We were in Orange County and decided to see a movie. Afternoon Sunday the mall was packed and we looked around and finally found parking. AMC 30 is the largest theater we have ever been to see a movie. The place is huge and the staff from the ticket booth to the ticket taker was friendly and kind. The MAX theater is huge and the seats are very comfy. If you are ever in Orange give this theater a try for a fabulous movie. read more

His energy, professionalism, and kindness stood out so much that we ended up ordering more just because of the great service. I'm a regular at my local Starlight Cinema thanks to their $6 days, but my fiancée and I had a gift card from Christmastime so AMC was our Valentine's Day choice. Prices were rough, even with a gift card, but where isn't that the case these days. The guy at the concession stand was really nice, all smiles and friendly. I don't know how they stand it back there in the heat, I'd be grumpy as hell. So shout out to him. The theater quality was the thing though: I feel like it's the exact same theater from 15-20 years ago. Same screen, same uncomfortable seats, same everything. It feels like all this particular AMC's profits go to the lobby and the specialized theaters like the IMAX and the Dolby Digital or laser whatever. The plain Jane theaters don't seem to have gotten any love in many a year. So it wasn't the most comfortable or impressive experience despite the price. I'll stick to Starlight. read more

Staff is good and helpful but I also order food and drink in the AMC app before I arrive. We saw "Running Man" remake here a few weeks ago -- it was my first time back at this theater after a few years (we live in a different part of Orange County). The screen was nice and big, good Dolby surround sound. So picture and sound is all good. But they gotta do something about the seats here: old and beaten up -- and they don't recline like they do at our local AMC theater. I've never been in the XL theater (is that IMAX rebranded by AMC?) and so I'll probably come back at some point to check that theater out. read more

A larger AMC location with multiple auditoriums, a big entrance with nice display and decorations. They have the most cleanliness by far, from the theater seats to the restrooms, to the way they designed itself, make your movie experience better, especially with the intimate showing of Accidental Getaway Driver follow by a Q&A with cast and crew. My bf and I frequent here for our movie dates.. not by choice but because it's the one nearest to us... This place is okay. If I comment on the facility itself, it does need improvement... Even on busy weekends, sometimes they only open the concession in the main lobby area, which has huge lines. They don't always open the other one, which usually had shorter lines. I wish they have a kiosk if people just want to buy a drink. If there is a separate just drink line that would be so nice. The place is not the cleanest either but I think they try... So overall, it's a place where it's more for the convenience rather than the experience that people come here. read more

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a movie theater. The manager, Lui, was extremely rude and unprofessional, with no sense of customer service at all. We had reservations for an 11:45 PM showing and arrived at 12:03 AM. Despite this small delay, we were not allowed to enter. When we asked for a refund, we had to practically beg the security guard, who was also very rude, to call a manager. When the manager finally came out, he was dismissive, unhelpful, and gave us nothing but attitude. To make things worse, six of our friends were already inside the theater. They ended up leaving because we weren't allowed to join them. When they attempted to request a refund, no one responded to their calls at the guest relations desk, even after multiple attempts to speak with a manager. I've been coming to this theater for over 15 years, and this experience was extremely disappointing. The lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer service was unacceptable. No air conditioning. It was hot asf inside the movie theater. Not enjoyable at all when it's hot. We left an hour in to the movie, because the heat was too much. The chairs suck and are uncomfortable. And the no air conditioning was disgusting. I had sweat dripping the entire time. I run hot anyway, but even my partner who runs cold normally said he was burning up. Come on AMC! Stop being cheap and not running the air conditioning in all of the theaters. The concession stand are had air conditioning, but not in the movie theater screen 8. Screen 8 had the old school chairs that were so uncomfortable! You have to do Dolby cinema for better experience. I'm a new A List member and have been here a few times since having this membership, however my last visit wasn't loading my ticket. So I had to repurchase it, and was told to dispute my charge with my bank to get a refund. How inconvenient and annoying. On top of the slow service here, I will be cancelling this membership and find other means to watch newly released movies. read more

This is a big theater located in the middle of The Block Outlets. Plenty of parking. It's clean with lots of amenities. Theaters are comfortable and have good sound quality. We saw Wicked and enjoyed every minute of our experience here. I love the large posters on the outside entrance. They have special pricing on Tuesdays. read more

This is a huge plus from the Norwalk AMC i visited but still, needs major work. Again I ran into the problem of small popcorn buckets and small recliners. My biggest issue is that only a small selection of theatres have reclining seats. Reclining seats are a must for me so although there 30 theatres less than 5 have recliners. I do enjoy that everything here was very tidy and kept. Parking was hard to find for a 9pm movie on a Sunday. This AMC location did have their a list priority line which i loved. Service here was also great Overall this AMC isn't bad but can use a refresh with their seating. read more

I love this theater cuz it so close to home! Only bummer part is the chairs are so uncomfortable. With they were more of a recliner style so I could enjoy the movie more that is the only reason why the minus one star. I love being an A list member getting faster service is always my fav benefit. The rewards program seams pretty good for me also. Just those darn seats makes my life tough lol but we will always have AMC as an option read more

