Rep was very helpful giving me three options on primary battery and after verifying the connections brought over the secondary. Both were carried out to the trailer for me. Pricing was competitive. My dad found this place back in the 1980's and my family has been buying batteries on and off here for years. I bought a set of golf cart batteries 3y ago and due to a loose connection (my fault), I burned one of the battery posts. I brought the whole golf cart in the bed of my truck late Friday afternoon and was blown away by the rapid attention and service - supervisor Julio and workers James and Joel took great care of me. While Julio installed a new post on the one battery, James tested the rest of the batteries, then Joel cleaned up all the batteries, installed new nuts/bolts, replaced a worn cable, and applied anti-corrosive to the terminals - all for the nominal cost of a new post and cable. Once again, great experience at American Battery. We have 2 diesel Jettas, a diesel Dodge truck also running a swamp cooler from an auxiliary 12 volt battery, a Travel Trailer running off 2 6 volt batteries, and 2 Honda CT 90's. I've been getting batteries here for years. And I will always go here for my battery needs!! It's quick, great service, easy to use your warranty if need be. My battery was still under partial warranty so it only cost me 40.00 to replace it. I'm a person we definitely compares prices. And, as far as I understand it a battery is a battery is a battery so price comparing would be my typical routine. I was helped by a gentleman by the name of Chris I believe on my Focus, he approached me quickly and told me right from the start that they didn't have a refurbished battery in my size, he was quick and helped me get back on the road asap, and made sure it was my battery and not the alternator before he even rung me up! I called this morning and asked about the availability of a battery for my wife's vehicle. They stated the had one in stock. I immediately drove over to the Washington Ave. store. Upon arriving I walked in passing at least three employees, not one said a word to me! I waited at the counter and once again two employees walked right by me, ignoring me. Finally an employee walked behind the counter and I told him I was the guy who called in the battery for my wife's vehicle. He looked up and said Ok and went back to ignoring me. The last 2 batteries I bought there were dead within a year and a half. Each time I was prorated and had to pay 30 bucks for the replacement(almost 1/2 the price of a new on). I passed this time and went to Costco. Got another battery that has a Real warranty. 42 months,no questions asked free replacement. Same price. I try to deal local,but not on this one. read more

The prices on batteries were very reasonable compared to most places, and the variety was endless. I've been there about 3 times and each time I've had a different guy help, but they're always very nice and very informative. I would recommend this place to anybody with battery issues. This morning I was in Escondido on business and my 2010 Buick Lacrosse battery suddenly died from an internal short. I got a jump start and drove to the North County Buick Dealer who steered me to American Battery Supply. They had my battery and very quickly replaced my dead one. They were very courteous and competent. Paul, the service manager performed my replacement and was golden. I noted another customer who was seeking warranty replacement of a motorcycle battery purchased there and Paul approved the replacement without hassling the guy.
