On my way to the gym this morning, I noticed one of my tires looked low and found a nail. I drove a few blocks to a gas station, added air, then went to Goodyear for a repair and tire rotation. After about 45 minutes, the technician called saying he needed to speak with me. I told him I was there waiting, and he seemed surprised. Had I not been on-site to check the tire myself, I likely would have just agreed to his recommendation over the phone. He then told me the tire couldn't be repaired and needed replacement, claiming it had been driven flat due to faint sidewall marks and a "burnt" smell. I explained it was never driven flat--only a few blocks while low on air--and I didn't notice any unusual smell when he tried to demonstrate. I asked them to repair it anyway, but he refused. Another employee offered to open the tire to show the damage, but after inspecting it, he couldn't find any issues--the tire was still good. They eventually repaired it as requested. It's only been a few hours, but everything seems fine so far. I didn't appreciate being pushed to replace a tire that's less than a year old, especially since I drive under 7,000 miles a year working mostly from home. Sharing photos of all four tires, including a close-up , part of the sides are hard to see. Just be careful with people trying to get you to replace something that doesn't need to be. read more

They always have a promo to keep the price down and include tire rotation, all-aound check up, etc. They're honest and fair and most important, super helpful and friendly. I brought my car here for a routine oil change, and shortly after leaving, I experienced a very dangerous situation on the freeway because the metal plate cover underneath my car was not properly screwed back on. It started dragging while I was driving at high speed, creating loud noises and making me worry that parts of my car could come loose or cause an accident. This was not a minor inconvenience, it was a serious safety issue that could have put me and other drivers at risk. I'm extremely disappointed by the lack of attention to detail and quality control. I would not feel comfortable returning after this experience. UPDATE: Following up on my previous review for Goodyear. We returned because the tire pressure light on my car turned on shortly after service. When we addressed the issue with the metal plate underneath my car coming loose and dragging on the freeway, we were told that "these things happen," with little to no apology or concern for the dangerous situation it caused. Things became even worse when they returned my vehicle and my boyfriend noticed that THREE lug nuts were completely missing from one of the tires. This is an extremely serious safety issue that should never happen after a vehicle service. Not only did they fail to notice before giving the car back, but they also failed to take accountability for the mistake. I call and they say they can take me in. I show up and wait three hours with my baby just for them to not do my tires at all. They quote me on the phone $480 we get there? $990!!! John ( the manager) and his staffs DOESN'T even have Basic knowledge you should not mix different types of tires on the same axle. They need to be replace IMMEDIATELY for public safety. They previously rotated a low tread tire from the front to the rear. The car was fishtailing during the rain. I almost lost control and had an accident. I had to bring the car back today and wasted another 2 hours to get the tire replaced. I will be taking legal action. I would not trust them to service my car for my safety. Coming into town, a car ahead of me drilled into some debris. Naturally, I had cars on both sides of me and couldn't change lanes. So I just had to eat it. Thought I might have a slow leak. If I could put negative stars I would. I have had frustrations with this shop for 5 months at this point. At the beginning of April, I took my vehicle to get aligned. I got grifted into subscribing to a 3 year alignment service, which as of the time I'm writing this review has not even been accomplished. When my vehicle was returned to me, they said the manufacturer did not specify a front camber adjustment. At a later date, I took my car back and got the same result. 2 weeks ago, I took it back again, and this time they changed their story and said the camber bolt was broken. I find it very unlikely that the broken camber bolt went unnoticed the first two times I took my vehicle in. That of course is unless they broke it. They refused a refund and instead said told me they would try sourcing a replacement bolt, but they haven't gotten back to me yet. If I had to name the most incompetent auto shop in town, it would be this one. They basically stole $300 from me for a service that they could not accomplish. The staff who answered my call on 11/21/24 at 12:11pm was extremely rude. I asked a few questions regarding tire rotation. First of all, I'm not a car person, so I did not know it's called tire rotation instead mistakenly said tire flip/switch. He immediately dismissed me and said Goodyear doesn't offer that service, but the way he replied was very condescending. And when I finally asked how long was the wait time, he initially said 1.5 hours (I believe), then I asked again for a clarification and he increased it to 4.5 hours. And then 5.5 hours. Wanting a new set of tires for my pickup, I called them first thing on a Sunday morning as their local competition is closed on Sundays, which doesn't work for me when it comes to tire service, as weekends is the most likely time to get rotations and other tire services. So I called, and was put on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and tried to call back but the phone wasn't even picked up, it went straight to the same hold pattern. I waited a few more minutes. Update: I've been going to their competition for the last 8 months, because I got sucked in with a Groupon for an oil change. I never should have left this place. They are all super honest, and when I got quoted over $2,000 worth of repairs, I called here to make any appointment to get an second opinion. They have never lied to me before. Guess what?? I didn't have to spend over $2000 here today! Most of the stuff wasn't even urgent enough to get done! Also the Store Manager gifted me by replacing my rear windshields wipers on the house. They didn't want to perform the free pothole check that their website advertised because 1 it was free and 2 "my car was too new" even though it's a year old with almost 18,000 miles on it and I had an appointment. Being a woman of color and being talked down to and referred not to do it with no paperwork or proof that they offered to still "check my car". At the end of their quick check they had audacity to still try and sell me a service even though he was telling me there should be nothing wrong cause it's new. (His words not mine.) He then told me a tire rotation was $25 per tire and then told me with everything $154 even though they did a "quick check". They didn't even lift it or anything. The check was like 5 minutes. Basically he didn't want to help me and kept saying my car was too new even though my brakes were squeaking but they would've found that out if they would've done the check they were supposed to do. Couldn't find a reliable honest mechanic for a long time, until I met John and the Goodyear team. I made a last minute appointment for a brake diagnostic and replacement if needed. I knew my car needed new breaks and was certain of the issue at hand. John and his team pin pointed my problem and gave the best options on the table. We did a full brake replacement on all 4 tires. My car was done at the time John said it would be, leaving my wife and I enough time to enjoy our Saturday. My cars brakes sound better than ever. The Goodyear team here are reliable and honest, just like a majority of the other reviews. I don't mind spending money, as long as I get an honest mechanic whom I can rely on. At the end they did let me know I had a gasket leak and gave me the business card of another auto shop to locate it for cheaper, that way I can swing back to them with the diagnosed problem. I understand the economic hardships of the times and to penny pinch when you can, but Goodyear uses premium products to match their premium prices. Apparently if you buy brand new tires from them and get a flat tire after 6 months (and its un-fixable) its not covered under warranty, the standard warranty according to them is only 1 month. The extended warranty is 3 years. They do good work other than that. Edit: I spoke to a manager and they were willing to at least offer a 3 year warranty for the 3 tires I bought 6 months ago from today's date. It would have been nice if they offered to replace my 6 month old brand new tire for free, but unfortunately they refused to. read more

