My first experience with this place is not great. In fact it's terrible. The salesman talked me into buying a set (x4) of Falcon Sincera tires for my Prius less than a year ago and I've had nothing but trouble ever since. Specifically, I have had five flat tires in less than a year and now, on my 5th flat tire they said they couldn't fix it because both front tires were "falling apart." Mind you, there was less than 20,000 miles on these tires! When I told them I purchased the tires at this store, they then reminded me that because I missed my 5000 mile tire rotation, the warranty was void and I had to pay for two brand-new tires in order to get out of that place. I'm almost 60 years old and I have been buying tires for many many years and I've never in my entire life had a set of tires last less than 20,000 miles. What a ripoff. I look those tires up online and there are tons of complaints and even some recalls regarding that brand, so beware! read more

Really nice, clean store with friendly staff. I came by because one of my back tires was getting a low air alarm. I usually defer to my husband for car repairs, but he was at work so my one year old and I went in to see what we could do. Shawn was very friendly and helpful, suggesting I get the back two tires replaced because they were very worn down and explaining the benefits of getting them replaced. After years of being an Americas tire co.customer , I feel a positive review is due. First and foremost, their customer service never ceases to fail me. Always greeted professionally when entering the store. The service center doesn't pressure you into extras that you don't feel are necessary. Just decent tires at a,in my opinion, great price. My last tire rotation was completed in under one hour , and that was while showing up without calling ahead and making and appointment.A final note, I had a nail in one of my cars, with tires that were not purchased at Americas tire and they repaired this without charging me. I lost 2 valve caps after having my tires (bought here) rotated. Not such a big deal, but being metal caps for a Lexus they weren't that cheap to replace. Then after another rotation I checked the caps and 3 were just barely screwed on and would have surely fallen off in a few days. It makes me worry about the lug nuts too. Let me begin by saying that I only write reviews on yelp when I find an establishment that really stands out: either in a good way or bad. This case is definitely for the good! Bottom Line: If you don't feel like reading the whole thing, I was sold 4 new (value brand) tires for $140.00 because they charged me 41 cents for labor during a time of need. I have never waited more than 45 minutes for a servicing (by walk in) and the representatives are always helpful and friendly. This establishment has been good to me for years and they give back to their community when in need. I recommend this place to all of my family and friends. I have been a customer at America's tire for over 5 years through 3 cars and my last dealing with them forced me to write this review. It happened on November 11th 2016. I waited until now (4 months later) to make sure that I would have no immediate problems with the items I purchased. So, I was leaving work in Morgan Hill around 4 o'clock and accidentally side swiped a curb which popped my tire. The tires were old and bald so I was aware that they needed to be replaced ASAP but, I'm a full time nursing student ( very busy and broke) so I had been putting it off. I called my boyfriend and he agreed to come from prunedale (40 minutes away) to bring some tools and help put the spare on. In the mean time I called America's Tire to find out how long I had to get there. The man politely answered and I told him my situation. He expressed concern for my situation and told me they were closing around 8ish (I don't remember exactly. Just know I had a couple hours to get there) and to come in and he would help me. I told him I would try my best to make it in by then. My boyfriend and I made it in aound 7: 00pm and was immediately greeted by a representative ( I won't say who, just in case this will get anyone in trouble). I told him my situation and he told me that he was the one I had talked to on the phone. He took me out to my car and checked all 4 of my tires. Then, he took me in to the chart inside and showed me that all of my tires were dangerous to be driving on, especially with winter coming up (again, I knew this. Just didn't have the money to do anything about it). I told him he was welcome to quote me a price on all 4 tires but, I only had 100 and something dollars to my name so I was doubtful that it would do any good. Then, he went to the computer and started crunching some numbers. After a couple minutes, he said, "would you be able to do $140.00." I asked, "for all four tires?" "yes," he replied. What!? I said "yes I could certainly do that" (which meant I would have no money for gas or food for a week btw but i would figure that out later). I looked at my boyfriend and felt like I was getting scammed. I asked how he was able to do that and he just responded that on the phone I sounded distraught and worried so he wanted to help and was taking it in grace that I would come back and buy my next set of tires from them and refer my friends and family. I decided that any newer tires would be safer than what I'm driving on now and so it was settled. It took about 20 minutes to get the tires on. I paid and they gave me my keys. It is four months later and I have no problems with the tires. With the monsoon weather I am even more grateful. The day after the tires were put on, I went home and did some research. They are GTR Chapiro tires which sell for about $57.00 at walmart. This alone is over $200.00. They came with a 40,000 mile warranty. I was charged a lil for lifetime balance and rotation and only 41 cents for labor. wow. To the owner of America's Tires: I have never met a sales person that wasn't helpful and friendly and I have never waited more than 45 minutes for a servicing (walk in) in 5 years. I'm aware that there are always special circumstances that can back you guys up and gratefully I have never experienced one of those situations. If I did, it would be 1 in 5 years..... so not bad. These guys are amazing! Two of my tires blew while driving on Hwy 101 South and I had to spend the night in Gilroy while the tow truck left my car in their parking lot. I came early first time thing in the morning and they were so quick in helping me. What can I say? Exceptional services and very helpful. They broke my center cap and still have not replaced it. They didn't apologize either and this was after I spent a lot of money on four new tires. You would think they would have been more customer service oriented. I do not recommend this place. Watch out for Robert and the supposed manager which I could not even meet or talk to, Sean. When I asked them to order a new center cap, they told me that was my responsibility and then to bring it in for them to put it on. I had to insist that they order it. It has been a complete hassle and waste of my time. I don't even know if the part has been ordered, they won't give me a tracking number. Regardless of tire warranty, rotation, etc., why would I go back there ever again? So that I can have them ruin my wheels again? Management and customer service is the worst I have ever experienced and they need an attitude adjustment along with customer service training. Took my Jeep in to just have the summer tires and wheels taken off and have my winter tires and wheels installed. A very simple job, I thought. The tire installer pulls the summer tires and wheels off the jeep, and instead of grabbing the winter tires and wheels, he starts removing the summer tires from the wheels. I brought this to the attention of the service writer and he went out in the shop to advise the tire guy to stop unmounting the tires. Then the tire guy realizes that the winter tires and wheels are in the jeep. So now he has to remount my summer tire to the summer wheel. He was told to do a rebalance of the summer tire + wheel. He did not and was about to put it in the back of the jeep until I told the service writer about it. Wheel and tire finally got a rebalance. When the job was finally done, one of the employee's brought to me my jeep. I asked him if they aired up all 4 of the summer wheels since they had removed all the valve cores. They had put all 4 tires in plastic bags and he said they had aired them all up. I took his word for it, a mistake, and when I got home I noticed that not only were they without air but they didn't reinstall the valve cores. So back to America's Tire I went and not a happy camper. I just don't understand how they could screw up such a simple job and then lie to me about the job they said they did. These guys need a babysitter to get the job done right. By far my worst experience at this shop. One more thing, not even a apology after my second trip to their shop. read more

