Chicken Shawarma Half Pita Sandwich - photo from Uber Eats website
    Chelar V.

Avi Cue has quickly become one of my favorite Mediterranean spots in LA, and it all started with a recommendation from my fiancé's best friend, who orders from here regularly. My fiancé finally gave it a try through Uber Eats, and after my first bite of their Chicken Shawarma Half Pita Sandwich, I completely understood the hype. And when you see a Buy 1, Get 1 Free deal on a sandwich this good... how can you pass it up? The half pita is filled with chicken shawarma, tomato, onion, parsley, tahini, and amba sauce, all tucked into freshly baked pita. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced, and the portion is surprisingly filling for a quick meal. I love Mediterranean food, and this has become one of those easy go-to options where I already know I'm going to be happy with what I order. We've gotten the Chicken Shawarma Half Pita several times now, and the consistency is what really keeps me coming back. It's just as tasty every time, which is a big deal when you're ordering delivery. The flavors are bright and fresh without feeling heavy, and for me it's the perfect combination of delicious and still feeling like a pretty healthy choice when I need something quick. We also tried the fries once, and I have to agree with the other Yelpers--they absolutely live up to the hype. I'm definitely looking forward to branching out and trying more of the menu, especially since Avi Cue specializes in artisanal Wagyu shawarma and clearly takes the quality of their ingredients seriously. And then there was last night's order, which honestly deserves its own mention. At 9:59 p.m., I suddenly realized I hadn't eaten dinner yet. I checked Google and it actually showed Avi Cue as closing at 10:00 p.m., but Uber Eats was still allowing me to place an order. I figured there was a pretty good chance it might be canceled, especially that late at night, and honestly, I completely understand when restaurants aren't able to take those last-minute orders. But Avi Cue accepted it, a driver picked it up within minutes, and my food arrived quickly--still just as fresh and delicious as it has been during the dinner rush. I was genuinely surprised and so appreciative. That was the icing on the cake for me! LA has no shortage of places to grab a quick bite, but Avi Cue has become one of my favorites. Fresh, flavorful, filling, consistent, and easy to count on when I need a great meal without making a whole production out of dinner. For now, that Chicken Shawarma Half Pita has my heart. But I'm definitely ready to start working my way through the rest of the menu!

High quality ingredients, all cooked well, but the seasoning and flavor fell flat. I wish they used more salt and spices and herbs.

Wagyu shawarma!! Have I got your attention yet? We were actually getting food from the restaurant next door and I spied with my Yelpy eyes this shawarma place which intrigued me so much I had to get something from here the next day. I got the aforementioned wagyu shawarma, full size, because you go big or go home! Actually, I did both since I took it to go. It didn't take too long to make my pita and it was securely wrapped and placed in a nice paper bag for the ride back. I loved all the components of the meal, from the soft pillowy pita, oh so tender wagyu shawarma, fresh veggies and 2 types of sauce. The sauce is quite potent so a little goes a long way. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant has a contemporary feel with warm toned wood, as well as blue and white accents. The price for the full wagyu pita is $25 and the half pita is $15.

This was delicious! We were so glad we stopped in to try. We had the waygu one and it was so delicious! We will definitely be back here. The sauces were so good and the pita was so fresh!

I've been hearing about Avi Cue for a while and was excited to finally try it but unfortunately it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. You can tell they use high quality meat but it was a bit too salty for my taste. The OG wagyu shawarma pita also felt like it was missing something. The fries were solid though. Overall, it's worth trying once but for me it's not somewhere I'd go back to because a $25 pita is pretty steep, for it to not be exceptional. Restaurant was clean and the service was a bit slow but friendly.

Bring cash for the $4 valet; the parking lot is small and busy in the evenings. I was truly impressed while dining there tonight. It is a cozy spot, with just two tables and some barstools seating. The food was absolutely splendid: - Moroccan Cigars: 5/5 GET THESE! They were rich and savory, with a delightful blend of spices and a perfect crunch. - Arayes: 5/5 The ground wagyu was bursting wil flavor and still had great texture. The onions and cilantro softened how savory it was, and the toasted pita was the perfect vessel. - The OG Wagyu Beef Shawarma - Half: 4.5/5 They are generous with the meat, which has so much flavor. It was tender with the fat fully rendered. The pita bread was pillowy soft amd fresh, but still had structure to hold everything together. - Fried Cauliflower: 4/5 The spice blend fits the cauliflower profile and the texture was great. The staff was hustling, non-stop, but still took the time to engage when I was ordering, answering questions and providing suggestions. It made the overall meal better and was appreciated. The location was noticeably clean, from the table tops to the floors. It made it inviting when we walked in. It is a bit of a drive, but I will find a reason to return...soon.

The best chicken shawarma you will ever get

If you live in the area or just visiting it's worth your time this is the best shawarma in the area !believe me I know. It's only 5 minutes from universal studios and it's worth the trip the chicken is really soft and juicy and I'm not even talking about the other goodies they have to offer..

Establishment is very clean, parking sucks, food smells great. The reason behind my 3 is because online items looked bigger online and it was a small portion for the price. Also the beef is a tad salted and didn't look as the advertisement. The fries are fresh and go very well with the beet sauce, the green hot sauce is better than the red, the curry sauce is something else, and I don't mean it in a good way. The price is too high for the taste. My food was ready at its pickup time so service is good.

Love this spot. I've been a fan since he was doing pop ups all over LA, way before the shop opened. I usually get the wagyu shawarma sandwich with fries, and sometimes I'll add the arayes too. The meat is perfectly seasoned and the pita is so fluffy. Honestly the best in LA. The staff is always super friendly, and there's ample seating inside. Parking in the lot is hit or miss, but you can usually find street parking. Cannot recommend this spot enough.

Clean & bright with friendly service. The private Parking is small and can be a PITA. There is street parking. I recommend the OG Wagyu beef. The chicken paled in comparison. If you try both, I recommend having the chicken first.

    Christian G.

Just good. Portions are very small for how much you pay. Paid for a half pita and the loaded fries for two people but it barely filled us up. The service was quick and the beef was tender but it wasn't mind blowing. The inside is very fast food-style as it's mostly bar style seating. If you want to give it a try, go for it! But I would say it's more of a one and done.

Been wanting to try AviCue for sometime. Got the chance today. I ordered the Fried Cauliflower and a Chicken Shawarma plate. My wife ordered the OG Wagyu Beef Shawarma Pita. She also got a Fried Cauliflower. We shared a Malbi (Cream Custard) dessert. I have to say everything was very tasty. I think that next time I'll just get the Chicken Shwarma Pita, as the plate is essentially the same. Maybe a slightly larger portion of Shawarma. But with the plate you stuff your own pita. The dessert was the highlight. It was very good. All in all a good experience

We were in line for KazuNori next door but it was taking too long so we decided to check out Avi Cue instead. This is some fancy schmancy shawarma for sure! Wagyu shawarma! Now, I will admit, it is absolutely delicious. But is the Wagyu necessary? I don't believe it is.. Rating 5 stars because it is really delicious and unique but know that given that it's wagyu, it's also expensive.

Best tasting shawarma in LA hands down!
