Worst ordering experience ever. I ordered two scopes with the rings on September 7. When the package arrived, packing slip states two scopes, two sets of rings. There was only one scope and one set of rims. The box wasn't even big enough for two scopes to fit in. I contacted the seller he assured me he would ship out the other scope with rings on Friday, September 15, and was shipping at second day air as I needed this by Wednesday, September 20. So Wednesday the package arrives with the tracking number that he sent me and there is no scope in the package , he shipped me a small bottle of cleaning solvent and a small bottle of oil which I did not order nor need. And still no scope I will be going through PayPal for a full refund ordering from this place was the worst experience I've ever had ordering anything online. My first few experiences were good until i talked to the salesman about the reloads. I explained I was buying reloads from another retailer and I had a few issues and he told me how amazing their reloads are and how he has never had any issues with them. I wanted to find a quality retailer of reloaded ammunition for range practice and I was really hoping ammo bros was it. After a bad day at the range with the AmmoBros reloads in 40 S&W, due to every 4th or 5th round jamming. I spoke to the range master and he stated the rounds were improperly made. I attempted to call Ammo Bros about this and their connection was so bad I decided to drive down to their store. I informed the salesperson and suggested it may be a bad batch( he even agreed the rounds were not made properly and would cause a jam) and simply requested an equal amount of unfired reloads. The manager who was by far the rudest one just handed me a random box and walked away. I shopped around and still bought more items even though the manager was treating me like I wanted a freebie when I only wanted decent reloads. I even offered to have him inspect my firearm and the 3 magazines I bought from them but he said no. I wont be returning to this shop due to this manager and his immature behavior in trying to solve a minor issue, such a shame when it is already hard to find a decent gun shop in this area. read more

Samantha and Amanda are really awesome employees here!! Went to crossroads gun show in Ontario and saw ammo bros. had a smith model 36 revolver, which I had been seeking for quite some time. Amanda was very pleasant and helpful, and was very patient while I took the time I needed making my decision to purchase it. Ten days after DROS and background check, I came to pick it up. I started running function tests on the revolver and noticed the trigger was acting funny. I explained to Samantha that I would just take it as is, and hope it just needed to be broken in. Worst case...smith is really good about fixing their guns, turn around is about 3 weeks though. (Truthfully a little disappointed that my new stubby is a little glitchy) Samantha jumped in and offered to get a new one in for me to check out NEXT DAY!! What great customer service. I took her up on the offer and got a call to come in the next day. The new one is a beauty and functions perfectly. Thank you for your friendly, prompt, patient, and caring customer service. Dont ever shop here online,i placed an order online for a firearm that said it was in stock. i got a email regarding my purchase and as days went by i never received any tracking or any other information. I called the number on my email they sent me for online order and that number never answers. I emailed theyre email and also no response. I called ammo bros In Ontario and spoke to KYLE and hes no help at all. He said he doesnt know whats going on with my order to just wait till they received it. Lost my business. Called twice ahead of time to try to find their new hours, did not answer phone either time. Got there at 6:15p to which I was informed at the door of their new hours. I informed the employee that the hours on both the website and google were still wrong (10a-8p) to which he said "No it's on the front page". I informed him to look at the location and hours link on their homepage. The employee insisted the hours were available on the homepage. Turns out it was, in FINE PRINT under a notification that CANNOT be read without zooming in. Honestly I understand you may not have had the time to update the page hours or to inform google of the new hours, but could they have not answered their phone? Waste of gas, waste of time, could have just gone to Turner's. Hope this helps to decipher just the kind of customer service to expect when you get there... I am a first-time gun buyer. I actually went to Turner's first before going to Ammo Bros. Wasn't sure what to expect. My first visit there was a 2 and a half hour wait, but it is understandable due to the current state of everything. I was able to purchase a gun that day, a Springfield XD 9 to be specific, at a very good price. The salesman that assisted me, RJ, was very informative and helpful in making my decision. The only complication I had making my purchase was an issue with my license. After taking care of the issue, I resubmitted my DROS and10 days later I was able to pick up my firearm. The entire process took about 4 weeks. Some might say that going through this experience would be discouraging and frustrating. I, on the other hand, appreciate the patience all of the staff displayed, from answering any and all of my questions to the prompt responses to my emails. I would definitely recommend anyone go to Ammo Bros to purchase a firearm. But when do...go early and wait in the line before they open, like an hour or 2 early. read more

