I drove into the parking lot with a flat tire and the shop was very busy and another one of his coworkers said that they were unable to help me. So I proceeded to start changing my tire to put the spare on and Tommy came over asked me what was wrong and said he would go and check to see what he can do to help. He then came back and said that he could take my car in right away. He did all of that not knowing if my tire was an America's Tire or not. But yes my tire was bought there and he not only fixed my tire he checked all of the rest of the tires made sure that all tires had air and got me back on the road rather quickly. Woke up early and got in line at America's Tire with no appointment because one of my tires was damaged. It was my first time here, and I was surprised by how quickly the line filled up. The store is huge, very clean, and seemed to have plenty of employees working. It took a little while to get to me since they already had a lot of scheduled appointments, but once I met Pedro, everything went smoothly. He took great care of me and answered my questions while I decided which tires to buy. What really impressed me was that they had already pulled my car into the service bay and started working while I was making my decision. After I chose my tires and paid, I sat down expecting the usual long wait. To my surprise, about 10 to 15 minutes later, my car was ready to go. I was completely shocked. I've spent hours waiting at other tire shops, but not here. These guys work efficiently and provide great customer service. Sure, they mention a few additional products and services, but what tire shop doesn't? The difference is they're not pushy about it at all. I had a 50 min lunch break at work today. The low tire pressure signal showed up on my dashboard so I decided to come to the UC location America's Tire. There was no attendant at the air check station. I waited a few minutes. Then I called (no one picked up) and finally I went inside. I caught the attention of one of the employees and informed him that I was waiting to get air for my tires. He said he would get an attendant and I confirmed that I should go back to my car. I wait in my car and no one shows up. I decide to now go to the Fremont location on Beacon. Normally, there is an attendant to check the air in your tires. I drive there. An employee acknowledges I am there. Another employee says someone will be out. I waited at least 13-15 minutes before I realized--I need to go back to work! All in all--I spent 25 minutes driving around to two different locations. I sat in my car waiting and did not get any air in my tires. I drove back to work with the signal still on my dashboard. Very disappointing experiencing at both locations but especially Union City. read more

