That was the worst AMC experience ever. first of all the theater was impossible to find. It was like underground. if you call because you can't find it no one actually answers the phone. I think they had three people working. The popcorn was disgusting in the bathrooms were disgusting out of paper towels and soap in the movie theater was covered in trash. Also the people sitting next to us would not stop talking and we couldn't even move because all the other seats were covered in popcorn and trash. read more

If i could give them no star i will. They sold us for 3d tickets but play only 2d movie. When i go out to find someone there only the guy who dont know anything about it. After contact with another guy they said will check it but still no one come to talk anything to me. After waiting 25m there is a girl call manager said to me that they cant restart because its over 25m now @@ they let you wait over 25m just to say thats was too late right now & ask us to stay watch 2d movie or get back another time. First the good: Great parking, get atmosphere outside the theater with upscale restaurants, roomy seats in the theater, self serve "slurpees". The Bad: Who is the manager of this place?? Like other reviews, not sure who is in charge...popcorn on the floor of the lobby (it's not a crime to vacuum to keep a clean appearance) We came out of a late movie with NO employees to be found (floor was littered with popcorn, etc.). We had to wipe off our seats when we got into our theater. At Yorktown AMC they are cleaning the theater as the credits are rolling! Conclusion: Get it together AMC! This is a beautiful theater that will be ruined by poor, untrained, uncaring employees. AMC Yorktown mangers...please train these folks how to keep a nice facility!!! Jury is still out for me, may travel a little further to go to Yorktown. read more

Its almost like they dont want you to find it! I cant even explain how to get there because Oak Brook mall is already so complicated. Park in the garage between the container store and macy's.. the entrance is small and there are only 4 screens. On the bright side, there are only 4 screens, so for those in the area, this makes a good alternative to Yorktown. Jurassic World was sold out for the whole weekend while i was able to find next day tickets here. There is no Red Kitchen but there is a bar.. I repeat, there is a bar! The new assigned seating thing AMC is doing means you have to buy tickets online in advance if you want good seats. Walk ins are welcome but the close seats are very close. I love the new electric recliners with the lifting armrests for cuddle time with the bae. read more

Movie tickets are cheap here (around $10) and just flash your student ID and they will give you a student discount (10% I believe). The seats are super comfy and they pull all the way out so you are basically laying in a comfy sofa while you enjoy your movie. You can pick your seats so there's no need to go early to save your seats. It's kind of hard to find since it is hidden by the parking structure but it is near Nordstrom if that helps. read more

It is very hard to find and get out of. The parking is nice. The actual show has good sound and a large screen but I agree that the leather recliners are a little narrower than most. It's the food.. it was self serve. It was spilled all over, was very confusing. People were saving spots in line while people got the food and it wasn't readily available. There was no care taken in it, the popcorn was full of hard kernels. The pop machines were out of ice, out of certain pops. It was a mess The bathrooms are ridiculous. With all these shows the line is out the door at the female site. Why can no one get this right?. Everyone was trying to get in the family one. read more

The seats are not clean. Today we went to see Spider-Man 3D and my wife bought/spent $76something for 6 of us. We could not find/flag anyone down for help because we saw no one available so my wife went to the bathroom with napkins she got from the concession stand to wet them so we could clean off the greasy and sticky stains that were on the armrest and chair seats on 2 of our chairs. This was our 1st experience at this theater and possibly our last. By the way using a vacuum cleaner or something would probably be good to vacuum up the popcorn that we saw on the sides of the cushion/seat that we sat on.....disgusting. read more

This newer theater is small, which I like as I don't care for crowds. The location is in a slightly secluded area at Oak Brook shopping center. There are plenty of signs to help you find your way. The check in process was not efficient in my case. I did not purchase my tickets ahead of time. I used the kiosk, which worked until right after I swiped my credit card. So I had to go to the ticket window to purchase my tickets. Staff in window was not helpful when I told her what happened at the kiosk. I hope I wasn't charged twice. Facility is clean and modern. The electric plush recliners were very comfortable. There was plenty of space in the theater. Some kind of tray or table would have been nice. Audio and visual qualities were on par. Ticket and concession offerings/prices were typical. Bathrooms were clean. Off the beaten path, I recommend you check out this small theater. read more

