I dropped my car off here this afternoon because my tire pressure indicator went off and when I went to add air, I saw the screw sticking out of it. I didn't have an appointment but they said I could bring it in anyway. They were slammed. Everyone had a tire problem today at the same time. So it took them maybe 10 minutes to check me in. The team there was incredibly professional, and I was particularly impressed with their knowledge on other companies products and services as I listened to them on the phone. They checked me in, gave me an update on where my tread was and when I should look at replacing my tires, and told me they would text me when the car was ready. All of that happened exactly as they said it would. When I arrived, I wanted to pay for the repair only to find they had done it for free. Wow. Here is what disappointed me... the majority of the customers in that waiting room today were so rude to the staff. They exhibited impatience, lack of appreciation for how busy they were, lack of thankfulness that this crew was able to help them out in spite of being so busy, and lack of appreciation for the knowledge and professionalism of this team. This team deserved more respect than what I saw exhibited today. Shane helped me today and couldn't have been more professional, friendly, or helpful. I didn't buy my tires here, but I will need them in the Fall and I will come here without a question. read more

This place is the worst. You make an appointment, you show up for your appointment, and you find that you can't even pull into the parking lot because there are so many cars there's not a single spot available. So, you look for a spot on the street outside and good luck finding one there. If you do find a spot on the street outside, you better pay for the parking because the city of WC loves to ticket asap. Then, if you do find parking and you get into the store for your appointment, you may find that there are dozens of people already in the store. And you may find that it takes them 10-20 minutes to even greet you. Of course they will apologize and they have excuses for it... it's practically an episode of Seinfeld "you know how to take the appointment, you don't know how to hold the appointment" It's almost as bad in concord and even worse in San Ramon. This is a tough one to rate with stars because today's 6 hour adventure was both 1 star and 4 star. Shame on me for not getting a price from Honda first so I could compare. I had a flat driving on the freeway. Only 22000 miles on the originals and lots of life still. I elected to buy 4 new instead of 2. They only had 3 original in stock and the price was higher than I cared to spend so I agreed to buy a step down brand. Lucky for me there was a wait. The charge was $750 including new wipers. During the wait I decided to call Honda. Their price out the door was $50 less but originals not a step down off brand. I y hen told Americas tire to cancel the order. At that time negotiation started. America's Tire agreed to order in the missing original to make a set of 4 and beat Honda's price. We had errands to run to kill time. Somehow the 2 hours promised for tire delivery ended up being 5 hours. I finally had it as the two original sales guys left at 1:00 and no one knew my story. I finally told them to cancel everything and I was going to HONDA. That got their attention again and they did offer a larger discount. I do have a new set of orig, tires from Americas tire and with the discounts offered more then fair pricing. The six hours total time spent was not very pleasant. Will I go back? Not Sure. It's a good company. If I had a choice to do today over? I would go to honda. Even with the discounts today was not great. After the car was ready there was one $50 discount not credited to my receipt. They had to call the manager to ok the discount. Standing a few feet away from me NOT one word. NO sorry, NO NOTHING. He ignored me like I had Covid or worse. Ask me again would I go back? NAH. Reason? Manager ignored me completely. The guys at least tried to fix the problem. Manager ignoring me not cool. read more

