Got my first tire puncture from a piece of metal in my Tesla MYP. Unfortunately I knew the tire was unrepairable as the puncture was in the sidewall. I manage to plug it myself and get home safely. I remember always driving past Americas Tire Pasadena and always seeing Teslas there and thought if I ever get a puncture, I'll look this place up since they would be familiar with correctly jacking Teslas without damaging battery. That day finally came and all I can say is the Pasadena store team was outstanding. Tyler especially who I spoke to on the phone the next day. He was able to order and replace my tire the same day I called. He was very courteous and helpful. I arrived at 4:30pm and there were a lot of cars in the bays. Tyler was with another customer and I was served by Jira who was also courteous and helpful. He also explained the additional warranty for tires I could purchase since all my tires were still practically new and could save me $s in the future if this happens again. I agreed and saw the benefit since one tire cost is a lot and purchased the additional lifetime protection warranty as a piece of mind. Always impressed with how this place handles customers - they are efficient and deliver in a timely fashion. The customer service rep said they have a 15 minute time frame from when a car enters the bay to when it must be done. That's impressive. They must have a system worked out that they can confidently quote when your vehicle will be ready. Sure enough, when he said my vehicle would be ready in 1.5 hours (5 cars ahead of mine) I get a text that it was ready 1 hour and 20 minutes later. read more

This review is for removing wheels that were currently on my car and installing new ones. I've been to several America's Tires and so far this one in Pasadena has been doing a decent job at taking care of my cars. I had recently powder coated some wheels and wanted to get them installed on my car. So I brought the car and my wheels to America's Tires. By the looks of their parking lot, they seemed to be pretty busy at 9:30 am; I had to park on the street. I did not have an appointment and walked in to their lobby to wait for a free staff member. The lobby has several red stools and a window where you can see into the garage as the cars are being worked on. It also had a really strong air freshener scent which can be slightly irritating for those who have sensitive noses. When it was my turn, I explained what I needed to have done. We walked to the car and I showed him the wheels that I wanted installed. He told me there would be a short wait so I decided to wait it out in the lobby. About 20 mins later, wheels were installed and I was off on my merry way! Overall, despite being a walk in, the wait was not too long. The staff members were friendly and I did not find any damage on my newly installed wheels. They got the work done and even bagged the old wheels and put them back into the car. read more

I not only go to America's Tire for the their price matching but what gets me going back is their unmatched customer service. I was originally going to an America's Tire for maintenance near where I live but I was taking a class around the area. Thought I would pop in and see if they could see me at this location. Got to talking with one of the guys at the front desk and told him my situation. His said it was no problem and just told me which location and he took it from there. It was that easy. The attendant doing air checks was really kind and helpful, and informed me that my back tires were in rough shape (I wasn't surprised to hear this as new tires were overdue and I have a long work commute). He assured me we could find affordable tires and get them replaced quickly and guess what, he was right. I had a great experience with America's tire recently! I had a nail in my tire that I was told by my dealership could be repaired. I stopped by America's tire on a whim as I was driving to an appointment with another tire place. Jason who did the intake was very nice, efficient and clear, and he got my car right in. The repair/patch took less than 20 minutes. When I asked him before the repair how much it was going to cost, he said "No charge". Amazing!! There is a dedicated seating area, it's very clean, and the tires are stored separately near the work bays so you don't have to breathe in the chemical smell of new tires in an enclosed area while you wait, which is a huge plus for me! I brought my car in for tires rotation. After they done, the front right wheel was making noises when I drove out the shop I turned back immediately and have them take a look. The mechanic said the break caliper cover were bent causing it to scrape the disc and making noises. The guy said it's my problem and refuse to help. Even though it was fine before the rotation. I had to bring the car to another shop near by. The other shop guy said it's not even bent. The caliper cover were pressed down when rotating the tire, just pushed back up, easy fix. America's tire didn't even take the tire out to check when I brought back. Straight refuse to help and take the responsibility for causing the issue. Wasted my time and money. read more

I have come here many a times to get my tire pressure checked, and have always been helped in such a caring and professional manner. When it came time to get my tires replaced, I thought of America's tire! I had a couple phone conversations with two employees, Nick and Josh. Nick was wonderful, very helpful and informative, willing to help me out and get me a discount too. Josh, on the other hand, almost caused me to cancel my appointment because of the attitude he had on the phone with me as I was simply trying to find out all the costs associated with tire installation from their establishment. I was asking questions, such as, How much is the tire installation?" Ultimately, I decided to keep my tire installation appointment, and upon arrival at my appointment time, I disappointingly had to wait 20 minutes in line before being helped. When I got helped, the representative took a call while I was paying. I find that rude. I'm spending over $400 and you're taking a call before I finish paying. Upon return to the store in order to pick up my car, I had to wait again in line another 20 minutes. All in all, I wouldn't come here to get tires installed or have serious service done, as the wait time is long on both ends of service with an appointment! read more

