Girlfriend and I decided on not doing a fancy meal for Valentine's day and we planned to stay in since the weather was gonna turn drastic later. But upon seeing Pluckers advertise $1 wings and $2 drafts for Valentine's day, we hopped in the car and drove to this location. We usually go to the Memorial or Shepherd locations since they are closer to us but they are always packed and figured they would be on this day as well. Upon arrival, we snagged a parking spot right in front of the restaurant which had us thinking we'd get a table easily. Sadly upon arriving, we we're told there would be a 45-50 minute wait (I guess people love wings on V-Day). While discouraged, we decided on the bar hoping there would be seats and luckily we found a spot in front of a couple tvs, plopped down, ordered some beers, then placed our wing order. Like any Pluckers, you come for three things: drinking, wings, and sports. And we got all of those here. The $2 drafts were for bud light only so the girlfriend tried that while I went with my usual miller lite in the large mugs. They also have specialty cocktails here that I may try sometime (Tuesdays is cocktail special night) but I always seem to trend towards beer when I'm here since it goes well with wings. Wings here are fried, drenched in their signature sauce(s), and with ranch/bleu cheese. Go-to flavors are cajun, goldrush, and chipotle bbq. And for $1 per wing at 10 minimum order, I was in heaven with my 20 piece. As for sports, it was mainly olympics playing but due to the weather, the tvs did not have connectivity so I watched mainly the tvs that had the whole "Why people love Pluckers so much" clips on repeat. It was heartwarming hearing peoples stories (customers and employees) about what Pluckers means to them and why they love coming/working here. It seems like a fun atmosphere to work as the bartenders have good banter going. Should I be in Cypress again, I'd be glad to roll in here for my wings/drinks/sports hankering.

Now let me talk to you real smooth for a second First off this ain't your trendy burger joint. No smash patties. No "secret sauce." No potato buns trying to be fancy. This that laid back, top-down, summer breeze, "we been doing this" type of burger. So I got down to business bacon cheeseburger a classic they have 17 types of burgers. I Unwrapped this burger and it immediately showed me love. Bacon just flexing. Cheese melting like it's in love. Bun so soft it folded under pressure like me in an argument. Patty? Backyard cookout energy my brother on his 3rd beer, talking loud, flipping meat like he got a point to prove and yeah, these burgers seasoned right. Messy No trends. No gimmicks. Just straight flavor I'd be back again no hesitation. Now the fries I seen brisket fries with cheese and jalapeños and I said hold up this might be something special. They came out in a bowl looking real promising. But let me be honest with you Good not great. Fries needed a little more time too soft, not enough crunch. Cheese was that shredded melt-on-top situation I needed that smooth talk, not the quiet type. Brisket was good but for $9? Come on now, don't play with me I needed a little more love on that plate. Burger stealing the spotlight, fries just in the background trying to keep up. This is a must try spot for burger lovers trust me on this one.

Couldn't believe that I actually got to do it and Astros won the match that day, and THAT made all the difference. The erstwhile Minute Maid park was brought over by Daikin and Astros get to rule here. Watching on TV gives all the close ups, but the Texan pride songs, the motivation trumpets, the train horn when one hits a home run, that's just such a blast and have to be in person to experience it. ! It is an all natural grass field. Wonder how they maintain it. I thought it was a carpet until I was rectified. It is just soo neat and beautiful. While it is majorly a baseball stadium, during off seasons it is also used for soccer, rugby, or even concerts. The hallway is filled with pictures of legends and Baseball heroes. The floor shines like a new penny and everyone is soo very friendly and in the spirit of the game. Parking was a breeze since it was VIP entrance. But, there is a huge huge parking fitting all pockets, with some walking involved. There is a also a metro station about 15-20 min walk, for those who want to be spared the trouble of parking. Got entrance with the Gallagher club which was right next to the train (the train while hoots and moves at every home run) As soon as the wards outside check ur tickets and let you in, you walk right into a restaurant cum bar kind of a place. Except that all food, and most beverages are free, or, added onto the price of the ticket... The food bar was huge and a lot of them did not speak english, but that did not matter because those who could went out of their way to help me get only vegetarian. I stuck to salads and then loaded myself on desserts- oh the desserts ! I mean their bite size cakes, the mango pudding, cookies....and ice cream....it was just a party ! The game itself It was the first of the three matches of the Astros team. They played against Rookies. The friends' I went with explained the scoring and the rules and stuff, and pretty soon I was oohing and awwing and screaming while rooting for the home team. It was soo much fun !!! Not my first time in a stadium, but definitely my first time watching Astros, or even baseball for that matter in live action. Astros won and the stadium ruptured with screams. Ahhh...THAT ...that is what makes a live action sport all worth it. (U can book driverless cab WAYMO near the stadium The cherry on the top was I also saw my first electric driverless cab. It has a bigger board and runs in the downtown area of Houston for now. As I watched the passengers get into the car, my heart was beating fast with anxiety. THough I am aware that it is where the future is heading, a car with no driver- still gives me the chills ! .....Lol ) A great night overall. Perfect blast of a getaway with friends.