After my wheel was stolen I came here to find a replacement. I spoke to Raul who set me up with an excellent pair of new rims and tires. Everybody greeted us with a smile offered free water and treated us as if we were the only ones in the store. There was a lot of people and everyone was acknowledged and treated the same. Tires were wearing out too early. The sales guy here gave a discount on the 2 new tires purchased, even though it wasn't necessarily the store's fault. I consider that pretty good customer service. They said the car would be done in 30 minutes; it was actually done in 15. Not bad. I've purchased several tires here and can't say I ever had a complaint or bad experience. They could have cleaned the tires before they drove my car out. There is some kind of something running down the sidewalls, that's unprofessional. Been going here for years. Mostly to buy new tires. I called to see about getting a tire repaired because it was leaking from a plug and they said; " we most likely can fix it." I drive over and I wait in line 30 minutes and watch everyone slack as much as they can before I get help. When someone offers to help I tell him the situation and he goes out to look at it. On the way back in he says. " we probably can't fix it, do you want to replace it if we can't?" Always trying sell new tires. I know if I went for the fix it would not be one tire but 2 they would try to sell me. I will NEVER go back to buy my tires here. After calling about 10 places to get the best quote from San Jose to Gilroy, I went with America's Tire Store because they were $30 for tire rotation/balance. Luckily, I was able to make an appt for 2:30...same day. Mind you, this is the first time I've ever had to call about car stuff myself or even take my car to someone to get it checked aside from the dealership. As soon as I walk in, a gentleman whose name I didn't catch says, "you called about the tire rotation appointment, right?" I got all happy and was like YEAH! haha. Anyway, he walked me to the service counter, charged me $30 before my service was completed (kinda weird, but maybe this is normal?), and said the fee covers the life of the tires and isn't a one time deal. Can you believe how happy I was to hear this? They're even cheaper than firestone who charges $75.99 for the life of the tire. He tells me it'll be 45 minutes and I take a seat. I check in at 2:33 pm (I was late, my bad) and walk out at 2:58. So why do they get 5 stars: the guy was super nice and friendly, didn't try to sell me anything because I'm a girl, and they were done in less than half an hour! Side note: theres tons of parking, a Home Depot across the street if you need to waste time, and it's really clean inside. read more

