Another delicious meal from Amirs! I will go out of my way to get takeout from here. They did a little refresh inside and it looks so nice! Lots of seating available if you want to dine in. Service is friendly and your food is ready fast! Love their lamb/beef shawarma and their pita is so fresh. I love getting the plates with your choice of protein and 5 salads. There are lots of yummy things to choose from. I always get the beets, eggplant, carrots, tabouli and either baba ghanoush or hummus. All of them are wonderful. It's a really big plate, so you may have some leftovers. I recommend getting a side of garlic sauce and hot sauce! Speaking of hot, the carrot salad has definitely gotten HOTTER. Holy cow. The cashier warned me it was spicy, but it was next level. I am spicy food fan, but this had me sweating! If you need a delicious Mediterranean food fix, Amir's is where it's at!

my food. Everything is mentioned in my review.

I have been going to this Amir's Falafel L.A for many years now. I was in the mood for some Mediterranean food so I got up and left. Walked in and was greeted by Miguel and placed my order. I wanted to get their Specialty Combo plate that you get to choose what you want. It comes with your choice of meat, Basmati Rice, Pita Bread, and 4 different salads. I wanted to try the Carrot Salad, and by hearing word of mouth that the Carrot Salad was VERY spicy... so after trying it, my tongue was burning. They were right. I went with Shish Kebob, Rice, Hummus, Salad Shirazi, (Israeli salad) Beet Salad & Corn Salad. Also, came with Garlic Sauce, Tahini Sauce, & Hot Sauce. Miguel got my order wrong. I wanted and ordered Shish Kebob & their Chicken Thigh. Instead of getting the Shish Kebob, he gave me lule kebob(long ground beef) I didn't notice it until I opened my plate to cave in to my food. I was so hungry that I didn't even bring it up to his attention. I wasn't going to wait for another 15 minutes to get the right order. Other hiccups: asked for a spoon, he said they didn't have no spoon, wanted to use the restroom, he said it's only for employees; when I had a severe emergency. I wanted to order their baklava, but since mother nature was calling me desperately, I rushed home so fast and barely made it to the bathroom. Thank God, I live 3 minutes away from Amir's. Next time, I will go there with my doctor's letter so they will know how serious I had to use their bathroom. Food was VERY FRESH, DELICIOUS, plenty of portions; for the price being $23.05. Since I have been a customer of Amir's for many years, I am not going to dock couple of stars, because this is a solid 5 star establishment!! Take things seriously Miguel & management. When someone needs to use the bathroom, let THEM USE IT!! Place was SOMEWHAT CLEAN, and that's all for now.

You know when someone says, everything is so good? At Amir's, everything is soooo good. In addition to the Shawarma and Falafel, indulge in the the coleslaw; the potato salad: the humus; the tabouli, really all the sides. You'll love every bite. If you're a vegetarian, and you don't have to be, you will love the meat-free options available. Pair them all with rice or one of the soft Pitas. You won't be disappointed. It's been a while since I have visited. I miss seeing Mr. Amir's welcoming smile. The original staff is happily still there. I was happy to see them. It's a relaxing environment to eat in or take out. There is available parking. You'll be satisfied for lunch and dinner. I took it to go, and I have yummy leftovers. I'll visit again soon.

FOOD tastes fresh! They give you a lot too. Beware of the Moroccan carrots as they pack a spice! The setup is like a buffet style where you tell them what you want. SERVICE was easy since it's an assembly line process. INSIDE has a tv that was playing soccer. This is a second location apart from another location they have at the mall. Apparently they've been in business in general for many years. The parking lot is shared with a nice looking weed dispensary and a Subway. It's on a corner location. I'd eat here again.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Service is quick , courteous with a very welcoming ambience. The grape leaves are quite flavorful and filled beautifully. The chicken shawarma sandwich was stuffed with pickles, cukes, tomatoes, and garlic sauce. The chicken was plentiful and well seasoned. The falafel sandwich was one of the best that I've ever had. The pita itself was warm and tasty in both sandwiches. I can't wait to return!! Parking is available in the small lot in out front.

