our solar hot water system is only 41/2 years old. It is not doing it's job. Our gas bill has tripled and the water not as hot as it should be. We were told it's warranted for 10 years when we bought it. We called to set up an appointment but was told it was not covered. We had to pay for a service call (99.00) and parts were only covered for two years. now we have panels on our roof that just sit there. We will be looking to remove the panels and replace the system. First class customer service. Mr. Francia went above and beyond. Our system is 2 years old and began flowing nonstop. I'm familiar with plumbing but water softner systems. I was quickly brought up to speed on how the system operates, and then he began to help me find the issue. With use of photos of equipment through text messages the issue was quickly located. Now parts are enroute ro me under warranty. Absolutely impressed with customer service and help from out of state and after normal business hours. Human kindness does exist. We recently had our annual reverse osmosis system and water softener systems undergo their annual maintenance fee checks. We always use AmeriFlow. Having used them for years, we are MOST happy with them. This year, our tech was Kevin N. WOW ! Kevin N. Blew us away. He was SO courteous and professional. He was masked, introduced himself clearly and explained what he was going to do. He did his job and told me he was finished. As I processed payment, he talked with me about the book I was reading and shared conversation on his reading interests. We had a delightful (if short) literary conversation. Since my review, Ameriflow has reached out to me and apologized. We also worked out a possible solution to the problem, which was all I was looking for, and hopefully it will help the situation. I have been a customer of Ameriflow for over 6 years. We purchased our R?O system and our whole house water softener through then. They have serviced my R/O unit every year except this one. I guess for the Covid problem. To get to the problem, I have been having problems with our water. Over an extended time we have been getting soap scum buildup, water spotting and a mineral deposit around the water line in our toilets. Called for an appointment and we did get one. There was nothing mentioned about the service call charges. When the technician arrived he checked the softness of the water coming into the house and said it was fine. He then checked the outside water and said it was hard. He had no idea of what was causing our problems and did not offer to check what minerals were in the soft water that was causing our problems. He made no suggestions at all of what we might need to do. He did a run through the cycles of the softener and said it was perfect. He then called his office and let them know they did not quote me a price. He then told me it would be $85.00 for the service call. I was not happy paying that much and getting no information of what our problem was and what could be done to correct it. Now I have to get another company to check the problem and probably will buy a new unit that actually does what it is supposed to do. read more

I bought a faucet at Lowes and they set me up with Ameriflow for installation. First, it took Ameriflow the full 48 hours to call me for an appointment. Then I had to wait over 2 weeks to get installed due to their limited times. I was told the appointment was set but got no email or text confirmation that most places send. Then of course finally the day the install rolls around and they don't show. No call no nothing. I had to call them 4 times to get an answer as to what happened! They kept asking for my address, putting me on hold then I'd get disconnected. The fourth time I was finally informed I got lost in their system and they totally missed the appointment. No offer to get me the same day. Great. Two weeks wasted. At that point I felt was not professional and didn't want to re-schedule. My time was not valued. I told Lowes to find a different company for me. read more

Wanted to amend my review of Ameriflow - particularly to the issue of my water softener having issues that began immediately after they serviced the unit. I spoke with Ameriflow staff who set up an appointment to troubleshoot and repair. They came out, figured out the issue and fixed it within 90 minutes. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better response from a company. I really appreciate that they took ownership of the issue and proactively saw it through to resolution. Ameriflow installed my original water softener 4 years ago. I never had an issue whatsoever and was very happy with my purchase. I started smelling a musty odor from water and did some research to find out water softeners need to be sanitized periodically! I never had service on the water softener before so called Ameriflow. The customer service person (Nicole) was totally amazing! She spent ample time on the phone with me explaining the water softener process and how it works. The technician, came on time, explained a few things about the system, sanitized it, added salt and got it up and working. Musty smell is gone and I have soft water again! I highly recommend this company on all levels: professionalism, pricing, knowledge and customer service. read more

I had purchased a softener from Lowe's from this company and a rep called me to schedule an appointment for install. On the day to install no one shower and when I called the company they stated that an appointment for install was never made. Their customer service was poor to rectify this situation as they expect you to be available for 4 hour blocks. I had this product in my previous house and liked it's performance, just beware of the service you receive. read more

