The food and service are pretty good, but there is no effort to control the noise level in the establishment. When we arrived a very large party had clearly finished their meals but remained in the restaurant yelling at one another across and between tables. We complained to the waiter who clearly understood the problem but management did nothing to deal with the problem. Shouting to the person immediately across the table meant even louder shouts to people at the next table. We will not be back. read more

Good tasting food, decent prices, and great services. HOWEVER, eat at your own risk. I developed a very serious bacterial infection immediately after eating here. A month later I am still having to fight this infection as it is antibiotic resistant. Enjoyed an early dinner but later on that evening and 4 weeks later I experienced this illness. The bacteria I ingested is easily and often transmitted in food. Will not ever eat here again. They are currently being investigated by the health department. read more

Staying at the Hampton and decided to try for lunch. What a nice surprise. The place is tastefully decorated and very clean. Our server was prompt and very attentive. Our table had the steak fajitas and the taco salad. Both were seasoned well and the chips and salsa were fresh and tasty. We will return during our stay. We ate here last night (08/26/13) and we found this restaurant via Yelp. Someone from CA really trashed this restaurant and that almost discouraged us until we found that this Yelp reviewer has trashed many Mexican restaurants. Hmmmm! So we decided to try Amigos and all we can say is that some people from have no idea what good Mexican food is or are not that familiar with varieties within Mexican cuisine (e.g. ground beef, also referred to as picadillo is commonly used in Mexican cooking while shredded beef, chicken or pork are also commonplace). We are from Chicago, a city that in globally known for GREAT food from almost any ethnicity or culture imaginable. The Mexican/Hispanic/Spanish food is amazing and we are uber-critical of poor quality food and/or service at restaurants. This is our review of Amigos... Fresh, warm chips and salsa provided immediately upon arrival. The salsa had a wonderfully fresh taste as well as that "slow burn" that we love. Guacamole Mexicana prepared table side - 5 stars and outstanding. And you already have the wonderful, warm chips! My husband had quesedillas which he loved. I had the chicken flautas. They were excellent but maybe a bit overstuffed with chicken but still an exceptional presentation. The servings are HUGE so leftovers are guaranteed. Regrettably we were on vacation so preserving and reheating leftovers was not an option. But what this really showed is that Amigos is a GREAT value for the money! We guess that can't really be a complaint. The food is very good and you should give Amigos a try. The service is attentive from the minute you walk in the door until you leave. read more

If you're in Spring Hill already, this is a good solid choice for mexican food. It's my go-to "comfort food" choice for an easy Friday night dinner with the family. It's friendly, it's reliable, I have my favorites (their fajitas offer the largest quantity of food and veggies of any other place I know, and are tasty to boot), it's always busy but never so busy that there is a huge wait, and the prices are right. There are other places I would probably choose for a "destination" meal or some unique menu, but if you're looking for a quality family dinner in Spring Hill, it's hard to go wrong with Amigos. read more

I always see this placed packed so my wife and I tried it out. First impressions were great, service was amazing and unfortunately that's all the good I can say. The salsa tasted like pizza sauce straight from the can with peppers and onions added in. Very sweet with a strange after taste. The chips were stale so I can't comment on what they would really taste like. Ordered a chicken chimichanga with rice and beans, my basic dish I eat at any mexican restaurant. The beans were bland and lukewarm with any type of seasoning. And the rice tasted burnt or some crazy after taste I can't identify. The chicken was full of gristle which set the tone for a bad meal. It's shredded chicken with gristle, a first for me. The chimichanga she'll was decent but not mind blowing. I plan on trying this place again in the future, everyone has an off night but I wish I wasn't there when it happened. Back to Panchos I go until I brave this place again. First time patron and will not be back. Terrible customer service. Our bill had the incorrect price for my entree and when I politely asked for it to be corrected my server argued with me that since he didn't know how to fix it in the computer I would just have to pay the higher amount because his manager was not there! What?! Then a second employee came over to join the debate and tell me the price was what was in the computer regardless of what the menu said. Never once did either apologize for the error or offer to help solve the problem. Just argued. Amigo's you literally lost a customer over $1.00. Your employees need training. read more