Wow the most colorful meal I have had in a while! Great side dishes including pickles, baba ganoush, potato egg salad, cabbage and green salad. The spicy chili eggplant on the side was too hot for me unfortunately, yet the falafel was prepared perfectly.

I've been here several times now and usually order the same thing... Amir's Special plate that includes any 5 sides you choose. I have ordered the following many times now: Chicken Shawarma (includes falafel) Basmati rice: Good Moroccan carrots: Spicy and delicious Coleslaw: Good Corn & Dill salad: Excellent Babaganoush: Good Potato salad: Excellent The guys working there are always friendly and hospitable. The only downsides for me is there is no restroom for customers and the parking lot. The lot is spacious, but the layout is not designed well.

I absolutely love Amir's Falafel! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. The falafel is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside--hands down some of the best I've had. The hummus is creamy and delicious, and the portions are generous. Amir himself is incredibly warm and welcoming, and you can tell he takes pride in his food and his customers. The service is quick, the prices are fair, and the whole place has a friendly, neighborhood vibe. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or picking up lunch for the office, Amir's Falafel is a spot you can always count on. Highly recommend!

Located on the corner of Colfax and Ventura Blvd. Limited parking that is shared with other businesses. I took my client here since she's craving for some Mediterranean food. Upon entering, she already has some second thoughts. We still sat down and looked at the menu. Then she decided that she doesn't want it. She prefers to be waited and served. So we left and went to look for another place. *This place is like the Tel Aviv restaurant. You go to the counter, tell what you want. Then you can point at the array of items that you wanted to add. Prices are competitive. Indoor seating is available. A few tables but not spaced well enough.

Sooo yummy but dang it was expensive! The man behind the counter was so very sweet. The service was great. I'm Sorry for only giving the 4 stars but it's pretty hard for me to spend 40 bucks on a falafel sandwich and a platter

Order a small party tray of grape leaves (dolmas aka dolmeh), one of my favorite Middle Eastern dishes. They have some amazing catering menu options. I wasn't sure if the grape leaves would be vegan and vegetarian friendly as they can traditional be stuffed with a variety of things including meat, but they have a very extensive and detailed menu, especially online, including indicators in the form of green letters for dietary restrictions (gf, v). The grape leaves were a hit, though I was surprised a lot of people there hadn't had them before or were aware of this amazing classic dish. The basmati rice, spices, herbs and marinade were so rich and flavorful that they made for an excellent holiday party intro for a lot of my friends. Ordering earlier the the day before an event, I was also able to indulge in their garlic sauce, pita and a loaded pita sandwich. The falafel pita was wonderful. Stuffed with chopped lettuce, Israeli salad, hummus, pickles, and pickles... I also added turnips of the pickled variety inside... 10 out of 10 for that amazing huge pocket sandwich. You can find Amir's on Ventura Blvd & Colfax across from the Jinky's Cafe of Studio City directly next to the Subway in the Ventura-Colfax mini plaza with Sweet Flour cannabis shop.

They had utensils, napkins, and sauces with containers while you wait. I ordered the falafel bowl and pali salad in case the bowl itself wasn't enough. It did take longer than the other orders but once I got it, we sat outside where they had a few tables and chairs. The bowl looked fresh and vibrant, so many colors and a decent amount of falafel. I tried their white and mazbout sauces on the salad. I'm glad it had spinach as it helped reduce water from seeping out. The falafel was slightly spicy since I am terrible with spic r tolerance but the sauce made it very balanced. I also got to try someone's fries and it was super delicious, the spices they used on the fries were flavorful and the fried were very crispy and smooth inside. Overall, very nice quick lunch, we arrived before they opened right at 12pm and avoided the lunch rush! Very affordable prices as well.

