I went in with acne and a few months later, I've got multiple scars from their improper skin treatment techniques. My sister has met with dermatologists to improve her acne scars. I am also in the process of visiting a dermatologist to eliminate my acne scars. This business charged us for their poor services and because of them I will likely spend much more money on removing my acne scars. I remember how painful my facial was. My wife went here with a friend for a facial. The lady who did her facial was a smoker who didn't wash her hands in handling her face. She did facial massage most of the time and put on her a facial mask. No other treatment was done. No skin pore cleansing. No microdermabrasion. Nothing. It was a disappointing experience. They displayed DBH products but did not use any of such on her. They didn't know that my wife is a licensed cosmetologist who also does facial. She knew that they underserved her. So I had a 3 part gift certificate and the first was for a mini facial but I upgraded it to the 60 min facial so it should've been 70 min but ended up being like 55 min! Got in on time. My appt was at 11 and I was out at the front reception at 11:55. I asked the girl and she didn't really have an answer and just said the first few min was consultation time BUT there wasn't any initial consultation! Lol it took about 2 words during the consult and it def didn't take "15 min". For the most part, the facial was great but I def felt the rush at times (maybe that's why it only took 55 min) and the esthetician was good. Idk how to explain the technique (go look up korean facial technique) because some portions of the massage was a little rougher than just your typical rub down. She did extractions but I still noticed some areas she missed. They use a mix of products, mostly korean brands. I loved the fizzy cleanser although she called it an enzyme mask. It was called sparkling cleanser by "Celeb face". The hydrating rubber mask was amazing. It immediately felt cooling on my face. But if you're claustrophobic, it might freak you out a bit because this mask consists of a thin gauge covering your whole face, she cut a hole for your nose, and this mask that sits on your skin for about 15 min covers your eyes and lips. (Google korean rubber mask) My skin felt very moisturized and hydrated after but for some reason my skin felt greasy for the whole day even after I washed it two times to get that feel off. I believe my esthi's name was Anna. Nice lady, does a good job. The certificate consists of 2 more. My next one is a microdermabrasion. I'll update that when I go in a few weeks. Thus far, I would've given the facial a 3.5 out of 5 but obvi there's no option for that. read more

The facialist at Amor are great and I have been a customer for awhile here. I do however, have issue with the owner, she's very pushy and rude. I really think she should let her managers deal with customers as she is certainly doesn't have the personality to deal with people. I keep going because they really do a great facial and I have not found another spa that is better. And to the yelper who said that only people with bad skin go to estheticians, not true at all. I decided to give this new skin clinic a try because there are a few nice reviews and I really wanted to clean up my pores after Coachella. I end up leaving the salon with a very good experience and a membership card! I had Yunice as my esthetician and she is very polite and her massages are pretty good. I talked to her about my concern (large pores) and she suggested the hydra facial. They have an equipment that uses water to suck out the dirt, oil, and sebum in the pores. Yunice had to do some extraction around my nose and my chin manually after the machine performed the first round of cleaning, and she cleaned out everything without hurting me one bit! I can't remember how much the regular price hydra facial was because when I went they were doing a Mother's Day special. My hour and half long facial was supposed to be $150, but I bought the package for 10 facials with them so the owner gave me this first facial for free! The owner even gave me a full size Korean face cleanser before I left. I would definitely recommend my girls to come here to try it out. read more