We got a R/o system and Water softener at Spencers, the install was a hack job, 3 inch wholes for 1 inch pipe, didn't clean up. right off the bad system didn't work and they had to come back out, a year later had issues and the warranty just went out and charged $159 TO look at softener, and replace filters on r/o next day garage was flooded with brine water and softener still isn't working, they want $89 to come out again to fix the problem the made, Stay away from AMERIFLO read more

Absolute junk! After less than 1 year their main ion-exchange tank developed a leak and had to be replaced. After 3 years the brine tank developed a leak and leaked brine all over my garage floor. 90 days after having that replaced i went out to replenish the salt. I found the brine tank completely dry and all the salt I had put in it was still there. I called their "customer service" and was told I would have to pay yet another $79 to have a technician come out and fix the problem they left when they came out to replace the brine tank. Thanks alot guys!! Now I have to pay again to fix the problem they left. They only have a 30-day warranty on their work--even if it was done in-correctly to begin with. read more

I bought this system because it looked like a good system AND most of all, it was made here locally by a family owned business. After a part on it fail about 6 months in, which parts do, I called to get a replacement part. I was told that they were not sure if the part would be covered and I needed to have somebody come out, which was $80. I sent pictures and talked to them multiple times about just sending the part and they kept telling me that they needed to send out a tech, @ $80. Also, you would think that if they came out and the part was covered under warranty, they would not charge the service fee to me. Like most other companies do. My overall experience was very poor. I think the company is terrible as well as the workers. I would not recommend this company to anyone. As far as the system itself. It works great. I wish the company was a good as the product. read more

We were given an orientation indicating the amount of salt to use. When the water was not soft, they charged us $80 to come and tell us to put more salt in. Manager is too hard to get a hold of. System is not the best! Terribly disappointed. read more

I recently worked with Nick Nichols. What a great experience. I shopped around for weeks to have a water softener loop installed. I called multiple plumbers and not one could come close to the quote I received from Nick. The loop install price alone was three times Nicks quote. I have found it very difficult to find a good company that will provide great product at a fair price until I found Nick. I also had them install a New Krystal Pure RO. I am very pleased with the great tasting water it provides. The crew showed up on time and did an excellent job installing the loop, softener and RO. Wow what a difference it has made already. So nice to get rid of our hard water. I was very impressed with Nick and the customer service he provided. He gave me an emailed quote for the work I wanted. He quickly answered my texts and phone calls and followed up after the installation to make sure I was pleased with the work. Ameriflow has been changing our filters for 6 years with no problems. This year we had a problem with the tech they sent. I was worried about letting them know as I was concerned about retaliation. I called, spoke with Tim the manager and couldn't have been more pleased. He listened, made sure he understood what the problem was, and assured me it would be taken care of. He also said he has a way of addressing this type of issue that ensures that no one else knows who registered the complaint. I felt this was really good customer service. read more

I dont know about glowing reviews that sound more like an advertisement than a review, but my experience is different. I have had two experiences with the company and the main reason for my dissatisfaction is t fact that they are completely oblivious to the needs of the customer. When I bought the water softener ($1000+) unit from Lowes (3/12) they refused to schedule an appointment that remotely accommodated my schedule. The times were incredibly vague (1/2 day) and made me stay around needlessly. In fact they called at the end of the first scheduled time and cancelled. On the next try the technician showed up ok and was very professional. I have no beef with the service when they show. My softener sprang a leak with water everywhere (2/13) and once again it's like pulling teeth to get a prompt or convenient appointment. Technicians good, humanity very poor. The product is good when it doesn't break. read more

I bought my R O system from Lowes 7yrs ago and Ameriflow has been my service provider for the system over the years. They have always been very professional, nice, and on time. Recently, my RO system sprung a leak. When I called them, they came out the NEXT day! Mike, technician #10 was so cool. He offered to fix it or just replace the entire system for a decent price. I have an Envirotec I bought at Spencers TV and Appliance. Softener and reverse osmosis. Had previous softener that worked good but lasted 2 years paid the same for Envirotec to replace it and it has lasted 6 years with no problems as it is a much better quality unit. I am waiting today to have a filter change for the reverse osmosis and just thought of how great they have been and how nice to give a quick "Thank you" in public. read more

