thank you to the gentleman at the concession stand that helped me get my birthday cup! I frequently come here. The theaters are always clean. The staff is friendly. They have food drinks and snacks. Not to mention you don't have to pay for parking. You just have to walk a little bit.

A little controversial opinion, but i enjoy going here! People complain about the standard seats not reclining, it's gross, but i personally never had a bad experience with this theater, for me personally, i don't really care if the chairs reclines, as long as it's cleaned before we enter. The workers are super nice and helpful, they are VERY generous with popcorn refills! I personally don't like butter on my popcorn, mainly because they already lightly salted the popcorn beforehand. Me and my bf joined A-list a couple months ago and we have been going to this theater a lot lately, mainly because it's the closest AMC near us. We love the dolby and imax parts of this theater, they are super luxurious and Dolby inside is surprisingly spacious, like when we entered, it was huge and it felt like climbing a mountain to get to our seats lol.

This is the biggest AMC theater I've been to so far that has 30 movie auditoriums and it's located inside Orange Outlet with some good restaurants & shopping stores! Staffs are very friendly and theater is very clean & neat but they definitely need to UPGRADE their seats in the auditoriums and no recliner seatings even in the IMAX room!

4++ Large AMC located within The Outlets at Orange shopping mall. The concessions and folks working here seem pretty standard (a good thing!). The positives (for me): - 30 screens so you have a lot of showtimes and they probably have a few screenings of international and independent movies that are a little tougher to find. - thy have a large IMAX screen and theater with cushy seating. I came here specifically to watch Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning on an IMAX screen and thought it was such a treat since that movie was specifically shot for a theater/screen like this one. The negative: which isn't their fault really. Since it's in an Outlet Mall that's wildly popular, the logistics of getting here, parking, and walking over to the theater can be a little anxiety provoking. Some people might like going to crowded places, but sometimes I prefer being able to just drive up, find parking close by, and being able to get to the theater without weaving through large crowds and foot traffic. Overall, quality theater and great offerings due to its size.

It's been awhile since I was back watching movies at a theater - but I recently signed up for the AMC A-List membership subscription, and of the ones listed closest to me - AMC Orange 30 was convenient based on proximity to work and home. The plan gives you access to 4 movies each week - which is much more than I've seen, even in my busiest year of movies. I watched two movies on Saturday - HTTYD, and Lilo & Stitch - both movies where I've seen and are fond of the original versions. Live-action Lilo & Stitch remake wasn't as great - but HTTYD was awesome. I think it's party because of the visual and audio quality of the films. Both were seen in the "Laser at AMC" format - although they weren't clear whether 3D glasses were necessary or not. The visuals were spot on - sharp, vibrant, clear. Audio quality was amazing. When the score to HTTYD started playing - I was whisked away back down memory lane - realizing that I never did see the original films in the theater. Concessions were pricey as expected - but in AMC's defense, I think that's where most of their profits come from. The line was a bit long - even though I waited in the A-list line, I was practically ignored for like ten minutes before I walked away to find my seat. Oh another thing - you get reserved seating now - which is a huge plus from before, where you had to show up early to claim a good spot. The reservation system allows you to take your time to get to your seat - even forgoing the 30 minutes of commercials/trailers before your movie actually starts. The seats for both movies were comfortable - and had a high back - unlike other theaters I've been to. Temperature was a little warmer than I'd like though. Minus a star for the less-than-decent concessions experience - it was a slow/quiet day too - not sure why I was overlooked. Maybe they should rope off the line if their workers are going to ignore people waiting in it. Parking is easy - I parked in the back of the mall, closer to where the theater is. Will most likely be back sometime soon to check out the "Real 3D/3D-enabled" HTTYD.

AMX XL theater. Not really worth it, just regular seats.