Service Time: 3 out of 5 Waited ~25 minutes to be "checked in" even though I showed up early for my appointment. 55 min wait for my car to be pulled from the parking lot & into the bay to be worked on. ~10 minutes for the actual tire rotation & balance service. Yes, it is the holiday season so expect more purchases & walk ins for tire issues. Would recommend that management hires additional crews. The guys in the garage were slammed, not their fault. If I could give them 0 stars I would. We had an appointment at another location and they claimed they didn't have enough jacks to do it. So they told us Walnut Creek has enough and can do it. So we called this location the Walnut Creek location and they said they could do it but didn't want to do the job as it would take too long. Excuse me what? Your other store told us you could and then you just don't want to do the job at all because it wasn't something quick. No offer to schedule us for a different day or anything like that. Just we don't want to swap the tires as it will take too long. At least come up with a better excuse like the other shop did as it came down to the fact that the other location also didn't want do the job as they claimed they didn't have enough jacks, which they did as they had 3 just laying around the shop not being used. Sad to leave this review because I was happy with the service at the time of the installation, but as usual things are only as good as they are when things actually do go wrong. Got a set installed on last Saturday, drove home, parked my car. Came back on Monday to do a grocery run, hopped into the car and started backing off. Felt something off so I stopped the car and found that the passengers side front tire had deflated and was off the rim. Called the store and they told me that I need to bring the vehicle in. This doesn't work during the week as their opening hours match my work hours so I asked if I could bring it next Saturday which was fine with them. I did however want to make sure that I'm not wasting my time and asked if they have the tire in stock so in case the tire is faulty I can just get a new one installed. They didn't and wouldn't be ordering one until I show up and proved that they needed it. So in the worst case I'll be doing 2 extra trips on 2 separate Saturdays because of their mistake. I don't have 2 trips for you to fix my problem. I know you're not at fault for the fact that I can only come there on Saturdays, but at least you could have tried to make it sure that in no case I have to come there multiple times. I get that you don't want to lose the money on a new tire but I feel like it would just be cheaper not to allow these kinds of mistakes happen in the first place. Is the customer really supposed to be at fault here and bend over backwards? Anyways, luckily the tire is still good. I paid a mechanic nearby to install it correctly this time. At least I don't have to deal with America's Tire/Discount Tire ever again. It's bad for your blood pressure. UPDATE (1 star to 3 star): I just got a phone call from the store after leaving the initial review. Michael was very understanding of my situation and told me that there's multiple ways they could have resolved the situation. Unfortunately none of the solutions were offered to me at the time of my phone call and I can't remember exactly who I was talking to. I also took some responsibility for not asking to talk to a manager. They offered me partial refund and I'm okay with that. UPDATE 2 (3 to 4 stars): I did end up going back to the America's Tire the 2nd time. After multiple days the same tire was flat yet again. The tire still seemed fine but after submerging the tire in water and some detective work they noticed a tiny tear in the tire, which was leaking the air out. They told me that it was caused by nail, which I must have picked up while I was driving home from the installation. They treated me extremely well, even if I was rude in my upset-ass-all-hell first review and did their best to make me feel like a valued customer. I got a refund for the tire even if it ended up not being their fault. In Michael's words this was because it was unacceptable that I wasn't given real support the first two times I called. I'm going to leave this at 4 stars because they did end up fixing the problem and saving our weekend plans by doing this first thing in the Saturday morning. After a frantic 10-minute walk around the house, I realize I need to put on the spare, which limits my speed to 30 mph (like anyone actually sticks to that rule, right?). At 6:20 PM my car pulled in to garage , unloaded my dogs, and turned this into a training opportunity. With two stable pups and one energetic puppy, we practiced some commands while waiting. Yes, they barked a bit in the parking lot, but it was all in good fun even learned one of the employees owned Mals. By 7 PM, I left with four brand new, perfectly balanced tires and smiles all around. The speed of service, professionalism, and genuine care from the staff really calmed my nerves about the upcoming trip with the dogs. I bought tires here a while ago and everything went great, but I forgot to review. There's a lot of construction going on near my office and I got a screw in my tire. It was a slow leak. I called on Saturday to set an appointment to have the leak fixed got here today at the appointed time. They took care of me quickly, and I was out with air in the tires. I did not realize they don't charge to fix a flat I'm very happy with the tires I bought and not having to pay to fix the flat with the cherry on top. This is a great place. read more

In mid-December, I had a low tire that was not filling up when I used an air compressor to fill it. I couldn't see a nail, but I knew something was wrong. There wasn't a last-minute appointment available, but I decided to drop in and take a chance that my car could get seen. It was a rainy day, and the store was packed. When it was my turn in line, a nice worker asked me how they could help, and we immediately walked outside and down the block to look at my tire. I told him I tried filling the tire with air, but nothing was happening, and I couldn't find the nail/leak in the specific tire. Now, my Mazda only tells me that I have a low tire, not which tire is low, so it was nice that he took my word for it that I knew which tire I was talking about. As a woman, it's always nice when a tech doesn't doubt or talk down to you. That alone would make me use their services again. So, he used a light to look at the suspect tire and almost immediately found a very small nail in my tire. He told me it would take at least an hour until they could fix it, but they could fix it. I waited in a nearby coffee shop and received emails regarding the status. The status didn't change after a while, so I walked back to the shop to get an update. They said my tire would be next, and it was. He told me the patch service was free when I asked how much. So, I did not mind the wait, given that they helped me when I needed it and didn't charge. When I need my tires replaced, I would happily go to this store to do so. Tip: The metered parking is not a joke if you park on the street. There are meter cops that pass by every 15 minutes, so if you are waiting in line or for the service to be performed, top off that parking meter big time! Nothing worse than a totally avoidable parking ticket. read more

