Just had lunch at Joe's Falafel today and I'm already thinking of returning back! My friend and I decided to grab lunch after our workout and this was on the way to our next destination. She really found such a great place! I rarely eat falafels because they're generally too dry or hard, but I'm so happy I tried it at this namesake restaurant. Food: * Shawarma Lafa ($15.95) - came highly recommended and definitely did not disappoint. The lafa, which the employees associated with lavash, looks like pita, but it's really just a softer and fluffier flatbread, was made in-house. It is such a delightfully chewy bread. Such a hefty wrap of chicken shawarma, hummus, lettuce, tomato and tahini sauce and I astonishingly finished the whole thing. * Falafel ($1) - this deep fried ball arrived in a dark golden exterior and one bite revealed a perfectly crispy/crunchy, yet fluffy, herbaceously nutty-flavored and dare I say slightly moist interior. Wait, I'm hooked! I knew instantly I wanted more of this high-quality falafel! Ordered to go because it was that good: Shawarma Plate ($18.95) - must sub the pita for lafa ($1.50). I brought this for my partner because I really wanted him to try the food here. He demolished everything! Four Falafels ($4) - this was what I really wanted for later. My friend also ordered four more to go too! We placed our take out orders in her trunk and within a minute or two, the heavenly smell permeated the air. I was already so full from my meal, but the scent of the falafels really made me want to eat another one. Notes: ~ Hours from 11 AM to 9 PM on Mondays - Saturdays and 12 to 8 PM on Sundays ~ Casual dinery tucked into a small strip mall on Cahuenga Blvd in Studio City ~ About 13 parking spots directly in front, but there's also metered street parking as well as an underground level ~ Interior looks like it's been updated recently. The chairs look new and add a coziness appeal to the restaurant. ~ One unisex restroom that's quite spacious ~ Very friendly and quick service ~ By far the best falafel I've had in the City of Angels ~ Their website has online ordering from 11:15am - 8:30pm almost daily ~ They said they ran out of Lentil Soup, but it could also just be out of season as I don't see it on their online menu ~ Add to your bookmarks/list because this local, family-run establishment is a must visit!

This is my first time ordering from Joe's Falafel. I had read the reviews and I saw it was all very positive so I wanted to give it a try and it did not disappoint.‼. I got their special buy one get one free Gyro plate and I called Eli the manager to ask him juicy which he accommodated me turned out really good! The plate comes with a mini salad a little bit of hummus, some pita bread, saffron rice, and the Gyro meat His food is super fresh and delicious. I will definitely order again super soon

After have a great time at Universal Studios Hollywood we're very hungry after the fun and walking at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal City walk. I told my wife let's go to Joe's Falafel to have Mediterranean cuisine, the restaurant is very short distance from Universal Studios Hollywood. We arrive at the restaurant at a good time before the crowed gets in,we step and look at the menu display to see what to order. My friends tells me the food at Joe's Falafel amazing good they it's hard to choices from their menu everything is good. My wife decided order the falafel plate and I order the Chicken kabobs plate and comes with two pita bread. It took about minutes because everything is made fresh and made to order and fresh to your table. They brought our meal to our table the food looks mouth-watering delicious I took a bite of the chicken kabobs the meat was so tender and juicy and cook perfect and they marinate the chicken with spices and other ingredients they make the chicken perfect. The plate come with salad very good it have a vinaigrette dressing in the salad. The yellow rice another great side full of flavor so good and the hummus incredible good good I enjoy a good freshly hummus on my plate it add flavors to the meal. The two pita bread were surprised me it feel like bread thick this is totally new to me compare to other pita bread. My wife enjoy her falafel plate she love falafel I knowing the falafel is made fresh daily with fresh ingredients she's know how falafel taste and feel and cook perfect. Overall we enjoy the food at Joe's Falafel very much coming to the restaurant for the first time.

Delicious food!! Everything was fresh, and the meat was tender, perfectly seasoned and flavorful. The owner is so sweet, and really cares about his family business and the food quality and customer service really show that. Highly recommend. The Laffa bread is incredible, soft on top and crispy on the bottom. Falafels really good too.