My search for a non-pushy facial with extraction continues. Few gripes with this place and really they need to get a consultant in there because there are so many areas of improvement. I purchased a 10 session membership and just finished. 1. I always get a different aesthetician. This would be fine and they're all solid but if they want to upsell me on something 5x each time I go, I need to trust the person treating my skin. I'm a lot less likely to agree to buy another new machine that is recommended by some lady who looked at my skin for 30 seconds. Give me the same aesthetician who I've grown to trust and maybe I will purchase that $400 special you're having. 2. It feels like I'm buying a car every time. They will try to get you to buy something else in addition to your package EVERY TIME they enter the room (ie. ~4x an hour). Its supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable time but instead I'm just uncomfortable figuring out polite ways to say no. 3. It drives me crazy watching them flip through their handwritten appointment book with all these erasing marks and cross outs and then pull out the other book to find my membership. This is 2019, get a computer and your efficiency will increase ten fold. 4. Tell me what you're doing at each step/with each machine. I'd like to know what benefits my skin is getting. This past time they tried to sell me on a new machine, told me NOTHING about what this new machine does, only kept repeating that its a new machine and that I need it for $1200. She tried to sell me on this machine at least 3 times and not once did she tell me what this machine actually does for my skin. Last thing - my most recent aesthetician (again, new to me) kept repeating how "terrible" my skin is. Like 5-6 times just shaking her head saying how terrible my skin is. WELL OF COURSE, LADY! I came here in the recommendation of my bestfriend, I made an appointment and my husband spoiled me for my birthday, cool. First facial ever! Once I got there I had to wait 15 minutes to be seen, then I was taken to this room and put a robe, I laid on the table and the lady that was going to do my facial came in. Examined my skin and recommended the hydro facial which would cost $200. That's when her selling pitch begins, offers me the facial for $175 if I buy 10! Okay that's over $1,700 I'm not gonna drop that kind of money especially since I have two kids. She then said okay I'll leave it for $150 buy 10. I kept repeating myself, explaining to her this was a gift from my husband and when I came back IF i came back i would think about it. The facial was okay, I guess I was expecting more for $200. The extractions were REALLY quick and overall it lasted about an hour and a half. Once again when It came time to pay and I was leaving the head manager comes up I'm assuming the lady told her I had refused the membership, offered me AGAIN the membership for another kind of facial for $1000 for 8 sessions. Once again, no thank you. She looks at the cashier and tell her to charge me. Hate to post negative reviews, but wanted to warn those with the promotion cards just so it's fair. I waited months to post this because we just finished our 3 full treatments. *hoping..... it'll get better* -My mom and I had promotion cards, so 3 treatments for the price of $45 total per person. So we paid $90 for the both of us for 3 treatments EACH. The guy originally came to my mom's work saying it was $90/card, but he'll give us a discount of $80 for EACH card... my mom some how able to talk to him and get it for $45/each. So supposedly we were suppose to get a 50% discount per person right? When we showed up the first time, the lady was quite convincing..... and my mom and I BOTH decided to upgrad to an hour extra of facial massage/mask. TWO things wrong with this. 1. the lady said the promotion card was for the basic facial.... that's why it's only $45/person for all 3 treatments and if we want more we had to pay more....soo.... you're telling me.. this whole time.. the card was $45... and you tried to get us to pay TWICE the price? WTF? 2. we paid for an hour of massage/facial... it was only 40 minutes.. of which... 12 ish minutes I was just laying there for it to 'marinate' into my skin or whatever it was...... DISAPPOINTING. Our first time here, and we already had a bad experience with being skimped out on time... like if it was by 5-10 minutes... ok fine.. but 20? NOT cool.. my whole facial thing was not even 1 hour... so my 'basic' PLUS my 'one hour upgrade'. I had a fit bit, so I was watching the time. That's not even the worst part.. as we were leaving.. the girl tries to sell us the packages... and was very very aggressive about it... I'm sure they're commission based which was why they were trying so hard... but geez.... no is a no... and it didn't help that the Korean boss was just standing there with us... trying to tell us AND her worker what the worker JUST said..... we get it..... you'll give us a free session if we pay you $1,000 for 5 treatments.... but that's a lot of money to front...especially since our experience wasn't even positive. -Second session? Don't even remember.. THAT mediocore -Third session.... best one out of 3, but we soon learned, just leave the tip on the bed and run out before they can try to sell you packages.. luckily, the Chinese worker and the Korean boss were both bothering this other Chinese lady, so my mom and I were able to sneak out peacefully! pretty much in summary, everything on the promotion card..... is a bit exaggerated.... consultation? No one spoke at all, and didn't even get their name... green tea and water? uhhhh never got it..... personalized mask? No idea what was happening half the time since my eyes were closed and no one spoke. I get it.. promotion card.. you're trying to promote so it's a cheaper price, but you can't do cheap work and try to promote..... I'd rather pay full price for full experience, the promotion card was suppose to be a way to DRAW IN customers.. not push them away..... I'm sorry.... I just don't see how this place can be successful.... ambiance, front desk lady, parking, cleanliness... all amazing... but marketing/management.. ya'll need work. Good luck read more

A good friend of mine was generous enough to get me a gift certificate for three mini treatments: facial, microderm abrasion, and ultra sound treatments. The first day, a lady named Lydia did my treatment and it was ok. She was so aggressive with her face massage that it felt like sje didn't enjoy her job at all. She pressed hard to sell me a full treatment and when I didn't give in, she told me my skin texture "just ok" but needed work immediately and that I will definitely need regular treatments after age 40. I didn't mention I'm already 44. The second visit was supposed to be the microderm abrasion but the treatment was lackluster at best. The esthetician was silent and rushed through it. The final treatment was done by a woman named Jen, I think, and she was rude as heck. She told me I have terrible skin and that it was really bad---in those words. I told the girl at the counter named Nayeli, that the esthetician had been rude and unprofessional in her delivery and she just nervously smiled and said, "I'll tell them". Bottom line is that I'm a grown up and can handle the truth about my skincare needs but I don't expect my esthetician to be rude and abrasive in her tone. Kindness and professionalism go a long way and due to the absence of both from Amor Skin Clinic, I will not be a return customer. read more

The reason why I am writing this review is because they did not honor my gift certificate. I was given a certificate December 2019 for Christmas. Unable to use it due to the pandemic. I had called to make an appointment and then to confirm I am able to use the gift certificate. They gave me this long story about why they were not going to honor the gift certificate. They informed me that it was an invalid certificate and that whoever sold it to the person that gifted me it should contact the seller. They continue to say that it was through a third-party individual and they should have never sold it. The frustrating part is that they were very rude about it, as if it were my fault or I was lying. They asked me why I did not use the certificate sooner. Not sure which world they were in in the last two years but we were in the middle of a pandemic which made it impossible to use. Even if I had gone and had theirs services they wouldn't have honored the certificate. They kept going back-and-forth with their story. It was very frustrating to have to go through this. The person who I spoke to was really rude and unpleasant. They kept informing me that the person should have never sold it as if it was something I could have controlled. They also continue to say to contact the person that sold it to me over and over, clearly they were not listening because I told them several times it was gifted to me for Christmas 2019, they kept telling me that's not possible. I even had to send them a picture of the certificate. They said that it was for a campaign they were running a long time ago and that the person should have never sold it and again contact the person. Clearly they don't listen here, it was a waste of money and I feel bad for the person that bought it for me because they bought some thing as a nice gesture. It's just very unfortunate that they don't listen to their clients. Glad that I didn't get their services because they would've been rude as hell. I don't recommend this place if they're going to be rude to people. Next time do your homework and when you are involving someone into a campaign make sure they're good.
