I wanted waistband to be altered (add inch with elastic). I provided fabric to be used if needed. They couldn't find my pants when picked up blazers (not in system). I was waiting for response on if they could do it and to give me quote. Staff called manager, quoted $45 and I said pass, please return slacks. Came back from vacation to pick up pants- they were altered. Elastic was not used and neither was my fabric (which is fine, but they kept it). I was upset with whole ordeal. Staff called manager again. Heard exchange and she asked him to speak to me- he declined. She offered a 20% discount. I said 25% because they kept fabric ( it was pricey fabric). I realized when I got home they didn't even add the elastic. I asked manager to call me back. This is the 3rd week day and nothing. I should have asked to put it in writing. The work was done well ( but missed elastic), the problem was disorganization, miscommunication, and lack of ownership from owner/ manager- he personally has not called to apologize.

I brought in a few masks to get straps installed so I could actually wear them. I clearly explained the purpose: "I want to ride with these on my motorcycle, so the straps need to fit tight." He said he knew what he was doing and measured me his own way. I left thinking he understood exactly what I needed. When I came back to pick them up, the straps were loose, and the only way to keep the mask from falling was to hook it on my ear. Completely useless. I told him I wasn't happy and asked if he could fix it. Instead of owning the mistake, he gave me attitude and tried blaming me for not wearing my balaclava the day I came in. Then he said he "didn't know they weren't supposed to hang on my ear." That was ridiculous. He kept trying to put the blame on me instead of taking accountability and simply correcting the work. I actually…read morenever leave reviews but wanted to give the ladies a heads up about getting your dress tailored here. Long story short, I had to take my dress to another tailor and pay extra money to completely undo their work and redo the alterations. Our request was for very minor adjustments for my elopement wedding dress. We trusted them because they confidently promised us that the tailor has extensive experience with dresses as well as suits, and that he does a phenomenal job with wedding dresses. I asked for my shoulder straps to be taken in a little so that they don't fall completely off my shoulders (which had to be redone at another tailor), and for the slit to be closed by just a couple of inches. We paid $100 for this service. When I tried on the final product, I immediately knew something was wrong. The hip area was too tight and I had trouble pulling it up, when it had fit me perfectly around my waist and hips prior to the alteration. The shoulder strap was still long, and the slit was very awkwardly bunched up and the layers were messed up. This was very apparent to me and clearly something had gone wrong. But the owner kept saying that it looked perfectly fine, and that the tailor just sewed up the slit just like I had asked. He flipped the dress inside out to take a look at the stitching on the inside of the dress and said it looks perfectly fine. It did not look perfectly fine at all. The owner kept asking me to let them know what was wrong and how I would like for them to fix it. He was offering another round of alterations which was a nice gesture, but since they couldn't see what was clearly wrong with the dress, I didn't feel comfortable trusting them with another round of alterations with my wedding dress. We ended up taking the dress to another alteration shop in Irvine right away, and that tailor knew immediately what was wrong. He immediately called out that the dress was way too tight at the hips and that the slit was stitched very weirdly. The original slit was in the front, but the tailor had pulled it all the way to the side and sewn it up on the side for some reason. This was why it was so tight around the hips and the layers had lost their shape. The second tailor had to completely undo the stitches from the first tailor, and unfortunately this left holes. They're not very noticeable from afar but still a permanent damage to my wedding dress nonetheless. They gave my fiancé his shoes free of charge which was a kind gesture but I'm still really upset about my dress and how the situation was handled. Don't get me wrong, their service for my fiance's suit was great. Mr. Jorge knew exactly what his size was and the tailor did a great job with hemming his tuxedo pants. Just a warning to take your dress to a dress tailor.

Charo is delightful, gracious and does incredible work BUT your alternations will never be ready…read morewhen she says they will. I've used Charo 7 or 8 times and it's so aggravating. You have to make multiple trips to get your alternated clothes. I've never once asked her to have anything ready by a specific date. I always ask her, When can you have this done? She gives me a date, I show up and it's never ready. This latest time will take be 3 trips because twice now she's not had my dress done when she said she would. Hopefully, I won't have to make a 4th. I think I need to find a new tailor, she's just too unreliable.
