MIA to SVG Business. Trying something different, a Muslim meal. Unimpressive.

The problem with American Airlines is that it has now become a hit or miss, for upper class cabin meals. Coming back from the Caribbean, the first leg had a cold lunch box. For lunch, I chose the chicken, that came with rice, salad and an appetizer. On the last leg, it was dinner time, MIA to LAX and was looking forward to my preordered hot meal of blackened chicken (there really are no good choices). It was not a special meal either, because it was available on the regular menu. When it arrived, it was a lemony chicken (no blackened anywhere). Most disappointing was, that it was tasteless, no flavor, dry, all stringy and tough. I mentioned it to the stewardess, who did not really care. The overall ratings corroborate their overall performance and service.

While we were a bit delayed due to inbound plane being late, the team communicated very well so you weren't left wondering what was going on. We grabbed a first class upgrade a few days before the flight, so were served an excellent meal! We had preordered on the app so everything was in order, yay! Seats were comfortable and the flight was smooth. The flight attendant was friendly and efficient. We were also lucky enough to be on one of the planes that has free WiFi now - as long as you are an advantage member (free to join) so that was awesome. Can't really ask for more than that!

American Airlines is a major airline in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world for the number of flights and passengers. It also operates the regional airline American Eagle. In March 2026, my husband and I had round-trip flights on American Airlines between Pittsburgh and Miami. Their airfare, of course, cost significantly more than the airfare for a discount airline, but my husband wanted to fly on a non-discount airline in the hopes of having a better experience. For our flight from Miami to Pittsburgh, we checked in and got our boarding passes without any problems. Our flight departed and landed only slightly late. The employees spoke politely with us. Our luggage was not lost.

So upset, American Airlines damaged my suitcase and will not help at all! I was delayed and had to do a layover on my way from Miami to honolulu, Hawaii. Frazzled, jetlagged and worried about not getting to my new employers at the designated time, I did not notice my case had been damaged until a few days later. I had already left the airport where you are supposed to get a ticket for said damage as American Airline policy claims. All this within a few hrs/ days. Having started a new job abroad, my attention was rightly so elsewhere. On discovering the damage, it was impossible for days to get through to "talk" to someone on line and they were rude, unhelpful and suggested I use MY time and expense to go back to the airport to get a number. I offered to send an email to someone and have pictures of said case. Not good enough. No email was given for me to write to. When you want to "claim" online using their forms for damages caused they need a claim number (ie from the airport). So, without this number, you can do nothing. DISGUSTED ALL ROUND. Now I am out of pocket and have to purchase a new case. I have kept the useless chat records on file, and hope that American contact me to do the right thing.

Business Class - Dinner - The short rib was actually pretty good

I'm not sure why American Airlines out of MIA gets such low ratings. Our recent experience boarding and flying to Saint Lucia was a good one. Our flight arrival and return flight to Tampa also went well. It's our airline of choice. The airline representatives and flight crew were all very pleasant. The business class meals on board even seemed to be better (for airplane food). I was surprised with both the short rib plate and the salmon bowl. I could have done without the hummus. What you don't see in the pictures is the bread rolls that are served warm. The spice cake with cream cheese filling was also pretty good. It made the 3.5 hour flight more bearable. Make sure you bring a tablet with you. In flight entertainment is via the aainflight website through Wi-Fi. I ended up watching The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy. What a hoot! The episode even picked up exactly where it left off on the return flight home. I always discover a new show to watch on these flights. There are 2 Admirals Clubs and 1 Flagship Club (for qualified international flights) in Councourse D. It's a super long terminal, but you have your choice of lounges at the beginning and middle of the terminal. Not bad at all. I just wish that it wasn't such a long walk to passport control. The airline has nothing to do with that. We ended up arriving at D11 because the original gate (closer to passport control) was still occupied. That's another great thing. AA always sends text notifications to keep you on track. We'll stick with AA.

