WHO LIKES A FREE MOVIE?! If you have a flexible schedule, and want to see a free movie, this is the place to find "recruiters" looking for mid week movie guinea pigs. This AMC has plenty of parking, located in the center of the mall, and has plenty of ticket booths and outdoor kiosks. Their concession stand had plenty of variety, and I like it better tha Regal or Century Theatres. I came here on a Thursday for a movie "sneak peek" and arrived at 5:45 for a 7 pm showing of a not yet released movie starring Hugh Jackman. The promoter for this movie was Nielsen Research, and they had their system down (ie: checking in, handing out wristbands, confiscating cell phones, etc.). I only wish they had a bigger nametag or wore a "uniform" look so we could identify the workers versus the movie goers. Many movie goers came directly from work, so we looked more professional than the promoters. At 6:15 they let us into the theater and I made my way to the top of the stadium seats for our 2 seats. I was lucky to be one of the first in the theater as the seats were DISGUSTING. When was the last time AMC cleaned their seats? I'm not talking sanitized (although that is probably what they need) but clean and maybe even repair? The seat I was about to sit on had gum, but the one next to it had a hole in the seat, like someone took a cigarette butt and burnt a hole. Come on, how the heck does a precisely small circular hole form on the bottom of a theater seat? During the movie, the air was stale and I could have sworn I smelled urine. It smelled like going to a nursing home, and I wonder if an elderly or a toddler had an accident in the seat or in the general area. The ladies bathroom was ok. I didn't find anything disgusting, but they did run out of soap, and their sinks could use repairs, as the "eye" to trigger the water wasn't really that sensitive. Its an older movie theatre which could really use a deep cleaning and repair. They do offer good discounts ($7 shows before noon), but wish they didn't charge for their Stubs loyalty program. read more

Of all the AMCs, this is definitely the worst one. The staff is really unhelpful and rude. We are stubs members and have been since the beginning and try our best not to come to this theater. There's always trash on the floor and in our seats. Last time I came here we sat in the theater for 35 minutes past the movie start time. No ads or trailers were playing. They finally came and said that the projector was broken. We wasted and entire hour waiting for the movie then waiting to get refunded. If you're going to see a movie here, just try to make it as low touch as possible. Dealing with the employees at this particular AMC is the worst, especially when there are so many AMCs. read more

With the exception of the new full bar that was added to the lobby, there haven't been any upgrades to this theater since it's opened 20 years ago. The theater seats are old, worn, and dirty. They don't recline, arm rests don't lift. Other theaters in the area have updated seats that recline, have seat warmers, and counters for food/drinks. Not to mention those theaters will deliver pre paid drinks/snacks to your seat. We only visited this theater as we had a gift card to use and this was the closest AMC. To top it off, this theater is also the most expensive - a whopping $14/ticket (visited yesterday, a Thursday night) with the least benefits in return. For the price, you can rent newly released movies from the comfort of your own home for $3 more with DIRECTV. read more

