I was staying nearby at an Airbnb and this was the closest eating option that was walkable. I'm happy they were open late. I walked in and order at the counter from a couple of pamphlets they had there. I was definitely feeling a calzone but they didn't have a peperoni one (not sure if this is even a topping choice for calzones) but I chose the meatball. I was really hungry so I overordered. I got a side of fries that wasn't the best. For dessert, I went with the Tiramisu. It was quite small but very delicious. If you do get a calzone go with the small size, itll be more than enough. On another day I returned to the boba café next door and got a brown sugar milk tea. I recommend both spots if your looking for somewhere to eat or need a milk tea fix. I've ordered Uptown Kitchen 1-2 times a week since the Pandemic started. Their pizza is so dang good. It reminds me a lot of the New York style pizza I grew up with in New Jersey. The crust is delicious, medium thickness. Great sauce to cheese ratio, balance of sweet, savory, and the teeny, tiniest bit of zest. I always get broccoli and spinach in my pizza. I'm pretty sure the broccoli and spinach are both fresh, which completely add to the appeal. They're generous with their toppings. Like many Pittsburgh pizza establishments, they serve their pies with a ranch dressing. I've ordered the mozzarella sticks a few times. Very good, has to mess up. The dipping marinara is pretty good. Also the fries. They have some sort of good coating on them. Included with Heinz ketchup! I really wish I could eat at Uptown Pizza, but this is the best for now. Ordered food and had it delivered on a recommendation from my hotel. It was late when I got in and there were no places close by still open. Their mini meat lovers pizza was the perfect size for me. It had 4 slices and was loaded up with meats. Crust was tasty and fluffy. I also got a small side salad which was incredibly fresh. Really good and decently priced. I ordered the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Pasta for lunch at work. It came with a small side salad and big piece of garlic bread for $12.99. The next day I had cheesy breadsticks and a steak salad. The portions were massive and way too much for one person (even though I tried lol). The pasta was perfect... The wings are really the only thing I've ever had from here, but they're the best version of wings I've had since moving to Pittsburgh. They're affordable and give you a lot of food. I took a star away because they do take a very long time to complete your order, and I've had a few issues with one of their drivers in the past. I'd give these guys 10 stars if I could. We are new to the area and we were staying at an AirBnB in the Hill district. We ordered a pepperoni and a cheese pizza plus 24 hot wings. Everything was super hot when delivered. You would have never known it was delivered during the December cold. The pizza was delicious. Everything tasted very fresh. They had the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, toppings, and dough. You can definitely tell the dough was freshly made too. The wings were cooked perfect with the right amount of crispiness, heat and flavor, and extra sauce. It tasted liked an original sauce recipe not a generic sauce. We took a chance on trying them because their menu had a wide variety of options and I was thoroughly impressed. Hands down one of the best pizza places myself and my family have ever ordered from. After having called the store 3 times we were told our food would be ready and delivered in 20 minutes after calling. We placed our order around 11:30 pm expecting it to take a while like normal. We were told our food would be delivered by 12:40 am. They close at 2 am and when it hit 1:45 our food still had not arrived so we called again for the 4th time and they had told us we needed to wait again another 45 minutes. Had two great experiences with delivery from here. Third time the driver texted me when he arrived and I came down to get it immediately. By the time I was out front, no more than 2 minutes, he had left. No second text or phone call. When I called the number that texted me, he berated me for not being there and said he would come back. 20 minutes later, I call again and he says he needs more time. After 30 minutes from the initial text he showed up and told me not to fall asleep because he called my phone. Extremely rude and unprofessional behavior from the delivery driver.
