I definitely recommend! First, this place is super cute and has such charm to it already, even though they just opened! Second, who doesn't love good Italian food?! The menu has so many amazing sounding dishes that it was hard to decide! I ended up going with the Mushroom Ravioli and it did not disappoint!! It was savory and mouth watering and just... YUM! It was a great portion size and plated well. It came with a salad and bread. The salad dressing was great, though I have no clue what it was! Their bread is served soft and warm and they pour oil and vinegar over breadcrumbs for you to dip your bread in. I had a glass of Kendall Jackson Cabernet with my meal. All interactions with staff were great and it was an overall pleasant experience! I will be back for sure! read more

I've been wanting to go here since they opened. I finally had the opportunity to go with a friend to celebrate my birthday. If you want fresh home made authentic Italian food then this is the place for you. We got there right when they opened and we're immediately given a warm and friendly greeting/ welcome. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. They do have gluten free pasta however there is a $3.00 up charge. They have plenty of parking and outdoor seating is available when the weather warrants being outside. read more

The chicken piccata was absolutely amazing! I also loved the dressing that came on the house salad. This was my second time eating here as the first time was not as good, as the calamari was overcooked, but I am so glad I tried it again and will be getting the piccata again! Food and service were both excellent. We had a wonderful dinner and food was so good that we forgot to take a picture before diving in. This was my first time visiting Amore, and I am beyond impressed. The root ravioli appetizer was my favorite, because the flavors and textures were so beautifully balanced. Even the salad had a great flavor! Our server, Judith, was very knowledgeable on the menu and offered good recommendations. They said they were short-staffed, but you wouldn't have known with the level of service I received. The interior of the building is calming and romantic. I love this little place and their friendly staff. The food is delicious. Each meal comes with soup or salad and bread with an aged balsamic/olive oil dipping sauce which is a refreshing change from most other restaurants. The ingredients are fresh, delicious house salad dressing, home made pastas and sauces. I had the "amazing dish," and the squash ravioli and both were generous portions and super yummy. My family had fettuccine Alfredo and the eggplant and were very happy with their entrees. I make a point to go whenever I am visiting Indy. read more

We had a party of 7 tonight and 4 had never been to Amore before. Before we left, the 4 newbies were raving about how Amore had the best Italian food in Indiana and beyond. I couldn't agree more! The ambiance is homy and comfortable, the staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is to die for! I have never had a bad or even okay meal here. The food is consistently outstanding and the portions are massive. But make sure you leave room for dessert though because all of the desserts are made in-house and are delicious. This Italiano enjoy her dinner tonight. My husband and I are fans of AJ's, enjoy the food, service and music so I was anxious to try Amore. Beautiful night to sit outside. I had a glass of Chianti, good wine reasonably price(I think it was the Lauren), hubby had Peroni. We started with the Jessepeppers, a bit on the spicy side but very good, enjoyed the sausage stuffing. I had the salad and mushroom ravioli, both very good. Hubby had the cream soup with gnocchi, he enjoyed, I thought it was heavy, he had the pork ragu which also was very good. Bread was served with salad and soup and it was good and hot. We had Cory as our server, he did a nice job. When we were discussing dessert the waitress at the next table recommended the Italian Cream cake, it also was very good (although I would of loved a cannoli) next time. FYI there were so many great options on the menu I really had a tough time deciding.....look forward in going back read more

Great new quaint Italian fare. The food, service, and menu variety is excellent. Quantities are typical for Italian servings so be prepared to take some home. The salads, soups and pasta are above average for only being open for a month. I would look for this restaurant to continue to thrive as word of mouth will do this establishment justice. Appreciate the feedback and wish you would have stopped by to share. We did not know of the issues in the kitchen nor was anything communication to us about it. If known in advance, we could have come back another time or have been more patient. With 4 kids 13 and under; it is a daunting task keeping them preoccupied while they wait for their food. The paper table clothes help. One other small item to note; please bring the kids food first. Our kids food came out about 5 to 10 mins after the parents. Its difficult for some parents to eat there food while the kids are still waiting for theirs. Thanks again for the response and we will try again once you are more settled. read more

Best Chicken Piccata ANYWHERE! The atmosphere is nice, the portions are very generous and the staff is really friendly. Have been a few times and haven't had anything that wasn't stellar! The Braised Beef Cannelloni was fabulous, the salad with that homemade dressing is amazing, their Italian sausage has a great flavor with a little kick to it! We were looking for Italian while on the North side of Indy and liked the reviews here, so gave it a shot. Boy are we glad we did! Our server, Gregory, was attentive and full of excellent recommendations, and not just his own favorites - he shared those but asked what we liked and tweaked his advice accordingly. I went nuts and got the surf and turf (ribeye and shrimp) with garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. Almost licked the plate - delicious! The bride got a house dish, strabiliante, that was a new one for her and she loved it. The daughter did a classic fettuccini Alfredo (they were out of the ravioli that was her first choice) and she also gave it high marks. Entrees include excellent bread with Parmesan/herbs/oil and a nice house salad. When the bride waffled on her choice of Chardonnay, Gregory brought generous tastings of each. I tried a seasonal watermelon martini that was also quite nice. Atmosphere was excellent - art on the walls feature bicycles, a favorite! Crooner playlist fit and not too loud for conversation. Absolutely terrible service. Ask to switch tables if you get the older extremely rude waitress. I took kids to the restaurant at 5:30pm and an hour later still did not have my dinner. After 80 mins I insisted I had to leave for bedtime and she brought me a bill for the kids food and said she decided to take the adult meal that was never received off the check. She told me they are short staffed and customers being patient is important. I will not be returning to be treated disrespectfully in front of my children. I was pleasantly surprised with this new restaurant. Not your typical American/Italian food. The waitress was very friendly and attentive to us. I had Pork Ragu and my husband Shrimp Diavolo.