This place sucks. First time coming here b/c the theater i go too was too packed nd its very disappointing. The tickets are expensive for no reason, the drink machines don't have anything flavor just water, the popcorn are burnt, and the worse part are the seats. They are very uncomfortable and too close to front rows. I am 6'3 and I always like having leg room but not in this place. Today was not a normal day. While I was at a Buffalo Wild Wings. Right next door. I was trying to decide which movie to watch today. Through the AMC app. Since I have an AMC membership where I can watch up to 3 movies a week. I was just trying to see which movie to watch. And well as I selected a horror flick. I had confirmed my ticket through my phone. On the App. Moments after confirmation. My phone died. And I was like how can I scan my tickets? And how are they going to believe me that I just paid for my tickets not that long ago. And the fact that I had a few beers and I can assumed I smelled a hint of alcohol. They weren't going to believe me. That was my though. Bud I still went in and I stated my story. And well the usher had to still get her manager in. To help me with the situation. To to make sure everything was according to. And she did. Marisa was a great help. So helpful. She was multitasking with me and another individual and she handled the situation extremely well and on top of that. I believe she was training someone too in the process. Talk about doing 3 things at once. Quite spectacular I was impressed by her. Extremely and I thanked and I had to ask for her name so that I could write this review about her. She needs to be recognized for her hard work and talented skills. I hope to see her again throughout my future visits. What a great leader she is. Over 20 minutes and the guy behind the counter was only taking the AMC prime members making the general line even longer. Better off sneaking in your own food. After 2 visits now, I have to say my opinion of this location has not changed much. The customer service is nonexistent, most employees have an attitude akin to a teenager being asked to do chores from a parent. The lobby is a mess, but frankly that's sort of expected at a lower budget theater so no huge surprise there. It's hard to keep popcorn and soda from penetrating every inch of the lobby when it's busy. Lack of ApplePay is a minor inconvenience but will become more so as people use physical payment methods less in the new decade. If you have an option for digital tickets, you should continue that experience with digital payments. Food is what you'd expect for a theater, okay. Portions are massive or extra massive. Save money on matinee tickets so you can spend big at the concessions. Ada friendliness has improved although elevators are not in the best locations. The IMAX theater (16) might be the cleanest and most recently updated theater here. We recently saw Star Wars and the lighting, projector quality and audio were all stellar. The theater seating in this particular theater was adequate also. The strongest reason for the lower rating comes down to cleanliness, courtesy and convenience. The entrance is a long haul if you're mobility limited, but they can't change this so it's not used for my scoring. What they can change, is the professionalism and consideration of their employees who directly interact with guests. I fully appreciate most of these employees likely don't care about the customer experience, however it's the managements job to teach how they can fake it til they make it. I'm not looking for a red carpet and perfectly clean floors, but eye-rolling, ignoring requests for help and trash everywhere aren't pleasant. I truly wish there was a closer IMAX in OC to where we live, because unfortunately until there is-- this is our only option and we cringe anytime we have to come to this location. High marks to theater designer for IMAX 16, great design, ambient lighting, seats, carpet, sound systems, etc. fix the customer service and clean it up more regularly and this place could be a 5-star. read more

Haven't been to this theater since the college days, it looks the same! Lots of movie options, plenty of seating and always very busy on weekends. I love that there are kiosks all around the ticket booth so you can order your own tickets (self-serve). Evening movies are $13.59 per adult, the price is reasonable. First come first serve seating, not assigned. Watched Operation Red Sea here, which is a foreign film that was only playing at this AMC Theater in all of Orange County. Went to amc today to watch Atomic Blonde. This is probably the movie theater infrequent the most because it's one of the bigger theaters so it usually has a lot of movies, a lot of variety. Half the time I'll get some popcorn, which isn't too bad. I really wish they had kettle corn like the Century/Cinemark theaters, but this isn't the fault of this location. The theater seats are very comfortable, the staff member who took our stubs was very nice, and the movie quality was great. Overall no issues with the visit. A heads up to anyone who sometimes runs late like me, our movie was for 12:15, and previews lasted about 15 minutes so the actual movie started at 12:30. read more

