AMC ownership has ruined this movie theater. It's always messy. The prices on concessions has gone up considerably. Not to mention they are S-L-O-W. The ticket-booths outside are not used. They have you purchase tickets and concessions from the same line. This single line is always as long as the line for Space Mountain. They only have one automated ticket booth (usually out of service). This used to be my favorite movie theater in DFW. Over the past few years AMC has ruined this once great location. I'm not a review writer but everyone needs to know how awful this place has become. read more

Wow what a weird and unusual night. Went with wife to see Justice League and found place not to be too crowded. Had to purchase tickets at candy counter, which was an adventure in itself. I get the concept. People forced to wait in line will tend to buy more candy, popcorn and drinks. I get it. Well they ran out of most stuff before movie even started. So we winded up with 3 stale hotdogs, flat soda and a friggen pickle. All together about 40 bucks. Went to movie. Chairs were comfy and theatre was clean. Good. Well the damn walls were so thin, you can movies next to you. Well it was either movies or trapped souls who gave three or above stars to the place. Shame it used to be a good place read more

Went here tonight to go see The Nun. Horrible experience. First of all, the concession worker for one line just walked off after we stepped up, when the previous customer was taken care of. He saw us, just ignored us and walked off to chit chat with another employee. Get into the theatre and there's at least 4 large groups of teenagers who were not old enough to be in a rated R movie without an adult. P. S. They weren't with any adults. They were obnoxious, talked, and acted like idiots through the majority of the movie. Also, there were so many people on their phones, or playing with their smart watches. Will not come here again. The chairs were also awful. My husband and I both kept sliding out of the seats. read more

Went to the first showing of the day for our movie - 12:15. in theater 7. The theater was freezing. Had on 2 shirts and still had to wear my leather coat and gloves. Another gentleman from theater 5 ask the concession workers to turn on the heat. The women's restroom was absolutely disgusting - toilet paper everywhere on the floor, tampon wrappers on top of the trash cans in the stalls, urine on the toilet seats, popcorn everywhere. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned from the night before!! AMC if this is the best you can do, close the doors. read more

First off there is no control of the line of people waiting to get food, i alnost witnessed s fight todat because people were cutting in line. Management thought it was a grest idea to have only three people working the concessions while thr line was out the door. Maybe someone could also explain why the cleaning crew fibished cleaning at 6:29 for a 6:30 show. First AMC i have been dissapointed with. read more

Does anyone else notice that the seats at the Forney AMC (even when they were new) pitched you forward at an odd angle, making it impossible to get comfortable unless you get that row with the bars in front of it so you can brace your feet on it? Honestly, I thought when they became an AMC they might get better seats. We dodge the potholes and go to Mesquite when the same shows are here in Forney. Sure wish they'd do something about this! I thought when I'd retire that I'd be going to the movies frequently, but even though this theater is conveniently located, it is in dire need of upgrades. Went to this theater yesterday and will never go back. My wife had stood in a long line at the concession for about 10 or 15 min when a "manager" came by and told everyone they had to go to the back of another line because this line was for special customers. Everyone moved but I told my wife we would miss the beginning of the movie if we waited for the new line. We went without snacks. I agree with other reviews that it is not clean and run by a bunch of kids. read more

We like this theater. Comfy leather type rocker seats. Smaller crowds than the Dallas theaters. We've never had any of the problems the other reviews describe. read more

I usually come here with the kids for a quick movie. Sometimes their staff can seem lazy or maybe it's that they never seem to have enough people working. Food is average. Overall there better out there read more

Saw a movie with my wife and son this past weekend. The theater smelled bad. As soon as we walked in it it reminded me of a mixture of elderly person's closet they haven't opened in years and a high school boy's locker room. The screen and sound quality were fine. No sound overlap from adjoining rooms. read more

When it's Friday night and you decide you want to see a new flick, and everyplace else is sold out, check out Forney Stadium 12...Prices are lower than anything around and the movies are great. It's clean, friendly, accessible, and our number one choice in theaters. read more

