I bought my tires 5 years ago. Yesterday my back right tire had a huge nail in it and they were able to schedule an appointment same day. They fixed it at no cost and the waiting area was clean and large with many comfortable chairs. The customer service person was very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. It took under an hour and they also rotated and balanced my tires. I am back on the road and very happy with their service. The staff is always super friendly and helpful! Some of the best customer service I've ever seen. The staff seems very knowledgeable. Without an appointment, wait times could be pretty high, but with an appointment, I was in and out with new tires is 15 minutes. The staff also does a great job in communicating. Even though both associates in the lobby were helping customers, they still took the time to welcome new customers in and let them know they'd be with them shortly. Devon was awesome. I needed new tires, first time buying them since I had my car for almost 10 yrs. I'd gone to another tire shop prior and I wasn't comfortable but the way the technician talked to me. They also left a hole in my floor mat when changing to the spare. I went to America's Tire a few days later w/ my sister. Devon was so nice, informative and helpful. It was close to closing and I was going to come back the next business day, Devon insisted they could do it and next thing you know...I have all 4 new tires to go home on. I love coming here VS. any other tire place because as soon as you park they meet you up front ( as long as they aren't busy) they are very nice and knowledgeable on their jobs. Drove from San Francisco and my tire icon appeared. I did my research on Yelp! The gentlemen was polite and courteous and it's rare to receive a positive tone on the phone. I arrive to the drive up service which was friendly and quick. It was explain I had a nail in my back right tire and need further assistance at the front desk. Kyle M was polite and disclose the next step of process to resolve my tire issue. This sounds like a minor fix but as a commuter and resident from the San Francisco to Modesto. Just realized that the tire that I purchased at Americas Tire store several months ago is the wrong size. It has been rotating at a much slower speed than my other three tires all purchased at the same store. The new tire diameter is larger and I was told that it was the same as my other tires. Be very cautious of this store. I was contacted by the store manager following this review and he worked hard to make the issue right. They are a very busy store and mistakes happen but they do try very hard to please the customers and in the end I appreciated that even though I've encountered problems. read more

This past visit I needed new tires for my Tesla Model S. I called and spoke to Josh, who assured me he would take care of it. Tires were ordered that day and would arrive the next day by 3pm. What brings me back time and again is the prompt and friendly service. I've gone to other places or my other car (Big O'Tires on McHenry) and was talked to in such a condescending manner that I've never gone back. I originally went to the yuba city location for all nee tires. A few months later I got a flat and had one of the back tires fixed. A few months after that I went to have new breaks put on and was informed I had a stripped lug on the back passenger side so they wouldn't be able to take the tire off to do breaks until that was fixed. I then took the car to America's tires to have them send me to another location to have it drilled out, that took almost 3 hours. I finally was able to drive my car again after 3 weeks. A few days later I got a flat again, nail with slow leak. I took it to Modesto again to have it repaired to find out they had stripped and busted another lug, they couldn't fix the flat until that was fixed and expected me to take it to the shop to have it drilled out again while my tire is flat and then bring back to them to fix it. Horrible service, the manager didn't even know what to say, he def needs to be trained on how to handle situation like this. He said I'm trying to fix this but what do u want me to do. Honestly I wanted to say well a month without my car and trying to find time to get ur mistakes fixed cost me money and time is money but it's not even worth it. Eventually I left my car with them and told them to handle it that I don't have the time. read more

I called in friday to arrange to have my vehicle with a flat tire repaired. I requested a used tire installation and they agreed. I asked the rep to triple make sure if they could do the service and they put me on hold to check, they came back on the phone and agreed they could. I had to make arrangements to tow the vehicle there to have the repair done. They inspected the wheels I had and tires and apologized for not being able to install due to load ratings and recommendations. I then had to pay for ANOTHER tow to pick up my vehicle at the store and deliver it to another local tire shop which they did all the work with no issues. The whole company policy is NOT what I'm upset about, but the training involved by management. If they would have informed me or asked me to check the load ratings on the tires, and asked for my wheel size prior to towing my vehicle there (keep in mind it was $190 each time to tow at a 6-10 mile radius) I would have arranged the work to be done elsewhere and I wouldn't have lost more time and resources aka money. read more

I've known for sometime now that my car was needing new tires which on a limited, fixed disability income represented a difficult decision to make. I've used America's Tire store free "air check" and today the young man pointed out a fault I knew about and addressed one I was unaware about. I'd been delaying getting new tires due to the expense but the "new fault" represented a major road safety hazard. I went home and after a brief discussion with my wife and an examination of my meager bank balance I went back to America's Tire Store. I spoke with Aaron Tagupa who turned out to be the Senior Assistant Manager and was set up for two new tires for the drive wheels and saving the best of the tires rotating them back. What I found to be almost unique was there was no attempt to up-sell me, no high pressure selling, no flimflam no BS! Aaron was courteous, proficient and fully aware of my current needs and circumstances. A most honorable young man in an industry rife with individuals to whom honor is merely a word in the dictionary. I would recommend this location to anyone in the greater Modesto needing to put new rubber where it meets the road. I'll be back to purchase the other tires when my next disability payment comes in August. I normally abhor dealing with anyone in the automotive retail business but this was a pleasant low key zero pressure experience! Kudos to Aaron and the rest of the crew at this location! read more