I've come here a few times for tire issues for my car and have always experienced really great customer service from the staff here. Whether it be on the phone, in person in the office, or the staff that works on the cars, it was always friendly and helpful. I appreciate that the staffing is done very efficiently because they are always busy on the weekends and there are enough people to service all areas. They even give you updates on where you are on the waiting list through text message so you can estimate closely when to pick up your car when they're done. I needed to order specifically what i wanted but i was ok with that as long as i was able to get discounts and i did . I purchased 4 new tires here about 8 months ago. They offered a free rotation, so I return to have that done. 10:48am - I speak to a "greeter" who took down my information, where my car was parked and my cell number. I was told to wait in my vehicle and a service advisor would come out to speak with me. I immediately received a text message from their app that allowed me to "check my place in line". So far, so good. 11:55am - About waiting an hour in my car, I realized that I've seen other cars arrive after I did and they were already speaking to an advisor. Checked the linked I was texted and it says "You are not on a wait list". My time on my day off from work was wasted by this place. But, I still need to get the tires rotated. I needed a flat tire replaced (it was beyond repairing) a few days ago. I called ahead to see if this shop had the tire I needed in stock. After providing the tire code to the employee over the phone, I was told the tire was in stock. I arrived at the shop approximately 5 minutes later, and was told (by a different employee) that the tire I needed was actually *NOT* in stock. Due to time constraints (I had to go to work afterwards), I settled for a very similar (but not identical) tire that they *did* have in stock (which had a similar tire code). When I asked an associate what the difference was the 2 tires and what was the reason for the minor difference in price (since they had nearly identical tire codes), I recall receiving a vague answer that gave me hints of snake oil salesman vibes (either that, or a feeling that the sales people require more comprehensive training relating to the products they are selling). My car was ready 35 minutes later than the originally provided estimated completion time (given that the shop was quite busy at the time of my visit, and also given that the completion time was an estimate, I did not factor this into my 3-star rating). Total wait time (from arrival at the shop to completion of the job and delivery of my car) was slightly over 2 hours. Although I was less than happy with the apparent miscommunication over the phone (I *hope* that's what it was, and not something else ...), I am still obligated to otherwise give high marks to the staff here for their notable professionalism and good manners. In particular, the gentleman who delivered the car to me upon completion of the tire change was very good about clearly communicating all work that was completed taken on my behalf (my tires being inflated to a specific PSI level, my donut being inflated to a specific PSI level and placed back into my trunk, etc.). Additionally, I was watching the shop's personnel while they worked on my car - they appeared to properly check/inflate all 4 of my tires (according my car's TPMs, all tires were indeed inflated to approximately 36PSI as stated), properly install my replacement tire, and even shine the sidewalls with a brush. My perception of the quality of the work at this shop is extremely high - it's only been a few days since my tire was changed, but so far, no issues. Had my desired tire actually been in stock that day as originally promised over the phone, I would probably have awarded this shop 5 stars. I would still consider coming back here (human error is what it is) - but if I did, I would first go through even greater effort in ensuring my desired tire was actually in stock prior to making the drive over. read more