The seats are awful. They feel like they are going to throw you to the floor. There were so many commercials and they continued for more than 10 minutes after our movie was supposed to start. Id give it 0 stars if I could. read more

contrary to the other reviews on this theatre, it's not so bad. the bathrooms were clean, the popcorn was good, and although they were out of coke zero, the concessions were as normal. the only problem with this theatre are the seats. some do have tears on them and they aren't very comfortable. other than that, it's a pretty solid theatre. would recommend going if you wanna see a movie for a low price! read more

OK, so! My Son and I wanted to see a movie. It was his first day out of the house after his tonsillectomy. Its about 1pm in the afternoon, and we buy our tickets and he goes to get the seats and I stand in line for popcorn. As I am walking back towards the theater, a male employee starts making sexual noises as he is walking with a female employee. I keep walking hoping he is not referring to me, but he keeps doing it! I turn to quickly glimpse and hes looking at my rear, shaking his head and licking his lips. I turn quickly but then get pissed so I turn back to say something but he walked around the corner and i'm not going to chase this ape. It was disgusting. More than anything i'm glad my Son wasn't next to me. We eventually left and I called to report him and sent an email as well. They did call me back so that was good, but seriously, I will not be going back to that theater. For the record i was wearing white jeans and a regular full length tank top. not dressed provocatively at all. read more

Manager, Jeff, said he was going to call the police on me because I wanted to know why this AMC wasn't selling the new Star Wars tickets like every other theater in the area. They start selling tickets at 11:59, hell the theater isn't open at 11:59. Well Jeff, the regional manager knows about this situation and I'll push the issue about the poor attitude you demonstrated. Walking me to the door and pushing me out because I asked a question is ridiculous. Although, you are a 30 year old working as a manager of a little movie theater. Time to find a new theater! The place was disgusting! I purchased tickets online and I came straight inside to get my tickets at the counter. A girl stopped me and said to go outside to get tickets I bought online. I said what is he point of buying online?!?!?! Then there was a very long line and the same girl walking around the very small lobby trying to get people to purchase a stubs card. No one was interested but she kept on - "you can go to the short line if you buy a stubs card". Seriously just get behind the counter and serve your customers! Then she finally decided to do something and went to clean the butter station and she pulled trash out of the jalapeños and made the comment that people always mistake this for trash. I said well it looks like a trash bin. She giggled and continued to dig trash out then put the lid on and left it there for unsuspecting customers! DO NOT EAT THE JALAPEÑOS! GROSS! I love going to the movies and frequently go to movies at what use to be Starplex Forney. Now is AMC Starplex Forney. Today very disappointed they were out of hotdogs, would be 45 mins till they had any. So we compromised and got Nachos and the cheese was so cold!! Are you kidding!? I can go watch a movie with the latest technology in a nice clean movie theater for $5 matinee. That's awesome.. throw in that I can get $1 hot dogs.. I read a few reviews.. and I don't buy it. Every movie theater I have ever been to has had lazy (youger) staff. It's true that this place is about the only show in Forney .. but I would rather come here any day of the week rather than go to some of the other theaters about 15 miles from this one at twice the price. I like this place it's small.. but it's a great value. read more

My family and I drive past a theatre to come out here when we want to see new movies at a matinee or evening showtime. Students and kids always pay $5 and that's what keeps us coming back! Even the matinee price I believe, up until about 7pm is $5 for everyone. Clean theatres with stadium seating (unlike Starplex 80/Dollar Movie Mesquite). Come here!! read more

We went to the Forney theater on Friday, Feb.4, 2011 after the snow storm, after taking our time getting there, they told us they had closed because nobody was there, the funny part was about seven other cars where also pulling into the parking lot to see movies. The other part that was upsetting was that people who had already bought tickets where inside buying popcorn and getting ready to see a movie. It was really disappointing not only to me but to all the other people who finally got to get out of the house only to find out the movies was closing, really you guys stay open on Christmas! read more
