We had a blowout on our 5th wheel on the way to vacation. We put the spare on and came here. They sold us some tires and told us we had to wait an hour before they could start working on them. An hour and a half later they tell us that they don't have the tire that they sold us, or any other trailer tires at all. They said they would give us our money back or go to Ceres to get the tires. We had no choice but to send him to get the tires. Well over an hour later, he returns with the tires. In the meantime, they direct a motor home that had just arrived between us and the shop. Now they are telling us that they need to put tires on the motor home before they will even begin to work on ours. I have always been a supporter of Americas Tire and frequent their Turlock location, buying all the families tires and rims from them. I have never been mor disappointed and dissatisfied with customer service as I am now. The entire family and dog is in the truck waiting in the heat for hours because of the employees incompetence and they have even begun to put the tires on yet! Very disappointing! Amazing service, this is the second time I come in with an emergency and they've gone above and beyond through customer service and execution. This time around I had both rear wheels ready to fall off on my way home. Josh looked at the wheels, and automatically pin pointed the issue and knew what the main cause was. Gave me best and worst case scenarios and said he'd work quickly to get me back on the road but I'd have to meet him half ways with separate wheels Incase mine were beyond repair. I agreed and I was in and out within 20 minutes. Mind you they were busy and packed. Inspection came out good and nothing was damaged. Free of charge. When I go home after work I don't think on spending 800 dollars on new wheels and tires. And for them to put in man power and fast service free of charge I thought was amazing and helped me out in a great time of need last minute. Came in to have a tire mounted after I had my rim repaired. I had the tire placed back on the wheel after having the tire put on at ATech on Prescott inside out. Very helpful staff, the man helping me advised me the tire was placed on inside out and mounted and balanced the tire properly at no charge. My tires are a month old purchased at American Tire Depot (different company and I will never let them touch my vehicle ever again) Will be coming here from now on for all my tire needs. They said they could give me a new one for about the same price as the used one and could mount it in less time than it would have been had they put the used tire on. I called to order 2 tires and was told they had to order them and would arrive in 2-3 business days so I called to see if they had arrived and was told oops he had the day off and forgot to submit tires. Ok so the assistant manager says let me order them and we'll give you better tires for the same price and I said no I want the same tires on my car. So I call and tires are in so I schedule my appointment and arrive to have tires installed only they ordered the wrong tires so I'm not happy and ask to speak to Manager who apologizes and calls to see when tires will arrive and I'm told 3 days, but he's giving me a good deal so I say ok order them and he quotes me $30.00 more and I ask why and says they can't change the installation price. I've gone to another tire shop for years and years (check my reviews) but I went here as someone had already prepaid to have a set of tires put on a car for me. Getting customers in and out is a very cumbersome setup - you can be standing around quite a while waiting to talk to a customer rep. They told me that they'd have a half hour turn-around - I think I was there nearly an hour and a half. I also noted that there were only a few guys changing tires and that they would only do one or two cars at a time. It seemed to take two or three guys just to do one car. This is not the norm! Used to like this place but they're getting shady and lazy. If you are a chick and you come alone- be prepared to have them try to take advantage of you. Yeah, they say that they do free nail repairs, but what they actually do is claim they can't repair it so that you have to buy a tire. Today, I had a nail puncture smack on the top of the tire, they claimed it was on the tire wall (which can't be repaired) just so they could sell me a tire. I went back afterward and looked at the tire, and it was a good inch from the wall. It was completely fixable- which I later confirmed with someone else who used to work in a tire shop. The time before this, the guy said my husbands car didn't have the wheel lock so he would have to break it off. I told him the lock was with the spare tire, but he said he had looked "everywhere" and couldn't find it. After waiting a while, I grabbed another dude, and he found it right away- within seconds. Obviously, the first guy didn't even look, and was willing to damage my rims to get it off. Last-let's talk about their warranty. I have purchased it twice, and twice they have refused to honor it. No matter what happened to the tire, they always say it has run flat damage which isn't covered. The 2nd time that happened, I asked if I could have the tire, because I didn't believe them, but nope, sorry, they'd already thrown it away. Right. F this place. Today, I kept my tire, and plan to file a complaint. I'm done with this place. I am sick of their laziness and sneaky sales tactics, they'll tell you anything to get out of doing free repairs or honoring a warranty. read more

I USED to like America's Tire Company But their prices have gone WAY up. $200 a pair now for average size Buick tires. Or for only $20 more you can get a pair with twice the mileage, so the cheaper pair is obviously artificially high. That won't help at all when you're on a budget. Its been a long time since I've seen such amazing customer service! Its what will make or break my patronage even at the most "wonderful" of shops. I was in need of 2 tires for my poor Saturn with balding tires (shame shame, I'm aware...) and after my father spent time really looking for the best deals for me, we found that America's Tires had the best deal of $70/tire. My dad and I were both pleasantly surprised at the price. I promptly made an appointment (which, unfortunately, I ended up being tardy for...yet they were really kind and patient about it). I was immediately greeted in a warm manner and tended to by Jose (18 years with the company is pretty impressive of both the man and the company to me). He was really nice, funny, and honest about my poor tire-maintaining skills:( My 2 rear tires were also in need of help (which, at the moment, I'm not able to afford. He did say they offer financing though). He didn't even skip a beat in saying that he's still going to help me out. They happened to have a couple of (extremely- to the point of still having the nubby things not warn out) extra tires and put them on my car for free with the promise of returning when I had the financials to purchase the new ones I need. All the employees I spoke to while I was there were incredibly nice, but the thing that resonated with me was that it wasn't just me getting amazing service. There were also 2 other customers who I witnessed being treated incredibly well. I thought, hey, maybe its because I'm a single young woman who obviously is pretty incompetent about cars that they're being nice to me, but no. Its was everyone there regardless of age, race, or gender. I left feeling very impressed and content with having chosen them. I went in to Standiford store on Saturday afternoon (11:30am). There were only 2 people in the waiting area. I went in for a flat repair, but after inspection, I was told I need new tires. I decided to purchase the tires, since I stupidly trusted the salesperson. I was later told there was enough tread on my old tires and that replacement wasn't necessary (with still 30 - 40% wear left). I was told it would be 1 hour to replace the tires. It took ended up taking 3.5 hours! After 1 hour, I asked where I was in line, they kept saying "Next". In the meantime, several other cars were pulled in ahead of mine. I had purchased 4 new (EXPENSIVE!) tires (the salesman gave me no other options). After my car was on the rack, they discovered they only had 3 in stock AFTER they had already been replaced on my car. I was told to make an appointment to come back on Monday to get the fourth tire. They left the old tire on told me it would be safe until Monday. I asked if I could go to another store. They said any other store would have the extra tire. As I drove away, there were warning lights and signals coming on. Since my car clearly wasn't safe for the road on the rainy weekend, I decided to go to the Turlock store to get the fourth tire. So glad I found this place. This is the company that that old lady throws a tire thru the window in a funny commercial, just so you know who I'm talking about. It was Saturday (ugh) and they had a line, but I only waited about 10 minutes. The guy looked at my tires, and offered me several alternatives. Kinda a good-better-best scenario. I took the good. Oh! And the 4 tires, shocks and sway bar end links good Ol' reliable you-know-who said I needed was a bunch of who-ha. Nope. Just needed two new rear tires. That's all. Omg I was relieved! The Sales and Service here is great. Scripted yes, but funny because both the sales guy and you know this is carefully worded tire theater. They have COLD water and coffee, restrooms. No popcorn.