In all my years of coming to all kinds AMC's and movie theaters in general I have never met a more kind and knowledgeable bartender than Amanda!! They were incredibly helpful and nice when helping me pick what drink I wanted, as someone who's is very picky and indecisive with their drinks they got it down to perfection! i ordered a strawberry marg and oh my gosh it was so delicious she said it was their favorite drink so i trusted her and they definitely did not disappoint!!! We went to AMC for a movie night and spent around $80 total. Unfortunately, the experience didn't match the price at all. The popcorn appeared to have been sitting in a bucket under a heat lamp, and the soda was completely flat. The theater overall felt run down, and the whole experience just felt stale and not worth the cost. We were only in the movie for about 10 minutes before deciding to leave. To be fair, the manager was kind and refunded everything, and the staff themselves were polite -- this isn't about them. That said, for the price, the overall vibe and quality just weren't there. Especially when theaters like Century at Orange offer cleaner theaters, comfy reclining seats, freshly popped popcorn scooped in front of you, and tickets for $12 (or $6 on Tuesdays), AMC just doesn't compare. Stephanie and Wanda are truly gems. Gems of humans and gems of staff at the AMC Orange. I lost my keys in the theater after watching a movie late at night and truly was so anxious about someone taking them or something happening to them bc obviously there are articles of sensitive information and whatnot. But STEPHANIE and WANDA were so helpful, attentive, and sweet to me when I frantically came in looking for them the following morning. I can assure you that the staff here goes above and beyond to help their guests, and I would recommend this theater to literally anyone. read more

This review is strictly for AMC food options. Beware of the "combo" deals. They're not really combos. It's just each item with their individual prices added up together so you aren't saving on ANYTHING. An example of this would be the flatbread pizza for $18. Do not buy this. First, the pizza is something you could buy from the frozen section of the grocery store and heated up yourself. Mine came out a little too over baked, so even the cheese portion was hard. It was $10 for the pizza and $8 for the large drink (which is how much it costs on its own/separately). You could definitely get the most out of the drinks here as you can refill them as much as you'd like, but the food.... Eat before you come. The giant pretzel is really yummy on the other hand. Is it worth $24? I'm not sure. It is outrageous in size. $24 could easily buy you a nice Italian pasta dinner at a restaurant or a hefty plate of barbecue with sides anywhere else. I don't think one giant pretzel is worth $24.. read more

So we got tickets to see Stranger Things one day showing and let me tell you it was a mad house. Especially at the concessions area. I've been to the AMC 30 at the block and I've never seen it that packed. I was assisted by a gentleman I believe was named Boston. I think he's a manger. This dude was calm and collective in the midst of all the craziness. I worked retail for 20 years which means 20 years of Black Friday sales in the 90's and 2000's so I know what staring down a crowd looks like and this guy Boston was as cool as a cucumber. He Helped me get my pre ordered concessions easily and had a great attitude about it. It's nice to see people who actually are positive and upbeat in a situation that could have dictated otherwise. Not the best, but also not the worst. The place was pretty clean, but it definitely could use a facelift. I was surprised to see that the seats weren't leather reclining ones because I feel like almost all theaters have them by now. Also, the theater rooms don't list the movie title before you go in. This made it difficult for us to find our movie room and we almost went into the wrong movie. One of the only good things about this place is that it's located in The Block outlet so it's convenient. I used to live right across the street, so weekends were always spent catching a movie here, so I recently decided to come back and catch a film. They've made some nice updates recently--a cute little bar and a bigger concession stand with more snack options, including different types of popcorn. But the highlight for me? Their vegan chicken nuggets. Absolutely to die for! That said, I don't come here as often anymore since I moved--and honestly, the ticket prices are a big reason why. $20 for a standard seat (that doesn't even recline) feels steep, especially when the actual screening rooms haven't been updated. I only came this time because my usual spot (Cinemark) wasn't showing the movie. At Cinemark, tickets are $12 and all the seats recline. For $20, AMC should at least offer a more comfortable experience--especially for a 3-hour movie. read more

Huge screen and great sound but to charge extra for reclining seats that creak when they move and don't allow for other patrons to pass thru the aisle when seats are reclined is a zero star from me. Very inconvenient having to readjust your seats in the dark when other guests want to pass thru. The line for concessions was well managed, though long. Theater was relatively clean and seats were comfortable. Restrooms were easily accessible and theater locations were easy to locate. One of the most important things about any place you go is customer service and today we found the best of the best and her name is Hannah. She was assisting the A List side on concessions and literally went above and beyond. This is the biggest theater in all of OC with 30 screens. I think it's actually the theater with the most screens in the world, it just doesn't seat as many as the labeled giant theaters do. It's still the biggest that everyone I have brought here have ever seen. I still remember when it first opened back in 1998. It's in the middle of a large outdoor mall, and there's lots of parking all around. It does get pretty full on the weekend nights, so you might have to walk a bit from where you park. With it having so many screens, this theater shows every movie out there, even the low budget unknown films. They may only play it for a couple of weeks, but they will play it. You will always have a large selection of movies to watch here, no matter what your taste is. And that's what I love about this AMC. read more

I am an AMC stubs member. I've been going to this particular cinema as long as I've been living in Orange County. I do like that there's a Buffalo Wild Wings close by. The parking situation can be remedied by parking on the Saks 5th Avenue Side - especially for movies that WILL sell out fast (as we've learned during opening night of The Force Awakens). It's your standard AMC. This will play a lot of event movies that might not get a lot of wide release. I've seen Ghost's "Rite Here Rite Now" and "Flow" here. For the record, I live in Irvine, and I prefer going to an AMC because of my membership benefits. The theaters are okay, but the customer service is pretty good. Overall, it's a standard movie theatre and a decent venue if there are movies that have a limited screening release. read more

On AMC's automated machine they should delete the recorded message about high call volumes and simply state - at no time are our phone lines ever attended, so we will never answer the phones.
