Rarely do I leave negative reviews because I know every one can have bad days or have things happen. So this review is not completely about the work that was performed, although it was not completed as promised. I had AMD come out to repair my dryer. It was making loud noises and leaving marks on light color clothes. After speaking with several repair companies, AMD had the best response time. AMD communicated well, showed up on time, and completed the diagnosis quickly, then did the repair. One minor issue is he did not have a shop vac, which I loaned him for our job. When he was finished the dryer was quieter and seemed to be working properly - although it still had a noise which he assured me was OK and would go after the first couple uses (as it needed to warm up and things needed to begin moving). The noise, never went away and is getting louder each time the dryer is used. I have reached out to AMD multiple times (email, contact form on their website, through YELP (which is where I found them), phone call and texting). He is not responding and now I will have to pay someone else to come fix what his work. Before completing my review I went back into Yelp to read his reviews and IMHO something must have happened with him, it seems like the most recent reviews are similar to mine. I had AMD come out and repair my fridge. He charged me $360 for the repair. However, my fridge was still not getting cold AND it was leaking water on the inside. I texted him to ask if he could come out and look at it again. He said to wait it out and make sure it was truly leaking... several days later I texted him back letting him know it was still leaking and still not getting cold, and he never replied back.... I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe he was just busy. So I texted him again a few days later. He still didn't reply. It's been a month and I have made a couple of polite pleas to him to please come back and look at the fridge. Even offering to pay him AGAIN to look at it, and STILL NO REPLY!!??? $360 down the drain! DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE IF LOSING YOUR MONEY TOO!! Holy cow, so I'm stuck at home sick with covid for the second time, and of course our gas dryer went out. I replaced a handful of parts myself--basically the stuff that everyone in youtube videos say to try replacing first...and nothing has worked. Then, I tried contacting a handful of appliance repair places, explained to them that I have covid and I don't want to expose any technicians. A lot of places don't seem to care about their techs and just want to make money. Andrew @ AMD was the only person to spend time texting with me to help me troubleshoot what few pieces I have left to replace. I don't know if I will be able to fix the dryer, but I really appreciate the level of service I received from Andrew at the end of his work day without making any money off of me (yet). Had this guy come out to assess our dishwasher issue, agreed to repair had him order parts and was told he would let us know when they got in to schedule repair time. Confirmed appointment for repair, day of reached out for arrival eta to be told we would need to be moved to the next day, a little frustrating but not a big deal. Confirmed timing for the following day and made arrangements to make sure we were home and available during service window for the second time. Technician no showed no called. Reached out and got no response back or any explanation for what happened. So now we are on over 2 weeks without a dishwasher. Super unprofessional don't waste your time with this guy. read more

We contacted them for dishwasher repair and they were super responsive! Within a day we had an appointment scheduled and they were at our house. They let us know the cost for parts and labor would be almost as much as a new dishwasher so they recommended we just get a new one. I really appreciated this! Fridge was freezing food and called AMD appliance repair to come diagnose. He was super responsive, came within a day and gave a good assessment of the problem. Prices were very reasonable. He did one fix, but alerted me that it may need another part and that I should contact him if not resolved. I continued to have the same problem and called him on a Saturday - he was responsive (even on the weekend) and came first thing Monday to do the final tweak. It is working great now. Andrew totally saved me from having to get a new fridge (when a number of other companies wouldn't even come look at it due to the brand). The young man came out and diagnosed the problem but said he had to order the part- a fuse. No problem but we set up a time and day for him to come back to install the fuse but he never showed up. I sent a message 2 hours after the scheduled time and never heard back. The next business day which was after the weekend I called and left a message. After 3 hours of waiting for some type of contact and received nothing- no call, no text and no email I ended up calling someone else and in less than 24 hours my dryer is now working again. Set a time frame of 10-12. A no show, no phone call. Sometime around 1:00, I called , and left a message, asking for a return call. no response. Not only did we tie up our day, but no repair.
