Before the countertop replacement, my kitchen was fully functional. What made this experience so disappointing is that a major limitation was never clearly explained before I signed the contract. Throughout the entire sales process, Ivy (the salesperson) never informed us that we would need to separately hire a licensed plumber to reconnect the faucet, garbage disposal, drain, and water lines after the countertop was installed. We paid $1,300 in labor charges ($400 for demolition/removal of the old tile backsplash and $900 for countertop installation), only to be told by the technicians on installation day that they were not licensed to reconnect these items. We also purchased a new sink and faucet from the company as part of the project. However, the faucet could not even be installed because the hole cut into the countertop was too small for it to fit. This meant we were left with a brand-new faucet that could not be used until the countertop was modified. To make matters worse, the technicians damaged the wall while removing the old tile backsplash and told us they were not responsible for repairing the damage. After the incomplete installation, we contacted the company to express our concerns. Their response was simply that the countertop installation had been completed according to the agreed scope of work and the fee paid, and that plumbing and electrical work were not included. My biggest concern is not that plumbing work was excluded--it is that this was never clearly disclosed before we signed the contract. Had we been told in advance, we could have planned accordingly or chosen another installer. I also question the company's process. If the technicians are not licensed to reconnect the faucet, drain, garbage disposal, and water lines, how were they permitted to disconnect and remove those same components in the first place? If they were unable to complete the job, they should have made that clear before accepting the installation fee. In addition, if the company supplied the new faucet, why was the countertop hole cut too small for the faucet they sold us? I would have preferred to purchase only the countertop and hire my own installer rather than pay for an installation that left my kitchen unusable. I hope future customers carefully review the contract and ask detailed questions about exactly what the installation includes--and, more importantly, what it does not include. Don't assume the installation fee means your kitchen will be fully functional when the work is finished. read more

Terrible experience. I drove 15 miles to check out some countertops and maybe some cabinets was not greeted. I had to go up and ask the woman about a countertop and she was rude like I was bothering her. I asked her about a specific countertop and she said nope we don't have that one anymore. I stood there for a second. She pointed out another countertop and then she walked away. I was recommended to drive out here by my Contractor. My contractor suggested AMC for counter material as he had worked with them previously. So they were the 2nd supplier I visited that day. The first contractor only sold whole slabs of irregularly shaped material in various colors. So when I went to AMC, I was really blown away: Their entire premises are very well laid out, daylight bright so you can see the true colors and paricularly well organized. i.e They have a large selection pre-finished panels, 2' and 3' wide x 9' long. The 2' wide come 2 sides double thickness, and a small bevel...the 3' wide have 3 sides finished. They also sell other items that seem to be equally well presented. Their prices were much better than the first source, plus you'll find much less waste than buying raw material. The have a staff of 5 people and everyone seems to know their drill. Earlier this year, I got a beautiful kitchen and bathroom remodel, having purchased cabinets, countertops, sinks, a bidet toilet, tile, and other finishing touches from AMC. You can go to many retailers for that and be happy. But, what really separates AMC from others is the amazing customer service, which seems so rare these days. Not only do they listen to your concerns, but they address them. They even thank you or tell you it's good you call them with concerns, and they do everything they can to ensure your satisfaction. Buyer beware: Pro: They do have a large selection of countertops and cabinets. Con: Do not use their installer (paid by the job) and double triple check everything. They will never admit to any mistakes even after your prove it to them. Excuses come out. My handles were installed wrong and the solution was the installer pounding them with a tape measure. Be prepared to be hounded for payment repeatedly but you have to pay upfront so if there are problems they have been paid in full. read more

Never use VICTOR as your installer! Rude and impossible to work with and cut pieces incorrectly, blamed the company instead of taking responsibility. Very bad attitude from IVY - she behaves like she don't care about you! Our contractor recommended them but DEFINITELY NOT!! Later on he agree with me that recently clients are complaining about their attitude and he won't send them any more referrals. This place is so neat and beautiful. I enjoyed the experiences in the shop. The staff are really friendly and and patient. They answered alley question regarding to the kitchen remodeling and floor. We've used AM China before for our townhouse renovation. Now we are back for our condo renovation. This place has everything we need for bathroom remodel, kitchen cabinets and countertops, sinks, faucets and flooring. The staff is very helpful and we've looked everywhere even at IKEA for the modem look. The price at AM China is same as other places but it's their customer service that have us keep coming back. Kevin is very helpful and knowledgeable on the products and opens our mind to other products they carry that we are not aware of. He give suggestions which we are open to, he just makes us feel at ease with our big decisions and purchases. He even sent us a floor plan of what it will look like and a 3D presentation. I tried doing that at IKEA (you can read my review at IKEA). I highly recommend AM China to all my friends and family who are looking to remodel. Whether it's small or big projects. read more

My contractor sent me to pick cabinet and granite from them. The front desk girl speaks zero English and dresses/walks like she's working in a night club. Full of Made in China craps. Excuses excuses excuses...our original response was you spoke with everyone and no one can remember this incident. Now a month later it's your installer ordered the wrong pieces. This company is full of excuses and will not take responsibility. Just an fyi, I have the paperwork showing the size of the handles which I emailed upon request and called to ensure the email was received and left messages and no return call or email. A poor customer oriented business that likes to respond and follow up weeks later with excuses and blame. Company installed cabinets, sinks, faucets, and quartz countertops in 3 bathrooms, laundry room, linen closets, and kitchen last year. Quality of product is excellent and durable. Minor issue occurred recently with springs for two self-closing doors which was rectified immediately at no charge, even though the project is close to 18 months old. Style I chose was very modern, and I have received rave reviews from friends about the transformation of my 1990s house. I would highly recommend this company. We did the demo and they assisted with design, delivery, and install. Price was very reasonable. As in any major remodeling project there were a couple of hiccups. But the quality of the product, installation, and customer service far outweighed any inconveniences. The nice touches of slide-out pantry, knife and bottle storage areas, concealed trash containers, and the cleverest lazy Susan I've ever seen were extra bonuses. I'm told the company is about to start selling closets, and I am certainly going to follow up with them about that. Strong five stars! read more

This company did a nice job with the granite installation but horrible customer service! The installer broke a griddle on my range without saying a word! When I call them about this issue they got very nasty with me! Do not use this company not worth it! Do NOT purchase laminate wood flooring!!! Supposed to be long lasting, excellent for high traffic, great wear product. We've had it for 3 years and we now have to replace 1300 sq ft worth of garbage flooring. There's only 3 of us living in the home and we're barely home to begin with. If you drop ANYTHING, this includes car keys, the floor dents and chips. We had to get rid of my favorite office chair because the wheels left marks. We can't allow guests to wear shoes in our house. Basically, we can't live in our house for fear of the floors being damaged. Awful, soft, terrible product. FYI: we are super-extra clean, house always sparkles, only proper cleaning products used on the floor. read more