Good variety of Mexican dishes. We decided to have dinner here while shopping in the area. There are many choices on the menu. I ordered a combo with a beef enchilada and a taco. I would have preferred for the ground beef to be a little less dry and have a little more seasoning but it was OK. My husband had a dish with mole sauce because he gets excited when a restaurant has something with his favorite Mexican sauce. He was disappointed with the sauce because their version was too salty and wasn't close to any other mole sauce he has had. The service was great and the food came out really fast. We stopped here for dinner with a group of 5. They were playing bingo which was a fun take on the trivia night. I ordered hueves rancheros but the eggs were so over cooked I only ate a 1/4th of them. My daughter ordered a chicken burrito and gave it a thumbs down. My husband said his fajitas were good and he liked the spicy salsa. I thought the chips were soft not crispy like I like. Service was good, greeted just after walking in of course no line but the manger not sure came over introduced himself, showed me a seat. Jose my server was friendly and attentive, took my drink order for a frozen margarita, Tasty. He quickly brought chips and salsa a Mexican restaurant staple. Chips are chips as long as they are fresh and they were. Not being a cilantro fan, The salsa was AWSOME just a hint of cilantro and very good flavor and not to much heat. The 3 chimichangas was a home run, the seasoning was just enough to enhance the flavor of beef, chicken and shrimp. I had it with beans. The portion was just right. This evening, my family not only experienced disappointment but also very bad customer service, imo. We placed our order at 6:52 pm on 8/13/20, and per the order confirmation was told it was estimated to be ready at 7:32pm (about 40 min). Understandable. We arrived at 7:45 ish and walked in to get our order only to be told we would have to wait another 10-15 min. So we did, but it then proceeded beyond that and we did not receive our food until 8:15pm. Thus now making the food 45 min over the original time we were estimated to be ready. What I do not understand is why no one called to let us know the first time it would be later than expected? I understand 10-15 min or so, but 45 min later? Even after being told it would only be another 10-15 min from when we got there is not good customer service. Had we known the order would have been that late in the evening, we would have just cancelled it all together. And gone elsewhere. When we brought up our issue inside, the person we spoke did not seem to have a care in the world and really didn't seem bothered by it and thus just passed over it. Which upset us even more. We have been going to Amigo's since we moved here last August, and I will say after tonight, we will not be back. I am very disappointed in the service received. I would "think" with everything going on right now, everything would be done to keep any customers they can. But it also seemed that tonight's little "trivia night" with not a sight of social distancing being followed and an extremely packed house, was way more important than their other customers. read more

Took my family there and after getting the order wrong they brought out our food without silverware or shells for my or my wive's food. After waiting 10 minutes watching our waitress laughing with people at the bar I got up and told the host we wanted the check and to go boxes. I handed the lady the tab and my card and my wife stated that we would leave my untouched meal there and asked her to take it off the bill, and midway through the conversation the girl hurried up and swiped my card instead of offering a solution. Another Mexican restaurant gem in Spring Hill. A cheap option with a great atmosphere with no musicians on the weekends. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like song covers being blasted in my ear while I eat with family and friends. They have a trivia night which is a good spin to your ordinary Monday dinner. Amigos did a pop-up at my office building for lunch. I didn't realize until after I had left that they overcharged me for my meal. They charged $10 for an item listed as costing $8. To make matters worse, it wasn't even good. A coworker got a taco salad and they didn't even put lettuce in it. I had to ask for lettuce to be put on mine, the guy just put meat and rice in the bowl then a sprinkling of lettuce on top after I asked...hello, it's called a taco SALAD, lettuce is kind of important. My companion and I found Amigos by accident, while looking for another Mexican restaurant. We are so glad we did! The short version: really great food for a really low price, and service with a smile. A few details: The service was fast and friendly, and when my companion wanted something not quite on the menu, they were happy to oblige. The salsa was really tasty, and the chips were warm. The chicken soup was fantastic, and for $3.50 it was enough for a meal. While the black beans were under-seasoned, and the ground beef in the enchiladas was a little salty, I would come here every week if I lived nearby. You get way more than you pay for. read more

First time I got some tacos from here as a quick dinner pick up for my husband because they had fish tacos. The wait for the pick up was longer then expected but they where very apologetic and nice about it. My husband liked the tacos, I tried some and really liked the tacos, and so tonight I decided to get a full dinner for my family from there, to go. We don't eat the sides really so I chose to get the most of items from the A la Carte part of the menu. All I got was fish tacos and rice. And I was charged $11.99. Not impressed. Also, Beef and chicken tacos where supposed to be $4.25 for 3, but was charged $5.97 for 3. When I asked about it, the gentleman checking me out simply said they changed out their menu 4 months ago. I said they should have updated their online menu and he said they did. Well the prices on the online menu do not match what they charged me. I didn't like that one bit. Its not the $10 I mind, it is the way they handled it and didn't seem to care that their menu page is not showing correct amounts. At the end, the fish tacos where great, everything else was very soggy and because of this everything was just falling apart. Kids had a hard time keeping their food together and where just frustrated. I did not enjoy my second experience there and probably won't be back any time soon. read more

So the service here is on point. These guys are on their job and........they speak English! The manager or the guy that seems in charge is friendly AF! He shakes your hand when you walk in and it feels like he is genuinely happy to see you. The food is as good as any of the other Mexican places around. Nothing is extraordinary good, but the service sets it apart from the others. I'm not sure what Nashville loves Chuys so much but this place is waaaaay better and these dudes are on their job.
