They do not stand by their warranty and we had our home Repiped with them, as a preventative decision from any pipe leaks from our original copper pipes( that other neighbors were having). We have now had 3 leaks that has involved the hot water red pipes. We have waited 3 months for a response to our request to have all the red pipe replaced, so we can prevent further headaches with all the water problems!! They came back and said they would not replace all the hot water pipe, they would do the downstairs!! NOT SURE WHAT SENSE THAT MAKES!! We are very dissatisfied!! We just completed a repipe project with Ameri-Cal. We had a slab leak and got at least 4 quotes. My friend used Ameri-Cal before and was very happy with their work, so we made sure to get a quote from them as well. We ended choosing Ameri-Cal because they had the best pricing and was a friend referral. The entire process was very smooth, the work delivered as others have mentioned were top quality. I was so stressed about the slab leak and Ameri-Cal saved the day. They finished the repiping in 1 day and patching holes in another day. As someone mentioned, they did such a great job patching, we didn't even need to paint most of the patches because we couldn't tell there was a patch at all! No company is ever going to be a 10/10, but this company is 9.5/10. Their prices are good, and they have been in business for a while. They have repipped 5 houses for me and my friends based on my referrals. From the start, Paul has been doing estimates for us for 10+ years, the team is always courteous and fast. On some jobs, they have 5-6 guys working, but I've had as many as 10 guys working. They finish fast. The patch work is pretty good but its hard to match 100% unless you do the whole wall. They cover up everything and usually finish the job in 1 day, plus 1 day of patching. Wait 3-4 days and YOU prime and paint. Lets be honest. Pex is CHEAP. as in, the material for a whole house is $300-800. The rest is labor. Almost all big companies use Uponor and all get their materials at the same few supply houses. I'd budget around $10k for a full remodel to have peace of mind for 20-30 years. They'll do copper if you'd like as well. The price for the main meter to the house is often excluded but can be done with them as well. I would recommend a SLEEVED Type L copper or Schedule 80 read more

The best, multiple teams gathering at morning and did copper piping whole 5500 sq ft 2 story 65 years old house in a day. They already finished connecting and new fixtures about 3pm and a group started pressure testing and other starting job sites cleaning. Amazing speed. And few days after City inspection done. Followed, pro drywall repair crews two visits fix holes smoothly with mostly plumber's carefully saved cut out pieces. It was just before COVID-19, no problems until now. There was an episode about 2 year after repiping, a 2 ft area water wetting with few drops found downstair ceiling, I call them and they send a tech promptly and he told me that was not look like pipe leaks, but I insist cut open to check visually. It was upstair barely used bathroom wall soap tray's boundary seal was broken and during visitors shower water aimed to there makes smearing in. Resulting they give a free inspection but I have to pay my handyman to fix hole. My area, heard mice like bite PEX as like cheese, so my friend county building inspector recommended copper. I know it also have manufacturing defects leads cavity in unlucky case and I experienced two times at my office but it is still material of choice if use best rated products and good workmanship. And as long as budget agreed. My case, Ameri-Cal gives good copper deal. Huge better than other 3 companies, nobody even mentioned whole house repiping one day except them. I rescued from endless leaks from concrete base of house suffered decades. It been while ago but it just popup all of sudden during this Yelp search and I add my experience. We did a lot of research on finding a repipe company and found Ameri-cal on Yelp. Based on so many awesome reviews, we decided to select them to do my mom's two story duplex apartment.. I have to say they were excellent. They were on time, kept a clean job site and did a beautiful job on all the dry wall patch work. Had 2 shower drain stuck. They Roberto Moreno out and they arrived on time. They came in, open the water to check how bad it was stuck(it was so bad i can't even pore 2 cups of water in without getting backflow), grabbed their tools, and within 2 min it was unclogged. They were so quick that you might have missed it if you blinked. Fast and efficient. Same thing with second one. They said both were clogged with hair where the pipe bends. Which makes sense. Did both drain for $179. Pretty good considering another plumbing did 1 drain before for over $200 in 2018 which was 6 years ago. They were clean and didn't make a mess. It has taken me one whole year to decompress before writing a review about my second house pex pipe install to prevent anger reviews. Some Background: I had my first one story house re piped with lex with this company. Paul came out for intisl appointment. Reviewed how the process would go and the patching aftermath. Moving along... Gilbert was the Foreman and supervised the entire project and it went beautifully. Due to my great experience the first time, I came to them again when I bought my two story house. Paul