We haven't been to this AMC since probably before the COVID pandemic, as nothing appears in my order history back through 2023. Walking in, the place looks EXACTLY like it did before. I wasn't expecting a major remodel, but I was hoping for something new besides the higher prices. I wanted to see Superman, and while we prefer the Dolby Theater, the times didn't match our schedule, so we opted for the AMC XL theater instead. The description implied a larger screen, but the screen we saw didn't seem any bigger. The seats were the regular seats in the basic theaters, and the sound was basic. Now, that's still not a bad experience, but just disappointing. What XL does claim is a 4K picture created by projecting lasers onto the screen. Although the image was quite crisp, it didn't enhance my enjoyment of the movie, and there really wasn't much difference from what you see in the Dolby Theater. In a nutshell, don't pay anything extra for XL if you don't have to. Otherwise, everything was just as I remembered. The bathrooms were clean, the employees we encountered were nice enough, and since we had eaten beforehand, which means we didn't purchase anything from the concession stand. So, really, no complaints, just disappointed in AMC XL.

Came here for the first time last week, which was a huge surprise to me, since I thought I had been to all the AMCs in SoCal! Parking was super easy in their giant lot, but it was a little confusing as to where the entrance was to the AMC. I walked through the mall and was able to find it. The AMC was bigger than I imagined but the theater numbers were all well marked. The theater itself was clean and well maintained and the smell of fresh popcorn lingered throughout. There are a large variety of formats here including IMAX and Dolby. The theater staff were also friendly and helpful. The seats could have been more plushy and comfortable and could offer more support, which is necessary for a longer film. I would definitely return to this theater, but probably only for the premium formats, as I imagine those seats are more comfortable. Regardless, the sound and picture quality was still very good.

Came here to watch a horror movie, seats so dirty and abandoned lowk made the experience scarier. 10/10! Wouldn't take kids here tho they'd probably get sick from all these germs. Hope parents read this before getting tickets!

How's the theater close, but selling tickets at 11:15pm?
    Jonathan B.

AMC 30 is a scam, purchase tickets to watch Black Phone at 11: 15 and they refuse to let me enter because the theater was close, if the theater was close why do they sell tickets for 11:15 pm showing. They turn away others, not sure if it was because they were Latinos. It's wrong that AMC takes your money by selling tickets and not letting you in.

Ask the Community - AMC Orange 30

    Does it serve alcohol?

Yes, AMC Orange 30 does serve alcohol to customers of age with ID, who have tickets to a movie.

Is the phone number just for looks? No matter what time a call is placed, right when you open, middle of the day or end of day, no one ever answers?

You may have to go to the website for answers. Strange no one answers.

Is your dolby theater 4:3 or standard wide screen? Want to see if Avatar 2 is worth it there.

It should be wide. Even the IMAX format at AMC here is wide. The closest theater that has 4:3 is the Regal Irvine Spectrum.

Have they updated to recliner seats in all theaters?

No, only certain theaters have them.

Do I need to show a vaccination card in order to go in your theater?

No. The Orange County theaters do not require vaccinations. They only require that the unvaccinated wear a mask unless eating or drinking

Does it offer movies with subtitales in spanish if not Does anyone know wjeres the closets one in Anaheim?

    Are there student discounts?

You can join the AMC stubs membership for free and on Tuesdays see movies for $5 all day. They also have students/teen discounts for popcorn & soda too.

Does this theater have recliner style seating?

Only the Dolby Cinema stadium has recliners. Everything else does not! Your best bet is either the Krikorian in Buena Park or Edwards in downtown Brea

    Does MoviePass work here?

    Yup!

Is there popcorn seasoning st this location? They're the ones that look like tiny creamer bottles with different flavors like cheddar, white cheddar, garlic, etc

The Block does not have a seasoning station. They do offer Tapatío chili and jalapeños.

