One star for the upsell tactics, I don't need a salesman to do my oil change. I need a mechanic who's going to tell me what exactly is wrong w my vehicle and someone I can trust. Not a salesman trying to upsell me a 1500$ fluid change, I can do fluids myself. Saying that if I don't change my brake fluid today, my car will lose brakes and crash. I said No thanks. This was one of the worst customer service experiences l've ever had. The staff were incredibly rude, disrespectful, and had a terrible attitude from the moment I walked in. They acted like helping customers was an inconvenience and were completely unprofessional. Their behavior made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome that I didn't even want to sit in the waiting room while my smog inspection was being completed. There's no excuse for treating customers this way. I came in expecting a simple smog check, but instead I was met with hostility and poor customer service. Had my 18 Y/O son get a smog, and he came back with no certificate but a list of things that should be done to the car. He never asked for them to look at his car in that way. There was no issues. So when it came to get smog done, they said they couldn't do it because the OBD plug was loose. They still charged him for the smog, but actually never did it. When I called to ask for the reason they couldn't proceed in the smog, He stated that the Technician should be able to access the plug easily and with only one Hand. I looked up the rules and it stated they can use both hands in order to access the plug...so they take advantage of a young person, and still charge him for something they never done. I'm sure they were trying to get more money other than the actual smog. Went to another smog location and they had no issues with the plug. I would stay away because I'm sure they are lying and making up reasons to work on the vehicle. So if you need work done or a smog, avoid this place. read more

The service was quick and the lady was nice. Went in for the smog of my car. They have 14.99 posted all over outside for the smog but once you get inside it says all cars passed 1996 are $19.95 now. I used to love this place. I would come all the way time for oil changes and spent a good amount of money on my old 2010 minivan. I replaced the alternator, lower control arms, and something else I can't remember. The car eventually gave out and I had to get a new car. This is where I started having problems. I purchased, through Carmax, a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander. I took it there to be check just to make sure there were no hidden problems. They told me something needed to be replaced and it was going to cost a few thousand but I could use my extended warranty through Carmax. I was still within me 90 days so I took it back to Carmax. They said there was nothing wrong with it and I didn't have any problems. I couldn't get into Carmax to get an oil change done before going on a trip to California so I took my car in here. They did the oil change but it wasn't accelerating like normal. I took the car back and they insisted that everything was okay. I took my car in for another oil change to Carmax and my car is driving like normal. I don't now if they placed the filter wrong or what they did but I will never go back. read more

Came to Vegas from out of town to purchase a car and went here to get a car inspection just to be safe. I'm so glad I did! I didn't catch his name but the guy who inspected the car was incredibly helpful and honest. Turned out some pretty substantial issues with the car weren't disclosed and he advised us not to drive the car home until it was fixed as it wasn't safe. We ended up not purchasing the car or getting the repairs done, so I can't speak for the quality of their repair, but they saved me a whole lot of money and potentially saved me from a scary highway breakdown so for that I can't recommend enough. read more

I went for a smog check the technician said you passed but your fluids need changed, your battery is leaking acid and your struts need repair. I told him two days ago my 2018 Honda was at the dealer for service the battery is fine the fluids were changed and maintenance done because it has 77,000 miles. VIP SERVICE stands for VERY IMPERSONAL SERVICE. The woman at the counter at this business would be a better intake clerk for Clark County Detention Center. She has ZERO, I mean ZERO personality! I was there a few months ago and wrote it off as maybe she was having a bad day. WRONG. Went back again and got treated worse than the first time. I guess every day having to go to work here for her is a bad day because she certainly has NO PERSONALITY!!! I even tried to see if maybe she was somewhat personable and asked what her air freshener was trying to get her to talk. Her response: I don't have an air freshener, I have a candle and it is citronella! End of CONVERSATION. Maybe the citronella is slowly eating away at what little personality she has. That was bad enough, the service is slow and sloppy, I have oil all over my floor mat. The person that serviced my car must have been short. THE WORST!!!!! DO NOT COME!!!!! Had an appointment for 9. Got there 15 mins ahead of time. The manager was out with his baby mama/ wife for 40 mins. Printing off insurance cards and doing who knows what else. Then tells us after waiting 50 mins they are unable to do the oil change. I had a Groupon so that's probably why.. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. Also a lady while we were there had to bring her car back in bc she got an oil change somewhere else and they told her all sorts of things were wrong from their repair. TERRIBLE. They don't stand by their repairs at all. They don't know what they're doing. Paid them to change my oil got up the next morning and the oil was all over my driveway. They had stripped the oil pan plug never even told me said everything was cool. I took it back up there the next day and they said oh no, they didn't do anything. Earlier in the week, I brought my car in for an oil change after buying a Groupon. The service was quick, affordable, and (seemingly so far) high quality, and the people there are very nice. BUT, right before my car returned to me I was brought back and the tech who changed my oil tried to upsell me for upwards of $800 on a 60,000 mile service and spark plug tune up and added the need for an overpriced filter change of my cabin and engine filters onto the receipt. I'm very glad that I said I'd bring it back for those since as soon as I got home, I did some research in my owners manual And I discovered that's standard for NON HYBRID internal combustion engine cars. Mine is a hybrid which means that 60,000 mile check actually becomes much closer to a 75,000 mile check (depending on the driving circumstances) and spark plugs can go at least another 20,000 miles normally. And even though the cabin filter needed to be changed, the engine filter barely even looked used. I do NOT feel like they were trying to scam me in the least bit. But I do believe he was just spouting off what the standards are for the more common cars without changing them based on the car he's working on. So just make sure to do your research. Still a good deal and a good clean job on the oil change though. read more

As easy as it gets. During these Covid times, its hard to get in and out of businesses in a timely manner without the frustration of being disappointed about lack of service or just bad attitudes. Not for these guys. I've been coming here now on my 2nd or 3rd year for smogs for both my Audis, and have been in and out faster than a squirrel on Crack. Located behind the Albertsons plaza on Decatur and Craig, VIP2 is not at all hard to find. Parking is limited, but it shares with 3 or 4 other businesses. Its Covid season so masks are worn here at this shop. I came here to smog recently and my car failed. 'Come back in 2 more days they said.' No paying for a failed smog, which triggered why I changed from my original smog spot of 6 years. They had me pay twice on a failed smog, then come to find out they loosened my gas cap to make it fail. AND they were right down the steeet! But thats another story, lawwrd. Anyways, I came back to VIP2 2 weeks later and finally passed, today. All I can say is, they know you if your a regular, they greet, and they are on top of it when need be.