We were so excited to go to the new Theatre but this is NOT the new Theatre. This is the old theatre. They gave us some confusing ass directions to get there instead of just saying it's by the old McDonald's. When we got in no one checked us in and the guys were all talking. Also there is a note in the door saying the heat is broke. It's obviously this is a lost land. No one cares about the employees or patrons. We ordered food which was great but the guy looked too high to understand our order. He took forever and we were late to the movie. Inside the theatre is so nice. It's older but the chairs are great to get cozy with a loved one. But ofcourse there was this annoying person talking and laughing and the wrong moments. Not the theaters problem but I just thought I'd add that. All in all I liked the theatre but I wanted the new one which is called Oakbrook 12. No one tells you that. read more

Just wanted to say thanks to the management last night at AMC Oakbrook 4. I foolishly purchased tickets to the new Star Wars movie for the wrong night. While everyone was a little irritated and frustrated, the manager at this location (unfortunately, I didn't catch his name) calmly addressed our issue, swapped out our tickets and had us on our way. Phenomenal customer service. While this theater doesn't offer the full dine-in experience (although, the flat breads aren't that bad), I would definitely choose it for future showings as it's far more manageable and calmer than your typical "megaplex" experience. As others have stated, definitely give yourself a little extra time as it can be difficult to find. It is NOT the AMC Theater that has IMAX written on it next to the CPK. This theater's located close the Macy's Customer Service area behind the parking garage. read more

The imax theater was a horrible experience!!! The workers do nothing! There were 5 people at the register when I was trying to get our tickets and they all acted like idiots who don't know how to do their jobs! They stood around when the could clearly see I was there to buy our tickets and even one there employees told them we wanted to buy our ticket in cash and they all just stood there talking to each other. And than when I finally did get my ticket and went in, at the concession stand, the girl didn't know how to do her job, took forever to give me 17 cents and she gave it all to me in pennies. AND TO TOP EVERYTHING OFF, I accidentally forgot my scarf in the theater and I literally called 10 mins after show was done, girl on the phone was unprofessional and rude. She finally said she would check for my scarf and an hr later I went back to go find and they said there was no scarf and that nothing was found and there's was nothing they could do! In all my yrs in customer service this place was the worst. read more

It's amazing! Complaints I have read haven't allowed for the fact that It's NEW people! It's gorgeous, clean, and a great comeback of the large movie theater to the OakBrook Centre mall. A pricier experience but well worth it after a day of shopping. The dining experience to come I am SURE, will only add to the ambience and variety. Definitely give it a try! read more

This review is for the theater on the second floor of the mall. Some of the rudest people work in this theater. The food service is terrible! The people taking food orders and especially the cashiers are so ill-mannered! It's clear they don't want to be there and hate helping people! Also you have to go to too many different areas, one for food/popcorn, one for candy one for soda, it's ridiculous how they have the entire thing set up! I'll stick to the little theater in my area where the people are friendly, the prices are reasonable and I don't have to deal with ignorance. read more

I went to the 7:45pm showing of Zootopia with 2 children and 1 other adult. Considering it was a friday it wasnt packed which was good for us. I like that they show you on a screen what seats are available before you purchase your tickets so you can make sure you can sit with whoever you came with. The tickets were pricy (Hollywood Blvd is cheaper and they serve you at your seat). I figure they are expensive because it's Oak Brook. The lobby feels uncomfortable. People staggered around waiting for their movie with no comfortable place to sit until show time. They're aren't a ton of theatres so you can easily find your movie. The confession stand employees we're friendly. The actual theatre was clean. I enjoyed the comfortable electric reclining chairs. Especially, liked that you can lift the arm rest and turn 2 seats into a "love seat". We walked over to the theatre from Le Meridian and were a tad confused when coming down through the parking garage. There were two signs to point you in the right direction but once you got to the lower level you had to search for the sign showing which way the theatre was. It's kind of hidden if you're walking there. I appreciated that the volume of the movie wasn't too loud. Especially, since I had two small children with me. I wish more theatres paid attention to that. read more
