0/10 experience. Easily the worst America's Best Wings I've ever been to. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak combo with shrimp, plus 5 wings and fries. The cheesesteak was embarrassingly bad. There was barely any steak at all, which is insane for a sandwich called a steak & cheese. The shrimp upcharge was even worse: tiny, low-quality pieces that added absolutely nothing. The fries were also completely different from the usual America's Best fries and were mostly batter with barely any potato. The wings were noticeably smaller than normal too. Overall, everything about this order screamed cheap ingredients and corner-cutting. Usually when i got to basic takeout spot, I don't expect much. But this was so visibly bad that I actually brought the food back and got my money refunded. Avoid this location. read more

This is my local America's Best Wings, and I can always depend on them for a quick meal. They have an assortment of selections from wings with a bunch of different flavors & spice levels to satisfy your pallet, and seafood. My go to meal is usually a fish sub with Western fries(potato wedges) with Mumbo Sauce, and a half and half, and I'm usually never disappointed. If I could ding them for anything, I would say, sometimes the food is greasier than I'd like, and the customer service is not always the greatest, not that anyone is rude, because they're not, but you almost sometimes have to fish for a greeting upon entering. I usually go to the America's Best Wings in DC, and they have the Maryland stores beat with the Mumbo Sauce, but again, I'm just being picky. This place is a cool little carryout when you're in the mood for some delicious wings and fries. read more

So for starters I got boneless wings (Thai Chili) and Hushpuppies. First off i wanna say that the chinese or asian lady that was in there was on her phone when i was placing my order which is totally rude knowing you're not on break and you have customers in front of you but they mixed my Thai chili wings with hot sauce so it was even more hotter than it was supposed to be. Secondly I found a NAIL a HUMAN OR CHICKEN NAIL in my food and they kept trying to basically put the blame on me which is crazy because if that was my nail why would i be in here? I was eating my boneless wings and tasted something very strange so i took it out and low and behold a NAIL. Wings=no season and terrible I won't promote the best wing spot in the dmv but I will say it's next door to first watch in bowie lol... I love ABW but I absolutely will never go to this location again. Priced too high, doesn't match online prices and the food (wings and rice) had no flavor. I had fries initially and it didnt look like the other ABW fries and then it tasted like grease. That should've been my first sign. It taste like I was literally eating grease and the chicken was fried too hard. Don't expect to get the same food that you would get from other ABWs. I would give it 0 stars if I could. I'm mad because I even drove here in the snow because I had been craving ABWs and was too lazy to cook. Next time I'll just starve or go to bed hungry. This was my first and last time trying this place. I ordered online, and once I got there I didn't know which counter to stand at. The cashier was in there with a bonnet on and having a full conversation on her cell phone while attempting to help the customer in front of her. The wings weren't even great. When this location first opened up they were great. Great food, great service. Now, they are the worst! The cashiers are rude, no customer service whatsoever. I haven't been there in about 2 years. I went to the hood to get wings and failed! ! How is that even possible? I mean the hood is supposed to have great wings and the latest shoes. That's all you can usually find there. And how did I know I was in the hood? All it had was shoe stores, check cashing spots, prepaid phone spots, wing spot, and no bank in sight. Not to mention the not one but two DC dept of housing rodent control trucks. So far DC has disappointed me with wing spots, but I saw the few reviews for here and got hope. So I drive there, and it was easy to find as it is located in Hechinger Mall. They have a parking lot so no worries finding a spot or paying to park. The staff was friendly and the place looked clean. There is not seating inside so everything has to be to-go. The have a clear vibrant menu above as well as flyers with the menu although prices have gone up so the take home flyers aren't accurate anymore. To the food. I spent $11.84 and the best thing I got was the coke. 10 piece wing combo $10.49, extra lemon pepper $0.50, blue cheese $0.25, plastic bag $0.05, tax $1.05. The coke was fine. The blue cheese was hot, I mean think salad dressing or mayonnaise sitting on a hot picnic table in July at a cookout and how awful that would taste. The fries were terrible. They were potato wedges, but were like the kind you get for $1 from the frozen section of dollar tree. It was like someone baked them for 3 mins, then injected each wedge with 1/2 teaspoon of oil. I rarely share food or throw it away. I mean if I eat 70% of a meal and get full, I stuff the other 30% because it's my food, I paid for it with my money, and it shouldn't get wasted. I actually threw these fries away after eating like 5 wedges. I just couldn't do it. As for the wings, oil bath. You know it's bad when your styrofoam box has 1/8 inch layer of grease covering the bottom. Which thus negated the extra lemon pepper because it pretty much just rinse it right off and had all of it trapped in the corner under the grease. Frying chicken 101 says pull the basket out the grease but let it sit for 30 seconds or a minute or so and let all the excess oil drain before seasoning or tossing in sauce. This is an epic fail mistake common at many DC spots. You aint gotta rush slim, let that grease drain off shawty. I should have known better, a wing spot that also sells chicken tenders, whole wings, philly cheese steak, burgers, deli subs, fish, shrimp, and salads, would not have good wings. This place has breakfast stickers plastered all over the window. My coworker and I decided to stop here around 11 to get some breakfast after having been at work for 5 hours. We walked inside and this place is gross. It took a while for the girls behind the counter to even acknowledge us and it's not a big place. My coworker asked them if they were still serving breakfast just to make sure. The girl behind responds with "Nah," and immediately turns back to her friend behind the counter and starts talking. I told my sister do not order from here 12/26/2017 and she did anyway. Now she sees why. My sister came by my house and wanted to order food for her family to pick up on their way home. I live a few blocks from this location. I told her to go the Benco location instead. She didn't. She ordered o line from this one. She ordered at about 7:45pm to have it picked up by 8:30pm. She only had cash and since she ordered online it had to be paid for upfront so I paid it and she gave me the cash. She leaves at 8:20. A few minutes later she called me and said the place was closed. I told her to confirm the store address. She did. I then told her to call whatever number is on the confirmation of the order and call me back. I called the listed number for this location and it was disconnected. I called her back a few minutes later. She said she found her food. It was at this location however the worker had the lights off and turned them back off when she left while the store was still open. That's clearly someokme trying to avoid working. That's bad for business. They already don't know how to season food here now they playing "closed." I plan to find out who the owner is and speak with them because this is unfortunate that this has happened. This location has been going downhill for about a year now. I hate that I can't even go to MY ABW because workers don't want to work and cooks don't want to cook. read more