The more I go into America's Tire, the worse the service gets. I thought maybe I just caught them on off days, but one time is an off day. Two times is becoming a pattern. I don't know if I want to give them a third chance. Last time we were here they asked my husband if the tire was not repairable what was our back up plan but the way they word it sounded like an unlikely scenario or something we would discuss further if it came to it. My husband said he would want the tire replaced. Well we pick up the car unaware that the tire was unrepairable. Now we have to pay $100s because they didn't call us to confirm. Fine our mistake. Today I walk in, stand in the walk in line, and they take the person with an appointment first. Fine, she was there a few minutes after me, but she was smart and made an appointment. They take forever with her and one other customer. Another appointment comes in 10 to 15 minutes after me, and they take her too. Now I am getting upset. But fine, she has an appointment and I don't. It has now been 30 minutes of me standing in line, and a third appointment comes in and they talk to her first. I had to speak up at that point. I understand appointments come first, but how many before I get helped? The phone is ringing off the hook, my back is killing me, and STILL no one is going to help me? Absolutely not. I am sick and tired of waiting. He did actually take me before the appointment once I spoke up, but why do I have to speak up? Why can't you have some common sense and help the customer who has been waiting for 30 minutes? I continue to buy my tires from America's Tire for their warranties and usually their service. I think I will start taking my business to a different location. They tried to do the same wording with me this time but I told them to put the spare if the tire was not repairable. They said it wasn't repairable and I drove off with my spare. But wait there's more! I went to another shop and guess what??? The tire was not EVEN PUNCTURED!!!!! I watched the guy put my paperwork and key in the bin and then had to stand in line to ask for my car...no, no one ever called my name. Appointment at 11am got here at 10:45... finished at 12:35pm. They said pull up to the red sign and wait. when I got there the journey tracker instructed me to go inside to check in. What are appointments for? While dropped in and later appointments then you go ahead of you. The lady appointment was 11:15 and she got her car service before me. Such a hot day and there's no water bottle available for long waiting customers. Updated post: I asked what's the PSI tire pressure they will put for my tires and the said what's instructed on the side of the car door. I went Saturday and was waiting for initial check in for more than an hour. I left after noticing I was still in the queue and other people who arrived after me were accommodated. It was crazy but everyone was nice. I came back with an appt upon store opening at 8 the following Tuesday, was checked in for complete set of tire replacement by Genesis. After two hours my car had not moved and worse I've noticed other people who were checked in after me were processed. I was the first customer in. Some people arrived after me and left with their cars. At this time I was annoyed and asked for assistance. Andrew helped me and double checked my car. He is very informative. From the time he helped me, I was out in 25 minutes. Michael gave me my keys pleasantly. They were all apologetic. Overall I appreciate the immediate attention I received from the unfortunate long wait for a supposedly one hour (max) experience. Everyone was apologetic, pleasant and professional. Ever since I can remember my first time hearing about this particular location back in the day - *insert old school song moment- hold, please* ... Point is - my high school boyfriend was in his car club days, and he would only trust his car to this location, which isn't far from where we grew up. I came on this particular occasion for an unfortunate situation, which was one of the lovely potholes we have here in the Bay Area (cmon, infrastructure- I mean, geeeez) that happened to magically jump out at me one day. It didn't immediately appear as if there was any physical damage until several months later, where I noted a bubble on the side of my right front tire. Basically, this puppy was ready to blow - and not in a good way. All jokes aside, I was immediately greeted with a very warm welcome, and the technician assessed to my vehicle and and I was informed this tire was not going to be repairable which is completely understandable and what I had already anticipated. My tire was one that is a special order and the gentleman who assisted me was very thorough in locating the tire at a local distributor. I was able to come in the very next day with an appointment and all went smoothly and without any hitch or unexpected surprises, as per usual. In addition, every time I come to this location, the technicians are always above and beyond with their very friendly and positive demeanor, even when faced with a hectic day and a busy line. They firmly believe in service with a smile and getting you out and on your way as quickly as possible. They've been working on my van and my bimmer for ages. One time one of the staff actually had some trouble with the grooves on my spacer and was not able to install it back. We've been coming to this America's Tire location for years now. You can make an appointment, but walk ins are always accepted, and unless they are super busy, you are in and out in 1-1.5 hours tops. If you sign up for their credit card, you receive promotional pricing for 6 months (no APR for purchases). They recently renovated, so the waiting area is clean and redone with high table tops and outlets for people working while they wait. If you ever want to come by and have someone check out your tire pressure or what you suspect may be something lodged in your tire, you can come by for free with no pressure to replace anything. They have a very bad customer service system, which puts a guests that doesn't have a appointment at a disadvantage when it comes to service. I arrived at 12pm and any one with appointment would be served first, I understand that but after waiting and finally be called they still put the customers with appointments ahead of those whom being waiting. It took almost 4.5 hours to just get my car in for the tires to be replaced. Customers that came in hours later still left first or their vehicles were serviced first. Customer service here is noticeably better than the Santa Clara America's Tire. The manager was very courteous and did what he could to help address the issues I had at Santa Clara. This shop is busy--likely because it's one of the few in the area that also does alignments--so even with an appointment I still had a long wait. The whole ordeal has been costly and time-consuming, and I still need a mechanic for a repair caused at the Santa Clara store. The waiting area could use improvement: there isn't much seating and there are no outlets for charging devices, which makes the long wait less comfortable. This is the second time I was lied to about a time frame of the estimated finish time for my car. I DID a NOC shift for work. My bed time was 3PM and woke up around 9PM. Unfortunately I was told the car would finish at around 4:28 PM OR EARLIER. So I considered waiting. Unfortunately, it finished at 5PM. This location of America's Tire is a bit further up the road from Union Square Marketplace. This used to be the go to spot for all my tire needs, but lately I feel like the service and overall experience has been a miss. On a weekend, the parking is nearly impossible, as everyone is parked all over the place even by the red zone curbs and sometimes even blocking other cars. Usually, I would not come here with no appointment, but I had no choice, as I gotten a flat tire the night before and there were no more appointments for the next couple of days. I was debating on coming to this location or Fremont and ultimately decided to come to this one, even though this one is generally more busy than Fremont, as the service was always better here in UC (or at least it was). There were 4 people at the front counter helping customers when I arrived, then it turned to 3, then 2, and then 1. At first, they were alternating helping customers in the appointment line and non appointment line, then they stopped helping people in the non appointment line and only helped people in the appointment line for some unknown reason. It took about an hour and half to get see an advisor with no appointment, even tho I was only 5th in line. It took another 2 hours or so for my car to be worked at, so I waited at a nearby cafe. read more

We came here to get the tires changed on my car. I've come here multiple times, and it always felt overpriced, but I thought at least the service would be good or at the minimum subpar for the price. I want it to be noted that before I came, my car was perfectly fine - the sensors on my tires worked and my car could sense the tire pressure readings. After they changed my tires, the tire pressure readings were blank no matter how long I drove. I went back to them, and told them the situation. They said the tire pressure sensors were broken! But the tire pressure sensors were perfectly fine before they changed my tires. They then proceeded to put in a new tire pressure sensor, but somehow as they replaced it, another tire pressure sensor was dead! How does this happen?! I then had to pay an extra $90 per tire pressure sensor ... not good service. The management team even came over, and provided not much help either. Would not recommend their services and I honestly don't see myself coming back here again .. read more

