I made reservations for my boyfriend and I for a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy, but a reservation is recommended. We ordered the mushroom tartare, the shakshuka, and the burger. I was obsessed with the tartare. It was so fresh, tasted delicious, and I honestly could've eaten spoonfuls of it. Everything we ordered tasted really fresh, which makes sense for a farm to table, but everything was delicious and flavorful. The fries were also top notch. I'd definitely return!

I came here with my coworkers for a celebratory lunch. Since there was a large group of us (10+ people), we ordered from a set menu. All the food was delicious, and the staff were kind and accommodating. I would definitely come back.

The food was just good. Pretty standard brunch. Very nice decor and ambiance. Spacious dining area. Recommend making reservations. Finding the staff for my check at the end and to get condiments was a chore The Bloody Mary had to be my favorite part of the experience.

Thank to the Mary Lane for hosting us for brunch! The waiter was amazing and so attentive to our needs. Food was good, although smaller portions and you don't get much bang for your buck. It has a very cute vibe as well.

Excellent farm to table spot in the West Village. It has a cozy atmosphere that you feel welcome the minute you walk in. The food was amazing, even something as low key as carrots were a standout. The crab galette was so tasty, between the freshness of the crab and the foam situation on bottom. My only feedback is that it really seemed like a crab cake and not a galette. The carrots are an underrated achievement. There is so much going on with the flavor profiles but it all works together seamlessly. The halibut may have been my favorite. Perfected seared to a crisp and beyond fresh white and flakey. Dare I say it may have been the best halibut I've ever had. Overall, absolutely great and will definitely be back to try some other items with the change of the seasons!

Such a good local spot. Service was great. Atmosphere gives neighborhood vibes in the best way. A friend recommended the Mushroom Tartare. It was beyond incredible. The onion focaccia was seriously the best I ever had. Braised short ribs were next to perfection. Cooked just right and the pickled cherry peppers made the flavors pop. Finished it off with the Chocolate Gelato. If you are in the hood Go!

Loved this restaurant. The starter burrata cheese was absolutely delicious and very fresh. The sweet potato lasagna is vegetarian and the noodles are substituted with layered sweet potato. It was so delicious. Would highly recommend. The chocolate mousse dessert was my favorite was surprisingly light. The olive oil cake wasn't as memorable but it was good. The service was also great and the ambiance is relaxed and also hip. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved this place. It was so great to be able to enjoy authentic, home style food from fresh ingredients while being in an upscale setting with beautiful ambience. The service was outstanding. Very friendly, attentive and our waitress provided many tips and recommendations. One of the diners at our table had their meal mixed up during ordering and the kitchen promptly remade the correct dish. The wine list and cocktails were incredible, this is now one of my new favorite NYC spots!

Met with a friend here and the interior is superb. The service is great and the bartender was not only warm, he was so knowledgeable about great pairings to have. I enjoyed a whiskey sour (not pictured) and it was 10/10. The coupe was freezing cold which allowed me to enjoy it a while after it was made. I ordered the cod and it was seated beautifully. The cod was fresh and nicely seasoned. I would definitely come back I try other dishes if I find myself in the area

We had an AMAZING dining experience last night. Gorgeous space, good buzz and energy, but not too loud. Our server looked like she loved her job. Enthusiastic and happy, very friendly. Excellent service. The food - WOW! We started with the onion focaccia bread and asparagus soup, amazing. I had the risotto and a salad, both were off the charts. My wife had the short rib, succulent and meaty with a deep rich flavor, and the carrots were delicious. We had the olive oil almond cake. Perfect ending to the meal. I highly recommend The Mary Lane!

Came here for a Sunday morning birthday brunch. I made a reservation the day before just to be sure but there wasn't a huge crowd when we got there so maybe a walk in would have been okay. We started off with the focaccia with olive oil that was the perfect savory bite. The scramble was also really yummy and I liked the garden salad that came with it!

Came here on a Saturday night with a few friends. I couldn't find the table on resy and thought I'd try my luck my calling and was able to snag a table indoors. The restaurant is nice and intimate looking. I did like the ambiance as I walked in. We were provided with the menu. I asked re: restaurant week menu but was told it's only available Monday to Friday only which was really annoying as that's not what I was told when I made the reservation (I literally asked outright if the restaurant week menu was available and she said yes). Nevertheless we carried on with the regular menu and ordered dishes and appz to share. All the food was pretty good. The chicken (which was their special of the night) was nice and tender, really enjoyable. The mushroom tartare was also great, not every day you see this on the menu of many restaurants. I would have given 4 to 5 stars however the misinformation was pretty annoying. Additionally during the ordering process, our table felt we were somewhat rushed as the employees kept asking if we were ready to order despite having only sat down and ordered drinks however I don't think this was intentional as we weren't asked to leave post meal - perhaps just being over proactive.

    Wedding dinner.

The private room was very nice and private. The food was delicious. It had a private bar the service was great. 2 private bathrooms available. I would recommend it!

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.