This hole-in-the-wall has seafood, salads, and other items on the menu. I enjoy the grilled shrimp and their salads with salmon or shrimp. I splurge on the mixed lemonade/tea, it's pretty tasty. Make sure you retrieve your sauces before you leave because they do not pack it for you. read more

We ordered 20 wings but when we got home we saw we only got 16. We ordered 2 bleu cheese dressing and only got 1. Wings are decent (how can you really screw up fried chicken??) but dishonesty will no longer see my money. Regardless of the other bad comments on this page my visit was a good and my order was just right. I order cheese sticks and chocolate cake. It taste like natural chocolate and the icing was sweet and tasty that melts in you mouth. The cheese stick was served at the right temperature. Good food for a 2 item small order. read more

This is the worst location of all time. They DO NOT have fries, and force you to have potato wedges, which are cold, and seem to have been made by cutting a russet potato in half, battering it and frying it. Horrible customer service, and the store is dirty. To top it off, it tastes as if the wings were fried several days before serving, but heated up and doused with sauce and seasoning. I gave this place two chances. Both times I have been I was very disappointed by both the food and unacceptable service. The first visit I ordered the cheese steak and fries combo. My cheese steak order was taken completely wrong. A young woman was taking my order with apple headphones in her ear so maybe that is why she could not hear my order, I'm not sure, but everything that I didn't want on my cheese steak was put on it, including A LOT of mayo. Mind you everything that I actually wanted added to my cheese steak wasn't there. I was so disgusted I got home and by the time I took two bites I threw it in the trash complete waste of money. Not to mention the potato wedges were cooked terribly. I have a feeling there were cooked in old grease resulting in them not tasting anything like a potato. Back to the service, during my first visit there were two young black ladies there. One short and light-skinned, the other tall and dark-skinned. OMG the tall dark-skinned one was arguing with an older woman about the order not being right, how are you going to argue with a customer? Let alone loudly? It was a complete embarrassment for this establishment. This one in particular had a really bad attitude during both of my visits there, so unacceptable, you could tell she really hated her job and dreaded being there. This is not any of your customers problem nor business, no one forced you to apply to that job and accept the offer, you chose to do that. So do not get nasty with people that are coming to your place of business spending money and hoping for satisfactory service. My second visit I ordered hot and lemon pepper wings, I will pass on them, like I said I feel like their food is cooked in very old grease.
