We sat outside, and it was actually more charming than the inside--perfect for a summer night. We went to celebrate a birthday, but sadly they had run out of candles, which was a bit of a letdown. Food-wise, everything was solid: * The chicken was juicy and flavorful * The lobster roll hit the spot--fresh and satisfying * And the pasta with shrimp? Absolutely delicious. Overall, a lovely experience with just a tiny birthday hiccup. Would definitely come back!

This review is for the *hotel* Easy to make a reservation and the details of the establishment and rooms are very clear. Each room is unique and in a different part of the building and/or a different building entirely. Depending on this, you may be staying above a bar which I read can be very noisy, so you use discretion. Freindly service upon check in and easy check-out. The room that I stayed in (14) has a generous space, plenty of natural light, and very private among other guests. Very clean and modern decor. This suite has a tub and shower stall, and unfortunately the shower stall is on the smaller side. Complimentary breakfast delivered right outside your door includes fresh Goldberg's bagels, spreads, yogurt, fruit, OJ and coffee that actually tasted good! Such a nice touch. The hotel is in the most perfect location, making it so easy to walk in and out of town.

HOTEL - - - - - We were back again this year to stay at the noisier sibling to AQUA, the American Beech hotel, located in Greenport convenient to walking about the town with its many shops, restaurants and wonderful marinas. In the past we have stayed in rooms #1 King Suite , #10 Two Bedroom Suite, and #7 Petit King. Check-in is on Main Street at their souvenir shop, and all hotel rooms are located at various entrances surrounding Sterling Square with its mix of upbeat places to meet-up with friends: American Beech Bar & Restaurant, 1943 Pizza, or Black Llama Lounge serving Drinks and Oysters, and Monkey Bar. **Do remember its quite noisy well into the night on Fridays and Saturdays** *Daily Breakfast hamper served to your room at 9AM with coffee* *Plush Frette towels and bathrobes, Ortigia toiletries* *Fully stocked mini fridge* Only complaint - the place could use some fresh paint in a few spots, otherwise things went well. Thank you.

Came here for dinner the other night. Did not really enjoy It. It was very dim inside. I got the burger and It was OK. Great thing was the French fries. I probably wouldn't go back

Service was excellent from the host desk to the table server. This cute alcove held American Beach, a couple of other smaller bars and restaurants. The vibe was very high end beachy. Food was amazing! When I asked for a side of truffle fries, the server asked if he could bring it as an appetizer. We didn't realize it was super huge ($16) and every single fry was crisp and had evidence of truffle. All of us could not stop eating this platter of goodness. I order the steak with chimichurri, and it was delightful and tender. Everyone loved their meals. Presentation was eye catching and the we gobbled down every morsel.

Food and drinks were fine. However our 18 year old server originally tried to give us super warm champagne. We had to complain and he acknowledged it was warm then brought a cold bottle. Somehow I ended Il being charged almost 100% of my charge as a tip (I did not sign or authorize this) Proceed with caution if you dine here.

American Beech Hotel Restaurant in Greenport is setback away from the shoreline town. Parking is a challenge, but one will find a spot behind the restaurant/boutique hotel. The restaurant outdoor dining has an open airy cozy ambience with a comfortable bar area. The indoor dining area also has a quaint bar area as well. The outdoor dining area was lined with green bamboo with a bungalow appearance. Furthermore, in the outside dining area, there are couches that create a relaxing comfortable hang around the outdoor bar. There is also a wood-burning fireplace that I would guess would warm up the area during the Fall. We chose to dine indoors since it was hot and humid for outdoor seating. The staff was attentive in service and accommodating with the menu selection. The entrees we chose were exceptional, especially the sesame crusted tuna which came along with noodle seaweed salad, and other delicious ingredients. Also, the burger was delicious, wagyu beef, brioche, cheddar, lettuce, bacon, pickled onion, their creative sauce along with fries. I chose the day boat sea scallops which were accompanied with corn, bell pepper succotash, and pea shoots. Quite crispy. Overall, our dining experience was wonderful, and I highly recommend this restaurant for individuals that enjoy creative fine dining.

