First time at MAMO for drinks and the restaurant was popping! We ordered a Hugo spritz and an Il Giardiniere, and really liked our drinks. They were super refreshing and tasty compared to the previous restaurant we came from. Service was quick and ambiance was lively. I would totally come back for food next time!

Lovely restaurant with cute decor and great service. Large venue and service was quick and prepared. Went with a couple of friends and everything was delicious. Did some share plates across group- various pastas, branzino, and vegetables sides. Really loved the pasta dishes and cocktail options were great as well. Overall great experience and recommend

Fine Italian restaurant with good truffle dishes --------------------------------- Food: came here on a NYC trip with a group and it was an amazing meal, especially the truffle pizza which had big truffle pieces and a thin crust; we split the carpaccio and burrata; the tartar was very fresh with capers and a nice texture and so good with the buttery bread; my friend liked the fish she got but we both agreed the tartrate was better Recommendations: truffle pizza, beef tartar special Affordability: more on the expensive side Ambiance: dim lights, cozy candles, loud music Service: unfortunately, the truffle pizza we ordered didn't arrive until the end of the meal and everyone was full; but otherwise good and accommodating towards allergies Good for: a nice dinner, special events/celebrations

Great service, great food and great wine selection ! Our favorite Italian restaurant when we stay in Tribeca.

Booked a reservation - table wasn't ready so we sat at the bar. The bartender was so nice and accommodating. Fernando is the BEST server. So sweet and patient. The service is great - everyone is open to answering questions and very hands-on in curating the best dining experience. I had the tuna, the beef, rigatoni (bolognese) and a plain Margherita pizza.. yum. Portions can be deceiving - they are small but mighty! And they might have the best Tiramisu in Manhattan.

5 star prices with 4.5 star service and flavor. Interior is okay though can feel a bit too cozy. Service is great beginning to end and all the servers were kind and accommodating. Best dishes: truffle pizza and burrata with shrimp and mango salsa. The sundae is where it's at though. Don't sleep on salted caramel ice cream!

We arrived early and enjoyed a glass of wine outside, the place is so classy! Upstairs, we were seated by the window and loved the beautiful ambience. The wine was perfectly crisp, and the angel hair pasta was absolutely delicious. My favorite detail? A little stool just for my purse! Such a thoughtful touch you don't see in most restaurants. Can't wait to come back and make a reservation for next time!

Come a Capri Focaccia Al Tartufo! We also got the Brussels sprouts. for dinner I had the cavatelli with crab meat- it was great!

Absolutely loved this place! The food and service were both outstanding. Our waiter--who was from Mexico--made the experience even better with great conversation, thoughtful recommendations, and attentive service throughout the night (plus a complimentary dessert, which was such a nice touch). It's a beautiful spot and surprisingly busy for a Tuesday, which says a lot. I highly recommend it for a dinner with friends or family--you won't be disappointed.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Every single dish we had was better than the next. We had the burrata, beef carpaccio, truffle pizza, branzino, pastas and steak. Not a single dish was anything less than spectacular. The wine our water recommended was wonderful and we ordered copious bottles. The service was some of the best I have ever had and the ambiance made my birthday dinner one of the best ever. Not a singular complaint about our experience at Mamo and we will all be back soon.

We had a truly excellent experience this evening at Mamo. Giorgi was our host & amplified our hospitality experience to the next level. He gave us such specific care and service, it made our visit so special . We were offered some excellent white wine selections from Italy and my favorite, a Chablis from France, followed by some excellent recommended, starters and entrées. We particularly loved the Come a Capri & Melanzane alla parmigiana. The La nostra Cacio & Pepe is not to be missed & we will be dreaming about it until we return. The Polletto arrosto con verdure di stagione was excellent & I especially loved the vegetables served with it. The dessert menu looked excellent, and we indulged in the crème brûlée. It was excellent and we cannot wait to bring family and friends back. Thank you again for the wonderful staff at Mamo for making our visit so wonderful.

Perfect Italian bread, olive oil nice and peppery, amazing salame, tapenade, a proper pepper mill

A beautiful fall day, where to eat near Canal Street. We went around the corner at West Broadway and discovered Mamo. Small, lovely, friendly, reasonably priced...and spectacular food! The genial and efficient hostess offered a choice of seating. Near the bar at the back, we could admire the Italian-movie-themed art and the immaculate tables. Seared tuna included a lemon/olive oil dressing to die for. Perfect Italian bread with olive oil, tapenade and luscious Italian salame, followed by penne al'amatriciana for me and penne bolognese for my companion were generous and really yummy. The crispy bacon and smoky tomato sauce on my plate were amazing, the bolognese very creamy, both dishes well dressed with pecorino. We had no room for dessert, but either tiramisu or affogato would have been perfect. I'm looking for an excuse to travel downtown and return, the roast chicken is calling to me.

The vibes in this place are amazing- as soon as you walk in you feel like you're in a luxury film with an old movie posters and candle lit staircase. The food was okay- I wasn't very impressed with the prices or the pastas (I had the bolognese) and it was OK. Fun for a birthday though (brought out a dessert with a sparkler)

The expansion into the building next door tripled the Taproom, and the crowds tripled with it. Here's the thing though. The Irish Coffee is still the best in America. Served warm, not scalding, cream whipped to order and floated so it sits like a lid. Three tables around me ordered rounds at 2pm and nobody was wrong. The Parlor upstairs is where the actual bar still lives. Sixteen cocktails you can't get downstairs, table service, relative quiet. Downstairs, skip the fried chicken (it's tenders, whatever the menu says) and get the fish and chips, which are honest. Service was fast and a little impersonal, which is what happens when your ground floor is 60 percent tourists photographing the dollar bills on the ceiling. The 1828 building still does a lot of work, low ceilings and all. Is it the world's best bar anymore? No, and half the old bar team has scattered to open their own spots around town, Limo in the East Village being the latest. But a Guinness and an Irish Coffee here on a weekday afternoon is still one of the better hours you can spend below Chambers. Book the Parlor, treat the Taproom as the warmup.