I've been here a few times because this theatre is a little pricier compared to some of the others around. However the staff and the experience is always pleasant. Just be prepared to park far because it's usually busy. I went to see the new Spider-Man movie for my little sister birthday. The seating was nice and the view was great, a packed house. My buddy has the Stubs program so we used the VIP line, but if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have gotten any concessions beforehand. They really needed some help taming the line. I stopped in here to see a Chinese animated film on my way back to San Diego from LA. I didn't want to sit in traffic for hours so I figured this was a nice mid point between the cities and they were showing the movie I wanted to see. I'm from San Diego so I had never been to this movie theater or mall before. It was easy to find and the tickets were easy to purchase from the automated ticket machine. The staff was super nice and attended to my concession needs with perfection. I was excited to walk into an empty movie theater so I had to capture this moment in the form of a selfie. Obviously. Would have loved to stay and walk around the mall but it was packed with high school kids. I haven't seen a mall packed with high schoolers in years. We didn't even know they had Dolby at this location. We came to see the Lion King and it was literally everything. Best movie experience. I wish I would have seen Aladdin like that. This place sucks! The bar staff are a bunch of inexperienced children. The wine menu clearly had a column to purchase a bottle but when you order it they tell you they don't sell by the bottle. So much for sharing. We stood in line and when we were finally up to order, she starts helping the other bartender then comes back to eventually tell us she doesn't even have the wine we ordered. Three of us went to theater in Friday Aug 18th for a early seating. Our free tickets we had were outdated. The man at the front, sent us to customer service to get them exchanged for current tickets! The young lady at the customer service counter was amazing and very very helpful and very kind. I didn't get her name but she was very happy to assist us on getting updated tickets she updated all of the ones I had. It was an easy transition and she also did it very quickly to ensure we didn't miss the beginning of the movie. Then there was Wanda, Wanda exceeded our customer expectations. She was very courteous and very helpful. Even on the way out Wanda guided us to an exit which was closer to our car since we had my aunt with us who is very fragile and walking long distances is rough for her in the heat. Wanda is one of the many reasons we will be coming back to this theater. Then we ordered popcorn and sodas, the young man taking our order was having a hard time with our gift cards. Josh the supervisor came over right away and helped eliminate any stress we may have had over the gift cards. The way Josh handled this customer experience is another reason we will definitely be coming back to this theater. My aunt said she will only come to AMC orange for now on. We look forward to using the rest of our gift cards to come there and enjoy the rest of our movie experiences.. This place was disgusting, the carpet was dirty and sticky from all the food that falls and although i dont' expect the movie theater to be spotless, but at least have someone running around cleaning and sweeping. The people at the registers, just flat out clueless on Customer Service, lines were long and the cashiers kept carrying their own conversations (non-work) related. Not all the locations take ATM/Debit, I found this out after standing in-line for about 15 minutes, so i had to go make line at another register. This place was incredibly crowded, which I guess is to be expected over the 4th of July weekend! Overall, it's just your typical theater, nothing too impressive. The ticket machines out front are touch-screen, and the one I used wasn't sensitive which made purchasing a ticket overly complicated- for as expensive as tickets are here, things should work. The theater itself seemed pretty clean! Staff was friendly. And since it's located in a mall, there was a ton of parking. It just felt overpriced for what you get, so I'll probably continue shopping around for my regular theater. read more

