After walking around the area for about an hour after drop-off, I returned and noticed my vehicle was still sitting in the same guest parking spot at the side of the building where I had left it. By 11:00 (after waiting over 90 minutes/nearly two hours from drop-off) with no phone call update and no apparent movement of the vehicle, I went to the front desk to ask about the status. Shortly after I asked, the vehicle was brought into the shop and I was assured the diagnostic would take "about" 30 minutes. It ended up taking closer to 50 before I got up again to ask about an update. My main frustration was not the diagnosis itself, but the communication and expectations throughout the process. Everyone I interacted with was polite and reasonable, but I was given the same optimistic timeline despite the shop evidently being backed up. If I had been told up front that it would be hours before the vehicle would be moved, let alone looked at, I would have planned my morning differently. I do want to clarify that the issue wasn't attitude or service, it was a lack of clear and realistic communication. Better coordination internally and more honest timelines for customers would make a big difference.
