Bought three tickets to see Deadpool at 12pm today. When I arrived at the theater they told me one of my tickets were for the 11:00am showing. I was swiftly directed to the guest services. Guest services took my debit card and my three tickets. I waited there for about ten minutes without any explanation or conversation. Once he stopped typing into the keyboard over and over he said well there is only one more seat in the theater and he gave my tickets back to me. We go into the theater and grab seats, while my third party was told to sit in a terrible seat up front on the corner. After a couple minutes we see that the seat I paid for wasn't taken so we tell our party to come join us. Movie was amazing. Reclining seats were amazing. We leave happy. I drive about 40 minutes home and stop for gas. No debit card. Guest services guy kept it. I call over and over and constantly get hung up on. I finally get through to the guest services guy. He says, "Yeah we have your card. We tried to find you". Up until this point I was just inconvenienced and in a fine mood because the movie was so good -- Until he said that he tried to find me! Which makes me realize they knew exactly where I was sitting and where my seats were and they refused to find me! Now I'm super angry. I drive all the way back to the theater to get my card, another 40 minutes. I walk up to the guest services desk and the guy gives me my debit card. He doesn't say a word otherwise. No apology. Nothing. So I say, "Your system messed up the ticket in the first place, you kept my card and though you knew exactly where I sat you didn't bring it to me or call me on the number connected to the ticket order. Then I drive all the way back here and this is it? We are good?" And the man with no expression just says "yep". So l leave pissssssssssed off. What a horrible experience. read more

Reserved seating with reclining chairs? I am a big fan. We saw The Legend of Tarzan on a Thursday, paying little under $6 for matinee showing. The food/drink is expensive as advertised, but that is to be expected. If I am ever back in Jacksonville and want to watch a movie in absolute comfort, I would consider this AMC Regency 24. read more

Give me cocktails with my movie or give me a usable trash can. amenities are a plenty here. and I mean, plenty. They even have GF and Keto friendly options at the refreshment counter. They boast an 'all options' Coca Cola center and you can pick your own amount of ice and beverage combo. And a full bar !! FULL BAR!! WOW!! The Theatres are adorned with super comfy reclining seats - perfecto, until you have to figure out how to de-cline to get up during the movie. Hey, my man has a small bladder apparently. Even with allll of the extras, it was also like stepping into an establishment resting on its laurels. like ... "hey, we have a bar, we don't need to vacuum or take out the trash or clean the bathrooms". There was trash everywhere. I took my trash with me and threw it away at home. I had fears of a trash avalanche if I tried to place more track in the refuse receptacles. This is a clear sign of poor management. Maybe it was a one-time situation - it happens. But I really hope it gets better and proves to be the 5 star experience that it should be read more

I don't care for chain movie theatres and this isn't in the best area of town, but I have to admit, this is a really nice place since the renovation. When I came here this past weekend, everything was clean, bathrooms were spotless, the popcorn was fresh and the reclining seats were awesome. No issues with the audio or visual portion of the movie and there appeared to be workers keeping up the cleanliness of the theatres. read more

AMC.. please address this issue.. Auditorium is too bright for the for the cinema theater... You can clearly red lighting on the screen when the screen is dark. when there was a night scene or dark theme, there is lighting on the screen and the details are missing... In the bottom corners, there is just white screen, because of much lighting. The ceiling lights are dimmed, but were not switched off.... the ground lights on the side are too bright and are towards the screen... I hope this issue will be addressed... As a hard core cinema lover, I wasn't able to let it go as I wasn't able to get the complete movie experience... I also faced the similar issue in AMC west Chester in Ohio read more

Reclining seats and assigned seating (enough said). It's nice to go to a movie and not have to say excuse me are those seats taken. Staff is friendly and everything is clean. It's in a sketchy part of town, but there's enough security there to make you feel safe. read more

This theatre is so nice with the new renovations!! We were able to pick our seats online before we got there and we all had leather reclining seats! Better than watching a movie at home! Since we went on a Sunday afternoon the tickets were cheaper. I also felt the popcorn and drinks were cheaper than other theaters in the area. Can't wait to see another movie here! This place has done a complete 180. It looks great, the staff is friendly and the chairs are extremely comfortable.

