I had a fantastic experience with American Plumbing. From the very first call, Rich was incredibly helpful and professional in helping me set up my appointment. He was flexible with scheduling and made it clear that if I had an emergency, they'd do whatever it took to accommodate me. Luckily, my issue wasn't urgent, and they were able to find a convenient time window between 11am-1pm that worked perfectly for me. On the day of service, Matt arrived right at 11am on the dot--punctuality I really appreciated. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. He helped me reduce the water pressure in my home, installed a new sink water spout, and even took the time to inspect a few other plumbing concerns I had around the house. What really stood out was that he offered thoughtful advice--like pointing out that my garden hose setup wasn't ideal--even though it wasn't part of the job. And at no point did he try to upsell me on anything, which I truly appreciated. Both Rich and Matt clearly know what they're doing and were familiar with the plumbing quirks of my HOA complex, which made everything easier. Overall, just great people to work with--professional, honest, and experienced. My neighbor used their services to attempt to unclog a drain. Apparently they weren't successful and in the process of trying to unclog the pipe, they got raw sewage all over the side of my house. I found that this is how they left it when the second plumber arrived. I am very surprised that they would be so haphazard in their work and not clean up the mess they made or notify me. This is disgusting. I called them the day after this happened and they denied it, mentioned someone would call me back, and no one did. Absolutely Excellent! I was panicking late one night when I realized our Sump Pump was overflowing under our house, and going down our hill. At 7:30 AM, when they open for regular calls, I was on to them. A very sweet woman answered immediately, and understood that I sounded desperate. She very quickly got me a service call. The Plumber diagnosed the problem and explained it in full. I knew the Pump was quite old, and of course needed to be replaced. The exact pump we needed for our hill wasn't in stock. He called Elsinore!! They had it in stock and someone met him half way to get it to us! He immediately returned and installed, cleaned the area, took away all the debris. We could not use any water in our house with the broken pump, so this was a HUGE problem that American Plumbing resolved efficiently and way beyond the usual "service call". We appreciated their Professionalism in every aspect from start to finish. Thank You. They also have the capability to let us know in a year when it's time to have it cleaned and serviced! We couldn't be happier with our experience with Rich and American Plumbing. We've used them for smaller projects in the past, but this time they repaired/replaced our sewer line. They completed this large project from beginning to end in three days, including securing city permit/approval. Impressed with professionalism and quality of work. Unfortunately this "family" business is a total let down. Scheduled a free estimate back in June of 2019. Rich came out did an estimate of $220 plus $125 of labor and told me to give Erin a call when I am ready to book. OVER A YEAR later in November of 2020 I got a bill of a leak detection. I called immediately and Erin said she had the wrong email and apologized. Didn't know I would be charged for a free estimate, she said they performed a service of leak detection. No documentation was given to me stating that I was getting a service done and I only had Rich come out for a free estimate. She said she would speak to Rich about the confusion and get back to me. She never got back to me and sent our bill to COLLECTIONS! Rich never wanted to call me to clear up his mosunderstanding, Erin ignored my call backs multiple times. Go elsewhere for your plumbing services, this place is trash!! Filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau since their answer is to improperly bill clients years later. read more

American Plumbing came to the house after our electrician drilled into our drain pipe while installing recessed lighting in our house. The plumbers came in and quickly fixed the leak with a coupling. American Plumbing was absolutely terrific and I recommend them whole heartedly. I received a notification from Moulton Niguel Water District indicating I had a leak consuming a lot more water. Today, (the day before the 4th of July holiday), I called American Plumbing and within 45 minutes, Luis and Dean arrived. I had no idea where the leak could be so Luis started with the toilets. He immediately detected a leak in my guest bathroom. He replaced the parts and my problem was remedied, no more leak!! My water shut off valve in the garage was also not functioning. I highly recommend American Plumbing. All of the staff--everyone from the office staff to the field crew are very professional, responsive, nice and easy to work with. Pat came out first and installed a water pressure regulator (which, as it turns out, was a source of the problem) and he was very nice and efficient. We later discovered that the old regulator was still an issue, as it was somewhere on the property and not working (but causing an interruption in service) and impossible to locate. Rich came up with a solution that was logical and reasonable and completed in a timely fashion--I couldn't ask for better than that--quality, price and time--they checked all the boxes. We even had some creative digging to do and they had an amazing guy for that task as well. read more

A few years back, we were told by a "Mike Diamond" plumber that fixing the bathroom sink would cost "at least $850..." We called American Plumbing for a second opinion and were told that is was a pretty standard fix, and that the other plumber just needed to use a different tool, but was probably too lazy to do so... Called them on a Thursday. Have a leaky shower. Probably a valve. She asked for photos of the shower and promised a phone call the first thing the next morning. I complied immediately even though I was struck by them asking for photos instead of coming to the house, we are less then a mile from them. They sent a email late morning instead of calling like they promised. 5 days later no response to phone calls. I believe Caroline just doesn't care.