Update.... I had a flat on the side of the road pulled over to do a quick 10 minute change out...... Apparently this dude don't know how to properly torque lug bouts in sequence. I got four of five nuts off, the fifth was so tight I broke my lug wrench trying to remove it. Pulled out my spare lug wrench, broke it.. pulled out my 3/4" drive socket as a last resort, broke the ratchet trying to loosen the bolt...... Called AAA to come remove the bolt for me. Changed tire, drove home. Could've been bad had I been out of cell range!! Then out of curiosity I decided to check the other three wheels. Same outcome. Four nuts broke free easily while the last wouldn't budge unless I used my impact wrench on it. Tells me they are "hanging" the wheels with one nut at full torque, then tightening the rest instead of using proper torque sequence! read more

I took my Toyota Highlander on Tuesday October 17 during my lunch time ONLY because my co worker recommend this place to do oil change. I did my quote online and book an appointment, i wanted to give a try. when I go dropped off the my car staff is friendly and got an estimates of how much it's gonna cost me, I notice the amount it's different. As I'm leaving with the invoice. When I picked up the vehicle and I'm about to pay I brought it up to the register different one from before. Not so friendly she calls another person to come explain to me why they couldn't give me 25 off. instead they give 15off. Which still not bad right.I told them it's false advertising, but there's nothing they can't do and because it's more expensive because of the synthetic oil. Not a single sorry from them but I was okay with the experience cause that helps me and you guys not to go there. So Next day my car started leaking oil and out of the 7 years this it's the first time I see my truck leaking oil. At this point I'm extremely disappointed. I came today Friday to the Steven creek location for them to give me an explanation. Again not a single sorry from them. They did mentioned about the filter being defective which I understand. This location would not honor the 3 year unlimited alignment that I purchased at a different good year. When I brought my car in for an alignment, the service manager told me he doesn't work on cars with after market parts, and my car was too low for his ramps to accommodate. Front desk, I wasn't greeted and when I told him I brought my car in for an alignment, he told me they couldn't do it because of my adaptive damping suspension. What in the world does that have to do with adjusting the camber or toe? If my car was too low for your ramps to accommodate, then why did the other good year location load my car up fine and proceeded to perform the alignment? When I asked for his policy in writing and where it says they cannot work on cars with aftermarket parts, the service manager gave me the run around and couldn't answer the question. I was leaving from work and saw the rear right tire having 20 psi. Realizing there might be a nail, I pumped it up to 36 psi. In a panic mode, I forgot to call Winchester Good Year store ahead for a coming fix. When I arrived, they asked whether I had an appointment; I felt so dumb. However, they checked the records seeing my tires were installed here so they accepted the work. They were so nice: had it done within 30 minutes. Dropped off the car at around 12 pm, selected Oil change Ultimate (Valvoline full synthetic 0W20 oil)for listed price of $129. At Walmart, the retail price for a 5-quarts full synthetic 0W20 oil is $26.97. The Ultimate oil change I ordered consisted of oil, filter, fuel additive and labor. $129 should cover all the parts and labor. Yet, this sale man charged me $20.45 extra for labor and $6.99 for 0.70 quarts of oil. He promised to have the car ready at 1:30 pm.