Short version: don't come hete. To elaborate... Nine years ago, I left a 5-star review for this store, but I regret coming back here in 2024 and thinking I can take care of my car here. My review is below, but first, note this: shortly after I posted this review, America's Tire corporate people commented on it and provided a public link (which isn't compliant with Yelp's terms of service) in a supposed effort to rectify the problem - you will see it below... however, that link points to a rather depersonalized data entry page asking for my social profile URL (which they already have) and for my email address and phone number (which they can easily find); if they genuinely wanted to make me feel better about this experience, they should have simply sent me a direct message to start a civilized conversation - something I would welcome... but that didn't happen. Anyway, here's what transpired when I visited this store in 2024 to swap out the two front tires on my 3.3L Stinger GT... I called this store at 815am to set up my work order. I spoke with David, who took care of me in under 5 minutes. Then, while in traffic en route to the store with an ETA of 9am, I called the store again at 840a to check in. I spoke with a fellow named Terry, letting him know I'd arrive at 900a. Terry confirmed that I was checked in. I arrived at 900 sharp. Terry came across as a used shoe salesman... and assured me I was the "fifth in line." So far, so good. Exactly 10 cars went in and out of different bays over the next 90 minutes. At 1030 I asked for the store manager... A fellow named Juan showed up. I told him that I checked in at 8:40am, and that it didn't make sense that I was still waiting at 10:30, nearly 2 hours later. Juan told me that they couldn't find my car key because I supposedly "didn't give it to Terry"... although interestingly, he noted that the key was [mysteriously] found ;)) ... and he then went on to accuse me of not being in the store since 9:00am and told me that I had only arrived 20 minutes earlier. He made that accusation right in my face and right in front of at least two people working under his management, both of whom saw me arrive at the store at 9:00am. In other words, the manager of this store is a pathological liar with a major customer service problem and should at best be allowed to flip burgers at Mickey D's across the street. Interestingly, I spent the entire 90 minutes of my wait time sitting next to the door from the customer lobby to the work area, while Juan never even walked through that door until I asked for the store manager (and during that entire time, Terry was present around the customer service area and could have easily reached out to me if the key in fact had been missing). The morale: this store is managed by a thug who is certainly not only poor at customer service, but also completely unqualified to run a store - any store... which probably also explains why, when the car was finally ready to take home, the bill ended up being about four times higher than what Dave had originally quoted me; and it was Dave who in the end had to rectify the problem (and he did a fabulous job, under the circumstances), while Juan was talking in the parking lot to someone who looked like his buddy, who brought a commercial SUV of some sort and cut in ahead of everyone else (while half a dozen customers were waiting in the lobby and exchanging jokes about the way this shop does business). Long story short, I spent over two and a half hours at the store to do 10 minutes worth of tire work, and I obvioualy hated every minute of it. The end. Hopefully, your experience here will be better, but it certainly will be better if you go to any other America's Tire location instead of this one. read more

I usually love this place, but not this time. I've never had to wait past estimated completion time. Went in for a nail in the tire that needed a whole replacement. Paid at 1:51pm. Given an estimated time of 4pm. Well, 4pm rolls around, & the car isn't even being worked on yet. Seen countless people with cars come & go. They pull the car in at 4:21pm, & is finished by 4:38pm. I bought tires from here on 6/28/2019 and the person helping me was nice and quick. The car was ready for pick up in less than a hour but I didn't have a chance to get it until closer to 5pm. Once I got my car I did the TPMs reset in my car but the distance home was too quick to do a full reset. A few hours later I was driving down to LA, the TPMs finally reset showing over 80 psi on the driver side front tire. I initially just though it was a sensor error but double checking with the tire inflation tool in my car show it was well over 80 psi. I tried to let out about 20 psi of air since I was not sure if something was wrong of my car or the tires. I brought it back to the shop and told the front office the issue. They told me to pull into tire pressure check station and found the tire was indeed way over inflated. I asked why or how this happened and was told one of the machine that auto inflates the tire did not function correctly and its not the first customer that brought their car back for this issue. I don't know how they can let my car leave with such a glaring issue. As far as I understand it is very dangerous to drive with a significantly over inflated tires. I don't think they should continue to operate knowing one of their inflator is potentially malfunctioning. Please check your own tire pressure just incase. TL:DR, bought 4 new tires and car TPMs showed 1 was over 80 psi. Verify manually and saw it was significantly over inflated. Brought it back in to fix to find out one of their machine malfunctioned. read more