I finally went in today and sadly, was not only disappointed, my fantasy of Falafel King was destroyed forever. I know Benito used to work for Falafel King, but this place is nothing like it. The service was horrible. The guy behind the little counter was not nice at all. In fact he was rude. And didn't like if you asked him questions. But that aside, sitting in this little tiny restaurant was not a good feeling. We were the only ones there. They have a seating area outside, I'm guessing for overflow - yet, the table and chairs were right there in the middle of the restaurant. Piled up. They didn't even bother to take it outside. Put all that aside - we get to the food. One of the best things Falafel King has were the "chips", which were battered slices of potatoes that were deep fried. These were slices of potato, they were potato chips. Thin. No "meat" on them, if you know what I mean. And sadly, they were fried either early this morning or last night. Terrible, cold, hard, no taste - not even salt. We move on the falafel - which tasted good. The taste of the falafel itself was good, but the oil dripping down my hand an face was not. I blame that on the oil not being hot enough when he put the falafel into the oil. Next, the actual shwarma is not really shwarma (like you all know it). There was no revolving slab of meat where the fat melts into the meat and makes it so so special. No. This was a little baggy of already cooked meat with no spices on it thrown on the plancha and heated up. Hard and tasteless. Very disappointing. I picked it out of my pita and ate the salad with tehina and spicy eggplant (which WAS tasty). The pita is also a thin hard pita - not the nice fluffy type. I didn't finish my food, and my friend didn't finish the food, as you can see in the pictures. Sorry to give it a 1 - but to say you have ANY connection to "Falafel King" is a disgrace. Also a side of the Za'atar/sumac fries. Fries came out first PIPING hot, crispy, seasoned perfectly nom nom. The entrees quickly followed. The lamb was so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor. And the fried chicken was AMAZING. Shwarma that is breaded with an amazing mixture and fried. Genius! The plates also came with hummus topped with whole chickpeas (YUM), dilled rice, a cabbage salad and other greens, grilled pita bread, olives and my personal favorite, pickled radishes. Could be because it was Sunday and there was a Farmers Market nearby, but still something to consider. We ordered the Lamb Plate ($26). That said, the lamb itself was just a few small pieces and it was ground. I would've preferred more actual meat Tried the rosemary lemonade too, but didn't really taste any rosemary. Just a regular lemonade, slightly sweet and sour. Also you pay upfront right after ordering. We sat outside on a small patio facing Glendale Blvd. It's a tight space, and at one point someone from the street was walking around nearby talking to themselves, which made the experience a bit less comfortable. Very creamy and not too sweet, with the tahini flavor overpowering the cinnamon. The ambiance of this spot is great - love the intimate patio area with string lights. There was a fire going in the stove too which was super cozy. One of my go to classy-casual spots!

Overall food was good. I ordered Postmates so I can't rate the service. My only complaint was that…read moreI requested no salad and they included it regardless. I just think restaurants need to be more careful because of the parasite that is spreading even though, I realize that right now the incident rate is very low. Pargiyot chicken - 5 Very tasty. Especially liked the grilled onions and roasted chilis. Initially I was a little disappointed there wasn't any chicken kebabs on the menu but pargiyot was a bunch better option! Mejadra rice - 4 Hummus - 4 Great. Just wish there would've been more Pita bread - 4 Just wanted to mention it separately because it was thicker than normal. I liked it but it was more filling than I expected. Baklava - 4 Flavor was really good. But it was served in too small of a dish such that it had to be crammed into it. It was a little awkward getting it out and eating it. But I managed.

I finally had the chance to stop in for a solo early dinner, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to my expectations. I ordered the Lule Kabob Combo ($22), which included skewers of minced beef and chicken, rice, veggies, pita, hummus, and a side salad. The highlights of the meal were definitely the salad and the grilled tomato; the pomegranate seeds in the rice were also a nice touch. However, the meats weren't to my taste--the chicken had an odd aftertaste, and while the beef was better, neither really worked for me. Adding the provided sumac and lemon helped, but I wouldn't order the kebabs again. Additionally, the hummus lacked creaminess, and the pita tasted like it was mass-produced rather than fresh. On the positive side, the portion sizes are very generous for the price point, and I left feeling full. I also have to mention that the patio is adorable and very "Instagrammable," so it's a great spot if you're looking for a photo-friendly environment. A quick note for future visitors: they are currently having issues with their card reader and are requesting cash or Zelle. It felt a little unusual to be rung up on a register only to pay via Zelle, but it wasn't a major deal. While I appreciated the atmosphere and value, the food itself just wasn't for me, so I likely won't be returning.