The climate control alone is a huge win, and the retractable roof adds flexibility depending on the weather. The views from just about anywhere in the park are great, and the overall atmosphere is exciting whether you're a die-hard fan or just there for the experience. One of the coolest features is the iconic train in left field--it's a fun touch that gives the stadium its own personality. Amenities are solid across the board. There's a massive jumbotron, plenty of food options (the brisket nachos are a must-try), and the facilities are well-maintained and clean. Parking can be a bit tricky and pricey right near the stadium, so it's worth parking a few blocks away to save some money and enjoy a short walk in. The only downside is the cost of food and drinks - they're definitely on the expensive side and concession lines can get long during peak times. Overall: A fantastic ballpark with great comfort and unique features. Just plan ahead for parking and be ready to spend a little extra on snacks!

The biggest red flag? Patron vehicles being towed under circumstances that appear predatory and poorly communicated. Multiple customers--including myself--were blindsided by towing while actively patronizing the business. There was little to no clear signage, no warning, and zero accountability from staff. Whether or not it technically skirts the law, it feels deceptive and hostile to customers. Inside, things don't improve. Service is painfully slow and indifferent, as if the staff would rather you weren't there at all. Orders are forgotten, drinks sit empty, and requests are met with eye rolls instead of help. You get the strong sense that customer service simply isn't a priority. Then there's the cleanliness--or lack of it. Sticky tables, dirty floors, and restrooms that look like they've been neglected for far too long. It's hard to enjoy food or drinks when you're questioning how often anything gets cleaned. Between the towing fiasco, the poor service, and the grimy environment, Cedar Creek Bar & Grill feels less like a neighborhood hangout and more like a trap for unsuspecting patrons. Houston has too many great bars and restaurants to waste your time--or risk your car--on this one. Not recommended.

Pros: - Making reservations was easy and the staff was really helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. I asked a lot of questions because I've never booked a birthday party like this at Main Event, or anywhere in general. - We got a party host to help transition and communicate with us throughout the 3 hours we were there. This helped because she kept us up to date about our rooms. She even carried our cakes, party favors, and gifts to our room while we were bowling. - She was also very sweet, patient, and kind. She never had an annoyed or frustrated look on her face. She did things with a smile the entire time! - Probably because we had a large party, but we had our meal in a private room, instead of one of those long tables. This made it more intimate, spacious, relaxing, and quiet. It also helped keep the kids together because there were 20 of them! - The sliders, fries, and fruit (we had orange slices) is the biggest bang for your buck in my opinion. The fries were amazing! They were the perfectly salted and crispy. The sliders were a tad dry and really needed condiments. However, I was glad that they had another option besides pizza. - During cake time, our party host provided a lighter and even cut the cakes for us. - We were provided lockers to store the gifts so we didn't have to carry it around during the arcade time. - The three hours of activities and food combination was the perfect amount of time. The 500 VIP points was also helpful so my boys could grab something from the store to make their birthday a little more special. My boys and their friends had a LOT of fun! Cons: - We only had one party host to accommodate 30+ people, so you can imagine how slow service was at times. She did the best she could, but I think having another person would have helped. We had unlimited drinks, so she was constantly getting our drink orders. I was so thirsty at one point, but felt so bad for her that I didn't even ask for water. - We had 1 hour of bowling before we headed to the private room for food. I think it would have been easier and better if it was fully supplied. There were no napkins, utensils, or condiments. The pizza was already there and we were just waiting on the sliders, fries, and fruit. Once the first set of sliders and fries came, we started to serve with our hands and used plates as tongs to grab the fries. It wasn't until several minutes later when the second set of sliders/fries came that tongs arrived. - Also, the party package said that there would be condiments on the side, but nothing was provided. We had to ask for ketchup twice before it came. I think to make things easier, the party host should have been provided a rolling cart to carry multiple things so she didn't have to keep running back and forth. Also, Main Event should really consider providing pitchers of water/drinks so we can serve ourselves. It would have been a lot faster and more efficient. - The math wasn't mathing when it came to the sliders. I paid for 18 kids, but we got 32 sliders. So either we got extra sliders, or we were missing 4 sliders. In the end it didn't matter because the amount of food was enough. - We are not allowed to bring outside food so we HAD to purchase extra food for the parents. We got three pizzas and it was so expensive! It was basically $60. - I did not anticipate having to pay for service fees/tip. I wasn't angry about tipping my party host. I think she did the best she could and deserved a tip. I was just surprised about the service fee and felt put on the spot about tipping. Like I said, I've never done this before. Basically it made everything about $100 more expensive. *The cons are mainly because of the price and hiccups we had during our time of eating.* Overall, the place is super expensive. $17.99 a kid is not bad in general because it includes 1 hour of activity, food, and $10 play card. However, it does add up quickly when hosting for a birthday party. I think it would be more reasonable if the price went down if you have more than 10 kids or something. What makes it incredibly expensive in the end is the service fee, tip, and having to pay for extra food. I think for the price you pay, the service could be a lot better and more organized. This is speaking in general, and nothing against our party host specifically. The place was PACKED when we went. However, since the place is gigantic, it wasn't that crowded when you walked around, which was nice. If anything, it added to the fun and festivities. In the end, my boys had a great time and so did their friends. I didn't have to clean or cook, so that took away a great deal of stress as a mom. Would I ever do this again? Probably not, unless there was an amazing deal going on.