The space is BEAUTIFUL, both during the day and at night. When we checked in on Friday evening they even had live music, but unfortunately I was feeling a little sick so I skipped it and told myself I'd redeem the experience the next day before heading to Disneyland. And I'm glad I did. In the daytime, the patio area is gorgeous--you can really appreciate the firepit seating and the little lake with koi fish outside. Such a relaxing vibe. We came by around 4PM to pregame before Disney and the bar was pretty busy. Huge shoutout to Arvey, the bartender who took care of us during our visit. Not only was the service exceptional, but he genuinely made some of the best cocktails we've had in a while. Sitting at the bar and watching him make the drinks was honestly part of the experience itself. At first we were trying to customize and tweak our drinks because we usually stay in our comfort zone, but after talking with him and learning more about the ingredients in The Peel's specialty cocktails, we decided to trust the process a little more. We ordered the Dragonfly and Playing With Fire, and both were amazing--beautiful presentation, really balanced flavors, sweet and sour in the best way. We're usually not big foam cocktail people either, but this visit might've changed our minds a little. Also, Playing With Fire came with a fun little presentation moment which made it even better. Honestly, I was really impressed with my experience here. I even came back for another drink at breakfast before checking out of the hotel lol. The dining area also looked beautiful and the food coming out to other tables looked really good too. Definitely looking forward to coming back anytime I'm around the Anaheim area again.

Parking validation is done at the front desk. They have a solid menu of appetizers, entrees and desserts and a very nice craft cocktail menu. It's sectioned off at the south east end of the lobby and feels like a more open space than a standard restaurant or bar and the vibe feels very OC, hipster, upscale. The only downside is the service is not consistent the last two times we've been here. The night we visited, there was a singer playing piano between the bar and restaurant area. I love entertainment at any venue, but the sound was way too loud for indoors and we couldn't hear each other talking. The reason I suggested The Peel for dinner was because I've been able to have conversations with friends and catch up without any competing noise from neighboring tables or crowds in the past. Maybe call ahead of time if there's going to be entertainment and if there's an event in town (Motocross was happening this weekend) to gauge the crowd and noise level before you go. The bar is fully stocked and they have a lot of craft cocktails to choose from and the drinks are consistently good. I had the Como la Flor cocktail this night and in the past I've enjoyed the Fera & the Dragonfly cocktails. The appetizers are great to share with your friends and there's lots to choose from. I enjoyed the Brussels sprouts and the mini sliders a lot and my friends really loved the chorizo flatbread. For the entree I got the smash burger and it's pretty filling and rich. You get fries with the order and the fries are perfectly crispy and tasty. For dessert we got the bread pudding, lemon cheesecake and lava cake. The lemon cheesecake was like biting a slice of lemon with some sugar. It's definitely for lemon lovers and I enjoyed it. Bread pudding ice cream was good but the bread pudding was alright and you can't go wrong with lava cake. Again, my only issue with the Peel is the service. It's not very hospitable compared to other restaurants I've visited. There was a bit of a wait from when we were seated to when our server showed up. He took our orders, the food and drinks would show up, and after that we didn't see our server for a while, so we were without drink refills and our table had dirty dishes that just sat there. I glanced around a few times and saw no servers on the floor, a server that was not ours that was far away or would try to flag one down for a refill on our waters but they were quickly leaving the area. We were waiting on the check, but just kept talking instead and then finally, when the check came we were in mid conversation catching up. He stopped by a few minutes later, picked up the check and realized we had not put our cards down to pay it and came back and dropped it off again. We paid using Google-Wallet at their point of sale system and sat back down to finish our conversation and the busser asked if he could remove the dirty dishes on our table and said, in a rude tone, "Yeah because we're closed already." We didn't realize they were closed since there was still a large crowd of people at the bar, and he could have said that in a polite way and said thank you for coming, but he made it known he has to set his jars of jam down on the table for breakfast tomorrow. Honestly, had our server come by much earlier and checked on us and left the bill, we would've left before closing. I don't usually think of a hotel restaurant as a go-to for dinner with friends, but this is the only one in a while that I would recommend because the vibe is unique. I hope the service improves, but other than that it's a solid restaurant.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended for me. When I order from a BBQ restaurant, especially when I'm paying BBQ prices, I expect the brisket to be the standout item. Good brisket should be tender, juicy, flavorful, and have that rich smoky taste that comes from being cooked low and slow. Sadly, that wasn't my experience at all. The brisket I received was dry, tough, and lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting. Instead of being easy to pull apart or melt-in-your-mouth tender, it was chewy and difficult to eat. The seasoning and smoke flavor were also underwhelming, making the meat feel even more disappointing. As someone who specifically ordered brisket because it's usually the star of any BBQ menu, I was surprised by how far it fell short of expectations. I understand that delivery can sometimes affect food quality, but since the food arrived hot, I don't think temperature was the issue here. The problem was simply the quality and preparation of the brisket itself. Based on my experience, I would recommend that others skip the brisket. There are plenty of BBQ places that do brisket exceptionally well, and unfortunately this wasn't one of them. I was really looking forward to this meal and ended up disappointed. I can't see myself ordering the brisket again.

