These professionals make excellent recommendations that have improved my power systems in my vehicles and RV. Today, I had the first battery from them go bad before the warranty date. Always been great customer service, came two times prior to get my battery charged because it suddenly was not holding a charge and finally advised me my alternator was bad. came in today to get my battery charged back up as the place they had recommended me to get my alternator repaired advised me to take my battery to have them charge it back up, came in and Joe the manager helped me out, nice at first but he told me to bring the battery in to get it charged, past two times I came they found me a loaner battery to fully charge my battery, which he didn't want to do, even asked me how many more times I wanted them to charge my battery..... really?? Start arguing with him then as he's walking away to get his 10mm to pull my battery out he cussed me out softly but heard him and confronted him and denied ever saying anything then says some white lie.... ok whatever at this point I'm just pissed and patiently waiting for him to put my loaner battery in, he doesn't even put a backup battery pack which they always do to all my vehicles so the presets don't get reset. Ok no big deal it's fine, tells me they will call me when my battery is charged and that I'm set to go...... ok great. All good to go, get in my car..... BATTERY JOE INSTALLED IS DEAD. Car won't start, keep in mind I came in with a fully working battery I bought from them just so they can properly charge it......... customers watched as no one did anything. Waited with no help until I finally was fed up, went in to their store got my original battery, got their tools, took out the old battery put mine back in and left. Joe you're a sick man, don't bring your personal problems to work, stay at home if you're gonna have an attitude like that with customers or take that manager shirt and put on an employee shirt on. read more

The battery I bought for my Ranger from Express Tire in Escondido on El Norte (that was supposed to last 65 months and cost me $188.00) died after only 36 months, so decided I would never go there again. Went to get a replacement battery for my car. Unfortunately it was 6 days past the 1 yr free replacement period (bummer), but with the pro rata it only came out to $18. I don't mind that price at all. The good thing is that the warranty restarts. I forgot to check their hours and showed up 10 min before closing. Don't even think of going to this Company to buy a battery. If you have a problem with a battery which is under warranty with them they will not honor it. The manager is an idiot. When you tell him that your one year old battery will not hold a charge and you have to keep charging it he says we have no way of testing that. We can only test to see if it is charged or not. I told him if he would take this defective battery back and give me some refund on it I would purchase a more expensive red top battery. The idiot then replied the only thing I will do is sell you another battery and charge full price for it. I will take your battery and keep it for several days and if I find nothing wrong with it you then will own two battery's. What a great idea the idiot had. SOOOO if you are looking to buy a battery take notice. If you have a problem you will have to own TWO battery's to make it right. Do not do business with the Idiots. read more

The guys here were awesome. I called in a couple times in advance, just to be sure they had exactly what I wanted before I took the ~30 minute drive to Esco. They were SUPER friendly, knowledgeable, and priced below any local shops. . even on par with the online discounters (I highly preferred getting my battery on the spot vs. waiting for it to be shipped). The folks at American battery checked it out and said I should take it to an Interstate dealer because it was still under warranty. They could have just sold me a new battery.
