**Subject: Inconsistent and Unfair Enforcement of Policies**…read more I want to express my frustration with the recent experience involving your worker (Bob or Rob) and your company's inconsistent application of policies. When Bob came to fix the window at my mom's apartment, he refused to reinstall the window AC unit, claiming it was against company policy. He even called Lori (or Lory) on speaker, and she confirmed this. However, upon visiting my mom's apartment, I discovered that Bob had installed AC units for two other apartments in the same complex. This raises concerns about whether your company's policies are applied selectively. When I called Lori to address this, she admitted that the worker had indeed installed AC units for other tenants but insisted that the policy was being enforced in my mom's case. If your policies can be applied or disregarded depending on the situation or the worker's preference, that's a serious problem, and in my opinion, it's a form of discrimination. Moreover, it wasn't documented that Bob had left an open part of the window unfixed, even though he mentioned he would return to resolve it. This lack of accountability is disappointing. I was told that my review might be disputed, but I believe the public deserves to know when policies are applied inconsistently and arbitrarily. This experience reflects poorly on your company's professionalism. Responding to Laurie First of all, you didn't even know where I live or ask where the installation was done. As I clearly mentioned, this was at my mom's apartment, so I would appreciate it if you read and respond more carefully next time. Secondly, you claimed that the policy prohibits the installation of window AC units, but the worker actually did install AC units for other apartments in the same complex. So, not only are you incorrect, but I have reason to believe you're deliberately being misleading. When I called and spoke to someone, who I believe was you (Lori or Lory), you confirmed that the worker installed AC units for other units but enforced the policy strictly in my mom's case. In my opinion, this is clear discrimination. Applying a policy selectively, based on who the customer is, is unprofessional and unacceptable. It seems like the policy is being used whenever it suits the worker or the company, which is both unfair and discriminatory. What's even more troubling is that you weren't even aware that the worker left part of the window open and claimed he would return to fix it. This lack of communication and documentation reflects poorly on your company.
