I have been trying since January to get American Vision Windows to fix one of the windows they installed that has condensation on the inside. It has been back and forth phone calls and emails to them. The rep helping me, Terry, is very nice and told me it is plygem's responsibility to fix the window. I am disappointed Plygem will not replace the window or even repair it. The warranty is still in effect. I was going to order more windows from American Vision and this still hasn't motivated them to make good on my contract. I do not trust American Vision Window's warranty. I remember they tried to install 2 pane instead of 3 pane windows and now they will not repair one that has a broken seal. It's beyond frustrating to hear you have a warranty, pay more for it and then not get reasonable service!!! It is May5th and I have been trying since January to get a clear window. It's very noticeable that the window needs to be replaced in person. It's hard to get a good picture of it right now, but the company has 3 pictures taken at a different time of day where it is very visible. If you notice all of the 5 star reviews are from when customers first got their windows installed. Look at all of the 1 star reviews and you will see their customer service is terrible. I'm sorry I didn't just get a general contractor to I stall my windows. I had them install 16 custom windows and it was to make sure I was covered if anything went wrong with the windows that was not my fault. Very unfair to the customer!!! read more

I contacted American Vision Windows based on my brother's and a friend's recommendations. We needed 6 windows and 2 French doors replaced and one of them is custom made. They were very professional and helpful answering all questions we have about them. I met with Don on April 24, 2021 who explained to us the difference between the windows and doors and we ended up choosing Anlin. He explained the process and how long it will take to get them installed and informed us that it will take a little longer with our orders due to pandemic and that one of the French door is custom made. He answered all our questions including my Mom's questions professionally. On May 7th, Christian and Eddie came to do the final measurements of our windows and doors since Don only did a rough measurement. Both of them were very professional and very precise on doing the measurements. Christian is very knowledgeable and answered all questions we have professionally. Due to a glitch on their appointment scheduling, we got scheduled on July 8th supposedly for installation but apparently it was for sales and Don showed up and we were both confused as to why I got scheduled for sales instead of installation appointment. However, he fixed the problem by calling their office and scheduling my installation on their 1st availability. On July 24th, a crew of 5 people came around 8:30 am to install all our windows and doors and they finished their job before the quoted time of 3 pm. Gabriel, Jose Serrano, Martin, Emmanuel and Carlos Llamas were all professionals and answered all of our questions and worked with my request on which room to start first. They covered all the appliances that are close to the work area and moved items that are in their way. They cleaned up once they were done and even included the broken bed frame and headboard that we had when they hauled the old windows and doors. They went above and beyond their job and I am very happy with the job that they did and explained how the windows and doors work. All our windows are American Vision windows. We had a good experience, so when American Vision offered solar with a warranty, it was an easy decision. But an error occurred on the transformer. It is a simple problem, but we have been unable to get anyone at American Vision to honor their warranty. We have made numerous calls and we are now paying Edison for our electricity. We need some help from American Vision. You are good people, so please honor the warranty. We have called American Vision on 2/22/19, 2/25/19, 3/1/19, 3/5/19, and 3/6/19. They have said that they don't do solar anymore, but promised to honor the warranty. Still waiting and paying. The 10 year warranty started on 4/19/10. read more

We have been years in the planning for the project that would see new windows in my wife's study and three full sliding doors in our family room. We saved our $$$, and checked on competitors' products and services. Finally we visited an American Vision Window showroom for side-by-side comparison of the various windows. The decision was made and our order was placed. This is part where waiting comes into play. AVW called and emailed us information and updates. Video from the company's Owners was embedded into emails and was a very personal touch. Finally, the day came for the installation and right on cue my doorbell rand at the exact time that we had arranged and 3 AVW trucks and 6 workers were at my door. All of the workers politely introduced themselves and began the process of lying down paper and plastic to protect my interior floors and outdoor plants. I quickly learned each worker's name as they very efficiently went about their work. It was like an orchestra of efficiency, each man with a job of his own and ready to help one of the team when necessary. The 8 hour time that I had planned for the install actually only took 4 hours. We just got our new windows installed and couldn't be happier. The whole process was completely painless. After calling American Vision Windows, Gina came by, and also happened to be a neighbor and presented us with options. Gina educated us on what windows we should consider based on our needs, which were basically keeping the house as cool as possible. After deciding on which windows we wanted, Gina quickly scheduled Todd to come come out and measure. I wasn't home when Todd came by, but he called me right after and said the order had been placed and that we were good to go, and was really polite explaining some things about the patio door. Initially I was told it would take 14-16 weeks to receive the windows from manufacturer, but they came in about 8 weeks early, which was great. Come install day, Roberto, Ian, and Jose S. Showed up right on time and got straight to work. They made sure to cover everyting in plastic and were extremely respectful to our home. My wife had only gone to sleep about two hours before they arrived and was not feeling great, but every time they went in and out of the bedroom they were very polite to close the door behind them. They even did the master bedroom window first so they could be done making noise in there so she could go back to sleep. Ian had saw we had a cat in our bedroom and he came and got me to make sure it was ok for her to be in there while the window was out, which I thought was super cool, well, because I love that freaking cat. American vision windows did an amazing job on my first home with replacement windows many years ago! I referred them on several occasions to other friends over the years and always rave reviews! I bought a home 5 years ago that had replacement vinyl