I needed 4 new tires for my Honda Accord. I had Premium Michelins on the car that I have bought at Costco several years before but last time it took 2 1/2 hours waiting. I couldn't wait around that long and I didn't want to pay the prices for the Michelins others stores were charging so I made an appointment at America's Tire for "standard" lower cost Fisk tires but with a 45 min install. Well I when I got there and spoke with Mike at America's Tire he suggested that the downgrade would not only be noticeable but since I drive pretty hard, I would be disappointed in the performance on curves, etc. He suggested he would match the Costco price and I could have the car in 45 min. Saw via other yelp review that if you just need a tire repair, theses guys will do it for free. I went in around 12:15 and was helped within 4 minutes. I showed them the tire and the said if it can be repaired safely, that the repair would be free. Once he saw the tire (which was in my trunk) he rolled it over to the garage and said it would be 30 minutes! Nice! It actually took maybe 40 minutes, but it ended up being free because it could be repaired! Nice! If it couldn't be repaired, I would have bought a tire there. Free tire repair? I dread buying tires because in the past it has always taken a long time. I went a few weeks before Christmas on a Saturday afternoon thinking they would be busy, but they werent! :o) I was so happy. After setting another online appointment for rotation and fixing a slow leak which illuminated my TPMS light, I followed some other reviews online to see if I could get a better experience with America's Tires. After approximately 25 minutes, I had my car returned. They informed me of the nail that was causing the slow leak, so they repaired that. Nice so far..., but then I decided to look at my tires before driving off. Lo and behold, both right tires are on the front. So, after going back inside, I politely informed the guy at the counter that the tires were rotated incorrectly. He came out to look at it himself and saw that I was correct. He then proceeded to let the technicians know to bring the car back in and re rotate. I think they rebalanced them because it took another 15 minutes. Hopefully this doesn't become normal for these guys. read more

Getting work on your car usually stressful and annoying, especially for someone like me who has almost no idea about cars. After getting a flat tire my boyfriend suggested I get new tires since I was always have to pump air into them every other month. Knowing it is better to be safer than sorry I forked up $400 for all new tires. The guys here are really friendly and had me out of there in about 45 minutes. This is one of the few places where you could check tire pressure and inflate for free. (Most gas stations charge) Not only that, if you have a flat, they would actually fix it for free too! That's the goods about this store. The bads? When you arrive, it's not clear whether you should go to the line behind the counter or grab the guys outside. Kinda confusing. And the time estimate they told you seems over-optimistic. I was told it took 1 hour. After an hour, I asked one of the guy and he was very defensive: his explanation was that other customers have made appointments, which I didn't. It's a fair explanation but he definitely has some attitudes insisting me to answer his question whether I made an appointment! I guess he watched too much court room tv. read more

Buy your tires here. Period. I think I've bought three sets of tires from them from back before Yelp existed. Fantastic service, great prices, and their warranty (or whatever its called) is great. I think its like $20/tire, I've had flats repaired, tires rebalanced, and even if the tire is not repairable (like sidewall damage) you'll get a new one - and I paid ZERO for every subsequent service visit. Tip: Make an appointment and you'll be in & out in no time. Called Monday morning, made an appointment for noon, after a short wait in line, dropped off the car, and by the time I finished lunch across the street at In 'n Out, the car was done. My car drives beautifully now that the tires are rebalanced. Oh, and I live in SF so I'm passing probably 100+ tire places that are closer to home to shop here. Granted, I only come down here when I have client meetings in the area, but its still worth the extra effort. read more

These 80,000 mile Michelin Destiny Tires - are exclusively available at Discount Tire. Outstanding customer service. They are very friendly and professional. Not pushy. Unbelievable that they have free tire rotation and flat tire repair! I was incredibly skeptical about the free tire rotation, thinking that I was going to get a bait a switch or some scam. But they did indeed rotate my tires (that I didn't even buy there!) for free, and even wiped and shined them! They didn't try to sell me anything else, like an alignment or some unnecessary thing. I also went another time for a free flat tire repair. They asked about purchasing an extended warranty on the tire, but I declined and they weren't pushy about it. (The only extremely minor issue was that they didn't wipe off the excess repair glue/paste that got on the tire, but I'm not complaining since it was free.) I am definitely going to give them first consideration when it comes time to replace the tires, as long as their prices are competitive. read more

Bought new tires for my BMW here. Super service. My wife's honda seemed to have a slow air leak a few months later. Brought it here , got a nail repair done for free. The problem resurfaced again. Brought it back , they couldn't find any sign of a leak , they checked all tires. Said it could be a bad battery in the tpms sensor that makes it come on every few weeks. When the tpms came on again some weeks later, I used a tire pressure gauge to check the pressure, everything seemed fine so I believe they are right about malfunctioning tpms. Five stars for service. America's Tire is the place to go if you encounter a flat or punctured tire. I found a large screw wedged into my (new) rear tire and immediately brought it here. Not only did the service men dislodge the screw and patch my tire, but they also checked all other tires, found another screw, and fixed it as well. The best part of my car experience here? Everything was done at no cost! I was in and out of the door in 45 min, thanks to this fantastic place and its team! Some recommendations: - Make an appointment, so that you can be serviced immediately; I worked with DeShawn, who was extremely courteous, willing to help, and upbeat! - Bring a book or computer to keep yourself occupied while the car is in service. Took 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time of waiting just to get checked in to be told I need to sit around for another hour and 15. They should not overbook themselves.
