I've been using College Glass for years with good service, but this time was a joke. After sending two guys out to make a template of a table top for my patio, I call for weeks to get the quote, but "Debbie" never calls back. What kind of business invests in two guys for two hours, has the customer begging for a return call, and can't get to it? Avoid them at all cost!!! I didn't pick them my contractor did. (dream works remodeling ) They are more like "nightmare works" One frameless shower door replacement. 2 months without one bathroom. Three different measurements attempted. Each One week apart. Fist time glass seat side too big of a cut. 2nd time top of the seat too big of a cut. Top of all this Both times silicon and hinges they put leaks. Final time - shower hinges still leaks and this time they say the first time "framless shower doors are not water proof not even splash proof" you can't use handheld shower around them. Because when water hit the glass water connection water leaks!! They don't want that. So this compnay put shower doors decorate Bathroom. Not to stop water from shower!! Called back a week later and was told to speak with **PHIL**....he scheduled 2 appts to come by AND NO CALL / NO SHOW....never even called me back to let me know he wouldn't make it. I was just insulted and hung up on by the owner of College Glass after THEIR estimator missed their appointment with me two days in a row. His customer service is horrible and I would recommend you staying far away from this company for that reason alone. Businesses need to understand that they need to respect the customer and their time (after all, we're the one's paying them, right?). Basically, I had an appointment scheduled with an estimate yesterday for between 9-10am. I was given this appointment by Debbie who understood that I am a working professional and had another appointment at 11am that same day. Debbie was very nice and respected my time. The estimator did not, and did not show up by 10am. When I called to see where he was, I was told that he had stopped at a tire shop first and would be another 45 minutes. I expressed that I had set the particular time frame of between 9-10 am (upon which I had been assured) due to my schedule that day. I was now speaking with Bob (who was also very nice) and apologized and said he would send out a more "reliable" estimator the same time the next day. The following day, the estimator did not show up again and when I called and this time spoke with the owner (I don't know his name), and he told me that I had over-scheduled my day, and when I tried to explain to him that the customer's time is valuable and when they are assured twice that someone will be there that they should! He then told me that he didn't want to hear anymore about it and hung up on me! I mean ... really??? Someone needs to give this guy a lesson in customer service AND teach him how to shar that skill with his estimators who have appoitments to be at. read more

They sent out an estimator who measured and told me someone from the company would call me with an estimate in a few days. Didn't hear for a week so I called them. The person who answered was very apologetic and told me she would have someone call me back shortly. No call for another week so I called again and left a message. Still no call back after about two weeks so I called again and left a message. I know this took place around Christmas and New Years but my last call to them was after the new year! They came out within a couple days to measure a large broken window in my home but it took a whole week to get the job done. This company is a little slow when it comes to returning phone calls and messages. Overall the work was good and they cleaned up after themselves. I had called this company approximately two weeks ago when my patio glass door blew up and broken glass was everywhere! Patrice was very nice and sent a glass man out in two hours. He was nice and cleaned up the mess and even cleaned the glass when he finished putting in the new glass. He even cleaned the other glass next to the broken piece. Where do I begin. My contractor came up with a great idea, cut a hole in the kitchen wall up high and install a solar reflective window. Sounded great. He called College Glass and Mirror and got an estimated of around $1300. After all was done, it cost $1200 ish. **Price wasn't the problem, the service was, and it was bad! Their rep. came out, a nice guy named Jason. Jason measured accurately, but from the inside and didn't bother to tell anyone. So the window was delivered, in a reasonable time, but it was backwards! Here I set in a HOA with a hunk of plywood over the hole, for about 2 weeks plus. Thank God the HOA didn't fine me. The replacement window was to be delivered to their store on a Monday and installed a day or so later. I called on Friday before to check on the delivery, and guess what---Debbi went on vacation and wouldn't be back until the following Thursday----and she didn't leave any instruction to deliver my window! I talked with--I think the woman's name was Lupe. Lupe didn't know about my window and had to got to Debbi's desk to find the paperwork. Lupe got it done and my window was installed, by two nice guys, on Wednesday. Why will I NEVER recommended College Glass, because I asked repeatedly for estimates on, get this, 6 very large window, at my estimated cost of $12,000. Plus, I asked for estimates on 3 large bathroom mirrors. So were talking about $13,000 to College Glass! It's now way over a month, maybe 6 weeks plus, and still no estimate. Debbi, I believe is the owner, seems very nice, but not very interested in her business. How can a company turn down a cash buyer! Your guess is as good as mine.