windows that were of extremely poor quality. Hardware was breaking off and the weather proofing sealant was falling apart. I called American Vision Windows. They came out in a day to give me an estimate to replace My windows. I knew I wanted to tear out the crap the previous owners had wasted money on leaving me with a replacement mess. I got Anlin windows, Low E gas filled best windows they have in the replacement vinyl window category. Signed a contract and several weeks later they were ready to install. Jeremy and his crew arrived on time to my home and introduced themselves to me. They went immediately to work putting very high quality protective floor coverings over my hardwood floors and carpet. They did a walk through of the home inside and out, and went to work. These guys were clean, efficient, professional and left no mess. They used the highest grade silicone caulking sealant available (I checked all product used!) With a very heavy bead inside backing of the window trim which was non existent on the previous windows, and did a very clean exterior trim bead around the perimeter as well of every window top, side and bottom. They foam sealed the gap between the original window box frame and the new ly installed window frame for maximum weather Proofing which also was non existent in whoever did the previous install! The crew then did a very clean install of the vinyl finish trim in the interior followed by a clean bead of silicon caulking as well. This was a first class install by a crew that obviously knew what to do, and most importantly cared about the quality of there work! Jeremy the lead installer was on top of the entire install and personally checked every Step of install on every window of his crews work. I cannot emphasize enough that you get what you pay for. If you want not just the highest quality windows available then there are a very few good companies to choose from, but that is only half of the story when making such an important investment in your home. I would argue that the second part which is as important as the window choice made is the quality of products used in the install, and the training of the crew that does the install and lastly the experience of the crews used along with a lead installer that watches over the entire job from the moment they knock on your door to begin the work! Thank you to the team and to an amazing company that really cares from the top down and from the bottom up! I hope this helps anyone even considering having windows done or redone as I have. I had a great experience with AVW. It took about 12 weeks from order to install. Luis and Franco did my garden window. Super lovely people and very communicative. Javier, Macho,Ian, Raul, Emanuel and Elnidio did the rest and knocked it out in about 7 hours including lunch. I peppered Raul with all sorts of questions and he took it like a champ. They laid down flooring and furniture protection and cleaned up when they left. All-in-all a great experience. The only thing I wish I would have known going into it was that the foot print of the windows is slightly deeper than my other windows so now my blinds won't fit as nicely. I would never recommend this company! I scheduled a quote and a gu named "Geo" showed up. I am a youger female and when i opened the door and he saw it was just me, he immediatley didnt want to be there let alone give me any information. He was upset that i didnt tell him i had gotten previous quotes, said i wasnt upfront woth him. He was trying to price match and all i wanted was what he could come in at. He was upset that i didnt already know the type, shape, color etc of the windows i wanted. He didnt want to expalin to me what each type was. Im not the expert. He asked me if i knew anything about windows. I told him no. He asked me again and again i said no (kinda snarky but at this point i was just trying to keep my cool). My wife and I decided to replace all the windows in our two storytown house, we called American Vision because several home owners in the HOA had already used their service and they came highly recommended. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The initial sale and demo was done by Armen who was amazing, extremely detail oriented, did not try to upsell unneeded products or service, was very informative, explained the entire process, and demonstrated the windows we would be purchasing with actual samples. Armen has had experience working with our HOA, provided the estimate and official project plans the next day so we could get the work approved immediately. Installation was scheduled a month and a half later because we had some custom window sizes which needed to be ordered and made but the entire process was very professional, easy, so easy that I was actually surprised how smooth everything went. Any time I've ever done remodeling and construction its always been a hassle, a mess, expensive and once I was done I'd always say never again. This is a very dishonest company. We have all heard the time worn story about the couple who was taken advantage of by a window contractor so they started their own company to make it better for everybody. I started having problems with my 6 year old sliding door. It was not closing right and was hard to roll. I called American Vision. Made an appointment. The salesman shows up, looks at the door and says, "This company is out of business, no one can get parts for this door. We see this a lot". But, lucky me, new doors are on sale today. It will be close to $4000.00 to replace it, special this and that. We just replaced the 50-year-old windows and large sliding patio door in our 2-story townhouse. After meeting with several suppliers, we selected American Vision and could not be happier. I have left messages for two weeks and because I escolated my call to Simi Valley, Jeff, the manager from the Santa Clara store called to say all employees are working from home because of the virus. That is why I have't heard from anyone? Lame excuse for two weeks in my opinion! Don't you think out of two weeks someone could have called me by now? I explain why I needed to order a new screen and he started arguing with me about the issue being a manufactors problem. I dont care what the issue is I just want to order a new screen. After they took an 85% deposit, they never ordered my windows and tried to not refund my money while also delaying my project 6 months. Luckily, Amex handled it and I got my money back. Do not use Elegant Windows and Doors. They are dirty conmen and I'll probably report them to the state board. American Vision Windows stepped in and delivered. They gave close time estimates on production start to product install. They showed up with roughly 7 guys and knocked out two sliding doors, two large fixed windows, two sliding windows and smaller laundry room window in one day! I didn't think they could do it but they did. Eddie, Carlos, Aaron, Jeremy, Chops, and Alan (sorry if I forgot someone) took great care to practice social distancing and gave me and my family plenty of space to work while they worked around us while they did the install.
