I wish I could give Soulville 100 stars! I hired them for my son's school gala, and Jay was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. I was pretty specific about what we were looking for and our budget, and Jay helped us determine what the best band size + configuration would be within our parameters. They were professional, incredibly entertaining, got everyone dancing, and even stayed to play one last encore song because all our guests wanted more. Hiring a band for my wedding was a big priority and a big line item (cost) within my budget. I admittedly wasn't the easiest client in the beginning as it was difficult for me to sign my first wedding contract. Glen and his team were patient and helpful from start to finish. They are so easy and delightful to work with! As my first wedding vendor, it helped set the tone for my 10 months of planning. THANK YOU! They provide you with a long list of songs for you to give them insight on what you like vs dislike, which was helpful. They were even open to us sharing a Spotify playlist to give them an idea of what we liked for the band vs DJ set. Soulville also learned 3 songs for us, for our first dances, and performed them excellently! I hired Soulville for my wedding cocktail hour and reception. For the cocktail hour I had a Keyboard + Sax, which really helped to set the ambiance and was appreciated by all guests (lots of complements). The guests were ushed from from part of my venue to the next in part by the fun sounds of the 10 piece band. (Note: I wanted a big band, but learned Soulville is very flexible on the size you can hire.) From start to finish, the only way to get our wedding to stop dancing, was when Soulville politely asked people to be seated for events like first dances and speeches. Based on experience, I recommend hiring them for more time than less - we extended them an hour because our guests were enjoying their energy so much! Following the band, their DJ set did not disappoint! The band was full of collective and individual personality, which is part of what makes them so great. They engaged the audience from stage and on the dance floor, which we all loved. Their range was incredible - pop, country, hip hop, classics... you name it they did it, which blew away our guests! They really read the room from start to finish. They had a HUGE impact on our event. The number of texts, calls and emails from our venue, guests and wedding spectators has been overwhelming, and for GREAT reason. We will definitely refer them again and again, and hire them for any of our future needs - big or small event. I could go on and on, with how blown away we were by this group! If we could give AEN 100 stars we would!!! My husband and I hired Soulville for our NYE 2022 wedding and they were the absolute BEST part of the entire night!! I saw them at another friend's wedding and was blown away, so I knew they were the ones we had to hire. Every guest (young and old!) was dancing nonstop from the moment the doors opened until the final song. The vocalists are another level, the musicians are sensational! The sound guy constantly adjusted the sound from his iPad and it was perfect. The band's rendition of "Shout" was one of the highlights of the night. Soulville also performed our bridal entrance song "Can't Help Falling in Love" and absolutely knocked it out of the park -- every guest was in tears because the moment was so beautiful. Many of our friends and family have commented afterwards saying that it felt as if we were at a concert and that our wedding was the best party they had ever attended. Soulville performed at our wedding this past weekend in Sun Valley, Idaho and I have one word: WOW! They were absolutely spectacular. Soulville put on an epic performance at our wedding. As a musician myself, I wanted to make sure that we had a band that was comprised of truly professional musicians. From start to finish, Soulville delivered an amazing show for us and all of our guests. One guest, who attends dozens of weddings each year, told us that they did the best hora he had ever heard. Guys, plain and simple, Soulville is the best wedding band in all of Los Angeles. I did an insane amount of research and met with multiple bands before making my decision. I'm a musician (on the side) so this was the most important part of the wedding for me. Not only can these guys play anything, but they also play so well, and with so much energy. Their stage presence is just as good as their musicianship. And the icing on the cake - they are less expensive than many of the high caliber bands in the area. If you care about having a live band, and you can afford it, you have to go with these guys. They will make your wedding into a party that people will be talking about for years after. I can't recommend AEN highly enough. Their band, Soulville did an incredible job at our wedding. The wedding music was the most important aspect of the party for me, and we required a band that could play a wide range of styles and genres, as my family is traditional Jewish and my wife's family is Chilean -- and Soulville delivered on every front. They were able to play a fantastic, authentic hora, as well as Latin pop, and of course top 40, funk, disco, and rock and roll. Glen, Ileana, and Jay were fantastic to work with, highly communicative, and sensitive to our specific needs. Glen made sure to get us a special vocalist who could sing the Hebrew/Jewish music authentically, and their Latin singers are actually Latin, and aren't faking their way through the Spanish lyrics. We did quite a lot of research on SoCal wedding bands, and you will by far get the most bang for your buck with Soulville (plus an hour of DJ provided by Jay, at the end of the night). read more
