I love, love, love the bread they use for their sandwiches! We usually get the giant size turkey sandwich and that can usually handle lunch for 3-4 people depending on how much they eat. But full disclosure my husband can eat the giant size by hims! Which is why he needs 3 days at the gym lately but Schlocky's is a healthy option for lunch or early dinner and the manager at the Sugar Land location is so nice! I usually order through a delivery service and have to call the store to ask them to remove mayo and use yellow mustard instead and he's always so nice & friendly otp! Highly recommend this location. This now my go to location for Schlotsky's. Too many times I've gone to other sites just to get a Cinnabon and skipped sandwiches due to appearance of the food. This restaurant is large and very clean with updated decor. The staff is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and know how to keep the line moving. Greeted by a guy coughing and hacking. Then get our Avacado turkey sandwiches and realized the Avacado was brown and old. Return the sandwiches to the counter to notify them that they were not satisfactory. Didn't apologize for their mishap. Offered to redo them at that point we were disgusted and left. I order from this location about once a week or every other week-either via Ubereats or in-person pick up. I am always happy with my order. It has been accurate, serviced nice a warm and chips taste fresh. The store location is always clean, today I actually saw a staff member mopping the floor and they did a really good job! On June 23, 2024 I pickup a friend from the hospital. Hungry we decided to go to Schlotzskys. We frequent the location on 15287 Southwest Freeway, store #1263. We love the "HOT" delicious sandwiches, salads and pizzas. We both ordered the medium Original meal deal. The sandwiches were "cold" the bread had no taste and no fresh smell to it, like stale day old bread. We ate the meat lettuce and with our chips without the bread. We were so disappointed. I didn't address it with the manager because we didn't have the time due to an appointment. This is the first time we didn't enjoy our meal there. And at $27.26 I will think twice before eating there anytime soon. read more

I'm happy to say that I've found a very clean, fresh, and delicious spot for not only sandwiches, but pizzas, flatbreads, wraps, salads, and Cinnabon delights! This location is bright and clean, in the First Colony Commons area right next to Home Depot. Ample parking space. Staff friendly and efficient, delivered our sandwiches to table in just minutes. There were Cinnabon items too so I had to top of the original sandwich (smoked ham, salami, melted cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, black olives, red onions, lettuce, tomato, mustard, on sourdough) with cinnamon sugar donut holes. I've been frequenting them REGULARLY during covid-19. They messed up my order, I called, spoke with the manager issue resolved. I was supposed to come back in, give my name, and get what I ordered. Well the cashier looks in "the book" didn't see my name FF the owner "Ms Lee OR Li" idk... Walks up to the employee asks what does she want (like I'm not standing right in front of her) and says "No, she should have come in 24 hours". So the employee begins with me "I'm sorry ma'am" Ok, no problem. But I specifically addressed this when I called in, and was told it would be no problem if I came Friday when I was back in the area and I was there on Friday. This was the first time I had to interact with Me Lee, they had a really nice lady as the manager, who recently left. I'm pretty sure this business will fail without a new manager, and rightfully so. Schlotzsky's is perhaps one of my most favorite deli sandwich restaurants. It's been around for a while, but one thing that sets them apart with their competition, aside from the funny name, is the buns used on their sandwiches. It's unlike anything you may have tasted before. One thing I would definitely recommend people to try is their Dark Rye Bun, it is used by default on their Reuben type sandwiches, but my wife and I enjoy the taste so much we choose it on any type of sandwich we order. It's too bad, they only come in small and medium. For the customers who gets a bag of potato chips (which is only sold in their restaurants) with their meal, try their Cracked Pepper flavor. It is very tasty and my wife (who has had Schlotzsky's before when she was in College, but never ordered chips with her meal) swears it is the best cracked pepper chips she has had. Not too soggy like the average ones found in the grocery stores and not as hard as some of the kettle cooked chips. Perhaps one disadvantage they have is that they are not cheap. In fact, they are one of the more expensive deli sandwich chains. That's