Just left here, and I saw F8. Lemme tell you to: 1. GO WATCH F8 2. GO HERE BECAUSE THEY HAVE RECLINERS We went at 12pm and it was not packed AT ALL. We got snacks and everything with no line. Our theatre had a few people which was nice. The employees are all nice and I love how you can buy your tickets online and go right up to the kiosk, and not wait in the ticket line. Theatre was clean, and so were the bathrooms which are always a plus. This will always be my favorite theatre to go to, nothing is better than an AMC theatre read more

Well, Tinseltown used to be my theater of choice. However, my theater of choice is now AMC Regency. The only complaint I have is you pretty much have to order your tickets online so that you can choose the seating. But how wonderful is it to be able to enjoy a movie in a theater that is not overcrowded while sitting in a reclining leather seat. It's the next best thing to home. And if you pay the nine dollars to be a rewards member you get to upgrade your drinks and popcorn, as well as bypassing the convenience charge that fandango charges. The majority of the time... And I mean 95% of the time... Everything is very clean. Most of the people there are friendly and nice. The prices for the snacks are like all theaters and priced a little high, but as I said before, you only have to purchase the stubs reward card. You do get discounts and money back for spending money on both tickets and on concessions. It's pretty much gotten to the point that we don't see movies anywhere else. Keep in mind, the IMAX theaters do not have the reclining seats. I suppose it is because they need to be able to pack in as many people as possible to make money on those movies. But The seating is wonderful and all of the other theaters. If you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend it! And my has been really likes the pepperoni pizza! read more

I was greatly and pleasantly surprised at how nice this theater is now. The remodeling, upgrades were very well done. I love the lazy-boy style seats! This was not my favorite theatre but it is the closest one to me and at the time, the closest one for my friends and I to catch a newly released movie. I say it's not my favorite mainly because of two things: youngins and people who bring their youngins. Luckily neither were a problem on this visit. The theatre changed a few things since my last visit, such as having the Automatic Box Offices out front where people can easily walk up and purchase your tickets. Depending on what auditorium your movie is playing, you can decide where you want to sit. Brilliant! No more fighting over seating. The other thing I noticed was as previously mentioned, the recliners. Our auditorium had all recliners and the aisles were much wider. We chose the top row for comfort. It we couldn't see at least a fifth of the bottom of the screen. I was fine though as we suddenly got lazy and pressed the button to lift out feet. We didn't doze off though. Now all they need is to be able to order food from your seats. read more

The good: recliner seats, bar, and reserved seating The Bad: none of the good matters without great picture quality. This theater's safety floor lighting is so bright that it literally illuminates a third of the screen, making dark scenes extremely hard to see. On top of that, the digital projectors themselves are very dark. My wife said she felt like she was straining her eyes the whole time and I felt the same way. There are also extremely bright green exit signs on either side of the screen that are very distracting. In this day and age where a home theater cost the same as a 60" tv I'm not sure how a theater like this wouldn't make picture and Sound quality their highest priority. If AMC is reading this, it was theater 5 and the movie was "arrival". However, after the movie I walked into another movie to see if the same issues were occurring and unfortunately they were so it seems to be a theater-wide issue :( read more

I don't love this theater. I think it gets enough details wrong that the San Marco remains my favorite, and perhaps Tinseltown is better among mainstream theaters. Regency's seats are highly praised. They're recliners with electric controls (though you may not notice the controls if you don't know they're there). I don't know that they're more comfortable than regular seats however. Ideally they'd be a bit longer for someone of my height. This is the only movie theater I've been to that has a bar. It has hard liquor, unlike the San Marco and Sun-Ray which only have beer and wine. I've had wine here, and I'll have to try Bailey's or a cocktail next time.* Unfortunately, they aren't open in the afternoon (when I can get a glass of wine at the San Marco or Sun-Ray) and I like uncrowded afternoon movies. I believe the bar opens around 5, and perhaps earlier on the weekends. On a recent weekday evening every seat at the bar was occupied. The bar staff should be better: one was more interested in her cell phone than the customers, then left the bar unattended after giving me my receipt; another seemed to want to argue with me when I asked what times they were open, and gave me vague information that turned out to be misleading. * When I finally got there again when the bar was open I asked how large a serving of Bailey's was. The barmaid said it was 1 1/4 ounces. At 17% alcohol a drink (0.6 ounce of alcohol) of Bailey's is about 3.5 ounces. I could have gotten a triple for $17 and that would have been about one drink, but I can buy a whole bottle for $18. At that price, even if they only sold triples, they're charging about $113 for that $18 (retail) bottle. So we're probably talking a markup of about 1,000% assuming that they sell mostly single 'servings.' That's scam pricing. I got a glass of Moscato instead of the Bailey's. The theater is expensive. For a ticket, wine, and candy it was $25.36. That compares with the same recently at the San Marco Theatre for $18.20 or the Sun-Ray for $19.44. That makes AMC Regency 35% more expensive than the average of the other two places. The bathrooms are decent, but they only have air dryers and I've experienced faucets with too-low flow and too-high temperature. At a recent movie I heard the sound of a nearby theater when its movie got loud. You can reserve specific seats when you purchase your tickets online. There's a fee, but you may want to purchase online at any time where there might be a line for tickets. read more