I went to have my flat tire repair on my Ford Transit early January and they turned me down instead they recommend to have my tire replaced because as what he said it's not repairable I went to the dealer and ask to fix my flat tire, and I never heard anything like what Americas Tire said that it's not repairable . They fixed it without any problem Today I went to have a tire rotation with my truck that has only 20K miles since I purchased the vehicle and they said the same thing that I need to have a new tire because it cannot be rotated. This is the 2nd time I've been turned down for service. This company is really just focus on selling tire. Now that my other car really need to have a new tire, I probably gonna go somewhere else. Went here as a recommendation despite having other options. They changed my tire and on the drive home the TPS went off. I figured it's normal since they just changed the tire and it needs to calibrate. Well the sensor doesn't go off so I take it back then they tell me that multiple sensors have low battery. I told them they need to fix it for free because the sensors were fine prior to service. They claimed it was my fault and wanted to charge me another $400 to change all the sensors. So I push back, they finally agreed to fix it for free after I had called customer service and explained the issue, especially since the tire changers never documented the low battery on original service. I understand if the sensors were bad but it's been 7 months and the sensors haven't had an issue since. Incredibly disappointing especially since they sold me on the tire insurance. 8/10 would recommend finding other options. I had reservations about going here that ended being confirmed by coming here. read more

I've been a customer of America's Tire since 1993 and have always trusted them for all my tire needs. My recent visit, however, was nothing like the honest, affordable, no‑nonsense service I've known them for. I brought my car in for a simple flat repair. A standard nail in the tread area, well within the repairable zone and well under the 1/4" limit. After the repair, they told me there was still a slow leak because the "nail hole was too big." That explanation doesn't add up. A proper flat repair requires dismounting the tire and installing an internal patch; the plug only seals the channel. If the tire is still leaking afterward, it suggests one of two things: either the patch wasn't applied correctly, or the tire may not have been dismounted and patched at all. The nail itself was small, smaller than screws they've repaired for me many times without any issue. Instead of rechecking their work, they immediately pivoted to selling me new tires, even though mine still have plenty of tread and would easily last several more months. That's not the America's Tire I've known for decades. This experience also raises concerns about technician training and attention to detail. And the unnecessary upsells like wipers, "rusty lug nuts," and it made the visit feel more like a sales pitch than a service. read more

I've always had a soft spot for America's Tire - efficiency, good customer service, competitive pricing, and their free flat/hole tire patches are a really nice perk. I made an appointment for a Monday - just needed a tire patch and I figured I might as well do my tire rotation and balancing as I was already overdue. I arrived about 5 minutes early for my appointment and ended up standing in the queue for at least a tiring 45 minutes, simply to check in. There wasn't a ton of people ahead of me - perhaps 4 or 5 people in line? By the time I got to the service rep, I was already "late" for my appointment by more than 45 minutes. The rep suggested that he should rebook my appointment close to the current time, so that I'd be next in queue to get my car serviced. I thought this was a bit odd - not sure if this is true to get my car serviced sooner or it was just an effort to boost their KPIs (performance goals) by making it seem like I arrived on time (new timeslot) and was serviced quicker when in fact I did arrive on time (original timeslot) and was NOT serviced quickly (2.5 hours from start to finish). From the time of my new appointment, it was about a 1.5 hour wait to get my tire patched and all tires balanced and rotated. Total wait time was about 2.5 hours....SMH. I expected this kind of wait time from my least favorite tire shop aka Wheel Works, but coming from America's Tire, I felt like a disappointed parent to see my child get Cs and Ds on their report card when it's typically As and Bs. Additionally, my front tires were slightly more worn than my rears. The rep said a tire rotation was not needed as better tires should be in the back anyway. I thought this was strange as front tires typically wear out faster than the rears and the point of a tire rotation is to make sure the wear is even. I'd only be able to achieve this if the tires did get rotated. General online consensus seems to be that the tires SHOULD be rotated, with some dissents. I don't know if the rep was correct, incorrect, or simply trying to lessen the load for the techs as they looked slammed that day. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, especially when I've always had positive experiences with America's Tire in the past. This is by far the best tire shop I have found in the Bay Area. I called in and they were very professional and told me there would be about an hour wait. I arrived and Johnathan was professional and courteous and knowledgeable about my car. Justin was great as well. I was scared to bring my car here at first but I did some research and they service a lot of Tesla tires so I am comfortable now. I will definitely one back I was in an out in less than1/2 hour. I'm giving a review ,on the service we had. While the tire installation itself was initially fine, multiple service issues followed. During the installation, one aftermarket lug nut was lost (front right passenger). Because these lug nuts are part of a limited set, replacing the entire set now costs approximately $500, which is a significant and unnecessary expense caused during service. Furthermore, after the tires were aired up, one valve was not fully closed, resulting in a slow air leak. To make matters worse, when we attempted to call the store to resolve these issues, calls were repeatedly unanswered or took an excessive amount of time to be picked up, which made resolving this situation even more frustrating. Due to the billing errors on the receipt which shows a different car than what was serviced, incorrect documentation, lost hardware, preventable workmanship issues, and poor communication afterward, I would not recommend this location based on our experience. read more

Air check tire pressure checks the guys get this process quickly. As in office store is well maintained and lobby is open with seating for waiting customers.