this airline is so shady. Yesterday my mom was trying to find a way home because she needed to go to work today and it was mandatory. She got on a flight by herself and me my dad and my sister were left at the airport. We were in Orlando for my sister's volleyball tournament and needed to take a layover to Miami which from there would take us back home in LA. In Orlando our flight got delayed over 2 hours because their mechanical crew was "needed elsewhere" and we could board after. then some bad storms came in and we missed our connecting flight in Mami. we looked what their policy was for making us miss our flight and it was supposedly a free hotel stay but all they gave us was some vouchers for $12. That have to be used at the same time in the same place. we took the next flight to Miami, which was our first layover because then they said that we need to go to Nashville with him. There will take us to LA. Then my mom showed us that they shaded it out the section that told them on the app that the delay was caused by maintenance hiding the fact that it was their fault we are not going to Nashville and are taking a direct flight home because one of the gay agents was really kind to us. Never take this airline ever.

My experience flying with American Airlines was not bad at all. I love that they give you snack and drink during the flight. Also you can have free entertainment or listen to music during the flight. They offer WiFi purchase where you can buy with money or utilize flight miles to pay for it. During one of my flights I had utilized my miles to buy WiFi and the purchase went great along with the WiFi usage. The flight attendants were great. My seat was comfortable. The only downfall I had with American Airlines was that my flight from Mexico to Miami was delayed which almost cost me to miss my connecting flight. I wish the previous flight could've communicated this to the connecting flight so they didn't think I was just take my time to get to the flight. I would definitely fly American Airlines again.

When we boarded the airplane, the pilot Captain David, offered my 12 year old daughter Kimmy, the opportunity to get a view of the cockpit of the Boeing 737-800 that we were flying on. And it gets even better, Captain David also allowed my daughter to sit in the Captain's seat and pose for some INCREDIBLE photos. The Captain also showed her some of what seemed like a million flight controls and explained what they did. My daughter Kimmy said that she can't wait to share the photos with her friends and that it was the "Ultimate Flex". I just wanted to give a huge thank you to not only Captain David but to the entire flight crew and of course including the flight attendants. The flight attendants were beyond friendly and our filet mignon dinner was delicious. It was an absolutely INCREDIBLE experience! Top Notch service from the beginning to the very end. This entire crew needs to be acknowledged for their outstanding customer service. And it was my birthday as well. What a birthday present! I flew from Miami to London and both ways the flight went pretty fast. That is a positive for me. We had two meals each way. The food was pretty good going to London and not so at all on the way back. As always, some of the flight crew is better than others. I knocked off one star and really it should probably be 2 because of a strange incident flying to London. Without talking your ear off, a passenger in front of us would not "allow" me or others to walk in front of her row to go to the other side of the plane. She actually ended up sitting in the VERY wide walkway in front of her. She yelled at each person somewhat loud. Long story short, the crew let a woman who had no business making the rules dictate to half a plane of people. Not only was it rude and bizarre, but it could be potentially dangerous. I don't understand how the crew could allow this and then tell me my purse needs to be on the floor for safety! I said something to a flight attendant and she told me the woman had the right to do this. She paid extra foe the emergency row. I did not even respond because....well...I did not want things to escalate. I contacted Virgin through the survey after the flight that was sent to my e-mail. They gave me 8,000 miles but really my hope is that passengers are not making the rules. I highly doubt any of the airlines I normally fly with would have allowed this.

This delay caused a domino effect of things that we had to miss and had already paid for in Europe because arriving a day late. This occurred over the Christmas holiday and it was impossible to reschedule anything last minute. We missed our train because of the flight getting in late and there were no more trains available for a few days to get to our final destination, so we had to book a flight with a different airline from London to Zürich or risk missing additional bookings that we already had scheduled. We ended up having to spend an additional $2000 because of this delay and Virgin is not taking any responsibility for it and pretty much brushing us off. I will never fly with them again and I recommend no one does either. They do not take ownership for their failures and do not care about their customers.