I had so much respect for this location, I brought every single of my cars here to get new tires, or when I get flats to get fixed. This time I bring my car in due to a nail and very low tire pressure. I went in, and it didn't have that friendly vibe like past visits, Josh I believe that helped me didn't even say Hi. Just very stern face and "how can I help?". I didn't have my wheel lock on me, and This is what he told me: "Go to the Mazda dealer and get a key then" - you expect me to drive to glendale or puente hills on a flat with a nail to get a key?! And then he proceeded to tell me not to go to the dealer or they'll charge me for 4 new tires... again when only one needed repair, and again why would I drive so far with a nail and flat? In the end only option he gave me was to just break them off and lose the wheel locks on all 4 tires even though only one needed repair. He didn't even give me an option to replace the locks. Not even an apology he just walked away. Apparently they don't have wheel lock keys in these situations, they should've at least said something about or have a warning online or over the phone when customers like me called in to see if they can help with a nail. I had an overall terrible experience working/communicating with most of the staff here. Prices are good, if anything. My primary complaint is "customer experience" and IMO is an important aspect of doing business. If anything, the most important aspect of any business because it directly affects the sustainability of that business. My experience: I called and spoke to Josh, ordered Falken Wildpeaks. Josh ordered the tires and told me he would call me as soon as the tires arrive, so that I can head to the business for installation. Before we ended the call, I asked for his name and he gave me his name. Then, I said "thank you for your time, Josh. Have a nice day!" Without a response, Josh hung up on me. 3 minutes later, I called back to tell him I wanted 5 tires, not 4. Michael picked up the phone. I told Michael I just spoke to Josh, just wanted to let him know I wanted 5 tires. Michael puts me on hold for 5 minutes, comes back and tells me Josh is in the parking lot with a customer. I told Michael I wanted to make sure he knows I want 5 tires. Michael said he would check with Josh and make sure he knows I wanted 5 tires. 3 hours later, I called them to make sure nobody "dropped the ball." Michael answers the call, tells me the tires haven't arrived. Again. I asked him "this is for 5 Falken Wildpeak tires" and Michael confirmed it. 2 more hours later, I called the store and the person who answered the phone played the waiting game with me. This person didn't tell me his name. I wanted to know if the tires were there and what is the total price. He kept telling me he was waiting for the computer (5 mins passed) to answer my question(s). Then I said "are you on dial up?" He ignored me and continued to ask since we're waiting for the computer would I be interested in roadside assistance, I said "no, I have AAA, so why is your computer taking so long?" And then this person abruptly hung up on me. I called back and this time Josh picked up the call. I asked him if the tires arrived. Josh asks for my information to verify I am who I say I am. Josh couldn't find my order and puts me on hold for at least 10 minutes. Josh comes back tells me he found my order and proceeds to tell me only 4 tires arrived and when I called to tell him I wanted 5 tires, the 5th tire missed the window and will be there the following day. I told Josh I am on my way, and I would like the total for all 5 tires out the door. Josh gave me the price, and again, I said "thank you, I'll be there soon!" CLICK, he hung up! From the time I arrive and leave the store, 3 more hours have passed. I was told that my 5th tire should arrive after 10:30am but somebody will call me to notify me. I had no idea this ordeal would be an all day event. Next day, I called the store at 12:30pm, Tyler confirms that my tire is at the store but nobody called me. I arrive, I speak to the manager (Gus) and I asked him if he could install my tire since there was a mix up with ordering tires and I had already been there yesterday for the 4 tires. Gus was not accommodating whatsoever, he gave the robotic response of "we deal with customers in order of their check in time and work our way through the line." I told him it should be easy to just mount/balance one tire, maybe 15 mins at most. Again, Gus was not empathetic to my situation. I waited 2 hours for one tire. On the brightside, I had the pleasure of meeting Aurelio. He's professional and courteous. If I ever come back here, which I highly doubt, I will go directly to Aurelio! Next day, I called Funny, I called back 3 minutes later and he couldn't get my order in on time?! If I didn't call them, would they have called me to notify me the tires have arrived?! read more

After a back to back multi-day experience, I was able to witness the difference in approach by the mod(s). (managers on duty) They had to order a run flat for a newly leased vehicle and didn't have it in stock. No big deal, but my experience the following day with the mod Michael (deserves 5 stars), was far more geared towards the customer--which I certainly appreciated. I really would have enjoyed that style and flexibility the day prior. I know everyone has their days and moments, though I firmly believe in a unified approach geared towards prioritizing the customer experience, where consistency is key. I walked out the second day feeling the way I wish I felt the previous day, that's for sure. Seemingly, it doesn't appear as though they are trying to rake you over the coals. And those men have the fortitude to bear that summer heat while performing fairly intense manual labor. I mean, just pulling a tire off a wheel is no joke, aided by equipment or not. I felt sorry for all the sweat I viewed rolling down those gentleman's faces and was also grateful for their work ethic. They run a tight program. I bought 4 certificates to check the box on that "insured" relief on all my tires in the event of another untimely setback. I find value in America's Tire in the bang for my buck. TERRIBLE!! This is the the worst place to spend your hard earned money on tires that we never want to buy. An absolute disappointment in product and service. It's a tire mill with very inexperienced staff putting tires on the vehicle you put your family in. I've been coming here for years for tires. I own 5 cars 4 motorcycles and a trailer. I need tires often. This place has gone down hill ever since the old manager left.