I ran into Ammo Bros at the Ontario gun show in May. I was looking for the Smith and Wesson 15 sport 2. They were the only ones carrying rifles. Everyone else only had 80% or just parts. This guy helped me out dude reeked from sweating smelled like onions lol but he was cool. He helped me out with the paper work bought the Rifle. He wanted to give me that same ar that was on display, but I told him i wanted one straight from the warehouse. So he made some calls and got me a new serial number. I also bought a Tactical Padded Weapon Case for 25$ ... I visited their store In Ontario and bought some xtm enhanced rail panels and an extra hexmag for my Ar. The Hexmags are 5 dollars more than at the gun show. I waited to go to the next show in Costa Mesa June 3-4 . ran into them again and bought 6 hexmags and ammo . because i bought all that, the employee was going to hook me up with a shirt butttttt, apparently this other employee forgot to bring them. The employees at this store are chill. They're very helpful. Just need to smile a bit more a little tooo serious . Buying a firearm during the pandemic has not been the easiest processes with the influx of new gun owners and the extended wait time from the DOJ, but Ammo Bros surely does not make it any easier. My primary disappointment is with their customer service. For starters, they aren't taking any calls, not accepting appointments, and are forcing people to line outside. Many other gun stores are handling this process much better compared to Ammo Bros. Other stores are taking appointments or allowing customers to wait inside their car until it is their turn. Ammo bros. had everyone outside no shade in 90 degree weather for hours. I was there to simply pick up my firearm, and the process took me over 7 hours to go inside. Needless to say, i am extremely sun burnt. There staff seems to not be operating efficiently. They'd allow groups of 4 to come inside, but would not allow anyone to enter until told so; even when three of the four customers had already left. Keep in mind, it is over 90 degrees outside and people are outside waiting. Even if they didn't want to answer the phone, they could have made this process much easier by allowing people to wait in their car until it was their turn to come in. But no, Ammo Bros neglected their customers and forced everyone to stay outside. I give credit where its due, thus, i am giving it two stars. Once inside, the staff is helpful and willing to help out with any questions. Just wish they would operate a bit more efficiently and be mindful of the customers waiting outside in the scorching hot summers day. read more

Today was my first day here . My husband needed a magazine. Customer service was horrible. I have been in retail for 30 years and this was the worst experience. There was zero greeting when we walked in . How about Hi Welcome to Ammo Brothers . We will be tight with you. All the customers were waiting and being ignored. There was a Hispanic gentleman heavyset behind the counter. He never once made eye contact or looked up or acknowledged anybody. *********WARNING* ******** Do not purchase a firearm from this place. I read some of the previous yelp reviews about ammo bros selling used guns as new. I thought to myself "No way",but after my 10 day wait I was excited to pick up my pistol and see it was full of smudges,finger prints, scratches,and what looked like lip stick or nail polish on the slide. Also the barrel appeared worn (more than just a test fire from the manufacturer) of course like the previous review indicated the manager said is was test fire from the manufacturer . This gun was at minimum the floor sample. They ended up finding another one (that wasn't much better) and wouldn't even throw in any product,oil, or solution to clean up what should have been a factory new gun. I've purchased several guns from Turners always fresh and clean out the box! read more

Don't waste your time or money here. I bought a gun off their website as it was supposedly "in stock" and shipped from their warehouse "immediately". I went to pick the gun up a few days later and waited several hours just go get inside only to find out that the gun I already paid for hasn't even shipped out of their warehouse yet. They said to not come back until they texted me that my gun had arrived. Their website didn't mention anything about that...and now, its been about 2 weeks and the gun still hasn't shipped yet. And of course I'll have another long, long, long wait just to pick the gun up when it finally arrives. It's rare that I spend the time to write a review, but my recent experience with this store have left such a negative impression on me that I feel I am obligated to share my encounter with any future potential patron. I have been going to this particular branch of Ammo Bros for years since it is located fairly close to my residence. In the past, the staff has generally been very helpful, the items variety stocked was great and I enjoy the overall clean and efficient layout of the store. I did plenty of PPT and DROS transaction at this store as well as loading up on cleaning supplies and ammunitions. My latest experience with this store, however, graduated from a minor inconvenience to possibly outright the worst retail experience I have ever had. I purchased a firearm from out of state and had it shipped to this branch of Ammo Bros for DROS. FedEX confirmed the firearm arrive on Monday but I couldn't start the DROS until Friday due to the fact that they couldn't find the firearm. The staff has said that the gun was likely shipping to their HQ nearby and they simply did not have it on site. This, while irksome, was anything worth complaining about. When it came time to pick up my firearm, I was serviced by a young Asian gentleman. The way he handled my firearm was simply unacceptable. Without asking for permission, he manhandled and toyed with my rifle with absolutely no regards. At one point, he used metal of his ball point pen, push against one of the welded pins of my rifle. For what purpose he did this, I still do not understand. A brand new $2,000+ firearm and he left a blemish on the finish simply for his amusement. He then put the butt of the rifle on the floor then tried to remove the welded muzzle device. The staff proceed to play games with my firearms, taking it around their facility, shouldering it. At one point, the staff hid the rifle and took another rifle from their shelf to prank one another. The entire pickup process lasted over 45 minutes. Ammo Bro used to be one of my favorite FFL due to their great customer service, knowledgeable staff, and great products selections. My most recent experience left me flabbergasted and I have a very hard time recommending anyone to go to their Ontario store. read more