came. Checked it out and provided me an emailed estimate, nice and easy. Cool, going as planned. Then the not so fun stuff started to happen. Carlos was the Foreman this time. Very nice. Appeared professional and easy to take to. The work was done quickly which I liked but then after checking at night, it was one problem after the other. I literally had over 25 emails back and forth with problems and scheduling repairs through the office. Someone cut an electrical wire so my upstairs bedroom lights went out after hole cutting. They tried to say it was already like that but I told them no. It was not. They got an electrician to open the wall after patching and then fix again. Then, we had a horrible sewer smell coming out of the laundry room. Come to find the unprofessional care of exposed piping draining into the laundry pipe. Exposed without cover. They came back for that. Then my tankless water heater was leaking in my garage, the exhaust pipe I should say. Carlos then said I couldn't vent out from the roof like my old traditional water heater. Another hole punched to the front porch siding which now spits out hot water intermittently. Glad no one had gotten burned yet. Poor aesthetics where seals were done. Then some time later, I wanted to switch out my tub surround for my kids room, when they removed the tub, there wasn't even pex piping done where there should have been. I called the company again and had them come do the job they promised a couple months back which was not done. Endless calls, conversations with the office men was very stressful. It was to the point of crying. I am sure the feeling of annoyance of receiving and making the call for me was mutual. I appreciated the office staff still answering despite of my horrible experience and pissed off attitude due to frustration and exhaustion. Who would have thought this project would turn into a nightmare. You ask, did they fix everything that was wrong? Yes, they did. However, it was a very long process with a lot of emails and calls. Schedules and re checks which made the entire experience a bad one. If you were to ask if I would hire them for this, I would say unless Gabriel is the one in charge, NO. Big money spent for under par service. Again, I feel it is related to inexperienced foreman of someone who is just too over confident and ends up making lots of boo boos trying to cut corners. After a few of our neighbors have had major leaks and had to repipe and repair major home damage (about 60 yr. old homes) while being out of their homes for some time, we decided to get ahead of it and repipe before we had an issue. Roberto Moreno arrived on time to clear a clogged sink in the garage. When a rooter was unable to clear the clog, Roberto returned the next day to power flush the line. Even with that equipment the clog proved difficult to clear. Roberto Moreno did an excellent job. Even when he felt the clog was cleared, he took the extra time to test both the garage and kitchen sinks to make sure water was draining all the way down the line. In April 2025 this company was hired in good faith to re-pipe our home. We also paid them an additional $900.00, $300.00 for each for our three showers to replace the internal valves and all new hardware, spout and shower head. A week later we realized if you used the shower downstairs and turned it off about 3-5 minutes later it started a very rapid leak of hot water that would last for about 20 minutes. This takes place while the handle is 100% turned off. How is this possible? They finally came back out and said the valve was faulty and replaced it. The next day the heavy leak started again. And after finally getting them out again they blamed it on the new spout and replaced that. The next day it started its 20 minutes of running hot water after being turned off for 3-5 minutes. I'm assuming it runs until it drains all the water in the line to the downstairs bathroom to the hot water tank in the garage. By the way the sink sputters out air when you turn it on. In contacting Ameri-Cal again they tell me in a documented text message that they understand my frustration. But have done all they can do, and suggest I hire another company to fix it! Really! Who is going to pay for that? It's obvious that when they cut the 104 holes in our walls and ceiling. That's when the plumbing was done incorrectly while the wall was open. And that they more than likely installed something backwards or upside down. And they just don't want to cut the wall open again and fix it properly. The owner William Vannarath and the branch manager his son Johathan Vannarath obviously do not stand behind their companies work. This unethical and unprofessional behavior is outrageous to say the least. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and trust me it won't end there. I'm sure this is only going to get worse and maybe there's a leak behind the wall as well. read more