What could have been an extremely stressful situation was made so much easier thanks to the kindness and professionalism of the hotel staff. From the moment we arrived, every interaction was positive. The valet attendant greeted us warmly and directed us to self parking. At check in, the front desk clerk was friendly, understanding of our situation, and helped extend our stay since we had no idea how long we would be displaced. Later, when we learned we might need to stay for up to two weeks, the staff again went out of their way to help and extended our reservation without hesitation. The pricing adjustments they offered were incredibly generous. We were originally quoted a much higher rate by the automated phone system, but once we spoke with the front desk, they applied an evacuation rate and even lowered it further as our stay continued. They also retroactively adjusted the earlier nights and provided complimentary parking for the entire stay. Their compassion during a difficult time meant a lot. We stayed in two different rooms, both of which were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Each room had the essentials, a small refrigerator, a large TV, and a coffee and tea setup. The second room also had a microwave, which was very convenient. The beds were comfortable, and everything in the rooms worked well except for the USB ports in the first room, but the regular outlets worked fine. When the evacuation zone was finally reduced and we were cleared to return home, checkout was quick and easy. The staff remained just as friendly and helpful as they had been throughout our stay. Overall, the entire team was professional, personable, and truly accommodating. Their support made a stressful situation much easier to handle, and we are very grateful for the care they showed us.

When I booked my reservation, I wasn't sure I'd keep it because the location only has a 3-star…read morerating. But I am glad I kept it. The outside is very unassuming. But the inside is spacious, nicely adorned, clean, with a fairly sensible layout/design. The check-in was pretty smooth, and the staff was very professional and engaging. The warm cookie is always a nice treat. There is a nice bar and restaurant within a few steps of the check-in area. No pun intended, but you should check it out. The drinks are on point, and the food doesn't taste like traditional hotel food. The wait staff there is very attentive and accommodating. There is a coffee shop in the lobby just as you enter the hotel. It's little pricey for what you get. I ordered a breakfast croissant. It was good, but again, pricey for what you get. The room was comfortable, cool, and clean. The 3 C's I typically look for when staying in a hotel. There is a decent work area. The bed was comfortable, and it had a nice-sized TV. The lamp outlet on the desk was a bit hard to find, and it's low on the lamp's base. Closet space is ok - standard. The shower had two conditioner pump bottles and one shampoo. There was no shower gel. Not a huge deal. I usually bring my own. There is a really nice outdoor space with varied seating. Some of the lounge-chair type seating have firepits. I forgot my swim trunks to get into the pool. But that's ok, there are usually too many kids in that type of area for me. I like a more chill, less noisy swim. The parking is tight. There is a small lot. About 1/4 of it is for valet. Although the valet team seemed pretty nice, I self parked my vehicle. There are some fast-food places nearby to eat if you aren't feeling the hotel food. And Best Buy is nearby if you attend an event and need some tech stuff. Oh yeah, and The Block at Orange is within walking distance if you need to do some real shopping, get something to eat, or just have some fun. Overall, it was a really good stay. I would revisit in the future. It was good value and service for the money. PROS * Good value * Nice, professional staff * Comfy rooms * Quick elevators * Nice decor * Pantry near check-in area * Good for meetings, seminars, conferences * Outdoor space * Tennis courts * Outdoor pool * Nearby food and shopping * Near the fwy CONS * Small parking lot * A lot of local traffic noise but it's not terrible * Room towels are a bit on the rough side * Could not remove the shower head and separate it from the docking port in the shower * Hurt my foot getting in the shower; the bottom area is a bit raised with metal trim. Just take your time and look down. You should be fine. * Commode flushes hard and loudly * The work desk is a bit small * The desk chair is heavier than most and has no wheels. It is hard to move easily.