Very cool atmosphere, great frozen Rose's, great location with indoor and outdoor seating! Dined here Saturday evening. We arrived 7 minutes past our reserved time but were seated right away! Sat at a fabulous table outside by the bar. We all shared dishes and it was perfect for our party of 5. Steak-fabulous! Truffle fries-abundant and absolutely delicious!!!! Ceviche-not worth it -sorry to say but true (I am picky with ceviche but this was literally tiny, tiny pieces of fish with a drizzle of spicy sauce. Octopus-perfectly cooked and quite tasty Shrimp parpadele -very good Roses were amazing!!!!!!! Want to rerun just fort he roses!!

American Beech, we are so happy we decided to make dinner reservations here for Father's Day. Location: This hidden gem, (well maybe it's not so hidden) is located right off Main Street. It can't get any more convenient than that. There is plenty of street parking and we had no issues at all. Appearance: This place is EVERYTHiNG, I mean this place can transform into whatever you want it to be, it screams summer but also fall and winter. It gives me beach vibes but also classy, sexy intimate vibes. It's minimalist, boho, trendy, you pick the buzz word and American Beech is it! The decor is absolutely beautiful. Service: I can't stress how nice, attentive and welcoming everyone is. We arrived and were seated at the bar while our table was being prepared. We were seated with our 5 year old. The possibly owners/managers stopped by with complimentary champagne for Father's Day and apologize for the minimal wait. Our server was attentive and checked in constantly. I was able to see the owners/managers again who as they came around making sure everything was good. If you want a taste of what real customer service is like, come here, you won't regret it. My five year old love it soo much, she even wrote a review about it. See photos Food: the dishes here are quality and delectable. Every bite was very satisfying. The flavors in the shrimp pappardelle were rich. The chicken was also pretty good. My daughter loved her chicken fingers and fries. We had the watermelon sangria and it was perfect, not too sweet! Overall: we absolutely loved it here. We really wished we could stay longer and hung out at the bar but our 5 year ago dragged us out for ice cream. We highly recommend this place and we can't wait to be back. We are actually going to look into staying at their hotel. :-)

Really enjoyed the vibe of this restaurant. The Ambience allows for the perfect romantic dinner. The Tagliatelle & Apple tart was very delicious. We went when it was off season but I feel that this will be a better experience during the spring/summer season when American Beech has a lot to offer. I look forward to coming back in the new season.

Cute restautant in Greenport with the beach vibes. Went on a saturday around 5 and it was pretty empty surprisingly but got a corner to ourselves which was nice. Tried the lobster roll which was a special, the mussels which was pretty much a meal in itself that comes in a big pot also with chorizo and the truffle bacon mac & cheese. It was the right amount of food for 2. Also had the Day on the Beech cocktail that is refreshing! The menu is a bit on the pricey side so if you come hungry expect to spend but the food quality and service are good

We were here for a birthday dinner. We were guests so I can't comment on the value. The food for our group was from a prix fixe menu - my choices were shrimp tostadas - two generous pieces with spicy shrimp and guacamole. Everyone raved about the oysters Rockefeller. The burrata salad was fresh and tasty but the cheese was not authentic soft center burrata. My entree was chicken with onions, asparagus and chickpeas cakes. Two large pieces of tender moist bone in chicken. Short rib tagliatelle was good. Some in our party liked the scallops. We were accidentally served the beet risotto (tasteless) with tasty foraged mushrooms. Dessert coconut chocolate ganache panna cotta - amazing. IMO better than the chocolate lava cake. The apple sour cream cake with ice cream got rave reviews. Service was very good - all dishes came out at the same time. The ambiance is fun MSM.

My stay was ruined by a persistent ticking noise in the room that kept me awake all night. I called…read morethe front desk three times, but each time the call went to voicemail. I hung up immediately when I heard the voicemail greeting--no one ever actually answered, despite the manager later claiming staff "tried to take calls." In the morning, the manager refused to refund the room rate and only offered to waive the parking and resort fees. He suggested changing my room, but no immediate action was taken. Maintenance initially thought the noise was coming from the next room's bathroom. When they tried to investigate, the manager claimed the noise came from the neighboring guest instead and that they couldn't enter because the other guest was present. No proper investigation was completed, and my room remained unusable. I ended up paying for a room I could not use, with no real assistance overnight, and received dismissive and inaccurate responses from management. I hope the hotel improves communication, responsiveness, and accountability to prevent this from happening to other guests