I got my tires rotated and was immediately helped when I walked in. The place is spacious, clean, and they provide complimentary coffee and water bottles. While patiently waiting for my car to be done, I observed Brandon and definitely realized he is a great and awesome worker. Definitely one of the best from what I have seen. Maybe he was having a good day I don't know. But I hope he is consistently like this. He answered phone calls very quickly, he speaks to customers with a clear voice and agree ways has a smile. When he wasn't on the computer he was changing trashes and cleaning the coffee machine. Definitely will come again! read more

First thing I could think of was to call A.T. because I have always had a good experience with them. Only needed one tire but ended up with 4 and very very reasonable. Guys were great. I really, really, really hate when anything goes even SLIGHTLY wrong with my car because I have ZERO idea how to perform even the most basic maintenance (sometimes I even have to google where to go to get certain things done....). Moreover, I really, really, really hate going into car repair shops because I never know what anyone is talking about/I always get tricked into getting extra services done on my car (yes, I'm that person). However, after MULTIPLE people remarked to me on how flat my tires looked, I finally decided it was time to get my tires filled (...pathetic, I know). On the recommendation of a friend, I came to this location during my lunch break. WOW -- America's Tire Store is W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L. Every single person was kind, helpful, and very respectful (even when it was clear I had no idea what was going on). They inspected my tires and explained very slowwwwwly and carefullllllly what my tire pressure should be, reasons my tires were going flat faster than usual, etc. After inspecting my tires, they filled up all four tires quickly and efficiently FOR FREE. I was blown away and stunned by the customer service America's Tire Store provided me, despite going in for a free service. Moreover, no one tried to sell me anything else! I know it might seem SILLY to be this EXCITED over such a simple service but its hard to be on your own right out of college...even small, simple tasks can sometimes seem daunting. I was so grateful I even tipped the gentleman who filled my tires, despite his initial reluctance to accept it. Got a nice car with expensive rims... STAY FAR AWAY! At first this company seemed like a decent place to get some new tires on my car. Josh who took my call seemed like he would do the best he could to get me the tires I needed at a reasonable price. Tires arrived the day after I called in and left a deposit. My appointment was at 4pm I waited in line for about 15-20 minutes. They were obviously busy. Once it was my turn Chris did the intake of the vehicle and started up the final paper work. When he was writing up the final cost I asked "if the job could not be done without damaging my rims don't even bother performing the installation" (They are expensive rims that were in perfect condition on my 2009 Mazda RX-8 R3) Chris agreed and took the keys of my vehicle. While they were doing the job I tired watching some of the process through the window but excessive customers and a smallish waiting room made that difficult. I finally gave up and sat down. About an hour and a half later the vehicle is done and its dark outside. Later I find that they gouged out the inside of my rims in a rush to serve all their last minute customers and that they took a chunk out of the face of one of my rims. I headed to back to Americas Tire Co and was greeted by Chris. Once I asked for a manager the first thing he said in response was "Did they scratch your rims?" And I responded to him "Yeah they did "I tried to handle it with the manager Phil but he seemed put off that I even bothered him. He writes me up an estimate saying the damage was worth $300. I told him I had to get a second opinion. My second opinion was from Alfred Mathews Collision center. They put the damages well over what he had offered me. Now his insurance company does not want to pay for the damages to be fixed according to Mazda's specifications. In short this place does sloppy work and is not the place to bring any kind of nice car to. Sure if you drive a banged up Ford Pinto it's probably just fine but they are FAR FROM TRUE PROFESSIONALS! read more

My alignment was off from all the darn pot holes in my hometown of Seattle, and it completely RUINED my brand new tire (only 1). He honored the same price that the Seattle Discount Tire offered me. $50.00 for a replacement tire. Time: 45 minutes, and I was on my way to their suggested location for an alignment: Midas - around the corner, with a discount. ***No wi-fi in lobby, but decent waiting area, and excellent customer service. The kind gentleman at America's Tire totally took care of me, and didn't try to hustle for any extra services. On top of that, my little guy absolutely loved watching through their big windows, seeing all the fascinating action of the mechanics at work on the other side. It took close to a year to get all 4 rims back the correct color after they damaged one. I got the single back and it was the wrong color. Then they did all 4 rims the wrong color. 3rd time they got it right. I had to buy another set of rims and tires because it took so long. I just put the wheels they repaired on and drove about 20 miles and one of the brand new tires leaks. I think this place is probably ok for 15 steel wheels but I would not bring anything nice here or alloy wheels. read more

I scrambled to replace the flat with the spare (with assistance from my fiance of course) because it was getting late in the day. My mother told me to go to America's Tire Co., they always did good work on her car before. I got there before closing and the awesome salesman (forgot his name, shoot!) was super friendly and helpful. They had the right tire in stock and got my car ready to go in a half hour, impressive since it was the end of the day and other customers were waiting. Got a good price for the tire too.
