I had to make a couple calls to America's Tire to get information on existing tires that the previous owner of my vehicle had put on and to decide which tires to replace them with. Both times i called I was assisted quickly and the information given to me was very helpful. I know I spoke to Nate the second time I called but can not recall the person I spoke to the first time. On my second call I made an appointment to have my front tires replaced the next day. Today I arrived in time for my appointment and had to wait in line for a few minutes to be seen. There were several people walking in and the phone was ringing like crazy. The speed with which they took calls and cheerfully helped customers was impressive, yet they never gave the impression that they were rushed. As someone who used to be in a line of work that required both of these things I was impressed. I was helped by Edwin who explained that their delivery truck was running very late and if at any time I felt I could not wait they would upgrade my tires for free as I had set an appointment two hours after their expected delivery time. I assured them I had no problem waiting for a bit as I had planned for an hour plus wait and me and my little 4 month old would be fine. Less than ten minutes later Evan came out and explained that the truck had been stuck in bay area traffic and he did not want me to have to wait and they were just going to go ahead and upgrade my tires as he did not feel it was right for me to have to wait. Minutes after he said this the delivery truck was spotted waiting to turn in to the parking lot, I told Evan I could wait if he wanted to get the right tires but he told me that it would be some time before they could get them unloaded and again, he did not want me to have to wait that long. Exactly one hour after I had arrived Edwin was handing my keys back as the job had been completed. This was impressive as I was originally quoted an hour when I called to make my appointment. While I was sitting in the waiting room I was impressed with the way they treated all of their customers who walked through the door. There was not one unhappy person coming or going the entire time I was there. Their waiting room is also kept neat and orderly considering the amount of traffic they have during the day and they provide coffee and cold bottle water for their customers. Went here to buy 2 new tires. The people here are nice, helpful, and attentive. However, the service was estimated to take 1hr and 30 minutes "at the most" and they finally brought my car to get serviced after waiting for nearly 2 hours. I'm sure they're busy; however multiple people were waiting longer than they were estimated and no one was given updates. I'm sure they give good service and were just busy...I would advise to get here as early as possible to avoid the inevitable waiting and staring at the window for your car to finish (impatiently). read more

Tires were paid for December 13. Won't have all of them till maybe Jan 31st. Have been back and forth from the store 5+ times only to have the wrong wheels ordered a handful of times and delay after delay. Staff and manager were very disrespectful and condescending to us during this process. Will never go here again. read more

Not quite sure why there's such negative reviews. Now, this place doesn't blow me away with superb service but they get the job done with a smile. As for the prices that appear to be high, what can I say? That's the ever-growing inflammation of the world as we know it. I've used America's Tire Co. in the Bay Area with no complaints and this Modesto location is no exception. The service is fast, faster than expected. There are no cocky attitudes from the employees (which is very common in any auto shop) and virtually NO sales pressure insisting that I must upgrade to a better tire. I really have no complaints. I came to replace my two front tires but I plan on coming back to replace the other two in the near future. 4 Stars read more

I absolutely love this place & the customer service that they provide. When I was deciding between this place and another tire place in Tracy, ca to purchase tires, Americas tires sold it to me. Friendly workers with great customer service. Therefore, I purchased my tires here with insurance. Luckily when I had a flat tire, the Americas tires in Modesto were able to replace my tire for only $20! So glad I purchased the insurance plan. And just recently I had one of my tires nailed & plugged at some random place. I didn't feel safe so I went to Americas tires to have them look over & check the air pressures. They not only did that, they also scheduled me in for a tire repatch. I'm so happy that I purchased my tires here because I would definitely recommend this place! Finally they honored an appointment ! Usually one has to wait 1.5-2 hours even WITH appointment. Today was only 20 minutes. Vast improvement!!! Generally very good work here. I have had them lose metal logo valve stem caps so if you have anything other than plastic, remove before service. Tire warranty they offer is good and worth the money. read more

Not going to write a lot. Been a fan of America's Tire Company for a long time. This store is no different. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, quick work, and a willingness to work with your schedule. The only downside...sometimes there's a long wait to get checked in or they are backed up requiring upwards of 2 hours to get the service done. But, when you know you're getting good service, it's worth the wait. That being said...appointments are recommended. read more

Yesterday 07/27/2019 we were on our way to a funeral when I picked up a screw in my tire, not knowing any place to help I used my navigation to find a tire shop. When I arrived the sales person was extremely helpful and polite. He informed me that the tire could be repaired, I thought it would have to be replaced. The repair was made quickly and we were only 30 minutes late to the funeral. The service was so good that I know I will continue to use this company. Even the one in the town I live in. read more

