It's like a Thumbtack or Angi for landscapers to get business. My rate was $30 for a basic mow & they worked on my yard for a few months from May-Nov 2024. Not wholly happy as I had contracted for every 2 weeks & between the first now & the second was only about a week. When I questioned the owner, Chance he replied that he had done the initial service out of his route for Plano & needed to do it again so soon because that was "his" regular Plano day. I told him that wasn't acceptable & that the agreed service schedule was supposed to be every 2 weeks & that he wasn't free to change it anytime he felt like it. They would come on different days & were supposed to text me when on the way so that I could secure my dog. A couple of times they left the gate open & it was a miracle that she didn't get out. Fast forward to 2025. I put in to have services start on May 14th. They still haven't shown up at my house & keep postponing my services. Now my grass is tall enough that I got a notice from the city. Wednesday I texted Chance as I was inquiring when they would be coming & let him know that I really needed it done & that the city was getting testy. He apologized for the delay & said they wouldn't be in my area until Thursday to get my yard mowed. At 3:15pm on Thursday I texted him again & stated the lateness of the hour & asked when they would be coming. I got a sarcastic text back saying that he knew "what time it was". I texted back & asked when they would be coming. No show AGAIN & no response. My rate for 2024 was $30 per mow & when I agreed to services for 2025 that is the rate I was given again & what showed in the system. When Chance replied to my text on Wednesday he told me that he had raised his price by $10 a mow & that if my rate was $35 it would now be $45. At the most it should have been $40. I really needed to get it done as the city is breathing down my neck so I was just going to let him do it the first time & find another landscaper. He went into the system that night & changed the rate to $45 which was a 50% INCREASE! When he agreed to provide services starting on May 14th it was $30 & it showed in the system at that rate for 2 weeks. Texted again today & asked when they would be coming & again NO RESPONSE. I have FIRED them in the system & have hired someone else. Now because he has delayed me over 2 weeks my grass is tall & I am going to have to pay an extra charge for the taller grass. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They are unreliable unethical & unprofessional.

Called two weeks ago to inform them that my entire was not being mowed and that I had grass down the center that was at least 3 to 4 inches taller. Gave them two weeks to correct, still not correct- it's now worse, I have strips of tall green grass and burned grass to the soil. Was promised crew would be out on Friday or Saturday to fix. Waited until late Saturday and was then told they were waiting on the crew manager to reach back out to them and they would try for Monday. I asked to speak to a manager and was told the new management team no longer does this. To add insult to injury, they mowed off a sprinkler head in an area they mowed too low. After I shared I recently paid over $400 to have my whole system checked and repaired, they came out within a few days to fix the broken head. When I called Chorbie Weed Treatment, they actually made an effort to keep my business as they now serve as two separate entities. I hired another company to come out and mow properly. Yard looks great again. It's just hard to believe they just let a loyal customer go that fast.

I found this company here on Yelp, called and spoke with John--who I believe is the owner. They were doing work in the area so were able to arrive for service the same day. The workers were TOP NOTCH: kind, hard working, attention to detail and professional. These guys make this company worth working with. They came in, got set up, completed the job quickly and cleaned everything up nice before leaving. They were great! Tip them after, they deserve it! I hired Arboriculture Services to trim my beautiful tree in my front yard. They sent me a picture…read moreof where the tree was split and needed to be removed. It went from $500 trim to $1700 to cut tree down and remove the stump. He said he could not remove the stump that day but would come back. After several days of not hearing from him, I texted him and told him the stump needed to be removed and to not grind it down. I told him I need to put a tree back in that spot because HOA requires it. He said just put the tree somewhere else which I do not want to do since I had a beautiful stone wall built around the tree and flower beds. First, it would look ridiculous and second, my yard is too small to put the tree somewhere else outside of the flower beds He was worried about breaking the wall. I told him to try not to but if I had to get repaired I would. After not hearing from him again, my son-in-law called him. He called me after that very rude and said he didn't appreciate some man calling him. I asked for a refund of the stump removal cost several times since and he will not return my call or respond to my texts or phone calls. I would never recommend this man or company to anyone!!!

I don't trust a lot of companies, we interviewed 3 other landscaping companies/people before we decided to go with HQLS. Their work was done well, done fast, they were honest and they were fair. And they got rid of my horrific Jasmine Ivy. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone looking for landscape redesign.