Their app and website are chock full of annoying advertising to buy extra features that for the longest was basic to what is air travel. But especially in these times, when there's must-take business travel, you have to come through for your clients! After my usual airline canceled my puddle jumper (west coast of Florida) business trip at the end of the day, my company and I had to scramble and thus found Spirit. The terminal itself was fairly clean, and my low rating doesn't speak to the personnel. The gate agents, flight attendants and pilots were courteous and professional (I got there and back in one piece :) Heading there on an early morning flight, I was able to get essentially first class with a seat in the second row. Although my seat was really comfortable, the seat in front looked a little ragged with part of the "bones" of the seat showing. My return flight I had a mid cabin (though still window) seat on a mostly empty flight. These seats were firmer and slightly less comfortable. Oh and they didn't recline. The planes did seem a little noisier than the one I took on American last such trip. I did join the $9 Fare Club if for the understanding of getting what I pay for. Spirit Airlines turns honest mistakes into a profit center…read more I've flown a lot. I understand low-cost carriers, fine print, and trade-offs. What I don't accept is a business model that appears designed to trap customers into accidental purchases and then stonewall them when they immediately try to fix an obvious mistake. On January 26, 2026, I went to Spirit's website to buy a seat and a checked bag. I believed I was purchasing a $69.95 Savers Club seat option. Instead, Spirit quietly charged me for: A seat ($47) A checked bag ($69) A Spirit Savers Club membership ($69.95) This was clearly an error, identified within minutes of purchase. What followed was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I immediately called Spirit: First call: 17 minutes and 39 seconds on hold, then disconnected. Second call: 18 more minutes, only to be told the agent couldn't help and transferred me again. When I finally reached a representative, I was told I was ineligible for a refund because I had supposedly "used" the Savers Club membership... on the same transaction in which it was mistakenly purchased. Let that sink in. I calmly proposed the most reasonable solution imaginable: Refund the seat, bag, and membership, remove them from my reservation, and I'll immediately repurchase the seat and bag at full price. Spirit refused. Repeatedly. Instead, they tried to push bonus miles and a small credit--completely useless to me, since my employer pays for my travel and does not reimburse memberships. I explained this clearly. More than once. It didn't matter. For over eight minutes, the agent refused to help while I remained polite and cooperative. At one point, I informed them I was recording the call. The behavior didn't improve. This wasn't about policy. This wasn't about fairness. This was about extracting $69.95 from a customer who caught a mistake immediately and tried to resolve it in good faith. Spirit Airlines has mastered the art of hiding behind "policy" to justify behavior that would never fly (pun intended) at a customer-centric company. The experience left me with the clear impression that confusion isn't a bug in their system -- it's a feature. If you value transparency, basic fairness, or customer service that treats you like a human being instead of a revenue opportunity, think very carefully before booking with Spirit Airlines. I certainly will.