This morning I visited the Gilroy store and I want to pass along my experience. I bought a set of Michelins there about four years ago and they came with free rotation, free puncture repair and free rebalancing. I usually rotate the tire myself when I do oil changes, so I haven't had occasion to go back til now- when I picked up a nail. For me, the best retail is all about great execution of the basics- I don't need nuttin fancy. - I booked my visit online, the process was easy to do- nice job. - When I arrived, the facility was clean and open with plenty of close by parking- nice job. - On entering, I was greeted immediately and assisted right away. Several employees were helping others as well, the atmosphere was friendly, not noisy and the store comfortable- nice job. - The adviser quickly found my appointment and "me" in the system and let me know the tire repair, rotation and rebalance were all included with my purchase- no charge for the visit. I knew that ahead of time, but appreciated he got right to it- nice job. - I walked across the parking lot to Home Depot and they were already working on my truck on my return- nice job, no delay. - On my return, I hung around the bay door watching the guys work on my truck. Now the best part; not one or two- but all three technicians greeted me over the next few minutes. They made eye contact, offered a big smile, asked if I had questions and otherwise made me feel welcome and appreciated as a customer. Make no mistake- this is retail 101 stuff that so many companies can't seem to figure out- your team all scored 100%- super nice job. - My truck was done, no exaggeration, in 30 minutes. They did the repair and I saw the tech use a torque wrench to double check every lug (all 32 of them)- he even crawled under and checked the spare tire pressure. PS- while waiting, I chatted with another customer (who had his new Audi A7 in for a new set of tires)- we both remarked how quick, smooth and competent the entire experience was. We're both spreading the word! I won't buy tires anywhere else. read more

They fit you in the schedule, but when you get there the schedule doesn't count anymore. They did the rotation and I told them that one of my tires has problems, so I asked them to check. They said that everything was ok and two days later I had a flat tire in the middle of the highway. They said that the tire was good when they checked, and made my pay for the new one. I've been a customer since they opened several years ago. I gave them 5 stars for the following reason: 1. The staff is great! They are professional, courteous, efficient, and no pressure tactics here. They also off good advice and numerous options depending on your financial ability. 2. I do purchase the "insurance" I and it's been well worth it. When I've had any problems with the tires they fix it and more often than not, replace it. 3. Location is convenient and plenty of parking. 4. They offer both walk-ins or appointments. (Note: walk-ins obviously take more time). 5. If for some reason, you experience tire problems outside of Gilroy, you can go to your nearest American Tire to get the problem fixed (they offer a list of locations with your receipt). 6. They have always gone above and beyond when trying to help me. When I purchased a new car, they were able to transfer the tires from my old car to my sisters car and even transferred the tire warranty to her for free. Can't get better than that! read more

If anything, they suggested a lower-priced tire after first looking up the brand that was already on the vehicle. After I came in, about 7 customers checked in and had to wait a little longer.