I don't generally come here but for all Bollywood movies I have to since it's not shown in the theater near me. Most of AMC theaters now have recliners but not this one. When you get used to it, it's not easy to sit on normal chairs to watch the entire 3 hour movie. In my opinion either they should play it in some theater with recliners along with the normal seats or atleast show these movies in recliners for the first few days or 1 week atleast when most of the people interested would come and post that if someone still wants to see they can get regular seats tickets. I walked in thinking wow this place looks amazing. It didn't take long to find out this place was horrible. Our movie was set to start at 7:20pm. The previews came on at a little past 7:30. We were seated in theater number 5. As soon as you entered the the theater you smelled something odd. My husband called it the smelly sock smell. Whatever it was, it was disgusting. The sound was way too loud. I have been going to the movie theaters since I was 5 and this was way too loud. Half way into the movie, half of the lights were undimmed so there was a glare. WORST experience ever. The movie we went to watch sucked so this was a waste of $27 for tickets for my husband and I. I don't know if I will be coming back to this one. This is my closest AMC location. We love our A-list membership. The theater is just ok. Most of their theaters are showing their age and are nothing special. Complete with the old standard dingy fabric seats. So most of our visits are done in the Dolby Theatre here. It has the nice recliners and is very nice. If you are coming to this location it's the only screen to consider in my opinion. I was excited when they were adding the new IMAX with laser. It is nice but they really missed the mark by putting in the rockers instead of recliners. Lately the popcorn has been awful. Seems like it's either burnt or stale. They also have removed the straws from self serve stations and have gone to mostly paper straws that don't make it through a movie. This theater needs some serious upgrades. Most of the seats still have those standard movie theater seats that are uncomfortable and small compare to those comfy AMC signature recliner seats. But I do like the Dolby theater which has really good image quality and sound effects. Concession lines are often ridiculously long that if you decided to wait for a popcorn you would probably miss half of the movie. AMC 30 at the block is a standard movie theater and movie going experience, but their concessions are beyond a rip off. These prices are a great argument to skip the theater and stay at home. I like to enjoy a drink or cocktail before a film, but AMC is charging ridiculous prices for drinks they are NOT providing. I was charged $15 dollars for a bourbon "neat." -One of the best movie theaters there is. First off it is inside the Outlets at Orange mall which is great. You can buy your ticket and if you have time you can go and shop or grab a bite. -One thing I do hate: Parking can be a nightmare! If you want to go during the weekend, make sure you give yourself enough time to search for parking as it can be a little hectic. We have noticed it gets a little crazy around 6:00pm on the weekends. We usually park near the office buildings because one not a lot of people like to park that far and two we don't want to loop around the parking lots wasting time and waiting for a car to leave. -The theater itself is located near restaurants and shops. They are a lot of ticket booths as well as machines to buy and print tickets for convenience. As soon as you walk inside you can see the bar in front of you. Yes, you can drink. Behind the bar is a huge concession stand where you can buy a whole list of options for you to eat or snack on while you watch the movie. One thing that I didn't like is that the lines can get very long and they can be a little too slow. It was worth the wait for us. We purchased a bucket of popcorn (free refill with your free AMC points membership) and an order of curly fries. We got the popcorn right away, but the curly fries took about 10 minutes to get to me. They were worth the wait because they were very hot and good. -Another thing I like is that you can pick and choose your seat when you purchase your tickets. No more rushing to the theater to pick good seats. You can take your time and get to the feature whenever you want without having to worry about looking for seats. The two times we have been there the theater has been clean and we had no problems. You do get your occasional movie hoppers interruption the movie in the middle but, whatever. Located in the Outlets of Orange so there is plenty of parking if you can find one when this place is busy. Tonight 12/23/18 around 9:30pm they had no one at the outside ticket booths and they had one person at the guest service booth to sell the tickets or you can use the app or kiosk to get your tickets. Nice lobby lots of restrooms throughout this theater . FYI if you're not a a premier AMC Stubs member you're not a priority especially in the food line when there are only two registers going on each side if they see a premier member in the special line of course they get priority no matter how long the reg line gets. Theaters are nice and everything else too but I was getting a little mad cause it took forever to get my food I thought I might miss the beginning of the movie thank goodness for the previews but I just made it to my seat. So overall not sure if the premier membership is worth it with all the stipulations I may have to just stick with Cinemark. read more

Sadly, Century service has declined. The one ticket seller is forced to get people to join Stubs and the entire process takes at least five minutes per customer or more-I've seen some text a friend to decide where to sit. Daytime customers shouldn't have to pick seats if the theater is near empty. What's the point other than a horrible line. Lastly, they would be wise to look at the concessions at Cinemark, otherwise another 15 minutes. One line for Stubs premium and not helping other customers when possible is ridiculous. I believe Century is going to charge extra for premium seats- When does this make good sense? I appreciate the film choices and the poor person selling tix- if they can stand the pressure. read more

If you're debating on going to the amc in Fullerton or this one, I'd definitely choose this location! It's super clean and big and located right in the middle of the Outlets at Orange. I came here for the first time to watch Captain Marvel and it was great. I'd recommend the Dolby room bc they have the black reclining seats. The employees here are also super nice and helpful. I wasn't able to make my 7 o'clock movie in time and Dylan at customer service was able to give me a refund and tickets to the next showing! read more

We usually go to another theater but we decided to check out the AMC, because we get a discount on black tickets with our LegalShield membership. We print out tickets and they scanned them at the box office. We got our tickets and zipped right in to get our free large popcorn. We had really good seats which are comfortable and the sound was incredible. We saw the Kingsmen number two. There's a second concession stand but it was closed since there wasn't much traffic on a Monday night. This is a good movie theater but not great. Well recommended we will return read more

They played many Fathom events, such as Ghibli movies. - Reserve Seats in Advance 1 Star - Dirty Seats, non recliner seats for all rooms besides Dolby Cinema. Unlike AMC Tustin 14 which has Reclining Seats in every room. - IMAX is outdated and small. Shows movies in 2K resolution. It also have dirty seats too.