This place is amazing! I went to get my tire patched and was told they couldn't safely patch it based on wear and tear. But instead of leaving it at that, the worker took the time to explain to me how they measure tire life and why mine weren't safe anymore. They even gave me a loaner tire to use over the weekend while my tires were being ordered. Then when I got them changed out, the pricing was great and my truck drives noticeably better. Had a slow leak in one of my tires so I decided to drop by and have them take a look at it. Although they were extremely busy, I was greeted in a friendly and professional manner. The gentleman immediately walked outside to inspect my tire and noticed I had a small nail in it. He said no problem they'll remove the tire (in 90 minutes) to inspect the damage from the inside and if all is ok, they'll repair it for free. In all honesty, I immediately became skeptical and expected them to find additional issues that would drain my pockets, but to my pleasant surprise, (in 90 minutes) they had me driving off with a fixed tire and not a dime spent! Told it would be 1 1/2 hour after 2 hours I finally went and told them your way pass you time lot how long I was next as soon as they had a space open another 45 minutes they were done . I've been to several America's tires in the area. America's tires never fails to impress.I was on my way to Modesto when I got a flat tire. Close to the stores closing time, I called asking if I can come in and how much time they would need. The gentleman who answered the phone said you can come in at 4:59 with 59 seconds and we'll still change your tire I feel terrible for not remembering the names of the men who helped me out. The blonde gentleman and Spanish speaking gentleman really impressed me with their dedication to their customers. The best part was seeing all these men pitch in to get the place cleaned up for closing. Best experience yet. Highly recommend purchasing tires from America's tires considering the fact I only paid $18 for a new tire thanks to the tire protection. read more

The manager was a jerk. What happened to the other management that was doing better with their service? The guy who was helping me seemed new but was trying to get me Good service, unfortunately his manager didn't let that happen. I would have been completely happy had the service rep been allowed to take ownership and handle my entire visit, but he had to go through management and they didn't seem to help at all. Best service I have ever had. First off, I came in 15 mins before closing time so I didn't expect much help. But boy I was wrong. Cameron and the other guy I forgot his name helped me find an issue with the tire on my Subaru WRX STI. Not only did Cameron find the issue but gave me a ton of info about what he would do since he said he owned one. I commute to the bay in a work vehicle so I rarely make it back into modesto before tire shops close, So most shops turn me away since it's so late. But these guys had a great and friendly attitude the whole time even though they were basically closed. I decided I was going to buy all 4 tires and not only did they have them in stock but they offered to put them all on today. I didn't have all the cash up front so I slapped he spare in it and will be back Tuesday for the set. Very happy with this place. I have an account with American tire at least six years. I am troubled by the unprofessional attitude and knowledge of the manager at the store. I simply wanted tires checked for air pressure before leaving on a trip. A woman came in and took my place the manager didn't even care he allowed her to move forward in front of other people also. When a manager moves a woman to the front of the line over other people he definitely isn't looking out for the best interest of his store only has on. Staff is always very friendly. Even when extremely busy.. However, today when I had my tires rotated one of the wheel studs snapped off. (This is the 2nd time this has happened at this store). We were watching the repair and new something went wrong. Tire rotation was completed and we were promptly asked if anyone else had worked on the tires before. The answer was...no, not since the last tire rotation here. We were then told that the stud had broken off and they needed to write up some paperwork for us to take it to Midas to have it repaired. The good news, America's Tire will pay for it. I let them know I understand things happen but this is the 2nd time,and I wasn't happy about it. This is an inconvenience for me to have to deal with another repair. Service tech was sympathetic and apologized. As we were ready to leave I got in my vehicle and looked at the arm rest (it's beige) and it was soiled with grease from the techs black gloves they wear while servicing vehicle's. I headed to the office to ask for someone to clean it and was met by the tech who serviced my vehicle. He apologized and got his manager. Troy, a manager came out, apologized and cleaned the soiled area. I mentioned that we were watching the service techs for at least 45 min and noticed that they worked on vehicles with the gloves on but never took them off when they got in to move your vehicle. Therefore, causing grease/dirt residue on door arm rest and steering wheels. If interior is a light color it's very noticeable. Troy said he would be addressing this again with the techs and assured me this was not common practice. Once again very apologetic. The customer service is excellent but it seems like the service techs who are working on our vehicles are not fully engaged into the repair. They seem to be having a "good time" which can be a good thing, but not at the expense of its customers. read more

Had to order tires for my car and I shopped around for a week through other local tire shops. I finally got a good price on some really good BF Goodrich tires. They said over the phone they were in stock and when I got there and waited for over an hour they said they had to order them. My tires were in very poor condition and I needed something now. Despite the mix up they offered to loan me 4 new tires while my new tires got there. They went above and beyond by letting me use a new set of tires while mine came in.