Was here recently to see the new Shazam movie, had a good time but a couple of the employees were extremely rude. The girl checking tickets was very rude, but the girl I had at the concessions was extremely polite and helping. So shout-out to you "Caylee", but despite that. It was so-so. I came to eat popcorn, drink soda, and watch a good movie with the family. And this was fine. But. Having to pay extra for fancy seats and food choices, I would think the theatre can powerwash outside since it was trashed, use bleach cleaner on its fruit punch stained counters, air freshen and clean the bathrooms, and clean/fill its empty candy shelves. (Just want to point out first because we made this mistake, IMAX does NOT have the reclining seats contrary to reviews saying that EVERY theater has them!! IMAX has REGULAR old dirty seats!!!) I believe I have been spoiled by Tinseltown theater at this point so maybe my expectations are incredibly high. When the new Avengers movie came out we decided to give it a try in IMAX. I have been to other IMAX theaters and had an enjoyable time. I purchased tickets online and picked out seats in a great spot. Work got out a little later that Friday night so we made it about 15 minutes before the start of the movie. I didn't get a chance to eat anything before and my fiancé wanted popcorn so I volunteered to go stand in line (after trying to use the order from your seat on the app only to get an error message after placing the order). The concession line was long and took about 15-20 minutes to get to the front. I ordered a large popcorn, large soda and chicken tenders. I paid $27 for the three items and then the girl told me it'd be about 20 minutes for my chicken tender order to be ready. I was a little peeved that she couldn't have told me this when I placed the order so I wanted a refund because I wasn't waiting that long. As I walked into the theater the movie was starting. I had to scuffle along in front of everyone to get to my seat. It was incredibly awkward and they don't give you much room between the seats to walk. I felt like I was in a sardine can. The person next to me was using the cup holder and the person next to my fiancé was using that cup holder which left the one between us to use (I don't drink soda so I brought a bottle of water in with me which I had to keep in my lap along with my purse because the floor was FILTHY!!). I wasn't impressed with the cleanliness of the place. Everywhere in the building was a mess, the bathrooms, concession area, soda machine area was gross, seats were dirty, floors were filthy. I understand that it was a Friday night so it was very busy but the place was a complete disaster. I loved the movie but there is no way I'd rush back to this theater. I'd rather wait a few days and go to Tinseltown now than come back here. read more

Can't ask for more than the most comfy recliners in the city!! It is sooo nice to watch a movie without having to move or get up when someone goes by to their seat, that was so annoying. For the most part, great experiences the last few times I've gone, a few theatre hoppers, but in a sold out movie I've seen them leave without any problems. Been here several times over the years, recently they started pushing the "membership" up at the concession counter, I don't go enough to justify buying one but I am happy to pay full price for everything. The problem comes when your staff is repeatedly giving customers attitude over the snack membership, are you kidding me with this? It wasn't just one person and everyone in our party had an issue with the staff at the counter and their pushy or condescending attitude about the movie pass. Our group left and met after the movie and after someone brought it up we all found out we had the same or similar experience about how rude the people at concession were about the membership. Movie theater concession is already ridiculous but this takes it to new heights, I probably will not be using their concession again. It's not all bad their theaters are large and the imax and 3D is pretty cool. The best thing about this theater is the comfy recliner seats they have if you book them, it is truly great. They even have a bar up front with beer and all that, pretty great theater with the exception of apparently how they train concession staff on pushing concession membership. read more

Every time I go to this theater someone in there has a crying baby!! During a horror movie at that. The recliner seats are the only thing that keeps me going because I have a bad back, but it makes it pointless to pay all that money to sit there listening to a screaming infant!! Seriously they need to work on controlling people bringing in children into an adult movie at certain ages. Been to this theater 4x and it's served it's purpose well, lines move, staff seems chill, theaters are clean enough and normally work well except for my most recent visit. Went to see Black Panther in IMAX opening night. They really need to get the speakers in the rear right of the IMAX theater fixed. Sounded like they were blown out and had a lot of static coming off of them for most of the movie that was very annoying. Get that sorted and this place would be back to golden. read more

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! We were at the theater on 4/1/19 to see Dumbo at 1:45. For the 5 of us we ordered food to be delivered to our seats. We ordered online three hours before the show and the food was promised at 1:45 (I have the text to prove it) but at 1:59 when the movie was underway (it started at 1:45) our food still wasn't there so I had to go to the counter. The girl was just taking it to our seats. Of course no salt or ketchup for fries or napkins. When I complained to the manager, he rolled his eyes and said "do you want your dollar back?" - I spent $215 that day for tickets and food and that's the best he could do!?! read more

The seats are amazing... BUT I made the mistake on ordering some mozzarella sticks before the movie, I hate to do this but they don't wear name tags. The short black girl really held to the stereotype by being unfriendly, not even greeting me and being rude when I asked how much longer my food will take. Food and other foreign material that I don't even want to think it might be is caked on the seat cousins. This place had really ran down into the dumps.