I am writing this review primarily for Ameriflow's customer service representative Lori. We thought we had a problem with our water softner brine tank having algae. We called early in the morning to find out if that was a common problem as we were freaked out. Spoke to a gentleman who said he was not aware of algae problems, but offered to have a service tech sent out later in the week to clean our brine tank for an $80.00 charge. We called a plumber who came out tested the water for softness, checked the brine tank and was completely at a loss on the black film on top of the water. I called Ameriflow back, got customer service agent Lori and explained our problem and instantly came back with words of wisdom. She said the problem was not algae, but a layer of dirt from the salt and it made perfect sense. Kudos to Lori who knows her stuff and saved a retired couple $80.00. Wish there were more out there like her. read more

I only gave them one star and that's for their service guys. The follow through in the office is Terrible. They say they will do things and they never call back. I got my system through my builder, William Lyons. I had no choice and while the warranty on the house is 3 years Ameriflow only provides 1 year. While I was gone from the house for a week at Christmas my system leaked under my sink in the kitchen and I'm playing hell trying to get them to fix the cabinet and, oh by the way, they wouldn't come out without payment from me. I told them that I wanted my money back, they have cashed the check, and they are supposed to have someone call me to fix the warped cabinet under my kitchen sink. read more

Had purchased one of their filtration systems through Spencers about 10 years ago. Ran like a champ until recently so I called the number on the filter, was installed by Ameriflow. Was told on the phone that it was $120 to service the filter (recommended annually although my system ran 10 years without servicing once) but since so old may be $180 to clean the membrane. Javron came out to fix, he was a good guy and potentially straightforward but too bad works for a shady company. He told me that he could perform the service for $180 but the plastic could crack after a few years due to age. Instead I should replace the 5 stage system for $399. I asked why I wasn't told this on the phone in the first place and he said they aren't techs. I look at Amazon at 5 stage filters and they are in the $140-$200 range. Ask if he can do $299 and he calls in and says $379 is the best they can do. I say I need to think about it so he charges me $50 for the trip charge and says call back if I want it for $379. After 10 mins of thought, I decide I don't want to deal with the hassle of install so call back. I ask if he can come back and install and they say he is in the next community over (5 mins away) so I would eat the original $50 trip charge and it would be an additional $379, so $429 now. HUH? OK folks, be that type of business, I will go elsewhere. read more

I called Ameriflow to help with a few plumbing needs due to the sale of our home. I called the office and talked to Samantha. I sent the list of needed repairs and even sent pictures so they could come prepared. She sent an email and estimated 2 hours labor. No appointment was made so I had to call the office back again. Finally the scheduler talked to the estimator and a 4 hour window was scheduled at their earliest appt. 8 days later. The plumbers never arrived. I called the office 1/2 hour after the time allotted and was told they were in traffic and would be another 20 minutes. When they arrived they had no knowledge of the repairs, had no parts necessary and could not complete anything that day. I was told you office would get back with me the next day to reschedule. I waited until 1:00 pm next day and finally called them. They put me on hold telling me they were going to get a price for the repairs. When the scheduler returned, the repairs were extremely excessive! A cartridge for a sink repair would be $100 and a anti siphon valve that cost $50 at Home Depot would cost $199! Then 2 hours labor at $80 an hour. Then tax!! Ridiculous! When I asked when they could get back over to do the repairs. I was not until the next week again. Poorest customer service. The new plumber did both thing in less than an hour and parts were a 1/3 of the price. Do not use these folks for plumbing. Very disappointed on the time I wasted. read more

Bought a reversoe osmosis system from them in nov 2011. was not working correctly and placed a call. A tech came out , saw the unit, and made a call. He proceeded to tell us that the unit would be replaced with a new one the following week. The day came, 2 techs came out, removedthe unit and said they were leaving. When I asked what happened to the install, they said they were there to remove it. Spoke with Kathy, who promised a call back by 130 p that day with the hopes that someone could reinstall it. Never got a call. Waited until 4 p the next day and my husband spoke with someone who promisedthat a supervisor would call us the next day. Once again no one ever bothered to follow up. 5 more days have passed and I once again called to check the status. They stated they would be out this wednesday. When I asked about the promised return calls that never occured, the girl on the phone stated " I just spoke to my supervisor who is dumbfounded." Really???? and what the heck do they think my husband and I were. With the way the economy is and businesses closing left and right, you would think followup calls would be made. read more
