First off, Amici's is hands down the best Italian spot in WNY. The lasagna 9.3/10 and the Arancini 9.6/10. Every dish here is incredible and they never disappoint except with the veal parmigiana. I've tried it three times and want to love it since it's my favorite Italian dish. But this veal is average at best 6.8/10 very safe. But to their defense it's an incredibly hard dish to master and only a few restaurants have excelled at making it, Ilio Dipaulo's is by far the best veal parmigiana in WNY and Chef Vola's in Atlantic City is the overall #1. For veal lovers it's an incredible dish when cooked perfectly but just an average experience when it's not. I'm only posting this in hopes that Amici's can master this dish like they do with every other option on their menu. 5/5 stars for Amici's as a whole but my fingers crossed for a better veal parm in the future.

Amici Ristorante in Kenmore, NY is a longtime local favorite that's now even better after its recent renovation. The updated interior feels fresh and inviting while still keeping the warm, cozy charm that regulars love. The food continues to shine with classic Italian dishes and great service! Whether you're stopping in for a family dinner, date night, or special occasion, Amici's delivers comfort, flavor, and consistency. If you haven't been in lately, now's the perfect time to come on in, enjoy the new look, and savor some great Italian food right in the heart of Kenmore.

Another wonderful dinner Amici! We arrived around 5pm, before the dinner rush, and were seated quickly. Amici was lovely and cozy with a wonderful wait staff. What we ordered: Arancini - $12 Eggplant Parmigiana - $26 Braciole - $32 Follow @summersgoodeats on Instagram and TikTok for more food reviews and recs!

I made a reservation for a large group of people on a Saturday night 2 weeks ahead of time. I asked about seating on the patio and if it would be too hot outside. The owner called me back promptly and he told me that there was a large fan that cools the patio off nicely and we should be fine. It was not fine. We were so uncomfortable being it was an extremely hot day but not much we can do about the weather. Service was, I'll shot it straight, awful. So slow!! Our dinner reservations were at 6:30pm, we Sat prompt at 6:30 and the server came to the table for our drink order 20 minutes later and we left at 9:15pm. The server was kind and apologetic for the waiting for service and food but it was really bad. Let's get to the food. Pasta dishes were small portions. The chicken Marsala and specials that evening were fine. Nothing to rave about. I hate writing reviews like this but it's important for owners to know. The service didn't ruin our evening by any means but I just wish it could have been better.

From the moment that you walk into this restaurant you can start enjoying a wonderful and welcoming environment. From the host to waitress to everyone who works there... all of them were super friendly and very nice. The food was amazing to the point that we discussed during dessert what we are going to order next time. Amici is our favorite Italian restaurant in town. We can't wait to go back!!

We love Amici, and have for many years. It's a real gem in the village of Kenmore - cozy feeling but elegant with a large variety on its menu, exciting daily specials, and a great wine list. Since I've had to go gluten-free, they've remained one of my favorites, as they have gluten-free lasagna and gluten-free pastas that can be used for any of the dishes. It's something I really appreciate. Their dessert menu usually has something for me too. You can tell that the staff here love working for this family, it shows in the always-excellent service. This is a hidden gem in Western New York that you must check out.

On the menu for this visit: Panzanella Salad, a half-pepperoni/half-sausage pizza, and Affogato. The Panzanella was beautiful in presentation and tasted just as good. Firm, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, red onions, crostini, and dressing that all complemented each other perfectly. Refreshing and delish! The Affogato...AffoMazing!! Such a simple combination: espresso and vanilla gelato/ice cream, but goodness!! Sometimes simple is all you need. Now, the : At first, I was getting ready to be unimpressed. But NOPE! I haven't been to Italy in a little while, but this pizza was freaking close, if not spot-on, when it comes to authenticity! Brick-oven baked with a light crust, chunky real tomato sauce (forgot to ask if it was home-made), just the right amount of cheese, and REAL pepperoni and sausage. And did I mention...very little grease?! The taste was light, fresh, and not overly filling, just right! Overall, Forno Napoli was a fantastic choice! Great atmosphere, warm service, fresh food, and pizza that brought back a little taste of Italy. Definitely worth a visit! Ciao