probably the reason why the Jason's Deli across from this location is almost always packed, while this store comparatively have less patrons. After our last visit, I felt like I had to give this Schlotzsky's an updated review. There was an employee pulling items off the shelf and dusting. He then started dusting the hanging light fixtures. I can't count the number of eating establishments I've seen with dusty counters and such. Every time we've visited this Schlotzsky's we found it to be extremely clean. When we placed our order, the co-owner was ringing up our bill. I asked him how long he had owned this Schlotzsky's. Since 1993 was his replied. You can't run a business for 26 years and not do things right. Our food has always been good and fresh. The employees (especially the tall guy) are always friendly. They always get my order right and the food is always so fresh and hot. The bread is soft but with a slight resounding crunch! Customer service is out of this world whenever I come here! I truly appreciate the staff and the hard work they display to each customer that walks through the door. I come here often so they have seen me more than a few times and are always polite. My dining experience here is great, the restaurant is always clean and stocked with napkins juice/lemonade in the machines and it's always a plus that the restrooms are clean. read more

I've had better Schlotzsky's sandwiches at the newer location on University and 59 by Sprouts, cleaner inside there too. You'd think all Schlotzsky's are the same but this one is actually the nicest one I have ever been to. The owners really take price in service and cleanliness. The food is always done exactly as you order. They also have yummy chocolate cookies available. The tables are always clean. They have three apple computers (keyboards wrapped in saran wrap) for your use while you wait. The bathrooms are something I'd have in my own home! I felt compelled to write a review today because, as I grabbed my to-go order, I was walking to the car & in mid-parking lot, my to-go bag broke. Tomato basil soup & medium sandwich, along with the sides and accoutrements, all hit the concrete in spectacular fashion. I swung my car door open, threw my purse in, and turned back to see what was left of the wreckage; if anything could be salvaged...as I turned, I saw one of the employees racing out to meet me. "I saw what happened! Are you ok? We'll make you another order, don't worry!" Well, shoot?! How cool is that? Totally not their fault (gravity, am I right?!) but man they were ON IT to fix something that was really no one's fault. Lee Lo (location manager/owner) is extremely rude and should be removed if Schlotzsky's Deli values their reputation whatsoever. My girlfriend and I went there for lunch and they messed up my order. When I spoke with Lee to resolve the issue, she blamed me for ordering the wrong stuff and that she couldn't do anything about it because she would be losing $22. She finally agreed to make the pizza, but when she brought it out, she started yelling at us in the middle of the customer filled dining room! Such a terrible experience... We will not be going back to this location as long as Lee Lo is in charge and I would not recommend anyone else go either. We reported a complaint to Corporate and I hope they take the appropriate corrective actions. I'm the bf Alejandra G. is referring to in her post (below). We've always patronized this local business. We do not deviate from what we get. My wife gets a vegetarian sandwich with her usual rotation of the bread. I get a vegetarian pizza. We share these. Medium veggie combo on wheat Chips and drink $7.99 Fresh veggie pizza $5.89 ----------- $13.88 Tax $ 1.15 ----------- Total $15.03 Expensive? Maybe. Should I pay premium? We think so and here's why. We saw how much effort is put into making this one of the cleanest restaurants I have seen. Jenny Lee is the owner. Her staff take pride in how clean this place is. The bathrooms go so far as to have a little porcelain drip tray underneath the soap dispenser! Neatly printed and framed notices about dispensing the wrong tissues down the toilet hang from the wall. The counters at the cashiers and all up front are spic n' span. The bottles of Schlotzsky's trademark hot sauce are topped up, the yellow caps with any dried red sauce are cleaned. All condiments including the red pepper flakes at the front counter and next to the soda fountain are stacked neatly. One woman cleans every table and chair starting with the round iron base of the tables. She also cuts away the transparent plastic wrap on the 3 keyboards of the Macs. She then neatly wraps them again. Granted these duties are part of everyone's job there. But we believe they also take great pride in going above and beyond the call of duty.
