This is my go-to Amiri Salon for eyebrow needs. I find I get good service on Fridays. I like Sabu, but I can't always catch her there. She takes her time and has a warm disposition. All the ladies are satisfactory - great. My big thing about getting threading over waxing is I want the clean*personalized look. I get that here 9x out of 10. I made a same day appointment for a wash and dry. There wasn't a receptionist so I approached someone after they were finished with a client to let them know I had an appointment. Both stylists were very polite and the place was clean and tidy. It wasn't a great blow dry and style job, but I was able to make it a little sleeker with a flat iron I traveled with. I recommend it if you're visiting since it's easier than doing your own hair in a hotel room. Prices were very reasonable. read more

I used to be a long term member here. I went in person to cancel my membership and was told it would be pause. This was in March. I got charged in June, for which I called and left a few messages asking for a refund. No reply. No one picked up. Someone responded in... August, telling me they'd refund me for June and pause my membership. I tried to cancel but they insisted that I would not get charged. They didn't do that. Instead, they charged me again in September?! What is going on? I will never be coming back here once things open up again. read more

do not get your hair cut at this salon! the stylist ignored my wishes and cut over 11 inches of my hair off! she layered it which i did not want and the bangs went behind my ears it was a mullet they charged me 180 dollars for a cut and condition but she didnt even wash my hair just sprayed something on it and called it good would not give me a refund when i came in the next day she butchered me very rude unprofessional and hateful i bet the stylist does not have a licence beware read more

Rude service! Have a membership for threading service. For which they handout store card along that has membership number on it. During checkout, I guess it's their policy to check that number against ID card and that's fair. What was ridiculous is starting off with an opening statement that I'm prolly using my friend's membership card and hence wants to check my ID! If I could give this institution negative stars I absolutely would. Not only will I never come back to this salon, I am weary of ANY salon after my experience here. I sincerely hope no one else has to get their hair cut at Amiri Salon. I booked an appointment for a cut and color here ahead of a vacation. I brought photos of what I wanted with me. The hairdresser looked at the picture for a split second, grabbed all of my hair, and cut it 6 inches in one cut without a word. She then presented me different hair colors. Now, I have never had my hair professionally colored, so I told her what I wanted (a honey brown) and she agreed that the color I chose would produce this result. Fast forward and I have bright red hair, a cut that is 4-5 inches shorter than I wanted and completely uneven. It was not even close to what I had asked for. She hardly looked at the pictures, and did a really fast and sloppy job: she cut my hair literally slanted and left dye all over my forehead. I now have to buy boxed hair dye and redo it (because I've done a better job myself), replace my white pillow sheets (which were stained by the dye she failed to properly clean off my scalp), buy a hair straightener, several hats, and figure out a way to even out my hair. There is nothing I can do to reclaim the 6 months+ of insecurity and embarrassment I'll go through until my hair grows out to even close to the length I wanted it, replace the photos and memories of my upcoming vacation, nothing to make up for the absolute devastation I feel. read more

There was an employee standing at a station looking at herself in the mirror, and another employee in the middle of threading a customer. They close at 8:30, but I was turned away because...it takes two people and 35 minutes to thread one person? Don't say you close at 8:30, then turn people away 35 minutes from the closing time. When I asked whether they still close at 8:30, all the lady could tell me what that she was leaving after her customer. I hate giving only two stars to Amiri Salon as I have been a customer for over 4 years starting when they were a small booth in the middle of the Westfield mall. I have been so happy with the service and all the kindness of all of the ladies who work there that my heart aches as I am writing this negative review. The past few times I have been going there I have had a horrible experience with one of the ladies " Sabetha" who is unkind, unforgiving and down right fake. Not only her work does not add up to lovely ladies such as Anita, Sona,Rajanii and all of the others, but also her attitude is quite a turn off. My recommendation is that to go there if you need the services but avoid this lady Sabetha . She seems too unhappy and very harsh. read more

Anita did a great job on my brows! She is extremely thorough and made sure they were perfect. She started with sanitizing the chair and asking me how I wanted my brows. After expertly threading my brows, she cleaned it up and offered me toner to calm the redness. She reinspected to made sure she got everything and asked me to check as well. I have been trying to cancel my membership which I paid in full amount before corona virus. I could not use services because the mall had been closed for months and I had to move during this time. There are 2 locations in the mall. Like some of the other people said, the location is great, easy to get to in the Westfield mall. But they are pretty lacking in the customer service. I went to the smaller location first where there were 2 people working and 2 people ahead of me on the list. Soon 2 more people came in and signed up. One person had just ended her shift and said that she could take 2 of us that were waiting to the other location. I thought that would be great assuming there wasn't a line! We walked over to the other side of the mall to find the larger location had a wait longer than the other! I was so annoyed and they had us re-sign up on the list, which the other woman took the opportunity to butt in front of me. Convenient location and no wait but definitely lacking in customer service and skill. Came here around 6:15 pm. There were 3 staff and only 1 working on someone. No one greeted me and after I asked for someone I was told to sign in on a sheet. There was no one waiting so this was odd. The lady who did my brows kept disclaiming she could not shape them because my natural brow doesn't have enough arch. This seemed like a really lazy excuse even before starting. The staff at Ziba and other places have always been able to give me a high arch. After asking her to fix it several times and seeing no difference, I eventually gave up and realized she was not capable or skilled enough. $15 for their location is not bad but for no shaping, I could have definitely cleaned my brows myself.