I took my son there for lunch the other day, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who as it turns out, I knew from his previous restaurants stops. I hadn't seen him in about 15 years, but I recognized him instantly. Great service, polite and courteous staff, and delicious fresh food, are my initial reactions. I was surprised how good the San Franco pizza was! I also had a bowl of Pasta Fasola which was outstanding. I live in the city of Buffalo between Delaware and Elmwood and there are many pizza places around here, plus, I grew up on Bocce on Bailey pizza. However, the Forno Napoli pizza now ruins all others for me. I have never been to Italy, but I imagine this is what pizza is like there. Authentic and fresh. I'm taking all 3 of my kids back there tonight. Trying their salads and pasta as well. This place was very busy on a weekday at 4pm, so it is not a secret. It is also not cheap. You are paying for the quality of the food, and it is worth it.

The dishes are lacking...seasoning, depth, that certain something that makes the value. My cheeseburger was overwhelmed by the bun, the cheese was, IDK, was there even cheese? The beef was dry, like there was not a drop of fat in it. Thankfully the crispy fingerling potatoes took up the slack. My companion ordered the carbonara, and it was a funky grey color. Also the sauce was thin and flavorless. I couldn't put my taste buds on what was wrong with it until the next day. I finally realized there was no egg on the dish. I had heard good things about Naked City Pizza, so I decided to take a break from my usual spots and give them a try and overall, I am very pleased! I called around 4:45pm on a Saturday and a gentleman took my order. He was courteous and friendly and said my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, easily finding a parking spot in their large parking lot, which is a mixture of pavement and dirt/gravel. Walking inside the shop, it's similar to most Buffalo pizza shops where it's relatively small and really about take-out, not for dining in. There were a few young guys working the counter and ovens, they were able to get me in and out quickly. From the limited time I was inside, the workers were friendly enough, they seemed to get along well. For dinner, I ordered a Quarter Sheet (6 slices) Steak and Three Cheese pizza but the gentleman who took my order over the phone put my order in as a Half Sheet (12 slices). They realized the mistake too late and gave me the Half Sheet for the Quarter Sheet price! I really do appreciate that, it's great customer service. I have half a pizza leftover for a quick dinner now! Naked City Pizza nails the traditional Buffalo-style with a doughier undercarriage and nice crispy, chewy crust. The dough was airy but it didn't seem as "heavy" as many other pizza places around Buffalo, but maybe I was just REALLY hungry. haha For their steak pizza, it seems like they use thicker pieces of steak, which was great, definitely felt more substantial. Most steak pizzas come topped with banana, hot, or sweet (bell/green) peppers, but Naked City uses roasted red peppers, which are sweet and have a more distinct flavor and softer texture - I was impressed, this paired VERY well with the other components! Along with them, there's also onions on top. The three cheeses used are cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, which of course are delicious. In addition to the roasted sweet peppers, the other component that I was surprised by was the white garlic sauce as the base. Steak pizzas around Buffalo vary from using a "hoagie oil/sauce" to just a huge variety of cheeses, no base sauce of any kind. I tend to stay away from white sauce on pizza as it's usually associated with garlic (I don't want my breath to be too... fragrant haha), but this wasn't too garlic-y, I didn't feel like I was "wearing it". I enjoyed the added creaminess the white sauce added to this pie. After six slices, I stopped myself and put the other half in the freezer. The six slices I had were delicious and filled me up nicely - The squares were cut nicely and they were plenty filling with tons of meat and cheese. I have a feeling these will reheat in the oven nicely. Looking at the prices, I was impressed too with how affordable Naked City Pizza is! All-in-all, I'm glad I gave Naked City Pizza a chance and had a great experience! The staff are friendly enough and quick, it's easy to get in and out quickly, and the pizza is traditional Buffalo-style so it's on the heartier end while being affordable. I look forward to ordering and trying a red sauce pizza from Naked City Pizza to see how sweet their sauce is.