My friend was going to purchase a gun for home protection so I went with him we saw this sign from highway 15 and went to the outlet called Ammo Brothers. They have a electronic security door that is locked and electronically opens to let one customer at a time in. You have to pick a number to be serviced. I was going to get some rounds for target practice and the price was very competitive. So I got extra round for myself. What I saw here and later at Outdoors world and the internet ammo is all sold out, store shelves are empty. I asked the people were they getting the ammo for hunting the answer was for protection. After what happened in New Jersey and New York was lots of looting and people are getting ready to protect themselves in case of a disaster. The store is great with the best prices on Guns , ammo and all hunting gear. read more

Don't buy the gun from them. They sold me a used gun as new. I just pick up my M&P shield today. Surprisingly when I got home and exam the pistol, it had excessive wear and tear on the slide around firing pin. The barrel had old powder residue and took me some time to remove them. When I contact the shop they told me sometimes the manufacturer test fire the gun. I've purchased many different new guns and never received any with such condition. If anyone wants to buy new gun, go to Turner's. They might cost a little more but they are honest and always take customer satisfaction seriously. read more

Horrible Customer Service!!!! My first negative review on yelp. I called the shop the week before christmas and i asked what time are you open till. I was told 6:00pm. So i get off work at 5:00pm and rush over and hit traffic. 45minutes later I'm proceeding to enter the store at exactly 5:45pm. Im told by the employee that i can't be helped and their closed. I explain to them I drove a fair distance and i still have 15 minutes. I get attitude from the employee and once again told he can't help me. What kind of customer service is that? I will never Ever set foot in an establishment that has horrible customer service and doest take care of their customers. That girl that runs the front desk is also extremely rude. When you walk in through the front door you are greeted by a steel door. I take safety very seriously so this is nothing out of the ordinary. Make eye contact with the person at the front counter and they will let you in. Once inside they have a pretty cool selection of gear, targets, guns, ammo, and emergency supplies. I thought staff was cool and informative. I stopped by because I was in the Ontario area. Unfortunately, they did not have any 9mm or 22lr but I did buy some cleaning supplies. One staff member said ammo arrives at random throughout the week, it's either a hit or miss. Next time I'm in the area I may have better luck with ammo. read more

Found a guy online to trade my AR for his Sig556 so we met up at his gun store of choice (Ammo Bro's). I've seen the guys at Ammo Brothers occasionally at random Gun Shows but I've never actually drove out that far north to go. Anyhow the store is massive compared to the stores we have in San Diego. It was pretty busy and the staff was slammed helping other customers. I waited patiently and eventually a staff got to me, helped me get my gun DROS'ed, paid for, and got me on my way. Gun prices here are on the typical retail side which means more expensive than normal. However they do put out a monthly ad which usually has a killer deal. For example: I've been looking for a GSG 1911 .22LR just for a cheap plinker. Most gun stores down in SD are selling they around $370 - $350. Here it was $400. However the sale was $350 for the gun + 1 additional magazine ($35 dollar value). Now this deal is killer and definitely beats everything in SD, including Turners Christmas sale ($335). So my point is there is definitely sales to be had. Check their website, and shop around. Some nice things about this store: - They have an armorer - They have tons of selection and items you won't see anywhere else. I even saw a SCAR (not sure 17 or 16) but yah, you don't see those a lot... - Ton's of targets and other cool things you normally don't see anywhere but at gun shows Staff is hit or miss I guess. They treated me nicely, but then again I didn't ask stupid questions, point any guns at them by accident, or say stupid things so maybe that's why they tolerated me? If you want to buy ammo, the setup is not customer friendly. One person behind the counter while you have to wait your turn. Then, you have to ask for each ammo type and caliber. As you can see, this process is labor intensive and takes a long time. Perhaps this was done to cut down on theft but there has to be a more efficient way to do business. Not many staff to help, I have been here a few times so this seems to be consistent....consistent poor service and attitude. Not impressed with this store and would prefer Turner's. read more

I have two firearms on lay away and when I went to pay them off yesterday I came across an employee named Matt, skinny white guy with a beard, he was very short and has the worst customer service of any ammo brothers employee I have ever encountered, dude may have been having a bad day and when I asked to see the firearm I ordered he seemed upset and said he had to go get it, I asked him if he hated his job and he said "no why, I told him he had poor customer service and his reply was sorry you feel that way" a buddy of mine who was present had to walk away before he said something to get us ejected from the store, very disappointed in my recent visit and will probably to business elsewhere in the future. read more

My husband is a gun hobbiest and has spent hundreds of dollars at this store, including purchasing a pretty nice pistol. they do have wonderful things and price is not an issue going into that store. But we always walk out upset about the customer service. The attitude is always negative, less than willing to answer your questions, and act superior to all customers. Honestly i have seen them laugh and make fun of customers once they have left the building. Only reason why we continue going is because its the closest gun shop in the area. read more
