While having my car serviced at a Toyota Dealership, I asked them to repair a tire that had a small screw lodged in it that was causing the tire to slowly lose air. The Toyota Dealership said because of the screw location, they could not repair it. They could order a new tire and have it there within a few days. I wanted the tire repaired the same day, so I drove to America's Tire. Within 45 minutes of checking in, I was driving away with a repaired tire and there was no charge! I am so used to being squeezed in these situations when I need a fast repair, it amazes me when I win one. I will not forget this act of kindness when I need new tires. When I first ordered my tires. People said they can get it done and I was going on what people said about this place being a same day type thing. But I was wrong and shortly realized why, they called me 5 days after ordering my tires and told me to come on by to get them so I made an appointment to get them done. When I first got there they told me it would take an hour max. .. So I waited for them come to find out 1 hour and 20 minutes in that they can't find the last tire. The manger said in his own words that it grow a pair of legs and walked out. So I left that day with 3 new tires and 1 used. Then I continued waiting 2 more days on my last tire. They didn't even call me this time I had to call them. And they said come on by and you will be first priority so I made in appointment. Stay away I got a flat 10min repair. I get in the guy is interested in the make and model of my car more then the problem He had me take the tire out of the trunk looked at it (15 min by now) Then expect me to wait for 2 hours As soon as I say hi I told him that all I need was flat repair he did have a chance to tell at that point that it will take 2 hrs but this is a strategy ( if your sucker enough to answer all the questions and wait 2 hrs you can get ripped off to) I'm telling you guys check prices b4 you go their Their smiles are expensive read more

A little bit of a debacle but they definitely took care of me. I came in with a spare on my Honda Pilot, I was told they could get my tires the next day but when I showed up the following day expecting them to be replaced I was told the tires actually weren't there. They ended up "loaning" me a tire until my tires come in on Tuesday and Wednesday. Great customer service especially when they made a mistake. read more

I have no idea why my dad keeps buying my tires from here. Okay, let me start off with my most recent experience with them, WHICH WAS SURPRISINGLY A GOOD ONE. I came to get my tires rotated and balanced, they did it. The guy also told me I had a nail in my front left tire, which they repaired for free. OK OK, you got me. Another plus was that it took about 15 minutes tops. This experience got yall three stars. Now let me tell you about the other two times I came here. Both times, prior to this haltingly good experience... MAN! I hated them. I came in to get my tires rotated and balanced. Both times, they told me I had to get brand spankin' new tires, despiiiiiite just getting new tires about 6-8 months prior. ARE YOU KIDDIN ME?! You guys say you sell quality tires. If that were true, shouldn't they last at leeeast one year? Both times, the guy denied me service unless I bought new tires. The second time of being denied service, the guy (claimed to be the ASSistant manager) said I needed an alignment as well. Okay, I took his word for it. Went to a different company in San Jose, and the guy at the alignment place said the ASSistant manager was lying out of his butt about this alignment situation. Long story short, America's Tires won that round- I bought new tires. They got their way. They did the service after getting more money from me. I actually dealt with another gentleman, who was very 100% honest with me about some things, so for that, another star tacked on. I wish I got his name so I could brag about his honesty. Next time I go, I'll look for his nametag and update my review. I was verrrry hesitant on coming back simply because of those two encounters in the past. I started going to America's Tire Co. when I was a broke college student, and fell in love. They never charge to fix a tire, and have tires for every budget. I've been to 4 or 5 different locations, always with phenomenal service, and Gilroy is no exception. I'm pretty convinced management must treat all employees with great respect, or they are slipping Prozac in everyone's coffee, because everyone that works there is always in a great mood and is incredibly nice. I walked in on a busy Saturday morning and they fixed one flat, and replaced another within 1 hour. I had to come here twice in one month due to my amazing ability of attracting nails to my car tires. The first time I set up an appt to go after work. Luckily, I noticed the nail the night before and had a friend replace the tire with a spare. I was greeted upon arrival and courteously assisted by the gentleman in the lobby. They were really helpful and informed me that they would most likely be able to patch up my tire, if not they would let me know. I waited about 30-45 minutes both times (which wasn't too bad, there were a few other customers waiting for their vehicles as well). They told me that they were able to patch it up and I was ready to go. They also checked the tire pressure on all tires. They did this all for no cost at all. 3 stars is a medium. They put new tires on my car but the tires were dirty. I then realized none of the other cars had clean tires either. It may seem silly, but when you spend several hundred dollars on new tires, if they are at least clean and shiny, it doesn't hurt so much when spending the money. I take it back. 2 stars. OK - I originally gave them a 2 star review because they estimated that it would take 1:15 to get to fixing my flat and I sat there for exactly twice that long - two and half hours! After two hours of calmly waiting, I started getting ticked off and wrote the bad review. Had they been more accurate with their estimate and not taken car-after-car ahead of me (probably reservations - but still, I bet people made reservations AFTER I got there and still got in ahead of me) then I would have simply come back another day, but instead, I spent half my day sitting there. But the truth is, they are a good team and I have received good service there multiple times. I can't blame them for being busy - just for wasting my time with a wildly inaccurate estimate. If my next visit is less frustrating, I will bump them up a star (to 4). If they would install some wi-fi so I could at least get some work done while I sit there, I will also bump them up a star. read more

Great Team members! I had a flat tire this morning and swung by. Jimmy helped me out - he checked out my tires and one of them was damaged from driving on it with low low low air pressure. Oh Snap! I did not realized it was that low. : o He was very helpful and explained the damage. I got two tires since I was not ready to get all four replaced just yet. I'm so happy I took care of this just in time before something bad happened on the freeway since I commute a good distance everyday. Right besides the outlets, can shop while waiting for the tires being serviced!! The timing is pretty good, better than going to anywhere else, where the wait might be longer, Gilroy is mostly people shopping at outlets..not servicing their tires..right? If I need service again, Gilroy would be the choice! Since I went to another location earlier at 10am in Santa Clara, the wait was to be 4 hours.