Went again today to one of my all time favorites! This is the perfect pre citywalk meal!!! Got the laffa falafel as usual, and it was incredible. Hot, well seasoned, and delicious. We also got a free falafel from Joe himself! He spoke to us for a bit and made us feel so welcome. I love going to a family owned business, and the fact that they have top tier food keeps me coming back! They also got new tables and chairs (shows you how often I've been, lol) that make the experience even better. Try Joe's Falafel, I promise you won't be disappointed.

I absolutely LOVE Joe's Falafel. I think it's one of my all time favorite food spots in Los Angeles. I've tried pretty much everything on the menu and it's all incredible!!!! The chicken is perfectly juicy and flavorful, the pita is incredibly pillowy and soft and the portions are rather generous. I could go on forever. The staff here is so so kind and always makes me feel like I'm family. I've found a little piece of heaven. Who knew I'd find it in a strip mall in Studio City?

Very nice man, good food, as you see in the reviews. Service was also exceptional. Mr Joe was a cool man. Very clean space, music chill music playing.

Looking for a simple, clean, affordable place for falafels, shawarma, kabobs, gyros? Give this place a try! I had the falafel pita sandwich and it was delicious! I considered the combo but thankfully only got the sandwich as it really filled me. Service was quick and efficient. Ambiance was clean and simple. Two thumbs up!

Amazing every time. I've eaten at joes falafel a handful of times before, and each time I'm extremely satisfied. We came in for dinner and just wanted something quick and filling. That's exactly what we got. Service is always quick and friendly. I love that they are a family business also. We dined in and their dining room is always clean, spacious and comfortable. Their falafel is the best! So fresh and crispy. Their pita is also always warm and fluffy. The humus, also so fresh and creamy. We love joes falafel and I am happy that I don't live too far away!

I popped in here after an appointment nearby and wow, people of all walks of life are regulars here. You can tell that Joe is a man of the people. For the price quality ratio, I think this might be the #1 place I know of in LA to grab in a casual setting a very well done plate with everything you need. And the falafel was excellent! An incredible crust but delicate interior--I can see why this place is so popular. Excellent service and recommendations, a very modest time wait for the food to come out, and a great atmosphere with plenty of room in the dining area!

MmmmmMmmmm! Falafel is amazing! Also other menu Gyro amazing everything is fresh! I recommend get Lafa than pita! but I tried both it's both amazing !

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my meal here. The food comes out fast and is fresh. The falafel is well seasoned, the sides are delicious (especially the purple cabbage), and the pita is fluffy and warm. All the flavors work together well to make for a really high quality meal. And on top of all that, the staff is friendly and the portions generous. Highly recommend!

Definitely on our list of restaurants to visit again when we're in the area. Ordered: - Hummus Duck 'Nduja - First off, we need to take a moment for the blistered pita. That stuff was soooooo yummy might be my favorite pita I ever consumed. Hummus was also good, nice balance of flavors that complimented each other well. - Grilled Octopus - Had a good amount of chew and wasn't too chewy. Dill flavor was a bit on the strong side but I don't mind it. - Potato Flatbread - Very light and also good. - Slow Roast Lamb Neck Shawarma - Soooo tender fell off the bone so nicely. My favorite dishes were the lamb neck shawarma and the blistered pita. Family style restaurant. We were recommended to order 2 spreads, 3 appetizers, and 1 entree for 3 people. We ended up doing 1 spread, 2 appetizers, and 1 entree and I'm very happy with our decision. We were soooo full after our meal. I think if we did the 2 spread and 3 appetizers as recommend we wouldn't be able to eat the entree at all. Seems like a really popular celebration restaurant (saw many graduations). We did make a reservation and I would recommend doing that. All tables were filled when we were there, not sure how the walk in situation is. Music is a bit loud inside the restaurant but I don't think it was as bad as Bestia. The outside patio was good though in my opinion. I didn't feel like i was yelling across the table to talk on the patio.

The tagine in particular was a pleasant surprise; I almost never order chicken, I can cook it plenty fine at home. The only nit to pick: Bavel please change up the playlist; I enjoy Bad Bunny as much as the next person, but the same 4 songs were on repeat all night long.
