Way too expensive! They're nice and do a good job, but they charged $20 for brow threading and $40 for brow tinting (which I only do very lightly because I don't want much of a tint, just a shade darker). Plus tip. Won't be back. read more

I had a gift card here and figured I'd use it to get eyelash extensions ahead of my birthday. Horrible experience, don't waste your time I made an appointment online through the website (even received text confirmation) for a Saturday morning. Upon arrival, there was no record of my appointment and the two staff seemed a bit bewildered. I asked if I should come back later and they said they'd take me. They led me to this back room and she started working on my lashes after I showed her some inspo pics. Less than 5 minutes into the session, she kept leaving to go help someone else and would be gone for 5-10 minutes at a time, and I'm just laying there not knowing what's going on. This happened about 4 times. I don't think they wear gloves so I have no way of knowing if she was touching other things/people before coming back to work on my eyes - I was pretty unnerved, but there wasn't much I could do because I couldn't see anything since the stuff was already on my eyes. Finally after about 2.5 hours, she was done with my lashes. The look was ok, but idk what kind of lashes they use at this place. They felt like straight up plastic, and you could see the bits of glue stuck to the lash line, even days later. For a service that they charge $190 for, I would expect better. This wasn't even worth the difference I had to pay after the gift card. Maybe they're fine for eyebrows, I have no idea. But don't come here for lash extensions. read more

Do not even think about trying their new services. They don't know what they're doing... I've been coming to this place regularly for brow threading and it was fine, they did the job. However, I recently tried their new advertised eyelash lift and not only did they burn my eyes horribly while doing it, but my lashes where not different than when I arrived. In fact, they're worst, because they're falling now. This is not my first time doing eyelash lift, I know it doesn't hurt and I know that my lashes are not stubborn... Get better training if you're working with people's eyes, before you get sued... read more

Ruwaida is excellent! She's great! Like the total package and my go-to person now for anything hair related! I feel very happy and pretty with the great work she did to my hair! With the restrictions in SF because of the pandemic I have to go to San Bruno to get my hair, thread and some things done. I have been looking online and luckily I found Ruwaida with a lot of wonderful reviews talking about her great work, years of experience and her clients following her wherever she goes. She is now in Amiri Salon Tanforan San Bruno (a clean, simple and welcoming salon that feels pretty spacious like the one in SF). I booked on a day that she wasn't available but I did get my eyebrows done with one of the Staff and it was pretty good! (I forgot her name but I think it has an 'S' in it) and then I met Ruwaida that same day too, I told her that I wanted my hair cut and she said she could help me later that day but unfortunately I have to do something that afternoon and decided that I'll be back next time. I noticed that Ruwaida was very nice to walk-ins too, she answered their questions well and told them when they could accommodate them when they're busy. With what I've seen, I definitely came back and scheduled again with Ruwaida to help me with my hair because I was already impressed by her with that few minutes I met her! Fast forward to when I finally got my hair done with Ruwaida - I booked for a brazilian blowout and a haircut on a 2pm. I came in early around 1pm but they were on lunch, Ruwaida was very welcoming and kind, she said she'll help me with my hair and she could eat later on. Ruwaida was very honest with what I would expect from a Keratin Treatment (if you like it more shiny and less frizzy) vs a Brazilian Blowout (less frizzy and with more of the straightening effect) and told me the price range for my hair and how much they charge if you get a haircut after. I picked the brazilian blowout because I've never done it and I really wanted to try it and it is less pricey. The brazilian blowout took 2 hours+ with the haircut. Ruwaida was very calm, gentle and thorough with what she was doing and everything was done in a clean manner (disinfecting and all that stuff) and we were able to talk just right about some things too! The client who was booked for a hair color after me gave her good glowing reviews, she said she always comes back for her and also gets brazilian done for several years and that I would like the effect it would have on my hair. (She was so right!) Ruwaida was really meticulous with the entire process and did my haircut after the brazilian. She asked me to stand up and hold a mirror to see how long and how my hair would look like after cutting and double checked everything again. (I decided to keep my hair color and keep everything straight and long so it would be easy for me to cover up everything at work and if there are any further restrictions or lockdown again it would be easier for me to maintain). TLDR: Ruwaida is amazing! Very professional and does a great job of getting what you wanted done. She made me feel comfortable, was calm and treated everyone in a very pleasant manner. I'll definitely be back for her and maybe for a color next time! (I've seen the hair color she did with the other client and it looks so good!) *Thank you so much for everything that you do, Ruwaida! Ruwaida will spends the time to find out exactly what you want to do to make sure your hair looks just how you'd like it. She has a talent for fixing problems, too. When people are upset about a mistake with their hair, I always refer them to Ruwaida because she'll fix the problem and make people truly happy with how they look. She is careful, friendly, charming, courteous, and always have a smile on her face. Right now, she only works on Sunday. I hope she will be working full time soon. I have been a long time customer since the shop was located in San Bruno Town Center to the kiosks at Tanforan Mall and to the new Amiri salon also located in Tanforan. I got a haircut there and wasnt 100% satisfied. When i first asked the price to compare to jc penny the lady was pushy saying jc penny isnt as good and you pay what you get which is true. She didnt follow the picture i wanted and cut it little too short then what i wantwd and what the picture showed but im not the type to complain as i work in the sevice industry so i know whar its like to deal with picky bitchy people. After she was pushy on me buying their shampoos. Nice environment but wont come back again. A haircut she said is normally 80$ but charged me 60 when I can go to a local mom pop shop in the neighborhood and pay about 20. If you're a bougie type thwn this is perfect for you but an average person living in the bay the prices are outrageous and who can afford it. read more

I had an appointment for highlights at 1pm the lady Windy was so slow and I got the impression that she didnt know what she was doing anyways I didnt leave the salon until 11:30pm that nite I was very upset. She also quoted me $250 but as she started working on my hair she started adding on more money so now my total was at $550 this place is a rip off I would not recommend going there for your hair needs at least. The whole time I was there from 1pm till 11:30pm they barely got any customers and now I see why. The manager was sitting down the whole time on her phone soeaking in her language which I happen to understand lol I heard her talking about her 2 employees on the phone and I feel thats very unprofessional.
