I have been a loyal customer for over two years, having purchased a full set of four tires, a wheel alignment, and even opening a credit card through this business. Unfortunately, my recent experience has made it clear that customer loyalty is not a priority here. I visited the shop to have a flat tire repaired--a service that is supposed to be free of charge for customers who purchased their tires here. I dropped the tire off at 3:00 PM and was assisted by an employee who identified "cupping" on the tire. While he informed me they could not perform a rotation, he confirmed they would patch the flat and even provided a quote for rear shock replacements. I was explicitly told the tire would be ready before their 6:00 PM closing time. When I returned at 5:50 PM, I found my tire sitting in the exact same spot inside the shop where it was left in the first place nearly three hours prior. No work had been done, and no one had bothered to call me to explain the delay. It felt as though the staff simply didn't want to perform a complimentary service, despite my history of significant spending at this establishment. Telling a customer a service will be completed and then completely ignoring the task is unacceptable. I value my time, and it is clear that American Tire Depot does not. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. I was in a total panic after I accidentally damaged my tire valve while filling the air at my local gas station. My tire was losing air rapidly, and I was terrified of being stranded with a flat in the middle of the road. I called Jordan 45 minutes before they closed and told him about my problem. Come right in. After a short wait---they fixed it. The most amazing part of it? He didn't charge me. I didn't buy my tires from them. My car is new and they have factory tires. I had a flat tire while visiting Ramona. Went to a shop around there, but they couldn't seem to know what the issue was. Thought there was a nail in my tire, but they didn't seem to locate anything. Therefore, they put air in my tire and I made sure to drive carefully home. Now something was telling me, the problem isn't fixed. The tire was slowly deflating throughout the week. Finally, I decided to check out American Tire Depot. There was an hour wait due to the shortage of technicians. Service was amazing as Jordan explained to me the process. When service was completed, they did find a small nail in my tire. They had patched it up nicely and I don't have to worry about getting a new tire. This was all done at no cost. Honestly, this is the worst American tire depot I've been to. I come here often with all my work vehicles because it's close to my shop. The customer service sucks. They open at 8 which you would think means they start working on your vehicle at 8 but in reality, all the employees get here at 8 and don't work on the vehicle until 20-30 minutes after. I came here yesterday with a leaking tire that they didn't fix, just said I'm good and now I'm back here a day later wasting more of my time. I've been to several other American tire depots and never gave the issues I have here everytime I come. It always takes way longer to do things here and the amount of times I've had to come back a day later because an issue wasn't repaired correctly is insane, at least 4-5 times. This is my last time here, I'll be inconvenienced and go elsewhere just to avoid this place. read more

I went online a booked a time to get my oil changed. That is the only reason I rolled there because I made an assumption about service. I arrived 20 minutes early and told the guy I would be waiting. He told me, it would take an hour and he would call me. After a half hour after my appointment I could see from a neighboring shop that my car hadn't moved. I am not afraid of work and I do understand that places get busy. When I rolled back to ask about my car, is when I got a 100% slow walk. I went outside to watch and cars that arrived later than mine were pulled into the open bays. I asked how long an oil change would take and they said a half an hour. I could see the smirks as they cruised in and out of the shop. I thought this was attached to the American Tires on Signal Hill, so I was expected direct and real service. I told them, "I booked an appointment' and I was told that is not how it works there. I am pretty easy, they could have said, we will get it into the bay in 5 minutes are really anything, but I could see that I was the 'annoying' or 'entitled' guy. I just asked for my keys and left. This is small stuff but manage expectations. I am not saying I would never go there again, but I would show up early in the morning and lower my expectations. read more