The staff here is great, very efficient. I had 4 tires put on my vehicle at the end of April. Over the 4th of July weekend I somehow picked up a nail in the right rear. I made an appointment for a flat repair but when they inspected the tire, they found two holes. One of them being on the sidewall which isn't repairable. They were able to get me a tire the next day and made me an appointment for it to be installed. On top of that, they gave me a credit towards the new tire which was amazing. These guys are great. Their walk-in service is fast, efficient, and competitively priced with shops like Costco. Flat tires do not typically happen with notice, and so being able to show up unannounced and get same-day service is pretty great - especially with all the recent road work around the Bay shredding tires. I had an unfortunate flat on this past Monday April 27, 2026. Despite me not having an appointment, I called this location, and an America's Tire sales representative researched the availability of my specific tire, he got me in on a waiting list once I arrived with my vehicle, and worked me in despite numerous other customers who were waiting. My wait time was approximately 1.5 hour to my surprise with the replacement of two tires. The cost of the replacement tires were competitively priced compared to that of my car dealership. Went here for 1 tire because im selling my car and it has a flat so its not necessary to replace all of them nor replacing 2 because its fwd car and the rear tire won't affect my drivetrain. I told Cam just 1 tire im well aware of the dangers and how low the tread is on the others as im selling the car. Still Cam recommends over and over to replace more. No Cam i said 1, final answer, stop pushing! Finally allows me to pay for 1 tire and i say could you also put my tires to 40psi I know this sounds unusual put i prefer a higher psi than whats recommended. His response "they always do!" No they don't always do they always put 35psi. Luckily the Technicians are amazing and finished very fast also Jose was amazing and informed me the tires are low on tread and I told him the exact circumstances and he actually understood and acknowledged me unlike Cam. The cherry on top was all my tires were set to 35 psi as I specifically said 40 psi which is Cams fault for not informing the technicians. This review would have been 1 star if it wasn't for the awesome technicians in the shop. Give Jose a raise! read more

I'm so grateful to these guys. Went out to my car this morning to discover my back tire completely flat and a screw stuck in it. Swapped it for the spare and drove down to America's Tire. They fixed it within an hour even though I didn't have an appointment. When I got my wallet out to pay, they said the service for punctures was free of charge. They even put the repaired tire back on for me, then made sure the air pressure was good on all of them. I don't even know what to say to that kind of generosity and kindness, but at the very least I'll be buying all my tires from them in the future. Amazing experience. read more

I've been coming to this location for 10+ years. It's always busy, but the service has been good until the last two visits. I had my tires replaced 6 months ago. The technician broke my center cap on my rim, missing lug nut, and installed various colors of valve stems, and no one said anything until I noticed it when I got home. I had to return to change out the wrong valve stems and get a lug nut replaced. It's no big deal; accidents happen. I'm back to get my tires rotated, my spare tire replaced, and the damaged center cap replaced. According to the front desk person, I had an appointment at 9:15, scheduled to be completed in less than an hour. It's 10:15 and my truck hasn't even been touched. I know the employees are doing their best, but the standard at this location is not up to par. read more

I came here 15 minutes late for an appointment and ended up having to wait 2 hours for my car. That wasnt the problem. The problem is my car is still messed up. My tires leaking and i dont live near this tire shop. While i was there 2 people came and picked up their keys without getting their tire changed. Everybody there was pissed i dont see how you fall off schedule when you make your own schedule. Tire is also off by 5 psi. Its only suppose to be at 37. Also the wifi is extremely slow. They also said they changed over 120 tires today between 3 people. That means each person did 40 tires in a day. Thats about 1 car per hour. Slow asf. They also dont have an area to check for leaks. Very inefficient. They also do not lube the tire befor putting it on. This damages the tire its not alot but it does pull on the tire bead significantly more. And it rubs off rubber.