I thought I had a very expensive leak under the slab of my garage. Bryan arrived on time and instead of just going right to work, he asked me more detailed questions to better determine my problem. After further investigating & digging deeper into the problem and without an expensive camera exam, we discovered that it was not under the slab but an underground water pipe leak alongside the slab that ran to a hose spigot. Since we never use the spigot, I told Bryan to just plug it off. He did and everything is now ok. Quick and inexpensive. Great service, Great knowledge, Bryan was very courteous. Ryan Fabros from Ameri-Cal came out today to verify if I still had water leaks and a low pressure problem. I had Alpine plumbing come the day before and there techs basically were not forthright in there findings. They told me I had several leaks. Ryan from Ameri-Cal was the direct opposite. He determined that there were no leaks. Fist thing he checked was my water meter and he showed me that the meter was not registering water flow wile we didn't turn on any water in the house. When I asked him if he would visually check for leaks under them house, he explained that since the meter did not show water flow there is no need to go under the house but he would if I wanted him to but then I would be charged for that and he told me that he didn't want me to pay for any unnecessary work. BUYERS BEWARE!!! I'd like to start with I never leave bad reviews. This time I felt compelled to warn other homeowners about this shady company! The director of the operation refused to honor their warranty. In 2017 we had this company redo all of our plumbing with the upgraded copper pipes, with a new upgraded water heater. Fast forward 4 years later, and 1 of the hoses that connects from the water line to the water heater springs a leak. Called the company, they realize the hose was installed incorrectly (bad workmanship, stated from their own technician). They repair the leak and we're back up and running; this was in 2021. Fast forward to present day (2023), and now the other hose (they installed) on the water heater springs a leak (opposite side of the one replaced in 2021). I call the company and speak with Michelle and Jonathan and they're now telling me the manufacturer warranty for the hose is only 5 years, and is no longer covered. I explained they either used faulty equipment or it's another case of back workmanship. Jonathan states if I can have another plumber come to repair it and state it's bad workmanship, he'll cover the cost. This is idiotic! Why would I choose them in 2017 for this job, pay good money, to have them tell me to use another plumber only 6 years after they did job! Very bad customer service. Beware, if you go with this company, you'll be fixing all their bad workmanship for years afterwards. This company uses cheap inferior parts, so that they make more of a profit. The attached picture shows their bad workmanship. Two different hoses used on the same water heater, all done by this company! Replying to Jonathan: How is that good customer service? Have someone else come out to fix an inferior product your company decided to use! Question: why didn't your company use the same hose when you replaced it in 2021? Could it be due to the fact you guys realized it was a crappy product, from the onset! Like the picture shows, your company uses cheap parts to boost your profits. This is horrible customer service! Update: I am raising the review to 4 stars, as they have agreed to pay for the plumbing bill and cabinet damage. I do appreciate that. I am very unhappy with the job Ameri-Cal Repipe did. Two days after our re-pipe was completed, I heard what I thought was a running toilet. I walked into the kitchen to see water gushing from under the sink cabinet. The master bathroom was also flooded. The pex they had installed within the copper pipe to get to the island had failed, causing a major leak on both ends of the copper pipe. When they pulled the pex out, it looked yellow and old - nothing like the pex they came with later to replace it. Several brand new cabinets inside the kitchen are now ruined and need to be replaced. The one thing I wanted to avoid by re-piping actually happened BECAUSE of the re-pipe - a major leak. Two days later, after calling several times, someone finally did come out to replace the pipe, only to have the shark bite fail and another leak under the kitchen sink. I sent an email to the company asking for the owner to call me - a week later and no response. Find someone else to do your re-pipe. read more

I just had my entire house re-piped with PEX by a very highly rated company in Orange County. As I researched the project I had hoped to have at least two companies come out to my home to look at the scope of work and make suggestions before submitting an estimate to me. I contacted Ameri-Cal and asked for a callback from a representative to schedule an estimate for my house in Redondo Beach, however I never received a call. I went forward with the company in Orange County and was very pleased with the work and results. I even had them install a tankless water heater and new water conditioner. I find that there are many businesses that are not good at customer service and follow up. Had they contacted me as I was promised I may have gone with them. I hired Ameri-Cal Re-pipe to PEX re-pipe my townhome in Placenita. They responded well and came out and re-piped the home, repaired the walls, and cleaned up. I was initially happy with the work and even referred a few more clients to them. I recently had to open the walls due to my neighbors plumbing leak and discovered some errors and poor pipe routing. I contacted America-Cal three different times and they never responded. I was even willing to pay they if I had to just to get the work done. I finally hired Tom's Plumbing Service to come make the corrections that Ameri-Cal Repipe never responded to.