Brought the car 8am Saturday first thing when they opened, waited & finally got an update at 0920 saying it was un-patchable & they can order the tire. Waited over an hour for nothing to happen. They ordered the tire (said it would be in Tuesday) & we said we would be there Tuesday 4p. They texted Tuesday am confirming tire was delivered & we called again confirming 4p. Here at 4p, waited & they barely took the car into the bay at 5:15. Didn't finish the car until 6:10, more than 2 hrs waiting. Originally said it would be done in 1-1.5 hrs. With so many five star reviews here, especially with one coming from our local CM, I thought for sure I would have had a new tire shop to go to, but unfortunately, it was not meant to be. I usually take my car to America's Tire for my tire needs, and one of my tires was in need of repair. The TPMS sensor came on one weekday, and I went to America's Tire after work to get the air pressure checked. I was told that my left rear tire was a little low on PSI and was also recommended to schedule an appointment if the sensor light came on again. It did a few days later, but by the time it came on again, the next time I could schedule an appointment was for Monday since America's Tire is not open on Sundays. While I was searching around for tire shops on Yelp on Sunday morning, I noticed that not only was American Tire Depot open each day of the week, but they also inspect and fix flat tires for free! It sounded too good to be true, but just like a scam, it was, though certainly not in the sense of a stolen identity. I was driving south on Lakewood Blvd and nearly turned into the rear of the shop until I saw it looked like an alleyway that led to somewhere else. So I U-turned and pulled into the lot in front. There was a car sitting by the curb next to the garages, and I really didn't know why that was there. I parked my car at a stall directly across from that car since I figured an employee would drive my car into the shop to further inspect the tires, as is usually the case with America's Tire. I went inside and was immediately greeted and helped by one of the employees. I told him what I was here for, and he immediately cautioned that if they were to patch up my tire, it would void the warranty since I had gotten the tires from somewhere else. He further elaborated on this, and I was convinced that it wasn't worth it to get the tire patched up here; I just had to let the tire further ruin my weekend plans. I was about to leave without having anything done until he offered to do an air pressure check, which I agreed to. He asked me to pull into one of the garages, and I was a little worried that the car sitting by the curb would get in my way while backing out. He immediately retorted back saying there was plenty enough space, calling me out like a dimwitted member of the peasantry. And it didn't end there. When I pulled in, I asked if I needed to stop the engine, and he simply said to park the car while walking away to get a technician to assist me. It didn't even answer the question! But after his flippant response just moments before, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. As I was listening to incredibly loud mariachi music, Raul came by to do the air pressure check on my tires, but asked which tire(s) I wanted him to check. I knew the left rear was bad, but wanted him to check on the right rear to see if that was bad as well. He did inflate the left rear tire so that the TPMS sensor came off, and he also confirmed that the right rear tire was not an issue at all. Raul demonstrated better customer service, but he was asking me if I'd like to have his team take a further look at my tires and remove a nail that could possibly be stuck on the rubber. I just had the discussion with the first employee that convinced me to wait it out another day, but we went back and forth that I think he was trying to get me to get it done now given how low my PSI was. Drawing a hypothetical hyperbolic graph in my head of Air Pressure vs. Miles Driven, I concluded that I should have enough to wait until my appointment the next day. While I'm glad I was able to get my tire inflated to the proper PSI, it was simply adding a bandaid, as opposed to a tire patch. I didn't get a good first impression of American Tire Depot, especially having felt so ridiculed as a customer of a competitor. The caution I was given about having your tires worked at a different place than where you got them further affirmed my learning a lesson to not do business with American Tire Depot anymore, so Henry, when you reply to this review, there's no need to mention the email address as it would do nothing but imply that my review was not read, at least in its entirety. First time to this location. We came in with an 11am appointment on, Sunday May 25th, 2025. Had a little bit of a wait but as busy as they were I wasn't stressing the wait time. AT always takes good care of me. Having a issue with my right passenger tire for the past several months, even after scheduled maintenance with Kia. My tire pressure was always dropping & I wasn't sure why. So our service tech/mechanic Coda (i hope i spelled her name right) took care of us. She did a free rotation and checked the tire for any abnormalities, holes etc and found nothing. Speaking to Coda,who was very educated and informative mentioned it could be the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). After we discussed with her what had been happening. Something we never considered but sounded to us that it could be very likely. Coda had a great personaility, she was communicative and explained everything in detail, which we appreciated. We will be discussing the possibility with Kia later this week. Thank you Coda for taking the time to explain things and educating us. American Tire has a great employee.