There is one daily flight from/to Los Angeles on Delta, and the times worked a bit better than flying to Miami. Ended up working well as the flight to enjoy the week-long cruise from Miami on the Icon of the Seas. It's about a 5 hour in-air flight between the the two cities, so Delta uses one A321(N) with Miami/FLL flight attendants. I'm guessing it's primary a flight for cruisers, and we followed the standard path. My wife, her mom, and I were traveling from Los Angeles, meeting my brother (who was flying same day from Houston) in Miami. So the three of us planned to come one day early on the 08:20 - 16:17 LAX to FLL direct. The same plane is then used to go back to LAX (17:30 - 19:56), which is what we decided to take for our return on the last day/night (this did mean a 8+ hour wait at the airport, since the cruise ship rooms need to be vacated in the early morning). I ended up booking the 3 round-trip tickets about 4 months early, spending about 34,000 miles per each Classic Main roundtrip ticket (Basic would have been cheaper, but would have meant no chance for upgrade and no entry into the Sky Club). I check regularly to see if the price goes down, and this time it was worth the effort. Two months before the flight, the price went down about $50 each, so was able to redeposit about 5,000 miles each back into my account, all doable via the Delta website. The flight from LAX to FLL was uneventful, with automatic upgrade for the ladies to Comfort+. Free wifi worked well, and got my free Dots pretzels for being a Amex Delta Reserve cardholder. The flight back was not full, so ended up getting upgraded to First Class for my wife and her mom a couple days before the flight (what's nice is then you are able to choose a meal beforehand). My wife upgraded her seat (which I ended up using) from Main to Comfort+ for $49 the day before. I ended up having the row (3 seats) all to myself. The flight left almost 3 hours late, because of lightning storms in the area. There were people on the flight who missed or were about to miss their connection in LA. One person was trying to get to Sydney and would probably miss it (since even if they got there on time, their checked bags would probably not). Later learnt that international flights do not allow checked bags to be flown if the owner is not on that flight. The opposite is allowed however, with the passengers flying without their luggage (a special exception is made for that same luggage to be flown on a later flight to join their owner).

So i instantly got worried, looked up some other airlines and some of them had worse scores, some of them better, but im not sure if this is actually something i should be worried about or not could someone please help me out here, should i see if i can change airlines for my own safety and peace of mind or does it not matter? The actual service took around an hour. The technician was professional and kept the work area reasonably clean. After completing the repair, he tested the AC and explained what had been fixed. The AC was working properly when he finished, which was the main thing I was looking for. One thing I particularly liked was the communication. When I had a question about the service, I was able to contact the company and get an answer. The staff member on the phone was polite and tried to explain the process clearly. There was one area that could be improved. The waiting time was slightly longer than I originally expected, so better communication about the exact arrival time would have made the experience even better. Apart from that, I did not have any major problems with the service. The final experience was positive for me. I found the booking process straightforward, the communication helpful, and the actual service satisfactory. I also appreciated that the technician explained the work instead of simply completing it and leaving. Based on my experience, I would give **Airline Airport Services 4 out of 5 stars**. I would consider using them again if I needed the same type of service in the future. Of course, everyone's experience can be different, but based on my own visit, I was generally satisfied with the service and the way the booking and repair were handled. Overall, the main positives for me were the easy booking process, helpful communication, professional service, and the fact that the problem was resolved. With slightly better timing communication, the experience could have been even better.

I initially contacted the company by phone to ask about availability, pricing, and how soon a technician could visit. My experience with Airline Airport Services was generally positive. The booking process was straightforward, and the person I spoke with over the phone clearly explained the service details and provided an estimated arrival time. I appreciated having a clear understanding of what the service included instead of having to figure everything out on my own. The technician arrived close to the scheduled time and began by inspecting the AC to determine the cause of the problem. Before starting the repair, he explained what he had found and discussed the work that needed to be completed. I found this helpful because I knew what to expect and was not left wondering about the repair process.

It was a quick trip to Chicago today and we boarded on time, left a few minutes early and the plane was new and very clean. Staff was friendly. My only concern is, we fly home tomorrow night and I did see something that they were considering shutting down all operations this week. Fingers crossed I get home and my future flights are still ok.

The planes are yellow, has smaller seats, and leg room. I've read mixed reviews. My experience was a good one. We took a direct flight from Bradley Airport to South Florida. From beginning to end, the experience was great. The flights were comfortable. Why 5 stars? We had a lovely flight attendant, wish I got her name. My toddler was freaking out on a very early flight back home. He was tired and couldn't get comfortable so he was crying. She picked him up an rocked him to sleep for me, wow, talk about 5 star service. As a parent, we know how stressful it can be to fly with young kids. The flight going to Florida he was amazing but the flight back, it was too early and he was cranky. Thank you to this flight attendant for saving the day.
